So, 7 months ago i've tried to remove vocals from Tarja Turunen's songmore specifically, i've been focusing on "Innocence"a long time ago i did remove them kinda nicely with Fruity Loops, but a week ago i returned and i tweaked FL and removed even more, but the instrumentals got a bit "noisy and hard" instead of smooth and clearSo i tried Audition, when i used the channel extractor as the video said, i was surprised, but then i began to realize the errorsthere is a muffled backtrack that accompanies her voice, and when it reaches a certain volume, the muffle stop and her voice appears for a secondso i think that's probably her voice, so i used the acapella track to extract her voice, and the drums and piano were still there, but worse, the muffle was also there, i don't know what it is but it's annoying me a loti'm an extreme noob in this software, and i'm very frustrated because i've tried 3 different softwares to remove the vocals on this song, which is one of the most important song
Hi People,I'm getting display errors in Mac's "finder" (file explorer) and display render errors in Quicktime as well, for pretty much all MP3's I master in Audition.First of all, listed in the Finder, most all time "Duration" entries are wrong. Often there's 20 seconds or more of "silence" added to the end of the recording - which is not part of the actual file, when opened in an audio editing program (like Adobe Audition). Some of the timings are way off, like an 8 minute song listed as 45 minutes. Then when these files are opened in Quicktime, there are further discrepancies. For the 8 minute song listed above (noted as 45 minutes in Finder), Quicktime displays total length as 9:02, adding a full minute of silent play at the end of the 8 minutes of true audio. The WAV or AIFF files, before converted, show the correct duration in Finder, and as well are rendered accurately in Quicktime. Thanks for any suggestions as to why this might be happening. Not sure if it's an
Hi guys !With Adobe Audition CC 2017 how can I select to select several parts in the same trackand low the volume of all those selected parts at once ?For example :I do VoiceOver and I just want to low all my breathings at once but not silence them completely, because it creates a vacuum. And I don't want to use a plugin as DeBreathe (I have it) than can alterate the recording. So now I low them one by one manually.I would like to select several breathings at the same time and low all their volume at once. The best thing would be to have Adobe Auditions selecting them automatically like it is with :Select "Effects > Diagnostics > Delete Silence (process)" "Scan" "Delete All" .But instead of "delete" them, we could just low their db volume at once. That would be nice.Anyway, in the meanwhile, here is my question again :How can I select select several parts in the same trackand low the volume of all those selected parts at once ?Thanks a lot for your help.(I hope I'm
Hi, I run/edit a podcast called Relative Paths. I always struggle with a certain situation and after 50 episodes I thought I better ask for some help/advice! Hopefully you can see the screeny below. We have 'Mark' my co-host on track 1, me on track 2. Both these are routed to 'Hosts' Bus on track 3. Track 3 sends to a Dynamic Processing effect on Track 4 to provide some voice ducking. Both voice recordings have been processed with 'Match Loudness' -20 LUFS / -1 dBTP and neither peaks when playing individually. As you can see from Track 3 though, I get summing / peaking on the Bus output. What would you recommend for making sure I don't get nasty peaky distorty (tech terms ) horribleness when both Mark and I laugh at something (He's a funny guy). I've played with 'Speech Volume Leveller' effect on individual tracks or on the Bus but that also does some amplification. Should I be investigating hard limiting, or compression? If there's a totally different / better way to set this up
Please forgive me.. I am a COMPLETE technological biff so if you ask me technical questions I will probably have issues answering them, which may make things more challenging! I have been recording quite happily both waveform and multitrack but yesterday, I went to start a new file and it has stopped recording sound. The record button works and starts the file but it is not recording any noise. The setup has not changed and I have logged out and restarted. I literally have no idea why it is not working. It is playing back previously recorded files but not letting me record into those either.Hoping that this is a quick fix to something that I have inadvertently pressed/turned off/have not idea aboutThanks for your timeFrustrated!
Hi there,I know it's simple but I'm trying to find the method to copy an entire session to further along my timeline on all it's original tracks. When I tried already, it pasted tracks in a onto different lines . (I have 4 bus tracks as 1,2,3,4 so not sure if that makes a difference). Thanks for your help.
I recorded a video but had background noise..is there a way to turn down the volume of the background noise? I'm at a restaurant.
