Upon launching Audition 23.0 I was givin the option to cary over preferences from the previous version. I selected yes. When I opened Audition 23.0 my effects racks contained outdated plugin versions and my Audio Plugin Manager settings had changed. I tried reverting to 22.6, exporting my settings and then importing them to 23.0 but the problem persisted. I'll have to rebuild many effects racks unless there's something I'm missing?
Hi-I just installed an Apollo Twin interface, and now cannot get it to work with AA 2020. AA was working perfectly with my Audient Driver, so I know this is an issue with installing a new interface. Any help, greatly appreciated. Thanks! [To find a forum for your program please start at https://community.adobe.com/][Moving from generic Start/Help forum to the specific Program forum... Mod]
Good evening. How can I solve the latency problem? Thank you.
I currently record with a Focusrite Saffire 2i2 interface that allows for two mic inputs, with a USB-C output. Works like a charm with AA...but now I need a third mic. Uh oh. Unfortunately Focusrite's next step up, the 4i4, still only has only two mic channels (the added ones are INST only). So I am looking into binding two of the 2i2's together using the Mac OS Aggregate Device capability. See https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202000 for a succinct How-To from Apple. On the face of it, it sounds like exactly what I need: although each device is coming in through its own USB-C port, the CoreAudio subsystem should treat it as a single 4-input device, with AA none the wiser. But before I order a second unit, has anyone actually tried this? Caveats or warnings??

Hey, so recently I have been having some trouble when exporting tracks (radio promos) from Audition. I have had two separate problems that both involve the changing of sound from the preview to the exported track. My first issue is a multitrack session with EQ automation in it, it works and sounds great in the multitrack session, but when exported, the EQ automation is no longer on the track. How do I export a multitrack mixdown where tracks retain their automation? (for the record, there is other automation in this session which does work, such as effects rack mix.My second issue is a processed voice over that sounds perfect and crisp in the multitrack editor, but on export sounds odd and out of phase? I have tried reversing the phase, and it still sounds weird. I tried bouncing the track to another and the bounced track sounds out of phase as well. The same goes for if I mute everything and export it, still out of phase. This can't be problems with the software I am playing it back o
When i export my recorded and edited music in adobe audition, in multitrack mix down, the option "entire session" is gray. And cannot be selected. I cannot publish my work. Hope someone can help me. Asap. Thank you.
I have a few wave files I am editing, and two of them are about an hour long. I have been making a ton of edits, cuts, and ripple deletes for the first 40 minutes of so of the audio with no problems. Suddenly, every time I make any edits or cuts everything slows to a crawl in Audition for anywhere from 2 seconds to 10 seconds. I haven't run out of disk space on either my boot drive or the project drive, and both drives are modern PCIe SSDs. I have a ton of RAM left, CPU/GPU load do not appear to at issue. I have cleared the media cache, and I am stumped at this point. The only peculiarity that I can see (which I cannot verify wasn't occurring before), is that when I make any edits or changes to the clips in the multitrack, Audition starts writing a ton of disk I/O on the WAV files in question, and Audition doesn't pick back up until those writes slow down. What's crazy is that it's writing at 400-500MB/s, and the WAV files are only 700MB & 90
Hey! I have stereo mix enabled, selected and mapped, but wheen I record it doesn't capture any sound. Microphones work fine. I'm stumped! Any help? Screenshots of main interface and settings below
Hi, I was working on a multitrack podcast when I encountered a unique problem I haven't seen anyone have an issue with yet (or maybe I'm just bad at searching for discussions). My typical workflow is to go through each track and apply a suitable autogate before putting it through the delete silence program, saving me tons of time. However, as I was in the middle of one of my tracks, an error came up saying audition was finding it difficult to read or write from the drive I have for projects and that it's recommended I save and restart Audition. So I did that, I saved everything and restarted audition. When I came back though, I could see the waveforms for the track I was working on, I wasn't even able to apply the autogate before I had to restart, but now I can't hear it. Notice how in the image, all the tracks have audio except for the first one. I've had it where they all make audio and I just can't hear it, but I've never had it just straight up not make any audio, especially for a s
Audition 22.6.0.66 on Windows: I enjoy using Alt+Scroll to zoom in and out of the timeline. When zoomed in the playhead moves quickly so zoom out while listening. When I hear a problem, I want to quickly zoom in so I can find it while it's still in view on the timeline. Unfortunately, after I use Alt+Scroll to zoom in, I find that the window has been deselected and instead of pausing, spacebar pulls up a windows menu (restore, move, size, minimize, etc.). I have to remember to pause, select the window, then select the point where I think I saw the problem. Then zoom in. By this point I don't have an intuitive notion of the point in the timeline that I'm looking for. Is this just something that I need to practice or is there a better way? Should I change the hotkey to not use Alt+Scroll?
