I'm recording in Audition 2023. Mono in multitrack.OS = Big SurMy recordings won't play back inside audition. I can see the waveform in audition and playback the .wav by clicking on the file in my finder. But that's it.Settings are Input: External interface (behringer u-phoria umc202) and Output: internal speakers (System pref for sound match the settings in Audition).I've tried restarting - didn't help. I'm a VO artist with an audition due tomorrow. Help please!
Hello, I've been using audition on my work computer for 5-6 years now, and as of yesterday started expericing an issue i've never encountered before. Whenever I go to record anything in Audition, as soon as I hit record the recording immediatley stops and starts. I originally thought it was a lag, but it's not a lag because almost no audio is recorded. You hit record, less than a second of audio is recorded, it stops, then after a few seconds it starts again, records less than a second of audio, and stop again. This just continues happening. I can't record anything because of it. My IT team is pretty stumped at this point. My first thought was maybe there isn't enough storage space on my laptop? I've deleted files and programs, but to no luck. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
Have tried several avenues and none successfully. Just would like to move/duplicate my keyboard shortcuts from office computer to my new laptop at home... thanks
Bonjour a tous, J'ai installe Adobe Audition 1.5. - Quand je lance un enregistrement sur Adobe, j'ai ce message " A device ID has been used that is out of range for your system", c'est le deuxieme probleme. J'entends bien le son de mon recepteur SDR ou le casque est connecte sur l'ordinateur principal (pas celui a distance) Je ne c'est si les deux problemes sont lies ... Merci de m'aiguiller, CdltBen
I wonder about the field down to the right in Edit View: "Detect Dropped Samples".I experience dropped samples while recording in Edit View, however they are never reported by Audition in this field. If i get dropped samples between the Audio interface (ASIO) and Audition, how do I detect them?Mats
Hello, first time poster using 24.4.1.3. I have 2 audio tracks from an interview. When one person speaks, the other listens, and vice versa. The listener's microphone picks up audio from the speaker. I'm not worried about that. Is there a way to mute audio below a certain dB threshold without highlighting every single instance within a clip? For example, please look at the sections of the clip I've placed in a yellow box in the attached photo. Let's say I wanted all of those sections in the yellow boxes to be muted without having to highlight and mute every instance. Is this possible? I'm thinking of something like a "reverse hard limiter..." Instead of pulling all audio over a certain dB threshold back to a prescribed dB, the question I'm asking is more about finding a way to mute all audio under a certain dB threshold. Will this destroy audio I don't want to destroy by muting little pauses between w
There seem to be some kind of presets in Audition that try to "correct" audio automatically, and in doing so create distortions. I would love some help so that I can turn these off, or at least know how to work with them. I am including two very short clips of audio. One is exported from Audition. During the silence, as the subject searches for words, Audition creates this effect as it tries to adjust for a bird in the background. The other clip is exported from Premiere. It sounds much more like the original recording in its original state. I would greatly appreciate help with this issue. It is causing me huge problems. Many thanks, Doug
I 've just updated the Blackmagic Desktop Video ( and Audio) driver to V14, which also required a firmware update for my Ultra Studio 4K. I now find that in Audition when there are inpulsive sounds they are followed by what sound like tap dancing. This is using the ASIO driver with the default settings: The exports are fine, just the monitoring. Using the MME driver with the same hardware is fine. Using the same ASIO driver and settings in Premiere is also fine. Not sure if this is a Adobe or BM problem. Windows 11 i9-9900k 64 GB ram RTX 2070 Super
Adobe audition and Sanoma 14.2.1 - I can only record the left channel. The right channel is inoperative as it it not receiving the feed from my Focusrite 2i2. This works ok in Logic Pro and Audacity but not Audition
Has been working fine for two years.Recorded fine this morning in Waveform.Went to edit. Could only hear audio out of left headphone.Read a few dozen things here to look at, settings wise. Confirmed everything was set up right with Audition Settings.Restarted Audition. No luck.Restarted computer. Finally could hear through both channels. Could edit but my personalized Keyboard Shortcuts no longer work. And now I can't record.Read a few more suggestions in this community. Confirmed Mac Microphone via Privacy and Security settings was solid. Sound Preferences? Check. Reset my Audition settings. Still can't record.Updated MacOS. No luck. Still can't record. Any help is appreciated. Set-up:MacBook Pro.MacOS Monterey 12.7.5AT2020 mic thru Focusrite Scarlette 2i2
I just installed my Focusrite Scarlett Solo 2i2 and am trying to record just voice tracks, it is only recording the left channel. I have looked in the forum at several different areas with similar questions and tried several different options, but nothing is changing the recording. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
All of a sudden Audition is insisting both my output devices (Macbook speakers and headphones) can only accomodate a sampling rate of 16K. None of the other programs I use (Ableton Live for example) are doing this. The Macbook Pro and the other programs recognize that my output devices have both 41K and 48K sampling. Any idea how to fix this? I am using version 22.6.0.66 on a Macbook Pro MacOS Monterey 12.6.9
Hi, I’m new to adobde audition and recorded some silence in my recording space to check my noise floor. However, its showing an extremely quiet noise floor which I know is not right. I have a Rode NT1 mic and the gain is selected to do voice over peaking between -6 to -3. When I previously tested my noise floor with a different DAW its around -55db to -60db. Is there some way I can get a more accurate picture of my noise floor with Adobe? Perhaps my settings aren't correct? TIA
I don't know if this is a bug or intended behaviour, but I have loaded a wav file with a narrator voice onto track 1, and after going through it with the Razor tool to remove bad takes, notes etc, I have a large number of cuts in the track. I have also put a few markers on the clip itself to correspond to specific things in the file that I want to keep track of (i.e. select the clip and press M). Now when I right click and select Merge Clips, these markers disappear. I want to merge clips because that makes it easier to move and place in the rest of the timeline, I don't want to have to select dozens of clips and move them around every time, but I also need those markers as a reference for when a sound effect needs to play under the narration, etc.Is there a way to preserve markers when merging clips?
