My day was ruined when I found out the audio tracks in my session have been lost, I have searched every forum with these questions and the link media cannot find my files. I'm wondering if there is a backup or anything I can use to find my audio tracks. To elaborate, I used the save feature and later on tried re-opening it and none of my audio tracks saved. I have done everything I can if you have any questions feel free to ask. I need to find these tracks, I can't imagine they just vanished.
Since updating Adobe Audition CC 2017 last week, I can no longer go directly from pause to stop.It did before. Please help...Ralph
Is it me or is FL studio more popular for vocal editing. I search a lot of youtube stuff and I can't find hardly anything about singing or anything about the effects in adobe audition vs fl studio. All I see is FL Studio everywhere......Why isn't anyone using adobe audition for music like me? I do a lot of vocals and need to find out what effects I need. I'm just saying Adobe Audition needs to step it's game up.
Installed the April 2017 release of Audition CC today, but when trying to capture a noise print, it is generating an error.Shift+P works to capture the noise print before Shift+Cmd+P to open Noise Reduction, however when clicking the playhead away from the current time selection the noise print is lost and an error is generated. Using 'Capture Noise Print' button in NR dialog still generates the error. And then pressing spacebar to play the track crashes the program consistently. Is there a fix or do I need to wait for Adobe to fix?
Hello everyone,I keep finding sound anomalies in audio footage recorded with my Zoom H4N.They sound like a crackle and are most likely caused by wind, as I had a lot of wind noise and rumble. They turn up as black bars in my spectral frequency display. Is there a way to fix these in Audition?Thank you!
Hello to all audio experts.I have a few question and I'm really looking for some constructive advices. We had a conference where we have recorded all the presentations with ExtremeCap 910 (http://www.avermedia.com/education/product/all/extremecap_910). We where capturing video with ExtremeCap 910 and for audio we where capturing it separately trough audio jack connected to the ExtremeCap 910. But we had some technical issues and at the end we had to record all the audio with ExtremeCap 910 recorder which was a few meters away from the speakers. Those the audio we have right now is very bad. Here is the link to the audio. I have extracted it with VLC from the source: Dropbox - recorded_audio.mp3 Now my questions are:is1. Which effects/techics in Audition CC should I use to try to improve the audio so people will be able to actually understand what the speakers are saying? I tried with (normalize, vocal enhancer and a few others) but with not great results. Audio is a little better but not
The "Action" menu on the items in my Inbox doesn't do anything, so it won't perform any actions. I have no need at all to save the contents of my Inbox, nor do I have the time to spend maintaining yet another collection of online forum messages and notifications I didn't ask for.Please... How do I clean out my Inbox?
I recently bought a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 (2nd gen) and when I connected it to my PC, Windows attempted to install the driver but failed so I downloaded the latest driver from the Focusrite website, v4.15.0.172. I can select the 2i2 as the default recording device but when I attempt to select it in Audition I received the following message: " The audio input is not activated. Recording audio is not possible. Please check you input configuration."I've checked everything and can't see what's wrong.Windows is fully upto date. Can anyone help?[Moved from non-technical Forum Lounge to specific Program forum... I just installed CS6 and when I try to record I get "the sample rate of the audio input and output devices do not match. Audio cannot be recorded until this is corrected".The problem I am having is that one of the devices is 'greyed out' so I can not change it to match the other device. And the other device doesn't offer the sample rate of the device that is greyed out. So what can I do. One is 44,100hz and the other is 48,000hz.I am using Steinberg for recording interface. Below you can see it is grayed out at 44100hz.Now if I go to my playback, it shows only one option, i.e 48000hz option.
I know lots of people here are very excited about Project Voco demonstrated on stage last fall. However, in searching for interesting news about the project, I came across what appears to be a scam site at vocobeta dot com. Two questions: One, this is a scam, right? Some parts look legit, but the copy and the icon design are a little off. Two, if it's real, should I expect to get into a beta group if I sign up, or is this just collecting emails?
I have no idea what the issue is here:I have both restarted my computer AND uninstalled/reinstalled the programme several times.I can still use effects using the drop down list.Screenshots below.Any suggestions?
In the spirit of extending my skills into podcasting, I foolishly tweaked a few settings. Yes, I am definitely dim when it comes to understanding the audio world. Honestly, I thought I untweaked everything. But no. And now I cannot hear my adobe audition files through my headphones and neither can I record through my mic. I can do both on Studio 1 so nothing is broken. I would be eternally grateful for any directions-for-dimwits to restore the settings to how they should be.
We had a meeting at our company with a delegation, the discussion was live interpreted to 4 different languages now, the meeting was recorded for archival purposes, but after the meeting was finished and while I was checking the quality of the recording I realized that sometimes the interrupters were talking while they kept their mics on and because of that their voices were picked up on other language channels which it shouldn't be the case, Now how to fully remove those individual voices from those channels without effecting the audio quality of the rest of the channel as there are still people taking while the interpreter voice can be heard in the background.
