Animate

I need to use Animate and Character animate to help my son with a college project, studying at University of arts London. The latest version is not compatible with my Mac. I have ticked the show older versions box in preferences but they do not appear on the downloads page?! I can't afford to buy a new computer and I am paying a lot each month to use Adobe but can't access the software!

I'm fairly new to flash, I got the program from the school package and I'm currently making an animation for a school project, now about halfway through a 2 hour session of making my animation, blue outlined boxes started appearing around everything i drew (pencil drawings, boxes, circles, ect) and it's really frustrating to work with (for various reasons).how to I remove these blue boxes?

Adding some basic drag and drop to a project resulted in a blank movie when I tested it. So I created a new project with just one object (ball) and applied this drag and drop Actionscript to it. Still getting a empty canvas when I test it. Hi,  I'm using Animate to auto lip sync my characters, and it works great, but begins to lag after about 15 seconds.  My animations range between 2 and 5 minutes and the auto lip sync ends up being very far off the mark by the end.  Does anyone else have this issue or a solution to this problem?   Currently, I take the mouth into after effects and fix the lag manually but it would save lots of time if I could find a better solution. Thanks!

So I have the most up-to-date Adobe Animate 2021, Yesterday 3/26 I was working on a college project where I have to create a small animation with characters. My computer was glitching in a way where you saw lines coming across your screen sort of like when a tv doesnt have good signal. It didn't really come to mind when it was happen and I thought it was just my laptop but I think it is a glitch in the program. I shut down my computer and restarted it, It still was acting the same so I worked on my project anyways because it had to be done. I did a "save as" when I was done a put "Final_326.fla" as the title. Today 3/27 I startup my laptop and The file has disappeared. I have looked everywhere on my computer. I went into my "recents" on Adobe Animate and it says "The file does not exist or can't be found". I found recovery files from yesterdays date but its only in TextEdit with a bunch of symbols. The only screw up on my part was not putting it on a hard drive.... so now I'm stuck.&nb

When I try to export a GIF, it's saving as PDFs of the frames. I have exported GIFs before and have not run into this problem. Has anyone dealt with/solved this problem before?I'm working on a Macbook and have attached a screenshot of the export settings below.

I don't have the working file for my animation anymore. This may not be a problem with Adobe Animate. Maybe it was a mistake I made or it was a problem with my Mac. -It is in my "Recent projects" list in Animate, but once I clicked on it, a message told me it no longer exists-I have screenshots of the project and an exported gif of the project all in the folder I expected it to be in, but the working file is not there-I have used the search function to find it in my Mac, but there are no results-I have searched iCloud storage and have not found it there-I have searched the trash and have not found it there-I have searched ~/Library/[...]/Configurations and have not found it thereAny suggestions would be appreciated. I worked quite hard on it. 

The Pencil tool is completely absent in my version of Animate 2020. I'm working through the tutorials in the Animate 2020 release of Classroom in a Book. That's when I noticed the Pencil tool is missing ... in both ActionScript 3 and HTML5 Canvas. I assume it's supposed to be there. I saw some other postings here about the Pencil tool not working quite right, but mine is just not there. Is there anything I can do to get it back? Thanks.

In Edge you used to be able to define custom font families for fonts by writing them in a CSS sequence: Helvetica, Arial, Sans-Serif, etcIn animate CC 2017 I am looking for an option that lets me do this with dynamic text (for compliance reasons.) Right now if i wanted to use a font such as Helvetica Light, I could set it as dynamic (and the only font) but with no fallback any machine that does not have it seems to just default to the system font which is much bolder. The dropdown menu in the character panel only allows me to pick one font, so is there a way to set up a sequence for dynamic text within the interface? Webfont is not an option for me since some ad networks our client is running on cannot accept external font references.

Hi, I am tracing handwriting on after effects using the pen and stroke tools, i have traced all of my letters perfectly but the letter s keeps on picking up another bit of the s(see image) and i cannot seem to fix this. The only thing that makes it go is when the brush size is very small but i want a high brush size but it just wont trace round atll. Any tips please?? I have tried creating two separate masks but it just doesnt work at all for me

Hi, I need help in implementation of the clicktag on Animate as until recent i was working on Edge Animate which was great for HTML5 banner creation. I am trying to create a banner for DCM where i have a replay button on the top corner. So when i add the below code the HTML file to add the clicktag. I have not added any action code on my Animate file as i was reading there should not be any code on animate and only the below should be added to the HTML file. So after i do this - and test my banner on HTML5 validator - when i click the replay button it opens the URL and runs the banner on replay. I'm new to animate and made my first animation, but when I go to test the movie or to export it, the progress bar gets to 100 and then it crashes.  I tried each scene individually and they each work on their own, but not the entire movie.  Thanks for any help you can give!

Do you have a tutorial on how to work videos files in adobe animate, using air for android. i need to create a simple interactive with a video in loopmode, with a button that when touched sends you to a frame with another video. i insert the video as external video with playback component. video is h264 mp4. When i test the movie or publish , i get everything but no videos shows. any help would be appreciated. thanks

I've created 3 buttons and added text within each up layer.Unfortunately, now the text in every single button has a different size. Although 20px are selected in each case.I can't explain what I did wrong. Does anyone have a hint for me?

Hi all,  I aoplogize in advance for an eye roller of a n00b question, but here goes... Is there a simple way to share completed HTML5 projects that are exported from Aniamte? My team needs to share numerous, eight second HTML5 animated projects multiple times per week. Hoping to have the projects in a list format, with click to animate functionality. Is there a simple way to do this using Adobe apps? or adobe apps + google sites/drive? The different options feel overwhelming right now and I am reluctant to pull the trigger on a direction until I have gathered enough input from people in the know. To summarize - I am hoping to find a simple, web accessable holding area to dispay multiple HTML5 projects at once, which can be static until clicked on to show the animtation. Is there any way to export a video from adobe animate 2019 just as it looks when I play it in the file?Like exactly as it is, because eporting usually is messing up my tweening and some symbols.

I am using a Huion Kamvas GT 190 in Adobe Animate 2019 (this issue happens across versions so updating doesn't help) and when ever I use the Pencil or Pain Brush tools the line continues to draw until my pen has been lifted high enough it isn't tracked. I've seen guides for people with this same issue that are using Wacom tablets, but it usually won't translate over to Huion. So, if anyone knows how to fix this I'd really appreciate it.

I was trying to export a .swf image from Animate, and when I opened the .swf up again to test it in the same program, all of the achor handles had been disabled-- so all of my curves for the vector images were now sharp.info:- The initial art was made in a trial version of the current Illustrator CC, and was imported into the current trial version of Animate- There was no animation- just a still image- It seemed almost all of the anchors were affected, whether or not they were graphics, movie files, symbols, or broken down to the lowest tier where all the colors and shapes are combined to one layer- The .swf would not open in a previewer (SWF file player), I could only view it inside Animate. When I tried to open it in a previewer I only got a an old flash icon in the middle of the screen, with an rollover- it didn't do anything when I clicked on it though.- I was not given any options when I exported the .swf- I thought maybe I didn't have the .NET framework, but I doAny help with
