Hello everyone,I have a problem. While playback of my recording, about every 30/40 seconds master track mute for a second. I have a proper output in preferences. There are no changes on volume envelope. The bigest problem however is that seconds od silence are kept in exported file. Please help, I want to get rid of that issue. Exported session belowBest Regards
I'm running the latest version of Adobe Audition CC, on Windows 10, 32GB or RAM (which I never come close to using all of), on a machine with an Intel i7 7th generation 4.2Ghz processor. It runs smoothly for most operations I do. Even simple things in Audition are fine. But once I get a big session going with lots of life effects, things really grind to a halt. This is understandable, but I'm wondering if there's something I can to to alleviate the huge lag time I end up getting every time I hit play in a session. It becomes so laggy that it's incredibly frustrating to use. I mean, a 4 or 5 or 6 second delay, every time I want to hit play.I keep all my files on the SSD C: drive. Is that better than a secondary standard HDD?I avoid using effects like Full Reverb and Reverb and others like that coded red. I use almost no VST plugins. What can I do to speed things up? Is my CPU just too slow?Any advice welcome! And I'll answer any probing questions you may have. Thanks, AA community!
Hi, I host a podcast with a friend. Since we live in different cities, everyone sits in front of their own PC at home. Now it often happens during the recording that his or my voice is significantly (!) quieter than the other at the end... Is there the possibility in Audition to synchronize these two different loud speech sources so that the volume is the same ? Preferably in such a way that the quieter volume adapts to the louder. Best regards Stephan
Hi everyone, hope you are well.I'm using Adobe Auditions 2021 with a Presonus Faderport Classic surface controller. I've managed to get all the buttons working but I can't seem to get a footswitch to work as the record function. I'm using a Boss Fs-5U.I want to punch in and out while I'm playing acoustic, so I thought a footswitch to record would be best. Does anyone know why it won't work? Do I need to assign the footswitch to record in Adobe Auditions somehow? Any help would be very much appreciated as I'm starting to lose my mind. Thank you all.Kris
I have been having trouble with my audio hardware Setup settings, I was unable to record and now after I uninstalled ASIO and went back to the windows sound driver I am able to record voice overs in both multitrack and edit modes. THE Problem is I can not hear anything while in Multitrack but hear everything fine in edit mode WHAT AM I MISSING? Win 7 and Adobe Audition 3.0
I quite often use the Batch Process function to convert WAVs to MP3s for radio play.I want to export as 320 Kbps MP3s, but when I go through Export Settings > Change Format Settings to 320 Kbps and run the current batch, the Format Settings keeps defaulting back to 192 Kbps. So, in the following three steps:1. Drag & dropped WAV file into Batch Process window and clicked "Export Settings..."2. I've clicked the "Change..." button next to Format Settings and changed from 192 Kbps to 320 Kbps, then clicked "OK" and clicked the "Run" button in the Batch Process window. This exports the file as a 320 Kbps MP3 and closes the WAV file as wanted.3. I've now opened a new WAV file, dropped it into the Batch Process screen and clicked "Export Settings..." and you can see it's reverted back to 192 Kbps.Audition has remained open this whole time. This is quite annoying and I can't see anywhere else to define the settings as I want it. I'm sure it used to default to the most recently-used setti
Hi,When I batch procees spots from Wav to Mp3 or WAV to Mp2, the file name extension continues with the new file format. So I'll batch to a WAV format and the file will also end with WAV, or into MP3 or into Mp2. It will look like this:ABCDEFG-MVCR-3-15wav.wav How do I remove that double end naming of the file? I'm using Adobe Audition 2023 and I have the new update. The only step I have been able to remove the double name is to Bulk Rename it and remove the extra end name.
I have made a simple recording. In audition, the levels are reading high, near clipping infact. Yet the playback volume output is extremely low. Hardly audible. It is not the speaker setting as every other sound in other programs, apps, websites, are outputing normal volume. What is causing the low output in sound, even though the recording wavform is reading high?
Hello, I have been trying this for some time now and I just couldn't find out how to do it.I am working in multitrack view in Track 1. In Track 1 there is Clip A and Clip B with a 5 second silence between them.In Track 2 I have Clip C which is 20 seconds long and which I want to move now to Track 1 between A and B.If I just move C into the space between A and B it overlaps with A and B as its longer as the 5 second silence. Is there a way to easily drag and drop Clip C between A and B and Audition automatically makes the Space between A and B long enough for C to fit in?I found a way by inserting silence between the clips with the silence as long as the new clip, but I am sure there is a more convenient way.
Hi, I'm trying to use wireless headphones with Audition, but when they are connected, the only input source Audition will allow is my internal mac mic. Can someone help me figure out how to use my external pnp mic with wireless headphones? Thanks!

