I am using Sound Siphon to capture my Skype calls for my interviews. I have Audition and Sound Siphon configured to where I am getting a meter reading for both my guest's Skype voice and my Audition voice in the multitrack format. However, when I start to record, my guest's voice is clear, but mine records as static. I thought it my be interference from my iphone, but I moved it far enough away that I found the phone is not the problem. Why is my voice recording as static? How do i fix it? Thanks!
Adobe Audition has been adopted by many journalist in Canada as the field/home audio editor during COVID-19. Only a few journalist were using it pre COVID-19 but now with most journalist working from home many more are attempting to use it. At the Canadian public broadcaster DALET is the in-house Networked editing system. I am appealing to Adobe to update the file management in Audition. For less tech savvy journalist Audition has been a nightmare doing their job. You create a session and than you add different files to the session. The next job is to extract clips, name them and place them somewhere, a bin maybe. I can isolate a clip, Save to New, and Save As with a new name. Sound great, right? My clips are visible in the Files window, with the new name along with the sesx file and my original sound files. I can save this session but when I reopen, my clips that I created and named are not listed, only the original sesx and sound files. The clips are on the computer somewhere but hav
I have doing quite few multitrack recordings using 16bit and not having problems at all then I did few sessions as 24 bit and the recordings go smooth and nicely however when I try to save session the application halts at 99% and is not able to comple save command. As now Ive been waiting for 20 minutes and task manager showed the application working until just now - not responding. I am using MAC High sierra.
I was going to edit some audio in adobe audition as I usually do however, when I went to import my audio I recieved an error message that said this file has an unsupported file compression type. Does anybody know how to fix this error message?
Hi, I'm using a really old version of Adobe Audition (1.5) on both Windows 7 and 10. It does everything I need but today I had a really odd experience. An MP3 I was importing is 52:12 in length and shows that way in file listings and when playing in Winamp and other programs. However, when I import it into Audition, it's only 50:09. While there's silence at the end of the file, it cuts off in the middle of audio, plus I've never known Audition to skip over silence so I doubt that's related. The audio is 82 Kbps, 48000 Hz and was created from a Facebook video. I hope there are enough clues here for someone to figure out what could be causing this. I appreciate any insight.
I saved a plug-in's settings as a favorite, but not a preset. Is there any way to find out what my favorite settings are for that plug-in? I realize, I should have saved it as a pre-set first?
Hi, I can no longer get a multitrack project to open in Premiere Pro when exporting - the option is greyed out. I'm not in waveform view and all apps are latest releases. This was working until recently. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance. David
Hello! I accidently deleted one of the effects presets in Auditon, is there a way to recover or reinstall it? On Win 10 PC btw.
OMG.... I'm a VERY experienced film editor, and just figured out how to do a 24-track mix with Audition using effects and keyframes and all kinds of stuff. Then I exported and synced it up with the video and it's great. Now I've just spent 30 minutes getting very frustrated trying to figure out what must be one of the simplest things ever: how to remove the in and out marks I made to export a range. WTF, I've searched everywhere I can think of, and I'm at the point where I'm going to go outside without a mask or gloves and mingle with crowds. Please help
For some reason, when I record my microphone on Audition the audio peaks like crazy even though my mic's gain on my interface is set pretty low. any idea how to fix this?

Hello,I am at my wits end here. Whenever I start Adobe Audition, my monitors refresh rate tanks into the low 10's - stays there for a few seconds and then goes up again. Basically everytime I bring the program to the front, move it around on the desktop or resize windows in Audition this happens. Now I know you may think it's not the refresh rate, but it really is. My monitor can output the refresh rate on it's OSD - and I can see it drop from 120Hz to 9, then 30, then 5 etc when working with the program. As soon as I minimize it or use another program, refresh rate goes back to 120Hz.So here's the kicker... this does NOT happen when I have youtube open in a browser, or watching any kind of video, be it streaming video, Mediaplayer or VLC. As soon as a video is running on my system, Audition behaves completely normal, even if for example the browser the video is running in is minimized in the taskbar. On youtube, I can even pause the video and minimize it. Audition will behave normally
I created a podcast in Audition with interview, host, and music bed tracks. When I export the entire set as a Multitrack Mixdown, the file only plays the music bed and not the audio. I tried all of the options for export that are listed in this doc under "Exporting and Publishing Your Podcast"Anyone have any advice??
