I'm planning to get a surface pro in the future so I can work on cartoons during freetime in school, does the pen and pen preasure on the surface pro work with flash cs3 or even cs4?

Hello i got a question and really need help with it. It's important and i need the animation done soon.So how can i make a object stay after moving it. What i mean by it is. I have 2 frames for example and a head. I move the head a bit infront because i want to make a walking animation and everything is okay. But when i click F7 and go to the next frame the head is back on it's first position where it was on frame 1. And so on. Everytime i go to next frame the head goes back to the position where it was on frame 1. That causes the animation to not look smooth

Hi there, I have done a small animation in animate and I want to be able to load to a TV screen and loop constantly. I have created the whole scene in a movie clip so that hopefully the loop works and that seems to be working but I need the exported movie to autoplay an not rely on someone pressing the play button or clicking anything.'I export for Video/Media, let encoder do its thing, and then test it in quicktime. Can someone help me with these settings please so that it will just start playing.ThanksTony 

Hi all,I'm trying to help someone figure something out for a project they're working on. They have a series of movieclips which they'll make invisible with the classic "this.movieclipname.visible=false" code.  They have a button that's intended to reveal one movieclip at a time.  Is it possible to set it so that the order in which the movieclips are revealed is totally randomized?  So if someone was to play this in a browser several times they'd be seeing the movieclips in different orders as they click through each time?Hope I'm explaining that clearly enough...ThanksD

I'm trying to export a png sequence from a graphic, as I do all the time. For some reason, when I try to export, the options are 4x4 pixels, 1 dpi. Adjusting these does nothing towards resolving the issue and still produces blank pngs. Any advice?

Whaaaat?  Is this possible now? No, of course it's not.  This is just a short post to point out one of a THOUSAND things that Adobe has woefully neglected to do in its decades-long course of software production.  Be ashamed, Adobe.  I don't think I speak for myself entirely when I say that your customers absolutely LOATHE you.  We pay you our monthly pittance because we have no choice.  And you treat us with contempt because we have no alternative.  I don't expect anything to change.  I don't expect anyone of real significance in your company to read this or do anything about it.  I'm just voicing my anger in the most futile way.  Have a great day, everybody!  But don't forget that Adobe doesn't love you.  It hasn't for a long long time.

If Flash was so dangerous, why did we move to HTML5 which uses 3rd party javascript libraries, instead of just removing the vulnerable or dangerous functionality? Even today Flash is still more superior than HTML5. There are things that you just can not do in HTML5 nor does it offer the following benefits...Small compact file.Easy to upload and distribute.Create stand-alone projectors for app development.Much easier to create screen-savers in multiple ways, specially resolution wise.Was the biggest development for online games.Creative web design was at its peak. Now everyone just uses Wordpress.HTML5 is no more secure than Flash and is just flat out boring. Bring back Flash!

I have an issue when publishing my movie in virtual mode. IT TAKES FOREVER!! By attaching this code can anyone see why this movie takes such a long time to load??? The total size is 30k and loads external swf's but it takes a while to load those other smaller swfs' any ideas?

Hello, I'm new to Animate. I've created this simple face with simple blink and lip sync. Everything works well I am inside the 'face' symbol. But when I go to the main timeline, the audio doesn't work. Also, I can see some lip sync issues If I copy and paste the same sound on the main scene in a new layer. What am I doing wrong? While uploading the project file here I'm getting an error, "The attachment's new.fla content type (application/octet-stream) does not match its file extension and has been removed." Please find my project file from this google drive link:https://drive.google.com/file/d/1sInwuvHrix1QXfmQ2WR9vVmoMCcWayli/view?usp=sharing Thank You!

I'm creating a looping HTML5 banner advert that loops and has several event listeners attached to buttons to fire links to different web pages. When the artwork loops however, it's duplicating the event listeners so when I click a link it opens the url multiple times depending on the number of loops. 3 loops = 3 URLs opened. 10 loops = 10 new tabs..  How can I either force a singular link click or remove all event listeners before it loops?  HELP! 