I make and edit opera videos, and a company with which I work moved into a new venue this spring.I own a Sony FDR-AX100 and the company rented two more so I can effectively do 4K three-camera video, then use Premiere Pro CC 2017 to edit a multi-camera shoot. It's very hard work but the results are much better than anyone expected! The audio separation using on-camera mikes from the left and right (unmanned) cameras is much better than that I get from the sound engineer, and I would like to use it. The problem I have is that the theater has a loud air-handler system. Applying the newly released adaptive noise reduction feature (or, for that matter, the now-obsolete approach - I've tried both), much is improved - but in softer orchestral moments (CARMEN Act 3 Intermezzo with a duet for harp and flute as a good example) the instruments sound almost under water. All the examples of this feature and others are of much simpler noise problems (such as a narration with background noise, not sin
Hi everyone,I need help. something went wrong when recording an audio interview. the sound was too low, it didn't even display waves in Audition CC 2017. I amplified the sound, so now I can hear one of the speakers clearly, but the other one is very fainted, I tried different background reduction filters, but no luck.. it seems that the background noise is on a higher level than the other speaker voice. at least it is louder than hers.Does anyone have any solutions?thanks
hii have some audios , and i want to equalize themthey are already loud , but they don't hit the 0dBhow can i Eq my audios without hitting always the 0dB?i have tried to use fft filter ,parametic equalizer & graphic equalizer , i tried even fabfilter PRO Q2 (in trial version)i know there is a Master Gain at the beginning i thought to normalize to lower the audio and eq and normalize it again , but is really destruttiveat the second thought i used the master gainis the only way using the master gain in any Eq effects to avoid to hit the 0dB?are there other way to do it?thanksbest regards
Hey guys I am using Adobe Audition for making rap, and I wonder if a laptop with these specs can run adobe audio and the mackie onyx soundcard without any problems:Intel Core i5-7200U-processor 8 GB DDR4 RAM, 256 GB SSD-disk
Hey All, I have probably missed something somewhere, but I no longer have the ability to drag and drop audio clips from finder to straight into the Multitrack mode. I have uninstalled, reinstalled, updated, and nothing seems to be happy. Would love to hear thoughts on this, because it is really disrupting the workflow that I have set up. Thanks in Advance!
I am working on a classical music video that uses two audio sources. One was recorded using the venue's sound system using mics at the stage, uncompressed for peaks. The audio waveform therefore shows a beautiful sinuous pattern of softs, louds, and slopes between, and the performance sounds realistic, albeit realistic from an on-the-stage perspective. The other was recorded as part of the camera footage, taken from the back of the hall, to capture the ambience of the performance from the back-of-the-hall audience perspective; however, the camera automatically normalized all peaks, so that soft passages are louder than they should be and loud passages are compressed, resulting in an audio waveform that runs close to 100% normalization across time and sounds unrealistic. (I normally take my second audio source from a portable wav recorder, which also records uncompressed peaks, and mixing the two produces beautiful results, but I was unable to do that this time.)I have edited both clips
I use multitrack sessions on a regular basis, and there are many instances in which I stretch the audio that I'm working with. However, the default "stretch type" is always set to "Monophonic," as illustrated in the image below:http://prntscr.com/fwyqjr However, I almost always need this to be set to "Varispeed" instead. Instead of having to change this value for every single audio track that I put into my multitrack session, is it possible to make varispeed the default stretch type instead of monophonic? Is it possible to choose a default stretch type?
I start out with mp3 files and then make a session.Audition asks me to move the files I am using intothe inside sessions folder, but the files changeby themselves into much larger wav or aiff. Why do I want that and can I keep them as mp3?2017.1.1 build 10.1.1.11Thanks anyone
I'm relatively new to audition, audio editing, and thus I'm at what currently appears to be an impossible task by today's technology. My grandfather passed away in 2012 and within the past few years my uncle brought forth some cassette audio jam sessions of he and my grandfather playing.I am not sure if the cassette deck was tied into the amps they were using or if it was stand-alone. Nor am I certain of any settings setup during the recording. He asked me if I would be able to either make the vocals louder and/or diminish the guitars so that the vocals could be better distinguished.I've been tinkering with various settings in Audition to try and see if I can't figure it out. Watched some tutorials and tinkered some more.At various points in the audio the guitars over power the vocals significantly and I do not believe they were using a mic... I could be wrong.I was able to convert the cassette to mp3 via a converter I picked up. I have about, I think 45 minutes, of varying vocals to pl
I have a yamaha mg12xu connected to my pc. The audio is routed back to the mixer which is connected to yamaha hs5 monitors. I have been trying to use the metronome on live music recordings. My issue is that the metronome gets recorded on each of my tracks. I am not sure what I am doing wrong.
