Audition

Hey, recorded 8 audio tracks, just like that, no session created.Selected them all and accidentally clicked on "link media", by the time i hit on cancel, all my audio tracks just vanished, and no ctrl+z or anything seems to work.Went in the auto-saved folder and nothing appears either.In the temps folder i cannot open anything.The video shows what happened  Just lost a verry importatnt day of workdoes anyone know if i can get them back ?  plz help Thanks in advance

Hi all I'm new to this discussion group and have the following ask: I recently purchased a Blue Yeti Mic and plugged it in to my Mac Pro (Late 2013) running the lastest MacOS. When I open Audition CC, the mic disappears from both the Sound part of System Preferences and also Audio Midi Set Up. I then have to restart the base unit which did resolve it until I opened up Audition again which caused the same issue: no mic visible at all. I checked under the System Hardware report and the mic is there - you just cannot access it at all as it disappears. I have unistalled Audition CC and all seems to be working fine, even after multiple restarts. I do like working with Audition CC but until I can figure this out, I will not be reinstalling it. 

I have an old OLD Lenovo that I've been running Adobe Audition 3 on for years, but it's done. I need to buy a new desktop that'll run Adobe Audition 3. I guess my bugdet is around $1,000 (give or  take a few hundred,)I'm not a computer guy (announcer type) but I need a good rig. Hello,I am new to Adobe Audition 2022 and just started learning it.When I make a single-track or multi-track recording and then go to Save As to save it, I cannot find the .sesx file format in the dropdown menu to save the recording. How do I save it in the session format?Also, I wish to keep all the "Effects" settings that I have configured without applying it before saving, so that the original voice remains as it is and I also save the effects options and reconfigure it later.Is there any option that will allow me to keep all the settings and audio tracks in their original form while saving?Your help will be greatly appreciated.Many thanks!

I have installed Audition using the Creative Cloud, however, when I click open, Audition just wont open. I have Windows 10 PC

I need clarification about recording a call from Skype, especially about the settings. Am I able to record my guest's voice in Multitrack on the second track while mine is on the first track? How do I set the input for the second track? How do I set the Audio Hardware settings? Do I need to change the Input/Output settings on the MacBook Pro in the control panel? I have my MacBook Pro connected to a Mackie FX8v2. I have a splitter cable in channel 5/6 and connected to the MacBook Pro. The red plug is in Line in 5 (L) port and the black plug is in the Line in 6 (R) port. I am basing the setup on a YouTube video by Shannon Hernandez, called, 'How to Record Skype Calls for Podcast with Adobe Audition.' Thanks!

Hey folks, long time audition user since it was Cool Edit! I recently auto updated to 2022 and for some reason the noise reduction feature just stopped having any effect. Nothing looks like it changed and i'm using all the same settings I have for years but it seems to have no effect. Since the most recent update to Audition CC when I select multiple clips and drag them they do not stay lined up and this is very frustrating. For example, I have a podcast episode with two tracks, one for the host and one for the guest. If I want to delete a portion and then close the gap, when I select all the clips I want to move and then drag them, they do not all drag at the same rate. Formerly, I could drag and snap them to the previous clip and be confident that everything would stay in sync. Now, if I drag them one track may end up slightly out of sync unless I zoom in and look very carefully at what I'm doing. Is this a bug or has a new feature been implemented?

I have tried using a DeNoiser on the audio file to no avail, but my boss wants the clip filmed inside an airplane while in the air to be able to hear his un mic'ed voice. Maybe there are some magic settings to do in the DeNoiser, or maybe there is another tool I can try. Is it possible to remove the air noise without destroying the audio of the voice?  I was not on the video shoot, so I was not involved in the capturing of the audio. I was told reshooting the shoot is not possible and that I just need to fix it, so PLEASE help me if you can!