Hi Everyone, Can anyone help or explain this to me? When I see tutorials on using the Parametric EQ the display shows the frequency analasys in the background, but when I use it it does not.I've searched for a reason why or if there is a setting to turn this on, but I can't find anything. The seperate Frequency Analyser window works just fine. Thanks,Phil
Hello there! So i have a podcast and i normally record using Podbean to record and upload my podcast. Podbean only accepts M4a format but i recently started using audition to record my podcast audio and when i go to export it I'm not sure how to export it aim that M4a format or how to get it from audition into podbean so i can upload into my podcast. I really need help with figuring all this stuff out. This is my first time using audition and i really want to keep using it for my audio because i love it so much! Can someone please help me out?! Thank you!
Good morning everyone, I was wondering if it's possible to insert a crossfade of a default length on every cut in a mulit-track sequence? For context, my client likes to work in Descript, so I've been using the feature to chop out ums and ahs before exporting to Audition. This works fairly well but often requires inserting a cross fade on many hudreds of cuts to smooth it out. If there was a way to apply one to each cut, this would save a significant amount of time, though I'm not holding my breath. Many thanks in advance,Jack
I pressed something editing my timeline and now everything is greyed out. I've tried everything to get it back to ungrey and but can't seem to find the right key or combination. I've tried googling and searching these forums and nothing is coming up. Any ideas?
Hi, I have a strange problem that just started. I'm using the latest version of Audition that I just installed last week on my PC (Windows 11). When recording in Multitrack editor, everything works fine. However, when recording a single track using the Waveform view editor, time goes bonkers. It skips about .8s at a time, stalls, then skips, then stalls. In 10 seconds, the recording time only shows like 0:02:23. And even w/ no sounds, the levels are moving up and down (just to like -51dB). When I stop recording, it automatically gets selected (what I last recorded). If I switch to Multitrack, everything works fine. No skipping, etc. I tried reseting Audition using the "Shift Key" trick ... didn't help. Any clues on how to fix it? Thanks!
Auditon audio disabled when using Windows 11
I'm still using CS6...wondering if there is a way to choose MP3 as a default format instead of always defaulting to WAV? Any help is appreciated!
Hi all, I'm relatively new to Audition (a print journalist who has moved into radio work) and I'm cutting up some interviews for the sound designer on a radio documentary I'm working on. For some reason, Audition seems to keep saving new versions of a file as I'm working on it and making/saving changes. See pic attached. I did not create/name these files, just the original. Whether I'm saving or it's auto-saving, it creates a new file and adds the latest number at the end. Is there any way to stop this? I have updated to the lastest version. Perhaps there is a simple fix but I have not found it through searching the most obvious terms. Thanks, Lenny
I'm trying to deliver a master output to a digtial aggragrator. I need to export a 8 channel audio master. Per the QC dept. it should be 8 total tracks. A1 to A6 should be 5.1 and A7 and A8 should be stereo. I have output test clips, but the QCdept says they are only seen 6 tracks of audio. I was just reading I might need to create a new sequence with 8 tracks of audio. Six tracks being mono and Two tracks being stereo.Does this make senese to anyone? Any suggestions on how to setup this master output sequence? Testing all sorts of things at the moment. Thank you all in advance.
Hi everyone, sorry if this has been asked before but I can't find what I need. I have been asked by my work to make a Behringer X-Touch One work with either Premiere or Audition.I'm not that familiar with MIDI or setting up controllers but so far I have managed to get it to do basic things like play, pause and scrub in the timeline. What I am specifically trying to do is adjust audio levels in the timeline and have keyframes set as I go. Basically sit with my finger on the fader and move it up and down to adjust the volume and have those levels applied to the audio. Ending in result like shown in the picture I will attach.Does anyone have any advice? Thanks in advance Dale
I just started learning Adobe Audition can someone please explain to me what exactly is "normalize" ?
I am working with a stereo file in which the 2 channels are slightly out of phase. Thus, I need to move 1 of the channels to correct this. Do I need to do this in the multitrack editor? It seems as though I can create 2 stereo channels, each with only 1 of the 2 channels and then slide one in the multitrack editor and then mixdown the entire session. Is this the correct way to do this?
Can anyone tell me if it is possible to put more than one function on a single key? I had that and when I upgraded somehow it did not appear anymore. When I try to put more than one command on one key, it says it already has a function. Thanking you in advance, Kendal
OK, I am aware from reading through the posts that the spectral pitch display is considered "useless" for editing. I'm not here to debate that. My research area involves deep learning models for sounds - and while working on something else I noticed for a particular data set that when I displayed samples from different categories using the spectral pitch display there were striking differences. When I switched to the spectral frequency display the difference between categories remained but were far less pronounced. The short version is that I can use these difference to build more accurate deep learning models, IF I knew the specific algorithms used to produce the displays. I can't find that in the documentation which honestly surprised me. If anyone from Adobe happens to review these posts and can provide that information I would be very grateful. Thanks!
