Two years since people started asking for this. Still nothing. I guess it's too much trouble. I'll stick with Pro Tools then.
Currently, the only way to save a file in waveform view is to expert it as a sounds file (e.g. .WAV or .MP3). However, this is a destructive process that forces you to lose your history and the effects/settings. I'd like to save the project I'm working on so I can return to it later and see the history, the effects used, and all the settings of a given single audio file.
I really want to be able to stretch a Track to a choosable bpm value and I want to see in Multitrack the bars highlightet, every 4 bars as a grid like in ableton.
When scrubbing through audio with the fast forward tool, you should have the option to make it not affect the pitch of the playback. Having everyone sound like chipmunks while I'm trying to listen through something quickly is super annoying.
Make Audition available for linux
I would like different kinds of markers which I can show or not. I'd like to be able mark the beginning and ends of tracks, separately from other markers which I might use to remind me of a change in a particular spot or section, or simply remember to come back to. Having different kinds of markers, perhaps even with different colors, would make navigation much easier.
If I'm listening to a session, and decide I want to change a track's volume from -23 to -26, typing that will cause the track to adjust to -2 for a moment while I'm typing. That's super annoying. I want the track volume to change only after I hit return.
I just discovered that when saving a file as MP3, the quality is very poor, even at 320kbps CBR.I simply noticed with my ears that it sounded muddy. When I checked the waveform it was confirmed. So see if this is the best MP3 has to offer, I did a similar export (320Kbps CBR) using Izotope RX6.And the export from RX6 sounded much better and punchier, with a similar file size. This too can be confirmed in the attached screenshot. Please improve.. So many MP3's, unnecessarily sounding bad... 😞I won't be using it anymore, but many people rely on audition.Win10, CC2018 11.1.1.3
We get a lot of karaoke singers in the studio and this would be a great boon.Something similar could be used for dialogue overdubs by displaying text on a separate screen as the timeline progresses
Add a "Bounce to Split Tracks" option, which could merge the "Bounce to new track" action, with "Extract channels to mono files" in one single step in the multitrack editor.I record video with 2 lavalier microphones on the left and right channel, and it would be a great way to save the extra steps when working on the sound mix in audition!

I would appriciate it very much, that the AA built in effects would have more visual feedback, for seeing what is going on, for example, the compressors with showing the gain reduction an meters etc like the famous purchase plugins and i would like them to have a graphic User Interface with knobs and stuff like that.
Bug: can't drag individual samples or right-click to enter value like in previous versions.
Audition 2018 crashes all the time when using izotope VT plugins
Audition should have advanced oscillators for better synthetic sound effects creations.
Hi, I am making a mix for my friend using FLAC files that sound perfect in my file explorer - we finished the mix and exported it and the quality was.... well terrible. At first I thought it was because we messed with stretching and levels so to test this out I used a plain FLAC of a song I know well into audition completely unedited and without any input from me audition COMPLETELY flattened the song, seeming converting it to mono and removing an extremely noticeable quality when listening on headphones. It muddies the song and completely disregards its use of left and right channels despite me doing nothing but load it onto 24-track mixdown. Can someone please tell me how to undo this? Is there a hidden setting I'm missing or will Audition natively crunch music down to be flatter and less nuanced?
Hello, I'm in a position where I can't re-record this again as it was over 2 hours of audio voice-over. To start, I take a medication that gives me a dry mouth, so de-clicker is my savior most of the time, however, I'm noticing when I'm working with the file in post, it creates a lot of crunching/static sounds where it cleaned up mouth clicks. It's not as bad as the mouth clicks, but it's irritating to hear when I'm working with the file. I run the de-clicker through the diagnostics panel in the waveform editor, usually using the heavy option. When I play it back in the waveform editor, it sounds great! But after sending it to a multitrack, these issues appear. Sometimes it adds a hard click/clucking sound to the end of a hard "k" sound (similar to the sound the little girl in the movie Hereditary makes). Any advice would be appreciated! I'm recording at 48000mhz at 32-bits.
I'm upgrading to an M1 and i plan on using my old intel machine for podcasting. I looked to see if anybody asked this but couldn't find anything. I'm sure it's not impossible, but just need to know what i need to do so I can do that.
I like to have more stuff for the musician in Audition.like chord and tempo (BPM) recognition. These should be placed in a small text track on top of the multitrack screen. It would be really nice if these markers appear with the names of the chords in sync with the source track.
Hi, I've observed this strange behaviour that's causing me problems. If I apply Stereo Tool VST effect with a certain preset to a track directly (Effects/VST), I get a certain result (the expected one). When I apply the same VST effect with the same preset via Favorite or Batch process using that Favorite, I have a different result to the first 3/4 seconds of each song. The rest of the wave is identical.I tried different settings in Preferences/Effects to no avail. Is there a workaround or a solution to this problem?Audition 23.1.0.75 on Windows 11.Thank you.
Hello, audio that I recorded has come out hissy and the volume level goes up down as if the person gets near then far. Then only thing that had changed was the Sony camera had been switched from Dolby to Linear PCM. The bigger issue is can this audio be repaired in Audition? Thanks for any insight.
HiIt has already happened to me several times that after Merge clips in Multitrack mode randomly such problems occur:Before merging: After merging: In the sound it is a large high-frequency noise (here it even duplicated itself).Such situations occur randomly, in different projects, with different effects. I have not found common parts except that it is so short that it is difficult to catch after export. What could be the cause of this and how to avoid it?MacOS 12.6.3MBP M1 Max, 32 GB ramAudition: 23.2.0.68
Anybody suddenly have the ability to "insert silence" go away? I'm clicking on it and not getting the box to get the amount of silence I want to insert.
On version 23.2. I was able to record audio and edit, however when I went to save the file audition froze. It would not allow me to close the program or do anything, I had to restart my entire computer to force audition to close so I could try again. Exporting did the same thing. I did eventually move the track to a multitrack and was able to export it that way, however it still would not save the file. Any time I select "save" or "save as" the program would freeze. I have uninstalled and reinstalled audition several times, restarted my computer, updated media encoder. What else can I do to fix?
