I'm sure that this must be very basic, and I don't recall ever having encountered this in prior releases of Audition, but I'm currently not finding a way to specify different input and output audio devices in Audition CC 2017. Here is what I'm encountering. When I go to Edit -> Preferences -> Audio Hardware, I see that the microphone I want to use is there --However, I do not see a way to add a second hardware item for output. Clicking on Device does not have an option to add another device, and I can't see a way to do it with any of the other dialog boxes. In Audio Channel Mapping is the only area within Audition that I've been able to find so far that addresses different input and output audio devices, but both reference my microphone, and there does not appear to be an option to edit them --Left to my own devices, I'm not able to figure this one out, and since my output is trying to play through my microphone, I have no audible playback of my sound tracks. In o
I have Adobe Audition CS6. I use Effects >Generate Tones to create tones that I use for audio bench testing. I discovered that Audition automatically dithers all 16 bit generated tones rather than generating them as non-dithered tones. I had to use another DAW software program to generate non-dithered 16 bit test tones. I could not find any menu in Audition to generate 16 bit non-dithered tones. I assume that is because no one recording or mastering music tracks in 16 bits would do that in an un-dithered format. My question is, does Audition also automatically dither 24 bit music tracks that are recorded and tones that are generated, or does Audition only dither 16 bit music tracks that are recorded and tones that are generated? Thanks,John Johnson
Under Time and Pitch in Effects I only have Stretch and Pitch, no Pitch Correction. Is Pitch Correction something I can download?Thank you.
Is it only me or is Audition new UI a really too busy. Especially the audio Mixer. What is the purpose of the many dozen horizontal lines in the mixer channels. It dis tracting and painful to my eyes. The same goes to that flat UI. It's about ime Adobe gives us a usable and user friendly interface.
It happens to have a very long recordings where misplaced cables created a continuous high frequency cracks buzz or whatever sound it is, impossible to clean with noise reduction, noth filters or other techniques I would much appreciate if you can help actually to perform the job. I have small small but not sure how can I upload it
Sorry this is probably user error but here goes. (Audition CC 2017.1 release Build 10.1.0.174 iMac Late 2009 2.66 GHz Intel Core i5 16GB ram Graphics: ATI Radeon HD 4850 512 Core Audio stock sound card playback through built in output)I have a WAV file 48kHz, 24 bit TC that is a 6 channel iso record from a Sound Devices 664 field mixer/recorder that loads and shows me all 6 tracks in Waveform but in Multitrack there is no display and no audio although the playhead moves. We have tried to load this on another mac machine and also two different Windows machines all with the same result.Audition CC Audio Hardware is:Device Class: Core AudioDefault Input: Soundflower (2ch) ( I also tried built in input but same result)Default Output: Built In OutputMaster Clock: Out: Built In OutputClock Source: Not AvailableI/O Buffer Size: 521Sample Rate: 48000any help is very appreciated!!!
Please, please, please add a feature to be able to route audio from other applications (Skype, Quicktime, Facetime, etc.) so that these may be recorded in a multitrack session. It's ludicrous to have to purchase another application to accomplish this! Thoughts, Adobe?
I'm trying to compress a 34 second commercial into 30. For some reason, it changing my pitch real high.
Hope that someone can help me with this!I work with my Mas OS (Now on Sierra), Audition and my Duet from Apogee Hardware since 2 years now. No Problems until this last week. Now my Duet disconnect during session. It might be a Buffer size problems.. But I changed nothing in my preferences.I confess, I continue to learn editing so maybe it's easy to fix, but your help may save my day!The problem also seem to start as the moment I update mu Audition to C.S.7I am french so sorry for the grammar mistakes and if you speak french don't hesitate to answer in my language 😉Nathalie
So I'm having trouble trying to route my audio in (what seems like) a simple way.I just want to play an instrumental in one track and record my voice into a second track while listening to the first one. However, whenever I record into the second track, Audition records not only the signal from my microphone, but also records the sound from the first track, leaving me no isolated vocals that I can work on independently. I have a small Behringer 2-in 2-out USB interface. I've been able to easily accomplish this simple action on FL Studio, but I want to record my vocals into Audition first. Any ideas?

Hello,I just got a Lenovo Ideapad 300 a week ago. I downloaded Audition CC. I was using it earlier today without any problems. However, as I was editing it, the recording sound distortedly old. What I can do to fix this issue?
