Was using notch filter to remove some 200k in a 3-minute stereo wav. Decided to make no changes but now I have about a 5db bump of 200k in entire file. I've tried everything including undo, history, effects rack stuff, etc. Is this a known problem? Thanks,Ethan
At the top of the spectral display around 9k there is a noise/frequency(?) How do I isolate and get rid of that. The low level noise shown here I am able to remove through capture noise print then noise reduction. But I don't know how to get rid of the higher noise. When I run the noise reduction process, it only remains while my guest is speaking.
I was wondering if it's now time to update OSor should I wait a few more months.
I have a random thing that happens when I record VO. Sometimes there is a trailing sound after I stop talking. It seems to pop up at various times and I can find no connection to link the times together. I may go a whole session without it then have to pop up several times in another session. I am attaching a sound clip. can anyone tell me what is causing this and what I can do to avoid it?
Is there a way to stop auto-select when I am using punch and roll recording. Sometimes all I want to do is take a breath, but with the timeline selected I can't start back easily. I'd like to stop recording then start back with one simple click.
I have several WAV files that I converted from MP4 videos using Switch Sound File Converter. The problem is that when I try to open those WAV files in Audition I just get Audition's blank gray screen, no wave forms, no errors. I would think the problem is the WAV files themselves, however they open fine in other apps including Audacity and REAPER. I've tried re-saving (exporting) the WAVs from Audacity, but Audition still treats them as though there's no content; Audition just displays a gray screen. While I'm sure to figure out a workaround, I'm curious: What is it about these WAVs (example attached) that Audition is being intolerant of while other (far less expensive) apps have no issue with? Thanks.
I've created and exported 12 multitrack mixdowns, put them on a CD, and only one has random pops and crackles. These pops aren't heard in Audition or as an exported WAV on my computer, just when it's put to a disc. And to add more confusion, I'm pretty sure it sounded fine on a test CD a week ago (which I threw out a few days ago) Format: WAVE PCMSample Type: Source sample rate, Source channels, 16-bitNew Sample Type: 44100 Hz stereo, 16-bitFormat Settings: Wave uncompressed, 16-bit integer
Hello. I'll start off by saying I'm new to the world of audio engineering. I'm a voice actor and I use Adobe Audition to record voice tracks. I just bought a new Macbook Air with macOS Big Sur 11.2.3. I've tried to setup Audition to begin using the new Mac for work, but somehow even with matching settings to the old Mac (Macbook Air OS Cataline 10.15.7) ,Adobe Audition is showing two channels of audio as if recording in stereo. I want to record in mono but it's not letting me? I am confused. I'm attaching screenshots of the settings and audio waves from both the old and new Mac to see if anyone can help me figure out how to fix this issue and record the way I always have. Thanks!
(So far, I haven't found any problem with any other shortcut, hence the thread title.) I am quite used to the "Save as .." shortcut of Ctrl+Shift+S whilst working in both Waveform and Multitrack views. The File menu lists the shortcut as that combination of keys, as does the Keyboard Shortcuts list. Indeed clicking on Save as.. on the File menu produces the expected screen for entering the details of the file to be saved. However, in this latest release of AA, in both Waveform and Multitrack, using that key combination produces this screen, which I have never seen before and have absolutely no idea to what it applies: Anybody else seeing this, or is this something strange on my computer? If it is unique to me, any ideas on how to "correct" the problem? TIAJeff
Crunches, ringing, pre-echo, birdie sounds, drop-outs, rattling, warbling, metallic ringing, underwater feeling, weird sibilant swooshes, etc... Any tips? Thanks in advance PS Photoshop has AI options to fix JPEG artifacts ... is there an analogous feature in Audition, existing or planned?
I use Mp4 in Premiere Pro. - Taken with photo camera.I would like not to use an external mic for my video, and wonder. Is there a way I can take only the audion from the Premiere Pro file and improve that in Audio?
