Audition

This issue began last week after updating macOS to Monterey 12.3 (using Audition 22.2)At first upon opening multitrack sessions, the following error message appeared on a previously perfectly functional multitrack session: "Corrupt File: not a valid RIFF file. /Volumes/Video Storage 1/Shows/Sessions/220124/Imported Files/Theme_Intro Copy.wav Error: Corrupt File: not a valid RIFF file." The same message appeared for all other files in the session and would not load the files. Today I attempted to open another previously used session (used weekly for two years) and the following error message appeared: "/Volumes/Video Storage 1/Shows/Mortach/Show Elements/Grantham segment/Grantham segment/Imported Files/Mortach - Grantham Evergreen intro part 1.mp3 Error: Unable to initialize for decoding." In both instances, the "link media" button is greyed out and not available to re-link the files for some reason.  Additionally; the file locations have not moved.  Starti

Hello - I'm currently using Audition 23.0.0.54 on a Macbook Pro 2019 running Ventura 13.0.Every time I mix down a session or clip into folder and want to overwrite a previous file, I get this error message that says:The destination file "[insert folder name]" is currently opened for editing and cannot be overwritten.  Please choose a new file name. This happens with every folder I save a file into.  Once I choose a folder - I cannot overwrite a session within that folder. I don't want a new file name, I simply want to overwrite an older file.  Any thoughts are welcome.   Thank you! -G. 

In the spectral frequency display, the breaths don't really have any distinguishing characteristics.nThe Sound Remover doesn't seem to do anything. Is there any way to remove a olt of heavy breaths without going in and adjusting the volume on each one?

Hello Adobe Creatives, I have a question on the reason why Audition vs Premiere sound completely different?So this is the problem:Same clip was recorded with Sennheiser lav. After importing it in Audition I give it a better base; remove BG noise, etc. etc. (the usual enhancements that are required when recording outdoors).When imported in Premiere the sound is completely different. High frequencies are higher and the low frequencies are completely different.YES, all effects on the rack are applied;YES, exported in .WAV (uncompressed) 96000Hz, 32-bit;YES, my computer has all the settings to reproduce 96kHz;YES, speakers are 4+2+1 three speakers, 20-20000Hz frequency band;...NO, Premiere reproduces the same sound differently...NO, YouTube reproduces the same sound (no change)...Nope, I tried importing the whole movie in a new project, no improvement...HELP

Dears, Today I started woking on my session, but everytime I click in a clip os a track,  the Multitrack shifts to Waveform view.No matter what tool I'm using: razor blade, tine selection...all of them causes this.Any clue will be welcome!Thanks!

I record my podcast using Zencastr (free version) with someone who can't be in the same room as me. Zencastr spits out 4800k mp3 files (can only get wav if you pay), which I can bring into Audition as individual tracks to edit and mix. Somehow I turned on a filter deep in the bowels of Audition b/c now the imported tracks sound tinny and robotic when played in Audition but sound warm when I play them from the Finder (hover the file and click the play icon) or in the Music app. I choose "no template" when I start a new multi-track file and have tried creating the file with both 4800k and 4100k options.Any idea of what settings I may have triggered? Probably with a keyboard shortcut that I didn't intend. 

HI,  I've just downloaded Audition, and I'm trying to record audio from the computer (a Youtube live video).I've got these settings, I've tried changing to all the avialable input options and nothing is working . I just keep getting an error message that there is a "problem with audio". Any ideas? 

Hey there!I'm trying to record desktop audio into Audition for a Zoom meeting. I'm having trouble connecting to a Default Input in Audio Hardware. As you can see from the stills attached, there is no input detected. In the dropdown, I see my USB plug web cam and not wanting that because I am not speaking in the meeting and only picks up audio from that mic and not desktop. I can hear the desktop audio through my headphones just fine through the plug in jack directly in my desktop PC. Why isn't Audition reading my desktop audio as an input and output?  I have a Zoom H6 recorder. Would buying a 3.5 jack splitter and a 3.5 jack to male XLR do the trick? Thanks!

Adobe audition has cut the background music from radio jingles from my Tascam Mixcast. How do I fix this?

Hi, recently I downloaded audition ultimate version and when I record my voice then I play to listen I found that have like 3 to 5 seconds late, don't match with the music and I have to move the voice to the start point and not sound like I want. How I fix it?

I just bought a Mackie Onyx12 USB, loaded the driver (Mackie control panel). I'm not able to chose the ASIO driver. And it offers duplicate selection:  

Since I upgraded to 2022, I'm unable use my RX plugins after importing them into Adobe . Please see the picture as a reference.  /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST/Users/myusername/Library/Audio/Plug-ins/VST Under the Plug-in Manager, I noticed that the plug-in type is not a VST. Can anyone explain why it's showing this way? Just confused. Thank you. 

