After Effects

Is there a way to alter the After Effects interface colors? I am tired of trying to find the timeline scroll bar at the bottom. The Appearance section under the app Settings menu does nothing useful. Thanks.

Is there a way of running the Tools panel vertically (like in Photoshop, Ilustrator etc.)? 

I can't find light flex in my tools section in looks, anyone know where I can find it ?

Hi! Anyone knows how to IMPORT A FOLDER AS IMAGE SEQUENCE? or IMPORT MULTIPLE FOLDERS as DIFFERENT SEQUENCES? ________the idea is to skip the stage where you have to enter each folder and clic on the first file of a sequence on import. 

Hello everyone, I'm trying to render a project using the last version of aerender. When I open that project in After Effects, I get a warning saying that some fonts are missing, but it does not prevent AE from rendering the project (probably switching to a default font). Obviously I get the same warning in aerender, however it seems to wait around one minute before setting up the render queue and starting the rendering process in itself. For other warning messages (like missing effect plugin), it waits for about 20 seconds instead. This happens on every project that displays a warning at the opening, and aerender waits for about the same amount of time for a given warning message, no matter which project is rendered. Any idea what could cause this? Is there a way to launch an aerender command in a way that would disregard warnings? Thanks in advance for your help!

I've been background rendering in AE for many years by using the following script as a Mac droplet. I've noticed after the most recent AE update that these processes stay open after the render finishes now, and continue to gobble up RAM until I kill them in Activity Monitor.I don't really understand to code that well; I just update it every year as Adobe changes the application path. Are there any ways to retrieve dropdown menu options? For example, as a default,  AE adds ["Item 1", "Item 2", "Item 3"] as default options for the dropdown. I have imported into a current project an old project that had a fair bit of code, including quite a few Math.random() functions. This project worked fine at the time. After Effects is reporting all the uses of Math.Random() as scripting errors: "Error: Math.random is undefined"If I delete and re-type in the expression again exactly as it was, the error changes to: "Error: Math.random is not a function"It seems like the Math scripting module(?) is not loading properly - but functions like "Math.floor()" work fine.It is not complicated scripting. An example is (on a slider expression control):1+Math.floor(Math.random(2)); Can anyone help?

Don't know why this is happening but I have one comp that is not showing the green line for preview render - yet other comps do. Thoughts? And yes, SHOW CACHE INDICATORS is on.

When I parent a shape layer (or ofher types of media) to another shape layer child shape layer disapeares. When I unparent it it reappears. 

Hi all,i have a scene in c4d with camera target animation, but when i use cineware to extract camera in after effect, the solid that i marked in c4d with extra compotion tag doesn't match in after effect, it seems to have wrong positon. i have to post this on a different adobe ccount ecause signing into the one im having issues with throws error 403 so im using my schools enterprise license for all apps and ive been trying to sign into after effects but i keep getting error 400 and idk how to fix it it was working fine before

i hhave added a 3d object to after effect - beta and is not shhowing . I tried classic view, advanced and c4d, but nothhing is shhhowing and not giving me thhe option to chhoose mercury 3d view.

The buttons are also far removed from the Ae standard. Is it possible to easily match the style of the panel as I created it in ScriptUI?

I've got a composition with a few layers of precomps. I enabled Time Remapping on each and added this script:loopOut(loop="cycle",numKeyframes=0)Works great. I'd love to be able to limit the number of times the animation loops, though. Is that possible?Thanks much!

Is there a script or plugin that can allow me to bulk manage the material properties of all my layers in one shot? I have a precomp that is all vector, and in the main comp I have it Cont Raster... but lose the Material Options of that layer as it is a 3D comp. So that leaves me with having to adjust the layers in the precomp and there are many.

Hi! I just created a simple animation in After Effects with the Frame rate in the Preview Panel of 120. When I try to render it, I change the format from H254 to Quicktime but the video is still very slow after I play it with VLC. It has only 20 seconds, so I don't really know what is causing this. Does any know how to solve this?

I forced the length of the layer, and there was a stripe on the bottom of the layer as shown in the picture.Why is that...? Help me...!     

Hi, I have an animation I created on a 3840x64px composition. For some reason, the animation kept failing over and over again. I haven't been able to successfully export it yet, despite the fact that the same animation at other sizes is exporting just fine. So, as a test I created a completely blank composition with the dimensions of 3840x64px. I have an effect with slider and checkbox, the idea is to get current time variable and apply it to the slider when checkbox is switching (by keyframes or expressions), I was able to create this functionality using PF_ChangeFlag_CHANGED_VALUE, but it works only if I manually click checkbox, so the slider is not updating if checkbox is changing by keyframes. Is there a way to do it correctly?Thanks!
