separate different multi track projects into groups or folders to be more organized.
Automation data needs to be able to be copy/pasted to other tracks, or saved with the effects rack preset.
Auto-scroll should disable on click if user is trimming clips during playback. To speed up my edit, I trim clips whilst playing back, and it gets very frustrating when I'm fine-tuning the in/out points of a clip and the timeline scrolls/cuts away before I'm done. There should be an additional option in the auto-scroll settings to have auto-scroll activated initially and then disable once the user begins to make live edits, re-enabling on the next stop/start (or when the playhead is repositioned?)Alternatively, a push-to-disable keyboard shortcut for autoscrolling.
Audition, unfortunately, doesn't expose VST/VST3 parameters to the control surface plugin APIs nor to a universal MIDI learn capability. I'd like to recommend to expose this parameter to MIDI so that it would benefit users of every audio control surface (specifically looking at getting Monogram Controllers for Audition). If exposed to the control surface plugin API, it would benefit other similar devices to Monogram that use a native integration with Audition.
Allow Audition to be able to use VST instruments and midi.
Create a shortcut, similar to Premiere, where I can select the audio clip at the playhead. That way I can extract a clip without having to click on it.
I would LOVE to be able to link multi-track sessions to one another like pre-composing in AE. I find my multi track sessions get so busy so quickly as I use a lot of sound layers in my work and not having dynamic links to other multi tracks makes it really hard for me to have an efficient workflow.
Please add Copy and Paste for Keyframes wherever they are.
Hi there // the ability to import AAF is so necessary. I mean, this embedded AAF i just received opens in Davinci Resolve, why can't it be opened in Adobe's audio program? Seems pretty basic. Guess I'll move off Audition and into Resolve's Fairlight page.Enjoy my subscription money anyway, what is it now, $960AUS a year? ****, you guys are killin it!
Please add the ability to import and export AAFs, OMFs are being phased out and have limited functionality compared to AAFs. Having the ability to use both would be incredibly useful.
I would like to see Adobe Audition as a mobile app.
This will allow real time manual control over pitch correction using an automation lane as well as providing a reference track for easier tuning. The Manual Pitch Correction FX in Audition in the hands of a skilled operator can produce far superior results than 3rd party FX like AutoTune and Melodyne
In most NLEs timecode entry (e.g. to go to a time in the editor) does NOT require the colons entering, or all the numbers. Typically an entry of 12 would take you to the nearest HH:MM:SS:12Period acts as :00, so 12 period period would go to nearest HH:12:00:0010 period period 15 would go to 10:00:00:15Frames entered above the current frame rate are calculated so 35 would go to nearest HH:MM:01:10 in a 25fps project.+ and - allow relative movement.PPro is only recently getting to grips with this though.
Currently, you cannot record a macro and include the Diagnostics>Delete Silence action in it. Attempting to do so causes an error message to occur saying something akin to no recognizable actions were entered for the macro. In fact, it was confirmed by Adobe staff in 2014 that the macro doesn't recognize the Diagnostics panel. This works well with batch processing in Cool Edit Pro 2, and it's frustrating having to revert to legacy versions in order to get this to function. Please add it to Audition.
It's simple to use Diagnostics to identify all the silence in an audio file. I want to mute (not delete) all the silence.Oddly, the "Fix by: Deleting Silence" setting is documented to do just that (mute instead of delete), however the implementation doesn't mute. It deletes. You can get the exact behavior by choosing "Fix by: Shortening Silence" to 0ms. I recommend, fixing the documented feature, then renaming it to "Muting Silence" in the interface (so people can actually find it)Here's a screenshot of the feature as documented here... https://helpx.adobe.com/audition/using/diagnostics-effects-waveform-editor-only.html#delete_silence_and_mark_audio_optionsDocumentation says:
I couldn't believe it the first time I opened the new Adobe Audition interface. The gray on gray and tiny font is IMPOSSIBLE to read easily in any color "scheme". Please go back to the previous Adobe Audition interface, which was wonderful and much easier.
Two years since people started asking for this. Still nothing. I guess it's too much trouble. I'll stick with Pro Tools then.
Currently, the only way to save a file in waveform view is to expert it as a sounds file (e.g. .WAV or .MP3). However, this is a destructive process that forces you to lose your history and the effects/settings. I'd like to save the project I'm working on so I can return to it later and see the history, the effects used, and all the settings of a given single audio file.
I really want to be able to stretch a Track to a choosable bpm value and I want to see in Multitrack the bars highlightet, every 4 bars as a grid like in ableton.
When scrubbing through audio with the fast forward tool, you should have the option to make it not affect the pitch of the playback. Having everyone sound like chipmunks while I'm trying to listen through something quickly is super annoying.
Make Audition available for linux
I would like different kinds of markers which I can show or not. I'd like to be able mark the beginning and ends of tracks, separately from other markers which I might use to remind me of a change in a particular spot or section, or simply remember to come back to. Having different kinds of markers, perhaps even with different colors, would make navigation much easier.
If I'm listening to a session, and decide I want to change a track's volume from -23 to -26, typing that will cause the track to adjust to -2 for a moment while I'm typing. That's super annoying. I want the track volume to change only after I hit return.
I just discovered that when saving a file as MP3, the quality is very poor, even at 320kbps CBR.I simply noticed with my ears that it sounded muddy. When I checked the waveform it was confirmed. So see if this is the best MP3 has to offer, I did a similar export (320Kbps CBR) using Izotope RX6.And the export from RX6 sounded much better and punchier, with a similar file size. This too can be confirmed in the attached screenshot. Please improve.. So many MP3's, unnecessarily sounding bad... 😞I won't be using it anymore, but many people rely on audition.Win10, CC2018 11.1.1.3
We get a lot of karaoke singers in the studio and this would be a great boon.Something similar could be used for dialogue overdubs by displaying text on a separate screen as the timeline progresses
