I'd like to make a phonetogram* of my voice, in order to analyse what its reach and volume-per-semitone is. Is there an option in Adobe Audition to do this?An example: *A phonetogram displays the dynamic range of the human voice in terms of both fundamental frequency ( pitch ) and intensity (loudness). I recently bought the Zedi10 4x4 audio interface and I'm having some issues setting it up with Audition CC. In the Audio Hardware settings I have it set as a WASAPI device which is the only way I could get it to give me the correct 4 channels in the drop down menu for selecting an input. HOWEVER, when I try to record anything nothing happens. I can check the level of ONLY input 1 and record it in Waveform view but I can't get it to record at all in multi-track. I understand that sometimes there's an issue where if the "Default Stereo Input" is set to "None" then you can't record. Mine says None but I went into the Audio Mapping and it lists the correct device as default. What am I doing wrong here? I want to set this up to deliver the 4 channels in multi-track for podcasting but I can't seem to find and answer. See pictures for more info.

I want to use Audition, MacBook Air and Focusrite Scarlett 18i8 2nd gen to record my radio shows and need to record 3-4 channels.Currently, with Audition, I can only recognize 2 channels. Is there a way to use Audition to record more than 2 channels with this equipment?Thank you and please advise if you've figured it out or know how.

I'm trying to ditch my desktop and all the stuff that plugs into it. I wager my interface is something that I will have to plug in when I want to record. However, is there one most suitable to plugging and unplugging frequently?I am a Windows user, although I change laptops annually it seems. I use Audition 3.0, but I'm fine upgrading if that's what it takes.Thanks!

Will the above work with adobe audition?I have audition cc 11.1.1.3--with windows 7I'm trying to upgrade my audio vo interface--which now consists of a behringer xenyx 1204 connected to the usb adaptor the mixer came with--that usb adaptor seems a bit noisy. So wanted to check before i buy---any help or experiences with this unit would be appreciated--also if you have any other usb interfaces that work well/better--please let me know--as I'm not neccessarily married to the idea of buying THIS one....ThanksTony

Hi,I'm editing spoken audio in Audition CC.How come Audition can't fast forward (while pressing L on timeline) spoken audio without making it sound like Donal Duck (high pitch), while Premiere etc. can do it?Or is there a way around this that I am not aware?

It seems like this should be simple but is it possible? Allow selection of several ranges from the markers window.Right-click on selected ranges to choose "Invert selection"."Ripple delete selection" - will delete each selected range 1 by one from the earliest one until the end.This would allow rapid cleaning/editing of files with hundreds of identified "To keep" marker ranges. Otherwise it is extremely long & tedious. (It would be very useful for editing single recordings for IVR messaging, sometimes 1000s of messages, each a few seconds long - so a few clicks instead of a WEEK's manual labor! ).Inserting into multitrack is not an option as markers are not reinserted, and all the ranges must be exported to separate filesThanks.

When I record an audio file on Auditionusing my USB audio interface, the recording sounds like it's off mic when I play it back. I am going to Preferences>Audio Hardware and choosing my USB device in the dropdown menu for Mic selection. The audio file looks like a normal recording, but is clearly off mic when in playback mode.  Can you help?

Has anyone had issues with the transfer of a favorite xml file from an older Adobe Audition CS6 to a new cloud based version? I seem to see some instances with the favorites in the upgraded version, of incorrectly timing down audio.

Hello... I am working at a small radio station on a new computer. I am working on mixing a story in Multitrack, and I can't get cuts to play through the headphones. They play back through headphones in Edit mode, but when I switch to multitrack they play only through the . I have looked at Audio Hardware Setup, and the settings look similar for both modes. I've also tried plugging the headphones into the monitor speaker as well as the computer tower. I'm using a Dell Optiplex 750, Adobe Audition 3.0, Behringer Monitor Speakers MS16... Does anyone know what's going on?Thanks!

Hi guys! I've recently begun noticing that the audio in my recordings get distorted sometimes at the end of a sentence, turning the audio into a weird, robotic sound. It was acceptable at first but now it happens every other sentence and is ruining my VO recordings for clients. I use an Apogee 96k mic which is a couple of months old now. Changing the sample rate doesn't work. I don't think it's a problem with Audition because the raw audio already has the problem. Even switching to Audacity the problem still exists, so it shouldn't be a problem with the DAW.So the next thing I did was to change my mic. I used my spare mic, a Rode NT-USB.  The problem was lessened but it was still there on multiple case

I've been searching the internet trying to find out if Audition can create the DVD-Audio format.  I have a phono amp that I can connect to my MBP and record audio from vinyl, but still have questions about how to capture and save it as a 24-bit DVD-Audio DVD (not an audio-only DVD-Video disk.)  Also wondering, do I need special media for this, or is DVD-R they type of disk used for Audio-DVD?  Thank you very much for your help!

Before I set about the painstaking task of manually duplicating (and translating) all my keyboard shortcuts for my Windows installation of Audition CS6 to my Mac version, is there any way to do this automatically or even somewhat automatically? It can't have been resolved at the time of the recording for lack of time of the interlocutor. Can we do anything in post--prod? When I migrated data on my Mac over to HighSierra from Yosemite, I migrated CS5.5. Due to incompatibility issues, I want to uninstall the programs. The uninstaller won't work. How can I uninstall the programs? A page on the Adobe website says that one shouldn't simply drag it to the trash. What should I do?

I am trying to edit a podcast but every time I use ripple delete, Audition crashes. Every time. I am happy to send someone, anyone, the crash report. I just can't figure out what's going on.

Hi, this is a concern that's been bugging me a bit so I wanted to ask, if I import any kind of audio, does the original audio where it came from stay as it is? I'm asking because when I drag an audio file into Audition, it converts the audio into the WAV format. So just to be sure, does the original audio stay completely untouched, or could there be any slight change in quality from the source file?Thanks

Is there any possibility to change the tuning standard calibration A4 440 to some other values, say A4 420Hz for the spectral interpretation?In other words I would like to shift the frequency axis for a music piece, without changing the pitch or anything else, but just to interpret the frequencies differently.Thanks for any feedback.

I don't have a output signal when using MME device (which I always use)I noticed that the Microsoft Line Audio Codecs that is being activated when I plugin my Lenco Digital record player gives a migration error in Windows Device manager.Is this an Adobe or Microsoft issue???A Microsoft Technician worked remotely on my laptop, last week, regarding this issue, but no solution.Can anybody help or advice.

Hello! Recently I downloaded a t.v series that had a 5.1 Audio source and whenever I play it through the waveform the vocals are always taken out how ever. When I export the Audio it exports it through the multitrack which then the vocals are still in the audio. I'm trying to sample a song so is there any way I could get the best audio with no vocals without  having to try and duplicate the audio in multitrack. I am currently using Audition CC 2018 thanks! ~Anthony

I switched to Maximum Editing mode, then closed the mixer panel because it gets in the way of source material on my second screen. Figure it's easy to get back, but I can't figure out how. Thanks
