Hi all! I'm a voice actor and I've been using Audition for close to two decades now. Until about a month ago, I was running CS6 on a 2011 iMac that sounded incredible with my Rode AI-1 interface and MXL BCD-1 condenser microphone. I regularly used the "Podcast Voice" filter to clean up and "pop" my audio. It was my bread and butter. I've now upgraded to a 2023 Mac Mini. Still using the Rode and MXL mic. Upgraded to CC because, well I was kind of forced to. However, now when I use the podcast voice filter, the audio (especially the first sentence or two) sound muffled and aren't very dynamic. The rest of the audio eventually "pops" and sounds ok, but it also sounds very digitized at points. It's not at all clear and "punchy" like it was on my old Mac with CS6. Anyone else encounter this? Is there a remedy? Should I adjust settings? Try a different mic/interface setup? Any recommendations welcome as this is my livelihood and I can't have sub-par audio quality.&nb
Hello, I have a issue which I have never had before with Adobe Audition. I'm sure my mic is working correctly, cause I've tried to record on different apps it would record normally and perfectly. With Adobe audition 2020 working on multitrack, the first track where I put the music works fine, but the track where I record my voice seems to record the music again, and my voice feels so distant and lagging on the background of that. I checked the Hardware Audio settings I went on MME where I can select the input and output options (things that I can't do with Wasabi or Asio) and everything seems fine. Can someone help me with this please? (Picture is in Italian software, CODED is my mic)
Hello Adobe Audition community!I hope you're all doing well. I'm currently working on a project involving an old VHS video that I've digitized on my PC. The video and audio are combined into one file, and my goal is to separate the vocals from the instruments in the audio. However, I'm encountering difficulties, particularly when using the audio after editing it in Audition on Moises App.Here's a summary of my situation:I have an old VHS video recorded digitally on my PC.The video and audio are combined into one file.My objectives:Separate the vocals from the instruments in the audio file.Edit the separated audio in Adobe Audition for further enhancement.Utilize the edited audio in Moises App for additional processing.Specific issue:After editing the audio in Adobe Audition and using it in Moises App, the output doesn't meet my expectations. The separation quality seems to degrade, and the extracted instrumental sounds less clear than anticipated.I'm reaching out to this supportive com
I have hundreds of short clips (provided by my client) cut from an original long recording that I have appended in multitrack. I need to re-merge them into a single file but to keep the times & clip names as markers. There must be a record of the beginning & end time references for each clip but I don't know how to find & export this. I could then create a .csv that I could use to create markers that I can import to the merged file.Does anyone know how to do this?
Like PC scp 079 also add a feature to identify tone from audio
When I press the space bar to initiate playback in waveform mode, about half the time it works fine. The other half the time, the playback cursor will start moving right away, as normal, but the audio playback won't start for about half a second, so the cursor and the audio aren't lined up. Is this a known issue? Setting? I searched but couldn't find anything.
Is there an easy way to silence / mute audio ABOVE a certain threshold? I am familiar with AutoGate and removing noise below a certain threshold. My screencapture above shows audio in Premiere Pro but I do have Adobe Audition so I'm hoping this feature exists? If so, what exactly are the steps in Adobe Audition CC 2018?Just in-case you're curious what my use-case is, I have audio of me talking and a screencapture using Camtasia. I want to silence my voice and amplify the underlying audio as much as possible.
Audition can't record system audio, Windows 11, ThinkPad X1 Extreme. What shall I do? The Camtasia screen capture software can record computer audio. Thanks!
So I armed my track was getting ready to record and I got this message.
Hi guys, hopefully someone can help. I have just purchased a new macbook pro and wanted to keep using my focusrite interface for recordings. I kept everything set up just as before, but the only difference to my old laptop is that I now have to run the USB through an adapter due to the latest macbooks only have USB-C ports. Audition recognised that this interface was connected, by name and everything, so I have it set as the default input on the Audio Hardware preferences. However, when I try to record (ensuring the R and I buttons are both clicked on), it isn't receiving any signal. Weirdly, I am able to record fine on Audacity. And the mac itself is getting signal from the mic using this interface... it's just Audition that isn't liking it. I tried loads of things and nothing worked. Has anyone else had issues with adapters and Audition not linking up right? Would appreciate any help or advice. Thanks!
Hello, I have a Rodecaster PRO and Windows with Audition. Rodacaster PRO is set to multi channel. I start a multichannel session in Audition. (now the problem) I only can choose voor 2 mics in Input. What is the problem? Can someone help me? THNX from Holland! M.
