Animate

Hi all, I've tried to add a chart using Chart.JS in my HTML5 Canvas project. The chart does appear for 1-2 seconds but then disappears again. Animate 2021 does not recognize the original source files for my .an extension which I created in Adobe Edge Animate in 2013. I have dozens of backups. Tried several. I can't find info on that extension in this forum despite many searches. Appreciate your help. Thanks

I am making a custom HTML publishing template. I'm using the Include panel to add 2 js libraires via URL. When I use the $ANIMATE_CC_SCRIPTS variable, they load in this order:<script src="index.js?1630518024271"></script> <script type='text/javascript' src='https://s0.2mdn.net/ads/studio/cached_libs/createjs_2019.11.15_min.js'></script> <script type='text/javascript' src='https://s0.2mdn.net/ads/studio/cached_libs/gsap_3.5.1_min.js'></script> How can I make it so that index.js loads last? Rearranging the order of in the scripts in the Include panel has no effect. Hi! I am publishing an animation to be imported into XCode and used on all iPhone devices. Unfortunately when I run it on iPhone devices to test, it has a big white area at the bottom. I have tried changing the height, setting the background color to something other than white (doesnt work stays white) and was wondering if any of you know how to fix this or have ideas on what is going on? Thank you!

Animatecc exported via AME my animation video in good color except for several contiguous images/shots with color that was opaque from the rest of the H264 video.  My Animate timeline images have  consistent color values; no opaque images.  I troubleshooted and discovered after several hours that I had tried to put 'video slugs' before those same shots by keyframing about twenty frames before each of my images/shots.  In those keyframes I selected the rectangle tool and a black color and created a black canvas for the sets of frames.  Thinking there was a connection with my problem, I went back to my animation in the timeline and removed them.  I exported my animation again via AME and the result was an H264 video with consistent color throughout that matched my timeline animation.  What's going on?

Hey, I was wondering if theres a way to export an animation as a PNG sequence while keeping the camera movemtn ive put in. Normally i would add everything to a symbol and do it that way but when you do that you lose the camera. I was wondering if theres a way around this where i can just export the stage as a PNG Sequence Thanks

Animate cc installed in my windows 7 pc and it was working fine until few weeks back. Now it can't access the Adobe license server. I want to know whether Adobe has stopped support for windows 7

I've exported my animation, which has a total of 14 scenes and a few button sequences. I exported it as a SWF movie, however, when I open the file and watch it, I keeps pausing/freezing at the same spot in the animation sequence.  I've checked and their is no 'stop();' command there - it is in the middle of the animation btw. I'm not sure what I should do? I'm not sure if it is a file or computer issue.  Even when I am in Adobe Animate and I press 'test movie', I will freeze/pause in the same spot halfway through one of the scenes.

I have 2 layers in this frame by frame animation but it onion skins only one of the layer. How do I revert this? Also, how do I do it again?It only onion skins the layer with white dots (idk why it has white dots either).

After the latest update 21.0.8, my keyboard shortcuts don't work when focus is on the code editor panel. Anyone know of a fix for this?

I need to add some animation over some video footage. Back in the Flash days one could import the video, add a layer, animate, and then export.Now, with Animate, I'm knocking against a labyrinth of dead ends. I am presented with three options:1) Load external video with playback component - not good for my purpose, as the video doesn't move with the timeline2) Embed FLV in SWF and play in timeline - I have no idea what that means but it doesn't sound very straightforward video import. And besides, I have no way of producing an FLV video even if I wanted to, Adobe Media Encoder (which I though was the Swiss Army Knife of video formats) doesn't convert to FLV.3) Embed H264 in timeline - that would be perfect! Except... it won't export.So now I'm in a pickle.Yes, I know one possible answer: "Export your animated layer with alpha, import it into Premiere with the video footage, composite and export from there". Hello, I am seeking a way to move shape points with JSFL. I am somewhat new to JSFL and I'm confused about the different types of points. In the API documentation, I have seen these point methods: document.moveSelectedBezierPointsBy(), getCubicSegmentPoints, and vertex.setLocation(). I don't understand which I should use to move. Here is an example of a shape I'd like to modify. It has three Bezier points.If I use document.moveSelectedBezierPointsBy() it works as expected, however, for my script I need to be able to automate this for each layer and frame, so I would need to use JSFL to select Bezier Points, and I have not found a method in the API for doing this.  As I can select an element with element.selected, I thought I could change the shape using the vertices of the selected element. With this code, it returns an array of 12 vertices, which is different than the length of the Bezier points (3).var verts = an.getDocumentDOM().getTimeline().layer

