frame 0frame 25I animated a cube in Cinema4D using the morph tag. The exported GLB file works perfectly when opening it in windows 3d viewer. In AE it’s possible to select the animation but nothing happens. That’s very disappointing. Any suggestions or ideas to fix it? Would appreciate it so much! Albert

Like in the title. All substance materials that are not used in any 3d meshes are removed from project panel during saving. If it’s intentional it should be a preference during saving? I’m pretty sure I’ll be making projects with a full folder of substance materials - a project material library of sorts - that I’ll want to be switching between while working. It will be impossible if every time I save the project. all unassigned materials disappear :/

The Advanced 3D Renderer is making slow but steady progress. However there are really two main areas I’d like to highlight here that severely limits artists to leverage having decent 3D renderer native in AE. HDRI WorkflowUsing an Environment Light with an HDRI assigned has limitations.You can’t rotate the environment inside the Environment Light You can't utilize the HDRI layer's effects to influence the Environment Light as it reads source only. You can precomp your HDRI and manipulate it before hand but now AE does not know that the data should be kept linear instead of the automatic gamma conversion for the purposes of the Environment Light. You can linearize the data manually, but now there is a new problem where if you want to use the same HDRI also as a backdrop, you cannot apply the gamma again because for Compositions, effects applied on it's layer in the maincomp DO get taken in to account for purposes of Environment Light where as the direct HDR file as a layer does not have

When I import a video, it becomes too wide. The scale is normal, but it looks like the video is too wide when it isn't.

Hello compositors and fans of transparent backgrounds! The After Effects team is excited to introduce a brand-new plug-in: a native Unmult effect. We know... it's about time. Starting in After Effects Beta version 26.0.08, you’ll find Unmult under the Effect > Keying menu or in the Effects & Presets panel > Keying category. How Does it Work? Unmult removes solid black or white backgrounds from a layer to restore the original transparency from when your footage was captured. For example, if you want to composite this fire element over a grill while people enjoy a barbecue in the background, Unmult converts the black areas to transparency and restores the original colors in semi-transparent regions. I want to snap the Z anchor point to the depth of the extrusion. That is, regardless of the depth of the 3D shape, the anchor point should always be in the center. I know this trick from another program. Is it possible to do this in AE?With expressions and snapping, theoretically this can be done with the /2 command. That is, the depth is divided by 2, and we always get the center. That is what I wanted to do, but I can't separate the Z Y X into separate options to snap to another control.Is there a solution? Hello,Earlier this week (Mon & Tues 19 & 20 Jan 2026) I was working on a project in PPro. Then I took a couple of days off. I'm not sure what version PPro that was, but today Ioaded up that project in PPro 26.1.1 Beta build 32. PPro immediately crashed, and I found the only way to load the project was to launch PPro, THEN open the project from the "recent projects" panel. Oh well, annoying but no big deal.The first thing I wanted to do was duplicate them main sequence and rewname the new one with a newer version number. Weirdly, the only way I could get PPro to accept the new sequence name (I'd changed a 4 to a 5) was to tab out; pressing Enter or Return just moved the text focus down to the next item in the Project Panel and the sequence name reverted back to the "4" version. Again, annoying. I then loaded up the corresponding AE project, and created a comp, added some text, and found a weird thing: If I try to edit the tracking of the text, the text layer (as in its Tran
Please revert the imo completely unnecessary compression of the Composition Timeline context menu. This trend was set in Premiere's rightclick menu with heavy backlash for sensible reasons. Now looking at the AE beta, the same practices are layed out in the timeline menu where Close Other Timeline Panels/ Panels in Group has been moved to a sub-menu along with other options. This functionality is one that I use incredibly frequently to keep my open comp windows organized but now I have to navigate to a second area with the mouse after the initial location. To make things worse, I cannot even train myself to use a keyboard shortcut instead because there is no entry for it. It's implementation also contraditcs non-timeline panels where the Close Other Panels in Group option remains on the main menu level. There is also a rediculous amount of space left vs display resolution in this menu compared to the previously heavily compressed right-cli
Hi! Lately, when running After Effects Beta, I've been getting the following notification, even though no newer update is available. LittleGreenDog_0-1766961542442.png I tried emptying the AdobeTemp cache, but I'm still getting this notification.This started with the most recent update (26.1.1 build 3, Windows). Is anyone else seeing the notification? Is there a way to make it stop until an actual update is available? Thanks in advance for any helpful info.
So Canon C50 is fairly new camera which has been around for over four months already and despite Adobe claims to have its raw codec to be supported on GPU lately the image made from either Full Frame 3:2 7K Canon Raw Light Codec or standart Full Frame 16:9 7K appears to be complitely broken as In After Effects so in Premiere EugeneMogrts_0-1768831829724.pngEugeneMogrts_1-1768831866773.png
I've been professionally using Adobe products for over 30 years, and in that time, have edited many thousands of splines/curves/paths - whether that's in Ai, AE, PS or any other Adobe product. I have NEVER in all those years, ever wanted to edit a spline by dragging the spline itself, which ALWAYS produces wildly unpredictable results. On EVERY one of those thousands of splines I've edited, I've always used the Bezier handles/points. Every time. I have, on occasion, accidentally dragged the spline itself, right next to a handle, only to produce a ridiculous and unwanted result, closely followed by an "undo" of course. Am I alone in finding the abillity to edit a spline/path/curve by dragging the spline itself an annoyance, or does anyone out there actually ever do this - other than by accident? I propose that the ability to drag-edit a spline be restricted to ONLY its points/handles, and the annoying "drag the spline to create some weird, unwanted rubbish" be disabled. Maybe we co
Trying to export a text sequence in the latest beta, the 3D Camera tracker camera just gets ignored and won’t set itself to default. I have been editing with the camera selected on the popup view, but it’s a complete failure on Premiere Pro Dynamic Link and on an export.
The window layout is saved correctly, but their sizes keep resetting. Even after adjusting and saving, in the next project these windows will be stretched incorrectly, not the way I saved them.Nothing changes in the system. The screen resolution and project/composition are the same as when I saved the workspace. The tiny window with the "Align" function takes up a lot of space, it is illogical. Fixed, saved. Next time the same problem.