Hello, is it possible to change an effect over a specific duration? Just as you can control an effect in Premiere via keyframes? Thanks for help

Hi there, For some reason my multitrack edits are off by a half seconds when i save a session and go back to it a few days later. I usually export this session and all the edits are made correctly in this export. But in the session It looks like the edits are trying to join the wave files together and all my cuts are just off. The only thing i can think of is this has started happenning since I updated Adobe Audition to v22.  Is this a shortcut or save setting I'm doing wrong? I'm confused and also perplexed as to why this is happening and only with session files I leave and return to after a few days. I have reset Audition to it it's factory settings twice but this does not seem to fix the problem. Any help or advice much apprecated. Thank you! 🙂

Here I am providing the screenshot of the commands.These keyboard shortcut commands worked well in Windows 8.1. But recently I upgraded to windows 10 and  installed the same Adobe Audition 2015 cc which I was using before upgrade. Everything workes as usual but these commands shortcut: Ctrl + Alt + up arrow Ctrl + Alt + down arrow  These two keyboard shortcuts are not working.  First I thought Audition 2015 cc is not compatable with windows 10. So, I installed Adobe Audition 2019 CC but. It didn't work either. I use keyboard shortcuts to work effeciently but this thing is really becomming desappointing. Please help. 

Vidiot here, so be kind.... all relating to multitrack, rather than waveform, editor.    1.    Is there any way to have double click on a clip select that clip, rather than open it in waveform editor (or at least disable the default open in waveform editor)?   2.   Can Cmd+K (split clip at time selection) be made to work as the clip is playing back? (seems like I have to stop playback to have it work) I don't use Audition much (mostly as a conduit from PP to RX9) but I'm trying to demonstrate how much better the AU region select is for quickly levelling up multitrack sources.Ideally I want to do a region select and then adjust the gain within that region, without having to split the clip. But if I could just select region, Cmd+K to split then drag the clip gain down with the GUI (or via Shift-G) without stopping playback (i.e. I am adjusting the bits I just listened to AND scooting ahead of playback and adjusting based on waveforms, rat

Hello, I've just downloaded Adobe Audition CC. I've been used to working with Audition 1.5 (very old, I know!) With my previous Audition, I saved quite a few sessions, but I can't work out how to open the sessions in Audition CC. When I click on Multitrack, it just creates a new session. 

Can Adobe Audition Separate the Sound Effects from Music(, like with these Audio Clips that are attached to this Post)? If it can then how do I go about doing it? However, if it can't, then what programs can do the job of Separating the Sound Effects from Music?

Hi I have Adobe Audition CS6 on Windows 10. Two days ago my workspace changed - I guess there was some automatic update. After that I noticed that Fade In and Fade Out don't work anymore. I can't use them by shortcuts or by selecting from the menu Clip/Fade... neither. It's all gray out.  I work in Wavefrom. How to fix it? I will be thankful for your help.

Hi all.I'm just trying to record a favorite to do one thing: normalize to a certain level. But it's useless because it insists on using absolute start and end times by default.If I edit the favorite and select "relative" for the start and end of the actions, the values are percentages and aren't editable. The favorite doesn't seem to do anything.WTF?  I'm assuming that the un-editability of the start and end percentages is a defect, but before I file a bug report I wanted to check.The documentation says nothing about this, which is another defect.This is in Audition 11.1 on Mac OS. Thanks for any insight.

Greetings from the dinosaur age.  My trusty old audition 3.0 has played fine with windows 10 for several years but just started acting up this week.  First was a feedback loop I wasn't fully able to track down and close...and then the program began going immediately to a white field when opened and locking up the computer.  Re-installing from disc hasn't helped. Any ideas?  Thank you.

Hey yall, So I'm running on the most up to date version of  Audition as well as the drivers on my Mackie Big Knob Studio. Audition recognizes my interface as a monitoring system as it plays through my headphones and speakers just fine, but It doesn't recognize the mic connected to it. (SM7B > Fethead> Ch1(L) on Big Knob).  Everything is on, the tracks are armed, but nothing. When I go into the routing there is no mic there. Anyone else got this issue?