I recently changed from Audacity to Audition for Voiceover recordings. However ever since using the system I have on occasion found that I get a garbled sound (almost like being underwater) and clicks. There is no particular pattern to this (not at the front and end of tracks)Au Support cleared my machines CACHE and the problem has not been resolved. I am using the mac above and record through a Rode NT1A mic (with a shock), through a Focusrite Scarlett 2i4 into Audition. I record single track mono at 48k with a 32 bit float and have tried changing the Buffer speed which make no difference. I purchased Audition to assist with ACX audiobook production but at the moment I am struggling due to the above. The equipment is around 10 months old and is kept in a recording booth so I don't see any issues with damage - it just seems to be an issue with Adobe.Any ideas would be most greatly appreciated.
Hi,SummarySomewhat a newbie, I am transferring some important old archived cassette recordings from family members to a digital format.I am transferring the recordings from my old but good condition 16bit tape deck, into a 96khz .wav file in AA on my PC. I trust will allow me to work on them whilst maximising the chances of keeping the original quality as good as possible - right through to the final CD.ProblemOne one such recording there are some noticeable clicks and a few that are truly huge! I have provided a picture below to illustrate this, and you can see the thin vertical lines between the narration clips. It sounds to my ear like the big clicks possibly might be scratches/clicks on a record, accompanied with minor ones that possibly are LP dust clicks. As there is some piano music playing in the background, it might be that this is the case, and the narration has been done against a low level music backing on an LP - but I cannot be sure. There is no way I can get the relatives
I realize that there isn't a user interface to allow me to change the background of the frequency analysis window like can be done for in the waveform background but is there a setting in a file such as the ApplicationSettings.xml file that can be manually edited. I see multiple fields of type "ColorRGBA" that look promising, but nothing in the Frequency analysis section of the file. If not this file, any other one that might have the background color setting for the frequency analysis? I like to use a graphic produced by cropping down a screen print and prefer a white background for my graphs.
Hello,I have this new computer for at least two weeks. I also had Windows 10 updates last night. When I tried to load Audition CC this morning, it's didn't load the screen at all (Plus I had to go to work). On Task Manager it says that it's not responding. How do I fix this problem and have Audition load normally?
Recently, while recording new audio in multitrack, the waveform has been bright red while recording, as is the rectangle around it. The audio is recorded properly; this isn't even necessarily a problem, as Audition is functioning exactly as it was before. The track will revert to the default color once it's finished recording and you wouldn't know that there had been anything different at all; however, I'm at a loss as to what it is that Audition is trying to tell me here because I can't seem to find any documentation. What does this mean?
Sirs:My computer is Win 7 64bit Adobe CS6. Using mono mic thru M-Audio Pro-USB. How can I record to both channels at the same time? Otherwise I must copy and paste which very time consuming. Thanks,David
I'm running into a couple of problems:1. (This one has happened to me many many times): I go co close Audition. It asks me if I want to save all unsaved changes. I click yes or yes to all, but no matter what I click, even if I click no, the program will not close. the only way I can get out is to cancel it through task manager, and of course I've lost a lot of work, though I never know exactly how much.2. I save my file, as I do often. Then it starts trying to export the work to ... I don't know where, but that's inevitably followed by the message "The file is in use by another application and cannot be overwritten."Both of these problems often recur even after I reboot the whole system.Any insights would be greatly appreciated.Thank you
HiWhenever I reopen an Audition project it loads up fine with all my plugins, but without the preset name; instead it says "Custom". The preset is there, but not its name. It's driving me nuts!To clarify: I insert a plugin, I select a preset, I save the project. I close Audition. I reopen Audition, reopen the project, go to the plugin: I can hear the preset, but the name isn't there, only"Custom"!
I have connected an ADAT interface to my RME Babyface, and while I can see (and hear) the inputs to the ADAT interface just fine, I cannot for the life of me understand how I am supposed to be able to record the eight inputs in Audition. When I check the Audio Channel Mapping settings, all I can see as a default input for Audition is "Default Stereo Input".I know I can record several tracks when I enter Multitrack mode, but I want to be able to record eight channels (or even the eight ADAT input channels mixed down to stereo input into Audition) in Waveform mode.Is this possible?I just launched Audacity, and immediately found out how I can record, say, ten channels into it. Input from ADAT interface is registering just fine. Can anyone help me set up multitrack input into Audition?
Hello, we have encountered an urgent problem with Audition and are hoping someone can advise us on a solution. We recently did an update of Adobe Audition CC but now when we import the OMF files Audition it is no longer able to manage them. If we use the non updated version instead we have no problems. The OMF files we use are generated by Protools 11.3.1. We were wondering if anyone else had had this same issue and what is the solution to this. Thanks for any advice.
Vielen Dank
