When creating a dropdown in After Effects ExtendScript code. The dropdowns sometimes display extra bottom spacing. I just got a new computer but I'm having issues with After Effects CC 2020. When i open it and try to create a new composition my computer freezes and restarts. I found someone having a similar problem and the solution said to uninstall "Intel Turbo Max Boost Technology" but i couldn't find the program installed on my computer. Does anyone know how else I can fix this problem? Computer Specs:Intel Core i7-8565U @ 1.99 GHz16GB RAMGeForce GTX 1080 TiWindows 10 Home 

Is there a way to auto scale each row of text so that it aligns on both the left and right side? Ideal would be if every row of text is seperated with a line break so that I can choose the amount of text on each row.Is it possible to connect the width of each row to the Paragraph Text Bounding box?Is it possible to change the leading of each row with a expression slider?

For example I'm typing text and its bounding box seemed to be "pushing out" the squares in size around the frame/border of the text rather than its position point. This question comes up quite a bit on forums and it seems to trip people up: "how can you have a loop expression (either LoopIn or LoopOut) and then end the loop so that your animation continues on its way"? Or put another way: "How do you break out of a loop in After Effects?"   Well there's not one answer, there's at least 4 depending how you count it, or possibly 5 or maybe 6 if you're being generous. Is there a Generative AI plugin for After Effects that can create graphics with motion in the same way that Photoshop can create Generative AI still images? I am interested in creating backgrounds that look like the interior of some aquariums, but the ones I made took a ton of time, and I am looking for the quickest way to make a bunch more aquarium animated backgrounds. 

I appreciate the power of the new Essential Graphics, but I really miss the older simpler 'Live Text Templates.' With EGs, I don't see any way to edit existing MOGRTs. This is very annoying. Say I use a MOGRT hundreds of times in a Premiere sequence ... then decide I want to change something. AFAIK, I have to manually re-export from Ae, there's no way to replace the existing MOGRT, because Pr creates its own "local" copy of the original, so I have to manually replace every instance of the graphic in my timeline. With the old Text Templates, I could simply drag a Comp from Ae to Pr, change text, and make changes in Ae which would instantly reflect in Pr. I really miss this. I tried "Reveal in Finder" on the MOGRT from Pr, which locates an .aegraphic file, which is actually a ZIP file, which if you rename and add .zip, and then uncompress, will give you a folder with an .aep of your graphic. I’ve been trying to align animations using guide rulers I’ve added, but I’m encountering an issue. When I hover the pen tool over the guideline ruler, it won’t snap or draw on top of the line or intersection, it just changes to the adjustment tool briefly which doesnt allow me to draw. I suspect I might be doing something wrong. Is there a better workaround besides using the default gridlines

I want to have the 3D glow projected only onto the big sine wave? When I mask the 3D glow to be where I want it collapses back to 2DThe glow looks great in 3D (see here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lIy0PdzTlKU&ab_channel=123string4) but I only want glows to be shining from the vertical spikes and projecting straight onto the sine waves. Is there any way to do this?

Hello Everyone... Am having the following issue: I am trying to RAM Preview OCIO Managed project .exr sequence and it would never preview Real Time! Tryied using  lower resolution with no result. The only way i can RAM preview real time is when i switch to Adobe Managed.I am behind an i9-10850K, 64gb Ram, 8 gb 3070 RTX. Everything runs on NVMes (Seperate one for Cache)My monitor refresh rate is 144hz, tryied lower that to 59,9 with no luck. Any ideas???  

Help me with expression... I have comp “ONE”, there in layer “TWO” comp with animation (10 sec).I need that when animated, from right to left, comp “TWO” crosses comp “ONE” in the middle, in comp “TWO” starts animation from the first frame (before the intersection, the animation should be frozen on the 1st frame).I need this expression as property layer “TWO” - Time remap.Thanks.

My after effects 2024(also on 2023) crash on startup.I try reset preferences, and delete AppData's ae folder are not works.It can only startup on safe mode.The same issues on Media Encoder/au 2023 & 2024.Please check the screencap for the pc's spec and those app crash report. This laptop can run AE 2022 smooth but it just removed on last update and cannot download anymore..If can't fix those issues, please can someone give me the installer for 2022 version? Thanks.

