Hi, The technical requirements for my audio book were that they needed to be MP3 or FLAC formats, 192 kbps or higher, and 44.1 kHz. So, when I opened a file in Audition, I specified that it was 44.1 kHz and I saved them as FLAC files. But now I am being denied the ability to upload because they aren't 192 kbps. Please tell me there is an easy way to adjust this. Please. Thank you, Lara
I am trying to programmatically edit a spectrogram to remove certain occurrences of words or noise. Something similar to a spectral gating. Manually I can edit the section of the spectrogram using marquee selection tool and delete the highlighted section. Is there an API to achieve this?
This is NOT an issue with the audio. It is an issue with the interface/latency settings/resources. Does anyone have some suggested settings or a cache that can be manually cleared that might free up resources for Audition. Currently I've got most of the memory allocated for Audition's use and playback is fine unless you do something like move the mouse. Then it stutters and crackles until you stop. Even more confusing is that sometimes it does this, and other times it is fine!* *The latency issue also occurs in Ableton, but only if i'm pushing over 24 tracks, which is kinda to be expected. Occurs in Audition with more than 3 tracks. Machine specs:Intel Core i7-7500U @ 2.7GHz8GB of memory. Not EXTRA beefy, but should be enough to get the job done.
Load something into edit and then mix view, look at the Main Meter the 114dB range meteryou will see a difference of 3dB in levels. to check my claim create a Sine Wave in the Mix View Window at 440 hertz at -6dB it will load into an empty track, play back the file and check the meter, it will read at -9dB if you now double click on that file and send to the edit window and play it back it will indicate the correct level at -6db. and visually be at -6dB. Now mix down the file you have created in the multitrack Window, when checked it will be at -9dB. "Is this a fault or have Adobe created 3dB OF HEAD ROOM" I would have thought that both Edit and the Multtrack Window should be calibrated at the same level, could someone please pass this on to the right person please. I'm using Audition 2020 on a Mac. My Zoom H5 records in stereo, so when I import voice tracks for podcasts, I need to convert those to mono. Lately, converting results in silence. In the mastering workspace you can see a noise floor, but it's otherwise totally gone. I can split the channels into two tracks, but merging them (convert to mono) doesn't work. What gives? I've reformatted my SD card, no change. btw - I do not have spectral display open when this happens. I'm in the classic workspace.
Updated to 13.0.8.43 yesterday and now the curser is no longer advancing in a smooth motion. It is ticking ahead in one second increments. Audio playback is smooth but editing is a pain with this thing not operating properly.Thoughts?Thank you! Windows 10 ProIntel Core i7-9700K at 3.60 GHz64.0 GB Ram
Hello community, So here is a strange problem I have run into with Audition and I fail to understand... I've been using Audition for the last 4 years, excellent workflow.. Then just as I updated to the 2020 version really weird stuff happened. 1- The samller problem. When I save my session (working on a video) the video playback goes black, the track is there but I have to Link it again. Happens randomly ...2- The really NOT COOL problem: I use the same plugins, same settings, same audio interface... all same I used with the 2019 version. I mix my tracks, mainly music, sfx, dialogue, then bounce all. Surprise, the mixdown sounds COMPLETELY different, dull as if run through LPF, gain reduced (not the -3 db one), mids up, and not at all what it sounds in Audition. So, at the same time, if I play it in Audition, the mix is fine, then I play the exported file: the mix is messed up.I imported the SAME mixdown tracks to Audition many times to test and well, they eve
Hi all.I'm trying to match EQ between two tracks. I have them in a multitrack session, panned left & right. Yes, I can get rid of the panning manually while doing this, but I often (usually, I think) want to hear soloed tracks from both channels. Is there an option to do this that I'm missing? If not, I think this would be a useful feature.Thanks.
Greetings 🙂 Does anyone know of a solution for increasing the number of plugins visible in the effects rack in the "mixer" view? There's a TON of space dedicated to the faders which is nice but unnecessary for the work that I'm doing. I'd much rather have the option to see 6-8 plugins across all of the tracks instead of the 3 that are visible by default. TIA!