Hello, I've mixed up a bunch of songs and have them laid out one after the other. I'm trying to create an album. Some of the songs overlap. The the following song fades in while the current song fades out. Over all I'm trying to send this project off to a cd manufacturer to create a hundred cds. They want me to export the songs as individual .wav files. How do I retain the overlaps I've created while exporting the songs as individual .wav files? Thank you,Karl
My interface and levels all seem to be in order when I'm recording, and then on playback, I discover all these skips and what sound like bad edits. Any idea as to what's wrong? What do I need to do??
Does Audition compare to other DAWs like Pro-Tools? AND..... Does Audition support the use of 3rd party VST/AU instrument plug-ins such as Native Instruments Komplete VSTs? This is a deciding factor for my purchase of this program. Thanks,Dawn
Hi all, newbie question here that seems like such a no-brainer that it's absurd that I can't figure it out: How do I hear audio in my headphones while I am recording? I have a two-channel recording for a podcast conversation. I can capture sound independently from each mic but can only hear the recording if I stop and hit play. This makes no sense. It seems ludacrious that I wouldn't be able to hear while I'm recording. I am using a MacBook, with AT2020 mics into an M-Audio usb preamp. My headphones are plugged in to a Behringer Microamp which is then plugged in to the M-Audio headphone out. This is essentially what I do to record music via GarageBandon another Mac . So, what the heck am I doing wrong? thanks Neal
Hi,My effects rack has way too many presets I've saved over time. How and where do I go to remove some of these?Thank you in advance
Hello all,I have been running into this issue several times over the past few months. I work in a public setting running Adobe CC 15, an use Audition for our recording booth. I can't fully speak to replicating the issue as each user has a different work flow, but I can describe a common scenario where my issue is found.Often, when a user is attempting to save their final project file or export their finished file, the program will properly run through the prompts, but when it attempts to save/export it sits at 0%. Looking at the track/resource window, there are tracks that are sitting frozen at about 70% on a "saving metadata" process. These files are always tracks that have been deleted from the work space. Thus, by attempting to save the metadata to files, it is attempting to save it to something that no longer exists, that seems to be the reason that is hanging up. I attempt to force the task to end, but the command is ignored, and nothing changes. I can set up as many exports, save
In multitrack, I mix in stereo and then have to convert to mono. The stereo mixdown sounds perfect, but then when I convert it to mono the music bed is much lower in volume. Is there a way to convert to mono without sacrificing the music bed volume?
I recently discovered that I can add video and edit sounds over it. But when I go to export and save, it only gives me audio files to save as. How do I save the files as a video file?
I have created a fade by sliding one piece of audio into the next. It sounds lovely except for the fact that I now have a gap between my next 2 edits. There must be a shortcut that can allow me to slide one piece of audio into another and all the remaining edits shuffle along too, is there not? I have looked on all the usual places but couldn't really find the proper term so am struggling to find the solution.Thank you!
In older versions when I applied a fade the yellow arc would stay visible. Now the arc disappears once it is applied. Can I set it so it always stays visible?
I am trying to extend an Adobe Stock audio file to the entire video. When I try to Edit in Audition, it doesn't load the clip in Audition. Is it because I haven't licensed it? I am using a Macbook Pro 13" M1. I am not sure what to do?
Hello all. I am a parent of a 15 year old who is trying to basically emulate a radio station with his friends. They are trying to set their recording levels in Audition, as well hear themselves talk when recording into Audition. Is any of this possible? I've tried to help them to no avail.Recording levels- I told them to use the Windows Control Panel adjustment. To hear themselves while recording...no success.Anyone know? Thanks
Good afternoon, all! I recently recorded vocals for a small film using a Zoom H5 and a Senheisser MKE600.While recording, I heard music while monitoring the audio with headphones, but not when I removed my headphones. Is there a way to separate and remove this music from my audio without damaging the vocals I need? What could have caused my recorder to catch the music but without me actually hearing it without the recorder? I've included a take where you can hear the music right from the beginning.
