Audition

Hello,I'm recording my voice using Audition 2020 thru a Behringer U-Phoria CUM202HD mixer. (Reading the newspaper for blind listeners of WJCT public radio in Jacksonville.) The recordings last 58 minutes. About once every 5 or 6 recordings, at roughly 30 minutes in, the audio suddenly sounds "glitched". It is chopped and sounds like it is slightly sped up. Unfortunately, I don't notice this until I've stopped recording and can listen to the playback. This may not be an Adobe issue, as I have used Acid Pro 9, and gotten the same result. I have attached a sample. Grateful for any help/suggestions. Thanks.

I am trying to calculate relative loudness of different recordings. I would do this manually by scanning with an FFT and then some simple math to get the A weighted value of the scanned section. Though I am looking to see if Adobe Audition can do the math for me to save time.  

I opened two different projects today and both have the same problem which is all of my .wav files are gone.  The .pkf files remain but all of the .wav are gone.  I went to the source folder and in the folder all that is there is the .pkf files.  I don't remember the program crashing.  I typed in the name of the files into the search bar (2 of which have a fairly unique name rather than the automatice Track1_001 they were external files sent from the hall mics so they were titled 9.24.2020 von, these .wavs are also missing) and I cannot find these files on my computer anywhere.  They are offline in .sesx file.  Any idea where these could have gone and how I could retrieve them? My version is 13.0.10.32 and I am on a macbook pro.

Audition crashed on me several times today. The first three times, I was attempting to uncheck the 'Show marker lines...' option in my Preferences. Once I exited that window, each time it would show the hourglass next to my cursor, then the program would abruptly crash. The fourth time, I did not change the marker setting in Preferences, but simply opened the Preferences window and then closed it. Same result. No error message popped up before or during the crashes. Between some of these crashes, I restarted my computer, which did not help.The crash recovery system did not seem to work properly when I attempted to use it. It told me there were no file assets. Thankfully, I had just recently saved, so I haven't lost anything. I just closed out Audition's attempt at recovering data, reopened Audition, and went to File > Open Recent to reopen my project. When I open the aplication this error appear in a message. I´ve unistalling all Adobe aplications with Cleaner Tool and reinstalling them. When I select the file name to save a file, the font turns white for some reason and I can't read the name of the file anymore. Which makes it difficult to rename a file. This bug has been in Audition 2020 since the beginning and has not been solved yet. I'm still using Adobe CC 2019 because of this. Anyone has a solution?  Thanks!

Hi, I'm a bit confused as I realize that no matter what bit depth I choose for my Audition session, it always shows "32-bit Mixing" at the bottom next to the session sample rate. Should it not be showing 24-bit if I created a session at 24 bit depth?

1. Adobe Audition "R" for Arm Record is greyed out, and will not let me click it.   2. When playing back, I can see the audio is playing, but the audio is not heard through my speakers.

Is there a way to save all of the multitrack sessions and audio files open in Audition at one time, as a single overall project? Much the same way that you can open an After Effects project file, with multiple compostions and source files? Or a Premiere project file, with mutiple audio, videos, sequences, etc?

I am finishing off a podcast for Mix-down -- rad each indifidual track through Normalization and Match Loudness, and suddenly the main interview has this weird limiting effect -- like a drunken gardener went over it with shears and cut a not-so-level line across it.  What could have caused this?  mp3 file attached. Thanks! Using Audition CC2020 on an iMac running High Sierra 10.13.6

Hi everyone, I am working on editing a bunch of videos and for whatever reason, I can no longer "capture noise print." I wasn't having any trouble before and now it has seemed to just stop working. I have tried restarting the program, my laptop, and updating the software. I don't believe the clips I'm trying select are too long and I don't think I'm doing anything differently from before when it was working. If anyone could provide me with some guidance, that would be greatly appreciated!! I am pretty stuck and can't seems to find any solutions.  Thank you!

Where does Adobe offer a user manual for Audition CC? I did a search on the website and found nothing. I'm looking for a document – like the Reference Guide PDF that came with Audition CS6 – that lets me go directly to the topic I need.