So when i export as video, it saves it but its not a video. and when i try to insert it into media encoder, it doesnt let me put it in

Everytime I try to erase, it erases but the line I erased just connects again. And the brush everytime I draw on another line with the brush it just erases a little bit. Pls helpThis is what happens after I erase the line: 

I wanted to continue on an animation that i was working on on Animate 2021. As it opened, the tab was at the bottom of the screen, and i could not be able to move it into my view.(it opened at the bottom of the screen as seen below)Everytime i clicked it, it just wouldnt budge. i tried closing it, but never did. I had to use Task Manager to close the software everytime. So i got the idea of opening it BEFORE whatever option that was preventing me from moving the tab around shows up. Animate then turns into.. This?(Animate is now in the top left corner now, and is basically useless) Does anyone have any solution to this?  

The photoshop brush has smoothing that lags behind the brush to kind of smooth it out. Does animate have anything similar?

Hey everyone, I need to find a way for my AIR App to discover the local IP Address(es) and store them in a variable to use later. I've found: public function get address():String or perhaps the NetworkInterface class using public function get addresses():Vector.<InterfaceAddress> The above are from Adobe AS3 Reference material.  As I'm still newer to AS3 I'm not sure how to implement this.  If someone can point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated!

Guys, I can't see "Snap to Objects button on Adobe Animate even though it has a tick. Can someone assist me? What should I do?  

Hello great minds,I'm updating an old actionscript project to html5 canvas.The project has a custom cursor with a button with an over state.Once there is a button on the stage, the updated code: stage.canvas.style.cursor = "none"; stops working and the arrow shows.I can remove the hand when the cursor is over the button by adding: this.button1.cursor = "none";But the arrow remains on the rest of the stage.If I use a movie clip instead of a button I still need: stage.enableMouseOver(10); for the mouse over statewhich brings the arrow back. Adding: this.stage.cursor = "none"; removes the arrow when hovering over the button but not on the rest of the stage.I'm wondering if there is a solution to this.To replicate the original flash I need a mouse over state on either a button or a movie clip.

Hi there. I'm a total n00b looking for some help. I used to make really simple dress up games in Flash 2017 in actionscript 3 .fla - > .swf for web. These games just had the clothes be draggable - not even snapping into place - and I had a back/forth button to change the hair, the doll's expression changed if you hovered over it. I want to make the same thing again but Flash is dead now. If I can still make it in actionscript then I know how to make it but not to export it as something functional ..but I think you can't? so it seems HTML5 is the thing I have to do now? I've been googling and reading and watching tutorials but I can't seem to figure it out..they all seem to be making something too different. I'm also confused as to what kind of file I should be trying to export the game as. Any code snippets/help/advice is so so appreciated. Thank you.

Greetings allJust to note I have been getting my bloodpressure up on a small issue Animate seems to have. Simple situation, I have a dot on a map I'm scaling up. I start off creating the dot at the size I want it to end at, make it a symbol, add keyframes and scale to 1x1 and add a classic tween. The strange thing is it seems to pop it's position incorrectly on the last keyframe.A bit of fiddling and I got to the point I copied the 1x1 small version back into the end frame and scaled it to the size it was ment to end at. Thats when I noticed the anchor point had moved. What a pain. So now I'm doing the same, note the size I want it to end and then shrink it to 1x1, keyframe and scale the end back up again. The "messed-up" anchor is now the same in the small and full versions. Fun, extra work and working backwards. I'm working in a Canvas and I did notice the x/y positions are fractions (I tested with whole numbers but it does the same). Version is 21.0.8. I've got an application that I'd like to have triggered / controlled over a LAN (always a private LAN and same network) that regardless of the DHCP details, clients discover the server and are able to communicate automatically without having to input relative IP's.  To add a wrinkle, there will be multiple client Socket objects on the network that need to discover the ServerSocket automatically.  I'm unsure if the classes I've chosen are appropriate for what I'm trying to do.  The Server will be passing keyCodes to the various clients simultaneously.  I thought it would make sense to have each remote node be a client instead of a server in this case? Thanks in advance for any advice you can lend!