I updated to Adobe 24.0, and when I go to use the graph editor it clamps my graph down totally flat and unusable. I can't scale the graph at all, and I need to restart AE. SUPER annoying. MacOS Monteray 12.5, Apple M1

I am using Adobe After Effects to edit my videos and I use Adobe Media Encoder to render my videos but it is getting stuck at "Remaining 00:00:00". What can I do to fix this? Note:I am rending a 5-6 min videos.Rendering a shorter video of 10 seconds WORKS.I have tried the pause and continue trick I saw on another discussion and it does not work for me! Please let me know if you have any question or concerns!

I'm experiencing a strange glitch with AE 2024, which I just updated to this afternoon. When I want to watch for playback, the preview window is tinting the entire image magenta. I've posted a screenshot. Has anyone else here experienced this?

Since august and sometimes when I do a click on after effects, the program stops working, then works again. It appears the wait rainbow on mac. Before August didnt happen. Somebody with the same problem? My colleague with other mac studio like mine don`t have the same issues.

I'm using the Inter font. I want to extrude my layers, so I intend to use cinema 4D mode as a 3D renderer. When I switch to cinema 4D mode, my fonts look strange, with some places where there are supposed to be holes filled in. Any ideas on how to resolve this? In Classic 3D mode the fonts look as they should. See attached. 

A great feature of Adobe XD is the ability to export layers/ artboards directly to After Effects (something missing from Illustrator, without third party plugins). One thing I've noticed, though, is when changing the imported comp settings in After Effects, the UI/ program freezes temporarily. Changing comp name seems ok-but changing comp timeframe (which always defaults to 60p-should be configurable in AE/ XD) or duration causes the Composition Settings window-and hence the program-to freeze/ become unresponsive for up to a minute. I've noticed this for some time-not new to current version of AE/ XD-but have suddenly become hyper aware of it as I'm using a lot of artwork from a a designer who likes to work in XD.

We render our videos with aerender on console. From time to time After Effects crashed. In protocol file from AE v22.6 the error (0 :: 42) is written, the protocol file from v24.0 doesn't mentioned an error. The errors occured on 22.x, 23.x and also on 24.0. We tested different macOS versions. The errors occured on all tested versions (12.6.x and 13.5.x).  We have the error on both Intel and M1 processor. I also tested different RStemplate & OMtemplate settings. The error occrued on all combination I had tested. We use aerender with following parameters:aerender -project xy.aep -comp XY -RStemplate "Optimale Einstellungen" -OMtemplate "Hohe Qualität" -output out.movProtocol file v22.6 contains:After Effects can’t continue: sorry, After Effects has crashed. Hi all, I have a composition (with some essential properties that control colors, text and so on..) on which I have applied a bunch of effects in order to create a fake 3d shadow. The last effect on the list is a CC composite.  CC composite doesn't update properly.As you can see from the video, the shadow animates as expected but the text and its containing shape don't. If I delete the CC composite effect and then re-apply it, then yes! the animation updates as expected.I've already deleted the effect and reapplied it several times today and it's extremely frustrating.Version 24.0.0 build 55Win 11Cheers,Davidehttps://youtu.be/WIbeYiK_TAU

Hi everyone, in the latest versions of AE 2023 and 2024 I noticed a lot of RAM usage and I can't play even simple projects. Are any of you experiencing the same problem?I have two macs: MBP14 M1 Max, 32 RAM and iMac27 i9, 64RAM

I just purchased a new mac book pro m2 chip and just purchased all the adobe programs and downloaded premiere pro, photoshop, illustrator and after effect but when I go to open after effects for the first time it shows a crash repair options (I've attached pic) if I click any of the options a new menu pops us saying "there are duplicated effect plug-ins installed on your drive. To avoid problems, quit After Effects and move or delete the older or unneeded versions." But I haven't installed any plugins and when I pull up the plugin menu on adobe cloud I don't see any plug ins. I have tried restarting the laptop, uninstalling after effects but nothing works! Please advise 🙏