So I recently tried exporting a .flac file to .mp3 in Audition, and upon looking at the spectrogram of the converted file, there's this odd, unwanted cutoff at about ~16khz:This was weird, because when I exported the same file with the same exact settings in a different program (Audacity), there was not as much loss in high frequencies as when I used Audition. Here it is for reference:Can anyone please tell me why this happens, and how I can export my files in Audition to look more like the second one? For reference, both above files were exported at mp3 320kbps, 24-bit, 44100hz, so I do not think this is an issue with my export quality being too low, or something like that.Thank you for the responses in advance!
I use Audition and Premier pro. But I think I need to take things higher. Are there certification programs for these packages to stand me out in my career as a creative
Currently:At https://helpx.adobe.com/audition/using/automating-mixes-envelopes1.html the instructions to Create Track Envelopes show a track with the Track Automation Mode menu already visible. Problem happens when:But when I was trying to learn how to do this, my track did not have the menu visible. Missing info:It took me a while to figure out that I had to hover over the bottom of the track info until the cursor changed and I could drag the track info box down to expand it and display the hidden menu.Fix:Please update the documentation to explain this for people who run into a similar situation.

I have a copy of the old Library folder. From wherever they are, can I just drag and drop?
Would it be possible to add a master button for pre-rendering tracks? Quite often I will pre-render tracks when reviewing edits to reduce lag. However it can be fiddly when I want to turn off pre-rendering before tweaking an edit, and then turning each track on again one-by-one when I want to continue listening. A master switch could toggle the pre-render state for all selected tracks - similar to using the mute or solo buttons on bussed tracks. Many thanks, Will
So I've had Audition (23.1.0.75) on my 2019 macbook pro (2.6 GHz 6-Core Intel Core i7) for a few months now. In the last month it has started crashing frequently and at times autosave is not saving (set to every 3 mins) so I am left with a back up that was from 4 hours ago or something. It also runs quite slowly at times during playback - with cutting, fading, moving, etc. lagging as well as the levels meter at the bottom. I am dialogue editting so will have around three tracks of around 40 mins. I also mix etc. in Logic so will have ZERO pluggins in use in Audition. Closing other applications also has no effect and the laptop has plenty of storage space available. So seems like it wouldn't be a CPU thing? Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? Or experienced something similar?
I lost all of my multitrack files. I use Adobe Audition CC 2019 on Mac. Please help me locate them, recover them, and prevent this from happening again! Thank you!
Hi,I would like to be able to see the creation date of files i have opened in Audition. But in the menu 'Metadata > XMP > Basic' the field next to 'Creation Date' doesn't show anything, nor can i find this anywhere else.(The dates shown in the screendump - 16 March 2023...- are not the creation date, but the moment the file openend in Audition).Anyone knows how/where to find it?

I have many PCM files to check one by one, the original sample rate is 16000.But when I trying to open them in audittion, I need to choose the sample rate from defaulted 8000 to 16000 for every file...How can I change the default sample rate? Or can it save my latest choice?
Whenever I try to record on Adobe Audition (macOs Monterey 12.6, up to date with Adobe updates), the audio is very, very distorted - sounding clipped and robotic. I've attached a sample.I tried recording on other programs including Audacity and Garageband and the recording is completely fine. It's only happens on Audition.Do you know what's going on here and how I can fix this?
There's a bug in Premiere Pro which results in the hiss reduction or certain audio effects not being applied to the first 2-3 seconds of audio when exporting. After looking this up on the Adobe forums I found other people with the same issue, and they were advised to edit the audio in Audition and reimport into Premiere Pro. I am having the same problem in Audition however.I capture my noise profile, apply the adaptive noise reduction (or dehiss or whatever) and the audio sounds fine in the program. But when I export the first 2-3 seconds have the original hiss and you can then hear the effect kick in.Can anyone help?! I offered to start doing video for my work and this is driving me up the wall.
