My friend randomly sat next to someone on the bus who was involved in assaulting me. He took a video on his iphone to record what they were saying in which they are admitting to the assault. Unfortunately, theres too many other sounds going on to properly hear what the guys are saying. Is there any way to select a particular sound and cancel out the other sounds on adobe audition? I need to get rid of the rattling of the bus and another couple talking. It would be extremely useful to be able to hear what they are saying on the recording as it then can be used as evidence. Thank you 🙂
As requesteed, here is a new thread to hopefully address the freezing issue I'm having that just started in the last month or so. I did my best to follow the directions in the "What to do if Audition keeps crashing" thread. Here is some info I sent to Adobe at 'audbugs@adobe.com': I was not doing anything different from what I normally do.It doesn’t happen after any specific command. It is totally random. After it freezes, clicking anywhere in the Audition screen just makes the screen go white and I get the error Adobe Audition (Not Responding). See attached pic. When I click on the X in the top right corner I get the window saying “Adobe Audition 2020 is not responding. If you close the program you might lose information. Then the choices “close the program” or “Wait for the program to respond.”For system information (which has not changed since the last time I successfully used Audition), I attached a picture (could not find a way to export a file of it in Windows 10). But he

Hello!! I am using Audition 2023, and for some reason some of my tools are greyed out?? I need to use the lasso tool, however I cannot get it to work for whatever reason. If anyone knows how to fix this, let me know!! Heres a screenshot if that helps in any way 🙂
Hi, Conversation of 2 persons recorded in one file. One person is louder, the other quieter. How to equalize it so that each of them is the same sound level? What tools should I use? I used Match Loudness with these settings, but the effect is as shown in the screenshot: Thanks for the feedbackG
Hi guys, I have an issue that is driving me crazy. I am successfully mixing music project that are limited with a brick wall limiter to 0db peak. Each time I export my file, I get a -3db peak output ave file, why. Strangly, upon importing to a new empty multitrack, with fafer and master fader set to 0db, the track (soloed in attached image) peaks at 0db and the master fader shows a -3db peak. How and why is this happening?
Hello Everyone! In Audition, is it possible to record my microphone and desktop audio at the same time?Any help is appreciated.
After I apply Slate Digital effects to my audio file (just voice), Audition gives me an Error Report and "needs to close." 100% of the time. Does anyone know what to do? I have the most recent Audition update, enough RAM, and current drivers.
I'm using Audition CC 2023 and suddenly I can no longer save files as .ulaw. This conversion is REQUIRED by my clients and removing the option is unacceptable. How can I fix this????
Is there a way to spread out lots of clips in a multitrack evenly across the timeline given a set distance between them Thanks

Merci beaucoup !Rose
I was creating Audio programs. I've NEVER played around with multi-track files. I would simply click "New," then choose "Audio."I took a break, and when I came back and tried it again, I got the message "Multitrack session not open. Mixer controls are enabled only when a multitrack session is the active document."I closed all my files and restarted Audio a couple times, but the problem persists. I also double-clicked on an audio file I created earlier, but it didn't open. What do I have to do to create a simple audio file? Thanks.
I'm trying to create a radio sound effect where the volume of the static noise floor follows the peaking of the voice on the radio. Basicaly: when the voice is loud, the static should get louder. When the voice gets soft, the static gets quieter. Is there a way to automate this in Audition? Thanks so much!
When I record (from any mic), it looks like it's starting to record, but nothing shows up but a flat line. No sound. No waveform. I checked all my settings. The right mic is chosen. I checked my Privacy settings on my Mac. Audition has permission to use it. This was never a problem before. Don't know what else to do.
I'm hoping to listen to a 5.1 mix using passive monitors. I have optical cable running from my computer to a receiver. I can play 5.1 material, but not from Adobe Audition. I'm only given 2 channel mapping options. Does anyone have a work-around for this?
I'm running the latest version of audition and any time I try to add any effects, match loudness, or save, it takes a lot longer than it should. I have 32 gigs of ram and a 2tb SSD (Samsung t7). The file I'm trying to edit is just a simple single track .wav file. It's about 13 minutes long as well. When I go to apply the effects, it would take 2 hours. I opened it on another device with only 16 gigs of ram and it ran just fine as it should normally. Not sure what the issue is as I have all of the settings the same as well.