hii 'm trying a new program in trial version and i really liked some presetsi really like this presetAmplify light , the program is goldwave 6.28i have here a screenshotcan i obtain the same effect in audition cc with dynamic processing ?thanks
hijust a question are more efficient the vst or vst3 plugins?i have read about vst vs vst3 , for somebody vst3 are less stable but they have advantages (can work 64&32bit)may i know your experience with audition cc ?thanks
Hi. I can't resize my selections in spectral frequency view. Sometimes it's available and sometimes it's not. Toggling with shift z doesn't work either. Any suggestions? Thanks!
I'm trying to use Audition to make certain measurements of audio equipment, as those of you who've seen my previous posts are aware. I know it wasn't made for that, but I've got it and I'm trying to make it work. After several hours of frustration, I've concluded that Audition's Frequency Analysis module, while in some ways very good, is a serious limitation for me. The reason comes down to its windowing capabilities. I'll demonstrate the problem a little further down. For now I'll just get to the point: Is anyone aware of a plugin that works with Audition and offers expanded FFT-windowing capabilities? I really don't need much; in an ideal world--for my current needs--I'd simply add a rectangular (Dirichlet, or no windowing at all) windowing capability to the current program. I do not need or want real-time FFT: I just want to analyze files. (The only reason I'm interested in an Audition plugin is workflow. Stand-alone programs would require a couple of extra steps: saving files, swit
I was very familiar with Cool Edit Pro and Adobe Audition 3 back in the day. I'm finally getting back into music again but a couple things with Audition CC have thrown me off and I can't find the answer in the program preferences.1. When deleting the beginning portion of a clip in the waveform editor, it moves the entire clip in the multitrack regardless of it being locked in time. How can I delete the beginning of a clip without the entire clip moving?2. When exporting a session as a Multitrack Mixdown, it also adds any blank/silent space at the end of the session. For example, I record a 2 minute song, mix it down and its 2 minutes 30 seconds because it adds 30 seconds of silence at the end. I want the mixdown to end after the last clip. How do I do that? Thanks!
Hi, friends. there is a problem that I can,t solve. I use a lg all one with hdmi port. This is connected in a cable tv box.well, I record my audios with a audio technica 2500 usb. with the cable tv connected (but turned off) I get the following trackbut if I retire the cable tv from hdmi port, I get thatit puzzles me
Hey Guys, I have a play that I am mixing in audition. There is ambient music playing in the background of the scene, which I am trying to create a ducking effect for so that when the charaters speak, the music will attenuate. Well, there's really just one main character, a sock puppet, talking to himself, if it would just duck the music when he speaks, I would be happy. There is also other random ghost voices that come from the corners of the room but I'm not that worried about ducking under them, they only have a few lines. BUT I CANT GET EITHER TO WORK.I created an effect on the effects rack for the music track and moved the two white dots to a perfectly flat -25 limit at the top of the chart. Then I clicked the side chain button indicating there will be a mono input. Then I set the mono track of the speaking character to have a send track (volume up to +0) and aimed it at the processing effect on the music track. I notice absolutely no difference. None at all. Also, I've now noticed
I use a simple live noise reduction in adobe audition for use with programs such as Skype, and OBS. I take in audio from my Blue Yeti Mic (Stereo) and output it into a Virtual Audio Cable Line 1 (Stereo.)Recently, when I've left this setup going, after about 10-15 minutes of use, the quality of my voice has begun to degrade. It will begin to sound slightly distorted and the pitch lowers slightly. (This happens regardless of whether or not the Noise Removal effect is enabled.)The kicker is, if I switch my output off of Line 1 to anything else, and then back to Line 1, the problem fixes itself for a little bit again.
