Hi there,I have podcast use case.I have two audio files each from a mic for each person, however, each file has mic bleed from the other person as well . So i would like to clean up each track by keeping the main person's voice and remove or mute the second person's voice. So far I am using the Noise Reduction with Capture Voice Print. I select a sample of voice I want to remove, select that as a voice print and then apply it to the whole audio. It reduces the volume for that voice. Is there a better way, Thank you,
Hello, I have been struggling with a problem for a week but I can't solve it. I bought an Audio Technica at 2035 microphone and an ESI U22 XT sound card, but when recording there is usually a click every 20 or 30 seconds in my recording. I tried many ways, I increased and decreased the buffer size, although the clicks are relatively less in the small buffer size, but it still exists and does not disappear. I tried different audio recording software but the problem still persists, I even changed my laptop windows but the problem still persists. We tested the microphone and sound card in the store where I bought it and this time there were no clicks and the sound was clean and clear, I am really surprised. The only way left for me is to try the record process with a new xlr cable and if it still doesn't solve the problem, I really don't know what to do. Do you have a solution for this problem? I'm really going crazy, I don't know what to do. please help me thank you very much.
When I record a podcast on Audition for Mac OS 15.1.1, after about twenty minutes, a clicking noise starts to appear on the audio track. Has anyone else experienced this problem? I’m using professional microphones and a mixing desk. I didn’t have this issue before. I haven’t changed anything in my setup except possibly the update to my Mac.THANKS a lot. J.
Hi eveyone. I usa a MAc Book Pro running Catalina 10.15.6 using the latest version of AUDITION. Where can I find my hard worked personal configuration "RACK EFFECTS PRESETS" ?I would like to back up on my external hard drive -AND- install my custom presets into my other computer. Any suggestions as to how to do this? Thank you.-Shawn
I bought a brand new $2000 Dell computer a couple months ago. Its way better than my old Dell computer. I have been using Scarlett 4i4 to record and playback. Worked fine on my old computer. For some reason my new computer fails to recognize the Loopback and the Analogue 3+4 so I can't record through the rear inputs. I have 2 mics plugged into the front and 2 line inputs plugged into the rear. I can hear the keyboard on my headphones thru the Scarlett, but the sound doesn't get to Audition. I have tried everything I can think of. Can anyone help?
After importing a 7 track poly wav file from my recorder, i want to do some slight editing and removing some of the tracks. I do not seem to find out how to re-render the file as a new 5 track poly wav. I can do it as a 5.1 but then i will end up with a silent track in the renderad file (LFE). Any ideas?
Hi. I almost gave up because i can't handle this problem.I checked LITERALLY all troubleshooting methods from internet but nothing works.Mic: Fifine k658 (USB) (but not important because same behaviour i have with integrated mic in laptop)Laptop: Asus FX707ZVOS: Windows 11I always used a MME device type and i know about WASAPI can fix this behaviour, but i can't use it because of worst sound quality and robotic lags on recorded sound.I tried same mic and same version of Audition on my different win10 laptop and everything is good. So it's a problem in win11 i think
extract audio from CD doesn't work, bu I can hear the CD on a Cd player, what can I do?
FolksHow do you download a previous version of Audition this versionCurrently has bugs in it.Thanks-David
I'm looking to get a new Windows machine. I want Adobe Audition to love it. I want to be able to run session with loads of tracks and loads of effects and not have my machine stutter when I do. This is what I'm working with now:AMD Ryzen 9 3950 16-Core proccessor32GB of DDR4 RAMSSD system drive (550GB) but a mix of HDD and SDD for my sound libraries and project data, etc.NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 TiWindows 10And here's what it looks like in Task Manager while I try to work in avery a large session which the computer can't always do smoothly without stuttering the whole time:I'm currently looking at a PC Audio Labs RokBox MCX with:i9-13900K processor32GB of DDR5 RAMall SSD drives2GB Triple Display NVIDIA graphic card (unsure precisely what model it is, but probably the same NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti)Windows 11 Can anyone tell me if it looks like I'm making a wise choise? It's very pricey (~$3500) and I'm not sure I can really afford. Am I ovespending? Any and all advice welcome
I am using Adobe and I'm on the UA platform. Has anyone figured out how to route the built in metronome/click BACK into a normal track in Adobe? I want to record the click as I record other tracks I can send that out for mixing/mastering.
Please add Ripple and Roll edits to the Multitrack interface. I'm not talking about Ripple Delete. I understand that Ripple Delete exists, and how it works. I'm talking about ripple editing, where a change made cascades down the Timeline. Premiere has Ripple/Roll/Slip/Slide. The idea of a digital media editor without that functionality is, well, hard to believe. Premiere can do it for both video and audio, even keeping transitions intact while the underlying edit is changed! Just port that functionality over to Audition, please! Particularly in Multitrack, this shortcoming needlessly complicates the editing process. If I need to go back and modify an edit earlier in the Timeline, I have to manually ensure that all subsequent edits are preserved by selecting the remaining content and repositioning it to accomodate the change. If it weren't for some of Auditions other features, I'd edit all my audio in Premiere simply to gain that functionality.