Hello,I didn't have this problem before on a Windows 10 Laptop, but now I do. When I recorded my voice, it sounded all right. But when I came back to edit it, it sounded choppy. Now I did update my sound driver, but that doesn't solve the issue as to why the levels are choppy in Audition. I did try to also be away from the mic, but the levels are low. How do I fix this?
I thought I posted this earlier but...Is there a way to zoom to a specific resolution in at the playhead in Audition? I'd like to save a shortut fcor this.
Hello I have come across an issue in the latest version of Audition CC 10.1 When I attempt to export my multitrack mixdown to MP3 on a timed selection (After hitting IN and OUT points on the track) the file created comes out as a random length. This also happens even when I export to mp3 as a selected track. For example:My original track is 1.06:34 (hr/min/sec). I have chopped it up in multitrack mode and created an IN and OUT timed selection ready for export this is 0.37.51 (hr/min/sec). When I go and check my exported Mp3 file the length is 1:23.00 (hr/min/sec). There is just loads of silence on the end of the clip. I have checked that there are no other tracks floating around at the end of my multitrack, I have tried exporting a different file type eg. WAV and it works fine- references the IN and OUT timed section. So this is only on MP3.Tried it on a different computer (one mac, one PC) same issue. Can anyone help?
Whenever I try dynamic linking a 6 minute and 50-second file from Premiere Pro CC (2017.1.1) to Audition (2017.1.1), Audition launches and then after approximately 10 seconds crashes. I've tried launching both programs separately while clearing cache (Shift-Alt) and the problem is still there.I'm running Windows 10 on an i7-7700K @ 4.20GHz with 32 GB of RAM.Is dynamic linking functional between Premiere Pro and Audition?
Tengo entendido que no es posible eliminarla al 100%... necesito la pista (así se dice solo a la música?) para que las voces de mis alumnos no se pierdan con las voces de los interpretes del tema elegido para el acto.Desde ya muchas gracias
A few minutes ago, I got the signal that the 10.1.1 update for Audition CC was available. This update fixes critical bugs around Noise Reduction presets, volume keyframes, and Remix functionality, among others. For more details, please read the blog post at May Update for Audition CC 2017.1 | Creative Cloud blog by Adobe or check the Creative Cloud desktop application more updates.
I record track 1 using the computer microphone input as the source. Then arm and record on track 2 while listening to track 1 on headphones. The source for track 2 is the computer microphone. Two problems:1. When recording track 2, the first few seconds of track 1 are silent then suddenly track one can be heard. It is as if the first part of the track is muted although it all plays fine when not also recording on track 2.2. Track two ends up with both what I recorded to track 2 AND track 1 (at somewhat reduced volume). I have verified that the microphone is not picking up sound leaking from the headphones when I am recording track 2.How can I record track 2 while listening to track 1 without track 1 being recorded onto track 2?
How would I copy the pitch of a musical track and apply it to my recorded vocals?
If this thread has already been discussed can somebody please point me in the right direction. When I play back an audio file I recorded on Multitrack, it plays back a little delayed. As I sing over the beat, I am going with the beat but when I play back it seems as if my vocal track is a little behind. Does anyone know how to fix this? I am using a MacBook Pro with a PreSonus AudioBox USB. Thanks!
Hi everyone,I am working on a interview with Premiere pro CC, but there is a loud door squeaking two times in the middle of the conversation. I tried to use many possible effects or noise reducers, but I have no clue how to remove this annoying sound.Does any one have already worked on that particular kind of noise? It may be simple, but sound edition is not my best skill since I've learned it recently. I tried to record the door's noise separately and to remove it with the noise reducer, but it removes a part of the voice with it. I'm desperate Thank you all for you help!
hiclipping audio from wikipediaClipping is a form of waveform distortion that occurs when an amplifier is overdriven and attempts to deliver an output voltage or current beyond its maximum capability. Driving an amplifier into clipping may cause it to output power in excess of its power rating.i have always thought that clipping audio contains a volume above the 0 dBFS1)i have always used diagnostic to fix it , or normalize to 98.8% or 0db to avoid clipping , or i have fixed manually with audition (is the right method)but here there is a sample of clipped audio on soundcloudReflections - Clipped by acondigital | Free Listening on SoundCloud the statistcs of the audio above are and you can see the peakhow do is considered clipped audio ?2)and how can i fix it in the second case?thanks
I tried downloading Audition CC, but when the Creative Cloud app opened up it said Audition CS6. Any way to make sure I get the app I'm wanting?