Making a podcast - is it possible yet to save a preset for the podcast that I'll need to use over and over again for other episodes? Something that keeps the Match Loudness settings, EQ, metadata, etc.?
All of a sudden Adobe Autition 2020 lost all my Favorites settings. I restared the computer, but they did not come back. I still got my Favorites on my other computer, but I cannot find where they are stored. They are no longer where they used to be in Adobe Audition 2019 and earlier versions. Please can someone help me here? Thanks!
just installed Adobe Audition and I am getting an error message that reads "Audition has detected a problem with the current audio hardware settings". So what do I need to do? This error pops up when I try and record.
Hi everyone. I'm new to using adobe audition and I'm trying to work out how to record an interview with someone off-site, either through Skype, Zoom or iPhone. Can anyone suggest a VERY basic YouTube video tutorial to watch? The ones I have found are too complicated. Thank youRebecca
I'm using my boat company's USB headphones, I'm having issues with low loudness while recording my audio, I tried changing settings in audio hardware. I changed master clock options from: out Speakers ( High definition audio device) toIn: Microphone (High definition Audio device). I even tried changing Latency options but nothing worked.. Can anyone help me outThanking in advance.
Good afternoon! When opening a multi-channel WAV file (this one happens to be a 32-track 32-bit, 48KHz file) out of my recorder (KlarkTeknik DN32-LIVE), no PKF (peak file) is generated. Therefore every time I open the multi-track project that uses these files, there is a very long load time, as Audition must re-scan all the audio files. Yes, I have all the features enabled to create PKF files. AND the weird part, it only does this with certain multi-channel wav files. I created a 32-track WAV file in Audition, saved it, and it saved a PKF file. I even tried opening up the aforementioned file out of the DN32-LIVE, re-saving it with Audition and still no PKF file was generated. Is there a way I can submit this file for analysis to see why Audition does not recognize it as a standard multi-track WAV file? It responds the same way whether this is is an 8, 16, or 32-track file out of the DN32. Thanks!!-Todd
Is it possible to use my scarlett 18i20 external USB device (8 channels) and my internal m-audio delta sound card (4 channels) at the same time? It looks like under the hardware setup you can only select one type at a time. Thx!
i don't know if this is possible, but is there anyway that while using two USB microphones I can somehow use them both to pick up recording for the two different speakers in the podcast. I haven't been able do what I mentioned above so I did it in another format so I just used my apple device for one way to record and my laptop for voice recorder for another. But this process is quite time consuming and hopefully there is a way (or close to a way) that you could help me resolve this issue. Secondly, in terms of mic bleed I have a large issue with that in addition. Which also leads to finally, I don't know how you can accurately line up the clips so they play together In unison and have no delay. Hopefully this is enough detail for my request but I will put it into simple: q1- how to record on audition with two usb mics (using a laptop and no audio interface) (laptop has 3 usb slots)q2- Mic bleed (and how to solve even when two people talk at same time)q3- how to line up
Hello, how can you customize the file storage using window 10 audition and premiere
What is hard pan?
Help!!! I have this issue. I got the OM7 Mic to try to get rid of the background noise. I'm a beginner by the way and well here Is what I've done so far-- I bought a Focusrite and connected that I also tried building some sort of DIY home studio (i tried recording outside of it and the underwater /tin sound is still present). Background noise is not present but the white noise is crazy which I tried getting rid of in audacity with noise reduction. Sigh. And one last thing i noticed that when I increase the gain on focusrite the white noise is well what it normally is, annoying. But if i try reducing the gain then the white noise is like a monster lol. Am i doing something wrong? I'm about to pull my hair out or worse cry. [Mod note: moved to a thread of its own]
Hi guys, So last night I managed to cut out all the sections i wanted from one audio. All of the clips were seperate as I was going to edit each section seperatley. However, as you can see, only half of my clips have sound... last night whilst i was editing the piece/ going over it everything was fine. I managed to save my session alongside the material I was using so that I could continue it today.... BUT WHERE'S THE REST OF MY SOUND 😞 I have checked things out in 'audio hardware/mapping,' and nothing is on mute? Is there a way to retrieve the sound from my clips or will i have to start again? I appreciate any help i can get! Thank you 🙂
