Animate

Hi Adobe gurus I am having a problem with Animate suddenly not exporting video/media I get this error message... "Adobe Media player failed to encode, plesae check the status in Adobe Media encoder queue for more details" But there's nothiong in the queue when I look I have tries deleting preference, uninstalling ans re installing both apps, but nothong works Any ideas? I haver a job i need to export as a movie and I am totally stuck! 

Hi guys, searched but haven't found a definitive answer to this. I have a rather long dialogue in my project. The movie starts when the user clicks the play button. The first dialog will not load properly but the rest seems to run Ok after that. I would be happy just to load that first dialogue clip if possible Before the button is pressed. Is this possible?

Hi All,I haven't been able to find anything on this, hopefully someone can help?When I create characters with discreet parts in order to animate them puppet style, I group the parts. So draw two eyes, group them, draw two ears, group them, align to head, group everything, etc. So I end up with a lot of groups, which is convenient for my workflow. I then save the characters in a 'Character File'.My issue is that when I come back to the file, grouped objects have 'drifted', sometimes more, sometimes less. It's not a huge deal to re-align them, but it is a pain in the butt to have to do this. Has anyone else had this experience? Any workarounds other than un-grouping everything every time?Please see the graphic, it explains what's happening a lot better 😉Thanks! 

Hi there, in JSFL I'm having issues after creating a symbol from an object on the stage. Prior to creating the symbol, I log out how many objects on the stage - which is 9. However, after creating the symbol the only item on the stage(according to the code) is the symbol I've just created. This has lead me to believe I need to use doc.exitEditMode(), or doc,.editScene() as it seems to be stuck within an editting mode for that symbol and doesn't have access to the other objects that are there, but neither of these commands seem to resolve the issue. Can anyone help out?ThanksAnt 

I created a snake and made its pupil a separate layer from it. I made that pupil a symbol. Then I used the Asset Warp Tool to give the snake its flexible body. But the pupil wasn't attached to it. I moved the snake and the pupil stayed where it was.Next I made its pupil part of the same layer as the snake. I was hoping to move the pupil as a graphic symbol. But once the Asset Warp Tool was applied, I couldn't do anything with the pupil.How do I keep the pupil attached to the snake while still giving it free ability to move?

im having issues reguarding the tint feature in adobe animate not showing up on my spritesheet previews, hopefully there is a workaround that i just dont know exitsts. i would hate to have to manually draw over each and every sprite to get the tint effect. ive already eported the spritesheets to see if it was a visual error but no, it still has no tint after exporting. any help with this would be much appreciated!

My exported Animate files (html/js/jpg) are loading fine in a browser on a Mac (where they were created). But zipping the files and sending to a PC to view, I'm getting the blank browser screen. The overlay link works, so it's loading(?). Console is throwing two errors:err_file_not_found (the image)AdobeAn is undefined (I have no idea what that means)I looked through the HTML and JS and I'm not seeing absolute paths. Any ideas? 

Hi everyone 🙂 I'm facing a problem since a while now, and I'd hoped someone here have the solution. The pencil in Animate isn't working like the Flash's one. By that, I mean that it's shifting and smoothing in a very different way, making drawing impossible. We tried a lot of different approaches: Checking the Windows Ink parameters, checking if the pencil is really in the Ink mode, scaling at 100%, display proprieties... nothing works. Weird thing though, it works well when drawing outside of symbols, but the moment you create a symbol and/or drawing inside, the shifting is huge. If anyone has a guess, a solution...  Thanks !

Dear Animate community, I'm working on an interactive infographic, HTML-5 Canvas. The assets/elements have been imported from Illustrator to my Animate stage and the size is 1280 (W) by 720 (H).Until now, each time I tested the animation in my Chrome browser, it worked perfectly fine. However, since I added the camera tool, since I need to pan and zoom between different shots, the browser tab opens but doesn't show anything; it's just blank, no animation or whatsoever.I reckon this has to do something with adding the camera tool in my Animate file... Is there anyone who could help me out with this one; is it something about the settings or is the camera tool even compatible with the browser?  Thanks in advance!KR,elvinius 

Hello Adobe People, I am a big fan of Animate. I just downloaded Version 2022 of Animate and I was shocked that on of the best Animation tools Layer Parenting in Animate does not work properly anymore. Somehow this function is nearly unusable in the 2022 Version. Please open the attached file in 2021 and then in 2022 and make it work again. I am really upset as I have to tell all my animation students not to upgrade. Please try to fix this error. Best whishes, Jens Schmidt

ok everyone ive got a real question to ask on something i wanted to use on animate for a long time. you see this video #1 on how i use classic tween the only tool ive ever knowned how to use to zoom in on a picture or to make it move anywhere but now do you see video #2 how tv gets their pictures to first move slowly and at the end it slowly stops there has got to be a tool better then classic tween that can make pictures go like video #2 instead of the frame fast moving and fast stopping

I am currently working on an animate project, but I have a problem that I am confused about. That is when testing swf or publishing apk, when pressing the next button, the animation does not continue. In fact, previously with the same code. It runs normally. What is the solution? I have tried moving the problematic frame to a new scene. But it did not work. Please help me!

Good morning. I'm starting my adventure with animation and chose Adobe Animate. Unfortunately, I have a problem and I don't know what I'm doing wrong from the very beginning, I can't get an answer to this problem anywhere.It's about errors while generating the movie. The drawn symbols disappear from it. Moving hands of the characters disappear in the animation during the preview and in the movie. Please help me, I don't know what I'm doing wrong and I'd like to avoid mistakes in the future. These symbols are drawn, it's not pngCheersGrzegorz Niewidok

Hi guys, I'm 13 years old, and new to adobe animate. I had a small issue with adobe animate, when I pressed "fit in window" it would fit in the whole screen as if the timeline isn't there. I managed to fix this by simply uninstalling animate, pressing "remove" when it asked me to remove preferences, and reinstalled it. Before I uninstalled it, I click File, Save As, I named my animation, and clicked save. Now I cannot find my file anywhere, and I'm worried I've lost my whole project. Can anyone help?

For the past week, I have been having issues when it comes to animating with no audio. I have made sure that the audio was the correct type, it is unmuted, as well as making sure that the sync is stream instead of event. However, I have no idea why I still don't have audio in the timeline section, and I can only hear the audio through the SFW movie. I really need help with this because I make videos for myself as well as my college.

This is driving me crazy, it's been weeks no answers. No info anywhere online. Is it impossible!?? How, oh how do u make OAM files responsive in Dreamweaver?? Put them in a fluid container but no option to make the OAM responsive like you can with a Jpeg. Nothing works. I am begging for help here!

my cursor freezes every three seconds and when drawing the line jumps and messes up my line work! every time it freezes. this freezeing is consistant Every 3 Seconds... this doesnt happen with photoshop, i dont have anything else running besides animate, i have my computer and animate fully updated so its not any of those. Whats Happening!! Pls

Hey guys As the video shows, break apart for some reason erases about 80% of the lines. its the same lines each time, but I don't know why. I didn't do anything different with those lines, and the rest of the animation has gone by without hitch. any help is duley appriciated!q

I have tried to search for whatever animation software I can use that is completely free and available to Chromebooks and similar to Adobe Animate. I've tried Pencil2d but for some reason it says it's not supported by ChromeOS. There are animation things that are free and available to Chromebooks but they don't let you hand-draw the stuff. Looked everywhere, couldn't find anything.

I'm trying to teach Adobe Animate to my students and we'll be using the Hands on tutorials. If they start it one day, save and close, then come back the next day - how do they bring up the tutorial steps with their file? Thank you!