Hello everyone I've been using Izotope RX8 Elements for cleaning up audiobooks for a while now but suddenly it's stopped working. I get an error message on loading and the effects rack says 'missing'. If I try to re-add the plugin to a fresh session nothing happens - it just remains blank in the effect rack slot. I still have Izotope installed and it still runs from it's own menu and seems fine. How do I get it back into Audition? Thanks! Screenshot below:  P.S Windows 10 PC.

Hello,I have been using Adobe Audition for like 6 months, and I have finally had it, I need to address this issue out.I use enhancers in Audition to get better audio quality to my Shure SM7B mic, and is the sole reason I am using the software.(Adaptive Noise Reduction, Dynamics Processing, Multiband Compressor, Hard Limiter & FFT Filter)However, after about 2 hours in, every single time, the microphone starts to horrible crackling sound and the only way I can reset it to normal is go to Preferences  > Audio Hardware and jiggle between the Latency setting between 80 and 100.The Audio Interface I am using is Steinberg UR22C (USB 3.1).I have tried to do the following:- Change the USB 3.1 Cable to the Audio Interface - Added ferrite block at the end of the USB cable to prevent static noise.- Tried different Latency settings but it seems to only work properly between the numbers 80 and 100.I'd love to keep using Audition but this bottlenecks my usage and is downright frustr

When I bring a .wav edited in Audition into Premiere, the levels peak at just above -6db when I'm previewing in the Premiere source window, but when I add it to the timeline it peaks just between -6db and -12db (I know this is actually a better range, but I'm more concerned with the inconsistency). I read on this post that it's the Pan Law, and to change the panning mode in the multitrack settings to Lograithmic. I edited this file in the waveform editor, not multitrack, but I tried anyway with no results. I don't know much about audio, so any insight is greatly appreciated.  I recorded this audio on the Zoom F6 in 32-bit float with a Sennheiser ew G4 lav. In Audition I added Amplification, Noise Reduction, Single Band Compressor, and Parametric Equalizer. Here's some more info:

I have 12 tracks in a multitrack edit, and would love to find a shortcut that would let me select one track and mute all the others,  so I can quickly listen to that track on its own in the multitrack view instead of having to mute the other 11 one at a time.  Does such a thing exist?Thanks!  Audition 23.0.0.54Mac Studio M1 2022

Dears,I'm new to Audition.In Premiere, I'm very used to save a lot of sequences in my Projects. Each of those sequences has my "cuts"/ edits. Example: Sequence 1 :  "Cut1", Sequence 2: "Cut2"etc etc.Is there a way I can save multiples Multitracks inside the same Session ( Project) in Audition?Because I made a  Multitrack "Cut 1"....then, I had to make some changes, of course, ...and thats makes my "Cut 2"....The thing is that the only idead  I had, was to save a new "Session"......Now I have two "sessions/ projects" instead just one....Have I made myself clear?I would like to have just ONE Session! One project...and not one "Project/session" per each diferent cuts....Thanks a lot guys

I've Googled and searched this forum, and the few mentions of difficulties between Audition 22 and MacOS Monterey were made some time ago. Adobe's known issues and solutions page for Monterey does not mention Audition at all, so may I assume I can upgrade to Monterey safely? Many thanks!

Hey all, apologies for the dumb question, but I've run out of steam on this one.Here's what I'm doing.  I have a lot of little sound effects for a game, and some of them need to go another octave up, so I'm pitch shifting them and they sound great playing back.On export (Multitrack Mixdown -> Selected Clips), however, this happens.(Also on Mixdown Session to New File) An extra little stutter sneaks in.  I assume this can be traced back to some law of the universe that says raising the pitch requires human sacrifice, but I can not for the life of me resolve it.  Even bringing it back in and trying to cut it out, this stutter persists.I'm sure I'm just a dummy--could I beseech you kind audiophiles to help an old soul get past this trouble?Thanks a million!

Hi all, So, I have a set-up of two RODE Wireless Go receivers (each has two audio channels). They both plug into my Mac via USB. I have set them both up in an aggregate device and set that as the device in Audition: However, when I go into the Audio Channel Mapping, it refuses to acknowledge all 4 inputs: I could use some help. The only drive class I have access to is CoreAudio, as a Mac user. Any advice on how I could get Audition to recognize and record all 4 inputs at once.

I'm trying to lower the FFT size in the sound remover dialogue. The error message I'm getting tells me to do this, but I don't see an option for where to do this within the sound remover dialogue. What am I missing?