In an effort to reduce clipping from overzealous vocals while recording vocal tracks, I've reduced the gain on my mic.  However, that means I cannot hear the vocals in my ears as the volume for the track I'm recording is much lower than the volume of the music backing track.  How can one increase the output volume of a single track while recording?  Using Mac OS if that makes a difference

This is my second time posting to the forum today so I hope I'm not overdoing it, but I just figured out my last problem only to run into another one that seems impossible to figure out. I'm trying to apply reverb using a VST2 plugin called BREVERB 2 to a bunch of files. It seems as though no matter how I approach it, the reverb will not apply to the file. I've tried:1. Inserting BREVERB 2 as an insert to the waveform and clicking "apply" on the Effects Rack.2. Going to "Effects > VST > BREVERB 2" and then applying it from there3. Putting the waveform into a Multitrack project, inserting BREVERB 2 onto the track, and then exporting that mulitrack session. Every single time the reverb loads and previews just fine, then when i try to export or apply the effect, the resulting waveform doesn't have the reverb on it. Any idea what's going on?

I have a bunch of sounds that I would like to apply a VST reverb to in batch which is totally possible, however the waveforms all cut off right at the end of the sound so there's no space for the reverb tail to trail off. I want to simply extend the duration of all of these waveforms so once I apply the reverb, it will have the appropriate amount of time it needs to hear the reverb tail without getting cut off and then i can add a simple fade to the waveform at the end to ensure any extra reverb is faded away completely. Bringing the sounds into multitrack is a whole extra step and will require me to add the reverb to all of the sounds and export them 1 by 1 instead of just dropping the reverb on all of them and exporting in batch. There's many other instances where this would have come in handy as well, but I simply can't figure out how to extend the duration. Also I've looked online and everyone says to drop it into multicam, but that would just take so much more time. Seems like a p

This is the second time this has happened. I'm working in Audition (on Windows 10), and all of a sudden this box appears asking me if I want to save changes to my clip before closing it. I never said I wanted to close it. But I play along and click on the "Cancel" button (screenshot attached). The box disappears for a split second and then immediately comes back. I can't make it go away. How can I fix this?

Hi all.I maybe looking for the impossible but I will share my problem with you. Before I start I shall add that I asked a similar question to this on here many months ago and somebody suggested I use Match Volume with 'ITU-R BS.1770-2 Loudness'. I tried this and the result was awful and I read this technique was for broadcast purposes? Anyway, this is my dilemma. I want to burn some rock/pop songs onto CDR and want the volumes to be the same throughout. I have used Nero which generally quite good using their 'normalise' feature. What I have found on numerous occasions is when using normalisation a quiet song (maybe with no drumming) the quieter sounds are boosted to sometimes distortion level. Is there a way around this even if every song has to be monitored individually? Many thanks in advance. Paul

I'm using a Soundcraft Notepad-12FX and have 4 Røde NTG2 microphones plugged in. I connect to my laptop through the USB connection from the mixer and I use Audition to record. However, I’m trying to isolate all 4 microphones in the recording (I create 4 separate tracks in the multitrack)- but it always ends up grouping 2 of the mics together. So, for instance, Mic 1 and Mic 2 will be isolated on Tracks 1 & 2 respectively, but Mics 3 & 4 will be together on tracks 3 & 4, even if I’ve selected just Input 3 or Input 4 on the respective track.I'm using a MacBook to record on and everything in the Audio MIDI Setup looks okay.The driver for the mixer is up to date, it’s the latest version of Audition, the mics are placed far enough apart.... I’m sure that I’m missing something obvious...

I have the cuurent version of Adobe Audition on Windows 10. Is there a way for Audtion to capture audio coming from the computer (someone talking on discord, a youtube video, etc)? An older version of AA used to be able to but i'm never been able to get it to work on my current computer.

Steve,Where can I find official instructions on how to remove Audition CS6 from one computer and install it on a new computer? I'm hoping the process is fairly painless. 🙂 Thanks.