While every other Plug-In works perfectly (Ozone 10 Impact, Ozone EQ etc) when I try to load Ozone 10 Plug-In (Which includes all others) Audition crashes. It used to work ok, i installed some other Plug-Ins (Waves) and from that moment no Ozone 10. I uninstalled everything, reinstalled Audition and only Izotope Plug-Ins but nothing. Anyone having an idea?
I try to open an .mp3 file (that was recorded on an iPad with standard voice recorder app) in Audition. The mp3 works fine in Gmail preview. After trying to open the .mp3 I get this error:Error: Apple AudioToolbox cannot open the specified file. Error Code: 'dta?'How can I solve this and work with the .mp3 in Audition?Audition CC 11.0.2.2Mac OS 10.13.2MacBook Pro 13" Retina Mid 2014
Hello,My PC is still running under Win 8.1-64bits. I would like to install a compatible version of Adobe Audition (maybe AA 11...?). How can I find it please ?Thanks Best regards Lionel
I'm running the latest version of Adobe Audition CC, on Windows 10, 32GB or RAM (which I never come close to using all of), on a machine with an Intel i7 7th generation 4.2Ghz processor. It runs smoothly for most operations I do. Even simple things in Audition are fine. But once I get a big session going with lots of life effects, things really grind to a halt. This is understandable, but I'm wondering if there's something I can to to alleviate the huge lag time I end up getting every time I hit play in a session. It becomes so laggy that it's incredibly frustrating to use. I mean, a 4 or 5 or 6 second delay, every time I want to hit play.I keep all my files on the SSD C: drive. Is that better than a secondary standard HDD?I avoid using effects like Full Reverb and Reverb and others like that coded red. I use almost no VST plugins. What can I do to speed things up? Is my CPU just too slow?Any advice welcome! And I'll answer any probing questions you may have. Thanks, AA community!
Hi, I host a podcast with a friend. Since we live in different cities, everyone sits in front of their own PC at home. Now it often happens during the recording that his or my voice is significantly (!) quieter than the other at the end... Is there the possibility in Audition to synchronize these two different loud speech sources so that the volume is the same ? Preferably in such a way that the quieter volume adapts to the louder. Best regards Stephan
Hi everyone, hope you are well.I'm using Adobe Auditions 2021 with a Presonus Faderport Classic surface controller. I've managed to get all the buttons working but I can't seem to get a footswitch to work as the record function. I'm using a Boss Fs-5U.I want to punch in and out while I'm playing acoustic, so I thought a footswitch to record would be best. Does anyone know why it won't work? Do I need to assign the footswitch to record in Adobe Auditions somehow? Any help would be very much appreciated as I'm starting to lose my mind. Thank you all.Kris
I have been having trouble with my audio hardware Setup settings, I was unable to record and now after I uninstalled ASIO and went back to the windows sound driver I am able to record voice overs in both multitrack and edit modes. THE Problem is I can not hear anything while in Multitrack but hear everything fine in edit mode WHAT AM I MISSING? Win 7 and Adobe Audition 3.0
I quite often use the Batch Process function to convert WAVs to MP3s for radio play.I want to export as 320 Kbps MP3s, but when I go through Export Settings > Change Format Settings to 320 Kbps and run the current batch, the Format Settings keeps defaulting back to 192 Kbps. So, in the following three steps:1. Drag & dropped WAV file into Batch Process window and clicked "Export Settings..."2. I've clicked the "Change..." button next to Format Settings and changed from 192 Kbps to 320 Kbps, then clicked "OK" and clicked the "Run" button in the Batch Process window. This exports the file as a 320 Kbps MP3 and closes the WAV file as wanted.3. I've now opened a new WAV file, dropped it into the Batch Process screen and clicked "Export Settings..." and you can see it's reverted back to 192 Kbps.Audition has remained open this whole time. This is quite annoying and I can't see anywhere else to define the settings as I want it. I'm sure it used to default to the most recently-used setti