Currently, when you Edit > Insert > Insert Silence into a session, the automation keyframes on busses will move accordingly. Great. But when you Edit > Ripple Delete > Time Selection in All Tracks, automation keyframes on busses will not move accordingly. Not great at all.Like so: https://youtu.be/_hq7BsYotrgIf there's some advantage to Audition performing this way, I can't imagine it. But it'd be great to at least have an "Adjust track keyframes when performing ripple edits in busses" option in Preferences > Multitrack.
Hi there, I struggle with a very basic task: I want the window where I can see the list of imported audio files to be green waves. Now they are a list of text. I want to put IN and OUT points in the green waves and transfer them to the multitrack window. Can you help? Thank you!
Hi everyone; I have a Mac Mini M1 which has had some problems of late which I have resolved as I had an issue with the logic board Recently upgraded to Mac Sequoia OS and all seems fine in that regard. The latest issue I have with Audition is that it keeps crashing on opening and this is most annoying to say he least. How do I fix this??
It would be nice to copy/paste keyframe placement between tracks. In this case, I changed the levels in certain areas of a music track that wasn't finished. Instead of going back and reinserting said keyframes at the same values in the finished file, it would be nice to select all keyframes in the unfinished file and paste them in the new file. I've tried doing this and all it does is copy/paste the actual file instead of its keyframes.
I have a recurring problem with the connection between Audition for Windows (v2023, although I've also had it with earlier releases) and RODEcaster Pro ASIO. I just configured a new computer this week and was hoping I might thereby solve this issue, but it's already returned. I'm not entirely sure what triggers it, but after I've been working with multitrack sessions using the RODEcaster, an Audition error message will pop us saying that my audio hardware (RODECaster ASIO) has failed to load. It then prompts me to reset the "Audio Hardware" preferences. I initially thought it was only when the computer went to sleep, but my current computer is set to never sleep and yet I still got this error message. The strange thing is, I never get this error message when the RODEcaster connects via MME. But I'd rather not use MME as it doesn't have the flexibility that ASIO does. To get RODEcaster going again, I have to either restart Audition or sometimes just restarting the RODEcas
Why is the calculation method for the average RMS value different between the most recent version of Adobe Audition that I am currently using and the previous Adobe Audition 3.0? The results calculated from the same file in each program turn out differently. Please explain how the calculation methods differ in each version and which one provides the accurate value.
One of my clients sent me some of his audio files in pkf format to work on a project for him. I have Audition 2025 however when I try to open the file, it cannot find the file. When I look at the file types that Audition can open, that is not one of the formats. From everything I read online and in the Discussion forums, I cannot find anything that I can do to open these files. I read that you're not able to convert the pkf files to any other format - is this true? Can someone suggest anything?
Hello! If I record a polyphonic song with only one microphone, can I edit voices separately in Adobe Audition? For example, if the voice of a person who stood near the microphone was recorded more distinctly and other voices were not so or vice versa, is it possible to correct it so all voices sound equal?
Hello my lovely community, I'm facing a severe issue while trying to record my sound, Using USB Microphone after updating my Windows 11 Pro OS to Version 22H2 very recently. It was mgnificently used to record sounds, before my OS was updated (when the version was 21H2).I'm using Adobe Audition 2023 (Build:- 23.2.0.68), and it is fully updated, and using "Maono 903" USB Microphone. To an alternative, I've been using Audacity to record sounds only, but while recording, it skips/drops some of the sounds (waveforms) in the recorded files, and thus I've to record those parts multiple times. Also, while importing the files and trying to play/edit/mix them in Adobe Audition, it shows "Detected Dropped Samples" messege. I'm attaching the video of the issue I'm facing, for your convenience, so that you can visualize it.It's my earnest request to this lovely community...Please help me out of this adverse issue and suggest me a way-out to overcome the same. Tons of thanks in
My cohosts main audio source got corrupted so we had to use his back up audio from obs but it has a werid distortion. Would welcome any help in how to fix this issue.
Hello, I seem to have glitched out my audition application. The file manager no longer display's the file name on the top left, and when I right click to view the enabled columns, the one for "Name" is checked, but grayed out. I've updated and restarted the program a few times, but have been unable to resolve. Any advice on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated! Tech specs if needed:Version 25.0Windows 11
Months ago, I recorded an album in Adobe Audition 1.5. I converted the sessions using Ses2Sesx and have been editing in 2024. After a couple days of editing, playback is impossible. It is grueling slow. To the point it takes nearly 5 minutes to start playing the session once I hit the play button. Then it's super slow and choppy. My sessions are 100+ tracks. I'm using plugins, but I don't feel like it's a crazy amount. Like maybe 4-5 per track and then another 5 on the bus. My computer shows the CPU is only using like 10% of it's power. I've noticed my sessions are taking up like 16 gb of ram. Is that normal? Why is it loading it all in ram? Exporting a full song takes 25+ minutes.... Even exporting a 10 second section takes 10 minutes. It takes 5 minutes to open or close a project. Sometimes closing takes longer. The program crashes like crazy. Sometimes I have export 5+ times before it'll actually work. Most of the time it crashes on 0%. I've sent those reports in.... Probab