Background: I'm setting up a new iMac and installing all of the Creative Cloud apps that I typically use. All of the apps downloaded and installed perfectly...that is, until I got to An. It sat at 89% for about two hours and finally when I got fed up, I clicked the "Cancel" button and now that is sitting there with "canceling"...now for FOUR hours. I tried dragging the app icon in the trash thinking it would finally stop running (caneling) but no. So I dragged it back to where it was with the others. How can I get this to stop because it's preventing me from downloading other apps; they just say "waiting." Can someone help, please?

i've just done my file for 5min animatics.also, i made 3backup files during woking.i have to render last file but it is not opend. my 3backup files also are not opend. if i try to open my file and just trun off Animate program itself. what happend th those file?i have only a file that i worked yesterday. please help me... my today's gone!!!!ㅠ.ㅠ 

Hi everyone, I'm trying to animate a photoshop file with a lot of quite intricate layers. When I import the file, the whole composition looks fine, but when I try to move the layers seperately, they look sort of unclean and smashed together - does anybody know what that's about? Is it because there are too many layers?I've attached some images of what the layers should look like and what they look like once they've been imported to the stage.Thank you so much in advance!

Just a question to the developers...why are the dialogue buttons in Animate backwards. The confirmation or action button is always at the top or the far right of the dialogue box in all of Adobe's other programs, and most other programs out there. Why is Animate different? I would love to see this fixed.  

To give some context. When using the old flash environment it was possible to have several .fla files and a central library.fla with all your component in it. When you would change a component in the library.fla and saved it, it could automatically make it so this change was also seen of every page that depended on it. So what I'm trying to figure out if there is a way to do this is animate so that we can have a singular library file with the whole lib object in it so that when the canvas is created all the components come from this file so that it's a lot easier to update larger collections of pages without having to publish every single page again and again. And instead only having to replace the old library.fla or in this case probably library.html. In theory this should be possible but I have not found if it's a feature of the compiler or not.

Hi all,I'm trying to export a project through File -> Export -> Export Video, and want to convert it in Media Encoder after. I've exported this way loads of times before with no issue, but now after the bar to 'export SWF movie' is full, nothing happens! Usually there is another bar to fill (I think this is to do with Flash content?) and then Media Encoder opens automatically.Now, after it has exported as an SWF movie, nothing else appears and there is nothing in the folder I tried to export it to. It's as if it gets partway through and quits.I've updated Animate to the latest version.Can anyone help?

Hi there, I'm new to Animate and am having trouble resizing and repositioning objects in a streamline way.I'm used to After Effects where I can resize something at the beginning of the timeline and it not set keyframes, and it adjust for the entire timeline. In Animate it seems I have to resize at each keyframe, like the size and position are set at each frame. For example, I started with a 1080x1080 and now I need a 1080x1920 and have to move and resize fading rectangles and revealing text. When I resize and move the squares at the first keyframe, it does not update for the remaining keyframes, making me need to drag and resize for each keyframe for each square. Am I missing a way to not have the size and position set in the keyframe so I can easily move and resize for ads in different sizes?   I attached the original ad and then screenshot of the working space in the new in-progress bigger ad.

[Moderator moved from Download & Install to Animate.]   I have some director application that we started using in an exhibition in 2008.  I need to be able to make small alterations for screen aspect ratio and PC change.  I have a trial director 12 but it keeps crashing.  Any suggestions please?

Bonjour, Je dois faire une animation pour un examen mais je ne peux plus parenter mes éléments. Quand je le fais, l'élément enfant disparaît ou se décale sans possibilité de le replacer correctement. Je ne sais pas pourquoi. Quelqu'un pourrait m'aider svp ? J'essaie tout simplement de relier les différentes parties des membres de mon personnage. Je suis sur un macbookair sous la maj Monterey et j'ai la derniere version du logiciel animate. i cannot open my file but after getting help from community ( renaming the file to rar then repaire then remaing again) and that works but,after renaming the file from rar to fla my movieclips are gone i cannot access them anymore it only shows a white dot where my movievlip was, when i double click on it nothing happens.