Is it possible to add sightlines to the Waveform Editor panel as this gentleman has done here (see attached image; go here for the full video), or has that feature been removed from later editions of Audition?
I have the weirdest problem, and it's happened on three separate computers, once every few weeks. I edit a podcast: 5 dialogue tracks through a dialogue bus, two SFX tracks, and two music tracks. Each epsiode is about an hour long. Sometimes when I reopen a file, I'll notice that some clips are missing their waveform (sometimes just half their waveform). On checking the clip in the waveform editor, the original file is still in it's place, and I can view it in the waveform editor, but the clip will be essentially cut in half. The second half of the clip is missing entirely, so when the clip in the multitrack editor tries to reference it, there's nothing there. If I open the referenced audio file in File Explorer and compare it to my backup, the filesize is much smaller. And if I open it in an external media player, only half of the content is there. Somehow, Audition is completely deleting entire sections of my recorded audio. Of course I can then just re-cop
Hi when i try to record on Adobe Audition but the sound (wave) is completely flat. Do you know how to fix this. I went on my IMac to fix the input as well as applications. I think the issue is on Adobe Audition, but i don't know where....Thank you !
Hello, I have the problem with Adobe Audition crashes / shuts down, when I edit and playback a recent done recording in Edit mode (wav 24 bit 96kHz stereo). This happens so often that it is impossible to use Audition on this specific computer. It is possible to recover the crashed file, somtimes with added glitches at the end. Audition 24.4.1.3The computer is a HP Elite SFF 800 G9 Intel i5, 12500, with Windows 11 pro 23H2 22631.3593. I had the same problem with another computer, but it was solved by reinstalling Audition. I have tried reinstalling the crashing version, but with no luck.Kind regardsMats
I'm using several iZotope plugins that have all been found and enabled in Plugin Manager, but when I come to open a session with those plugins, I get the error that half of them could not be found. It's like Audition thinks those plugins aren't installed, despite its own plugin manager finding them. They are all VST plugins - Neutron 4, RX 10 De-ess, and Ozone 9.The same file I'm trying to open works on a Mac, so I believe this is just to do with this specific machine.I've already reinstalled the plugins and rebooted my machine. Running Audition build 24.2.0.83 on Windows 11.
First, I admit to being an idiot. How have I produced and published 90 podcasts? Today as I began working on producing another batch, I can't seem to open the Essential Sound Panel in the same way. I used to have a great box that would sit at the right of my screen where I could click "dialogue" and then pick the type of sound or "music" and set the levels. It's gone and I can't find it. Help!
I'm running Adobe Audition 2020 and it has been for quite a while now really just been causing a lot more trouble than makes sense. I edit podcasts with 4 clips I need to clean out the usual umms, uhhs, likes, etc. on top of the usual hardware glitches and problems. Can be a reasonable amount of clipping but overall about 20 minutes of timeline total. And yet after a point, usually after I save it (not and close/reopen just manually save) starts really lagging/hitting not responding any time I move the playhead. For reference this is a most recently finished project that took an extra hour from this: Only last thing I can thnk of is I do apply the Podcast Voice preset before editing since it does set a good base for volume increases and processing. I don't believe it should have such adverse effects, but I haven't tried applying it at the end. I did some research in advance and found some similar issues that I tried fixes on. Pre-Rendering FX did improve this a bit, except fo
I uploaded a wav file into my audition, spent a lot of time editing down the audio yesterday. I saved the file onto my desktop and opening the file today, the waveform is missing. The entire file is blank. It looks as though I haven't done anything in this file. Please help!
Hello all, I've searched through the posts and can't find an answer to my problem. I have a VST plug in that I use (Manley mu stereo limiter) and when I use it on my mixed down stereo project, it shifts the timeline ever so slightly, so I have one channel a bit ahead of the other channel which you can hear vividly. The track sounds fine with the Adobe dynamic effects and keeps the timeline perfect, but can't seem to make the VST plugin work. I have a screen capture below that show what happens to the stereo tracks after I use the plug in. You can see one channel preceeds the other. Jim
Audition 24.4.1.3Windows 11 - 23H2Intel 13980HX64GB Ram This isn't likely an Audition problem, but I'm hoping maybe someone has some insights to share here. Our team got 5 new Asus ProArt laptops (H7604JI). On every single one of them, if you start a recording in Audition, the playhead will stutter along, jumping up the timeline every second or so, but nothing will be recorded. But as soon as you pass some audio through the speakers, Audition will record perfectly fine. It doesn't even have to be an audio file. If you just drag the volume slider on the Windows taskbar so you get the Windows "ping" sound, then that's enough. I have tried changing the recording settings, tried the internal microphone as well as a USB mic (Shure MV7) and got the same results. You can see the issue in the attached video. I didn't include the microphone recording in OBS so that there was sure to be no conflict, but you'll see the playhead stutter, then hear the windows system sound,