For some reason, Audition started skipping when I record. The recording is also scratchy. The software is up-to-date - I uninstalled and then reinstalled it. I ave no idea why this is happening or how to fix it. Help! This my hardware setup:
9 times out of 10 these days when I turn my computer on (Windows 10) and start Audition, it is very slow to perform several tasks, notably opening and closing files, cutting, copying, normalizing, and running effects racks. I can't seem to figure out why or how to get it running properly - it usually goes back to "normal" at some point, but often it takes a while (sometimes as much as a day or more). I've tried everything I can think of: closing and reopening the program, uninstalling & reinstalling it, putting the computer to sleep and then waking it up, restarting, not having any other apps or anything else open, etc. - but nothing seems to fix it. I don't think it's an issue with my computer because everything else works just fine - in fact in preparation for this post I tried it on another computer (my laptop, also Windows 10) with the same result: Audition performs abnormally slowly but everything else works just fine. As someone who spends several hours a day working wit
Hi, I can open and start a project, make all the edits and then once I close the programme and reopen it to start work on the project again, the beach ball arrives and I have to force quit. This wasn't a problem last week when I was using the 2020 version. It happened this morning and every single time since. If anyone has any advice, please get in touch! Cat
Hi. Does Audition allow you to search for identical fragments in a file? According to the specified sample.
Hi. (Again.) I need to locate my RMS values for my audio book and I can't seem to find the drop down menu. I believe it is in the Match To window, but I can't find that either. Do I need to be in multi-track? Thank you! Lara
I recently was playing with presets in effects rack and came across pre save presets like for male desser female desser i seen something for commentary also but know I can't figure out how to bring up these presave presets again can anyone help
I plug in my CAD GXL 2400 USB mic into my macbook pro. In apple settings, I have selected it as the input and the meter shows that it is reading properly. In audition, I choose CAD GXL2400USB under "Default Input"In multitrack, I set the input to the same CAD GXL2400USB and I click the "R" button. But the meter never shows any input. Hitting the record button records nothing but silence. I am at a loss.
Hello, I am new to AA and I have problems with effect settings: whenever I apply settings they only get applied point-in-time, not globally like in Ableton Live. Examples: (1) I modify settings of a VST plugin (it immediately snaps-back when I release the mouse button), (2) I turn the effects rack on and off again, it is applied point-in-time. This happens when I do modifications while I play the recording to get a preview of what the effect does. However, I do not want to apply this effect point-in-time, but globally for the whole track. How do I turn this point-in-time feature off?
Hello Everyone. I was told that I need to install two updates from Zoom in order to have the Audio Recording to work correctly. The Updates are As Follow:H_and_F-Series_ASIO, and H_and_F-Series_Multi Track_ASIO. I have already downloaded these files and Installed them. I am a PC User, and I noticed Audition Works If I am using Device Class: MME, Not ASIO. Also, I noticed, If I use any other Microphone except the 2 Microphones that came with Zoom H-6, I can not record to Audition or any other programs. I also have the MixPre-6 II, But I can use any Micrephoe and It worksPlease let me know what to do.Thank you very much.
I would like to change playback speed to be much faster for editing purposes. I tried Edit>Preferences>Playback and in the line saying JKL, chose Double Speed. But that is too fast. Is it possible to go, say, 1.5 speed?
I have an audio file (.wav) of a tap dance and I would like to isolate the tapping and remove the music. Any suggestions?
I'm a beginner, So i just dragged some audio files in the files window, and added a Reverse on part of the audio in the waveform editor, later I just saved and closed it, when I come back later, there's no audio in the files window and i thought this is like a project and it will save all the audios imported. Also I found the original audio file has alredy been changed with the effects on it and I thought threre should be an effects controls panel like in premiere, but I couldn't find it anywhere, how can I undo the effect or the audio file is just ruined from now on??
Obviously this could be an issue with Dropbox, as the problem seems to vanish when I turn sync off. Obviously living with Dropbox perpetually needing to be turned on/off is less than ideal, especially when my remote recorders are storing files there & my studio stores recordings there. Has anyone else seen this? I'm on macOS 10.14, Audition build 13
