After Effects

I've had After Effects for the past 3-4 years and I've had no problem with it. Now it says my CEP could not be loaded every time I try to open the application. I've reinstalled both After Effects and Creative Cloud but nothing works. I've even deleted all my plugins and cleared storage but nothing seems to fix it. 

when i start to play the preview on my edit, therer is a 4-5 black bar and suddently appeare for 2-3 frame after. I dont know how could this happen. I did a purge all memory, change the preview to full and it seems doesnt work.   if you have an answer, please give it a comment bellow. it really halpfull to me also for anyone that have a same problem as me. Thank you

I have this issue for some time when am doing an edit after max 10 minutes out of memory bug is aporaching this is strange beacuse am working on 32 gb ram pc and i use quarter resolution minimum specs reg are 16 gb of ram and i have double of that and i'm giving all the ram to the app 

After Effects auto-upgraded to v24 and now it won't load a plugin that I built with the May 2023 version of the After-Effects Plug-in SDK. There's no indication as to why this is happening. The plugin is based off of the Examples/UI/Colorgrid example in the SDK.  Anybody have any ideas?

Hi, sorry to interrupt but i have a similar problem. My Ae crash at splash screen after one or two clic or in the post launch.I mention that in a post but I tried litteraly everything.By reading the logs, it seems that the problem came from Creative Cloud and it specific to After Effect because Premiere and other program works well. Everything was going fine with my project that i started on after effect 2023 and then finish on the lastest version of after effect. The problem now is that I can't open my file anymore because it says that a png file is missing and my fast box blur effect is missing too. I really don't understand and don't know what to do please help !!!!!!

I have iMac i7 27", 32 Ram 2013.In my creative cloud I can't find earlier versions of After Effects (2022)And I'm unable to install After Effects, Premiere Pro etc.MI'm using Catalina and I don't want to upgrade and I think I can't even upgrade it. Is there any way I can download 2022 After Effects, Premiere Pro and other apps? Thank you.

After Effects keeps crashing at the media core login screen especially when I have Red Giant products installed. So far trapcode suite and VFX suite since last Thursday (November 16th). I was working on it, and my preview cant load more than 2sec, so i closed the program.After that, i cant open it again, ive already uninstalled it, installed older versions, deleted the preferences with shift+alt+ctrl, and still not openning, please help!!!! I need to workkkkk!!!!!!

I have 30 layers. I have a random number generator (1-30) on a Null Slider Control. I have a preset expression applied to the 30 layers that on each frame compares the random number from the Null to the index of the layers, if the condition is met (random# = index) the opacity toggles from 0 to 100.  Changes the opacity back to 0 when the condition is no longer met. Works great. No markers, no keyframes. What I'd love to add is a gradual fade from 100 back to 0. AE doesn't support events, so when the match is made on frame X, there's no trigger to start the fade over several frames. AE reruns the expression on every frame and (I think) it has no method for storing variables that can exist from one frame to the next, so I can't store the time when the match is made to then use as the starting frame for a loop to control the fade. Is there any way to add a change in value for the opacity (or really any property) over several frames once the expression hits the ne

I've been experiencing painfully slow updates in preview when trying to update text since my system was upgraded to Sonoma (specs below). It's happening across multiple projects, and I've tried clearing caches, adjusting memory, removing graphics, everything I can think of. It's also dragging a bit on Windows 11, but not to the extent it is on Mac.  Does anyone have any thoughts?  iMac 2020Processor 3.3 GHz 6 core Intel i516GB 2667 Mhz DDR4Sonoma 14.1 OS

Hi. I installed After Effects 2023 on my PC. It comes up with the splash screen and thats as far as it gets. It just craps out. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times. No luck. When i import a Plugin its take a lot of significant time, almost crashes every time and affect my workflow. Idk if a thing of the plugin, i did something wrong or what i thing and its most likely its a baaad performance in these new versions. I hope someone can help me.

Hello, I have one question. I have one iMac 27 late 2014 with i5, 24gb RAM, graphics card of 2gb... and obviously now with After Effects or ME it's very slow, too much lag and also takes 3 hours to render in full hd a video of 10 min.The question is, if I buy a 16gb RAM Mac Mini M2, how much can the improvement be?How long can the render take? Because 3 or 4 hours it's a lot of time.Thanks

New to After FX and my defaults are apprently messed up; the space bar isn't set up to play back my animation (in fact no buttons are, so I have no idea how to play back and all I can do is scrub but then I have no sense of the actual timing)! Went to "keyboard shortcuts" but can't find a "play"function to assign the space bar to. Does anyone know what the play function is called (if not "play") and under which menu I'd find it (ie timeline? edit? animation? view?)? Thank youuuuu!

Hello guys yesterday I was testing some workflows in Aces between davinci, nuke and ae.I came a across a strange thing:In AE I can correctly import and interpret an slog3-sgamut3 from a sony alpha 7s but when I try to write out an .exr sequence I cannot choose the same IDT (slog3-sgamut3). Is it normal? I can use aces cg or 2065-1 and for me it's not a big deal but I think it is strange. I am quite sure that some time ago I succeded in doing this but at this point I am start thinking I mixed the IDT with the ODT..does anybody know about this more than me? Another question that is around my mind is since my final output would be H264, how should I work in ae?what is the correct worflow? can I do the grading in sRGB by setting the display color space in sRGB?becaus I know (correct me if I am wrong) that you cannot set sRGB in H264 beacuse it always get Rec709. I could switch the comp and display color space in Rec709 but my monitor would be always in sRGB... I have a mess in my mind