We record with multiple cameras which all run with the same timecode. I record multi track audio on audition but i cant get to timecode the recordings. Is there anyway possible to send timecode to Audition?Ed
Hi Audition Users! Not to have too many items in one multitrack session, I've split a live performance into two multitrack sessions. Until now I've exported Multitrack session b as as one complete wave file and added it to Multitrack session a. Is there a possibility to add session b as a multitrack session (separated files and location in the time sequence) into a? Thanks for reading and answering!Best René
My Adobe Audition does not work very well recently. I can not record anything because when i hit play audition either lags and cant hear anything or records but in terrible sound quality (using trust microphone). I have latest version of Adobe Audition. [Mod note: moved to a thread of its own and retitled as it was off-topic where it was.]
One of the things I'm not a big fan of, is currently, Audacity appears to default to Wav, 48k, 24bit when trying to save a new audio file. A suggested improvement would be for some 'Save As Presets' which we can create of our own.So, when saving an audio file using 'Save As', in that popup window there could be an extra drop-down menu with various options, perhaps with some common defaults (320kbps Mp3 and Wav) but also the ability to save your own regularly used ones. I've made a little mock-up (please don't be astounded by my design ability!) lol.
Before everything wass going well but now i have done a reset to Adobe Audition and now the problem has started im uanable to export mp3 filesthis is what i want to export and this is the error that i received, i have already tried to change the destination but still same and i can export files in wav format Please help
just trying to figure out how to get Adobe Audition connected to my mic for me to record. Yet every tutorial video I watch selects the 'Adobe Audition CC' as a menu option. . . & I dont have this? (the button is supposed to be to the left of 'file'? but muy top menu bar just starts with 'File' (followed by Edit, Mutlitrack, etc.) - I am not the best with tech so sry but just feeling frustrated when the things being done in the tutrials are not menu options that I have. sorry if i just need to watch MORE videio turotials 😕😕 Lol; thanks
Hi there!I have updated my Waves Plugins recently to version 13.0. Adobe Audition loads the plugins correctly and it appears in the menu, but when set a Waves Plugin nothing happens. Well, so I did update Adobe Audition 2021 and install Adobe Audition 2022. I did try again but only the waves icon appears and nothing more. The last attemp will be uninstall al the Adobe Audition versions and I am gonna install the new 2022 version. I have reported to Waves Company too. Best and T.I.AJuan
Hi guys, having trouble with Waves tune. for starters when i first used the plugin on my main vocal track it appeared i was hearing 2 voices, the corrected and uncorrected pitches, giving an unwanted chorus effect. I fixed that by sending my vocals to a bus and having the waves tune plugin as an effect on that track. During playback everything sounds fine and the bus is being sent to the master. however when rendered its like Waves plugin was never there, it doesn't apply the corrections to the vocals like it does in the multi-track session. Even exporting the bus as a stem doesn't apply the corrections. how can i get waves tune to render my vocals correctly?
Hi guys! I have some old audio books and I did my best to restore them. I used those tools: declipper was used twice. Sounds better than an original, at least I hope so. Any ideas or advices for me? 🙂
Well i cant seem to find a way to edit a duplicated track after coping and pasting on mulitrack, without chanigng the original track.Ive been trying to search a way to do this cuzz i dont want to recorde another track just for this cause ;(
I have had a ongoing problem with getting my playback during a stereo imagery session For one I can't get my background vocals remaining and deleting lead vocal only. My adaobe works sometimes and sometimes it don't. The playback before I process the session does not sound like the mp3 It should play and sound exactly like the cd or mp3 I am recording on stereo imagery. Can anyone help ??
This may be an obvious one: In a multitrack session, if I render time stretched clips, it's not possible to save that, right? When I next reopen the file, it starts "applying stretch" immediately, and I'm out 20 minutes. I'm guessing I should be waiting on the render until the very last step before exporting (in my case, as an OMF)? Also, I have a sense that rendering my time stretched clips might shorten how long it takes to export an OMF, but maybe I'm wrong on that? Thanks for your help!
Greetings! I hope all is well with everyone. I'm having some issues with getting Audition to successfully export an OMF. This has been a long-running issue, but each time I resolve a hardware limitation or configuration issue, a new one appears. I'm on a Windows 10 computer with an older processor, 16 GB of memory, a small boot SSD, and a couple larger HHD's. I've moved the disk cache and media cache to the 2 TB HDD (which is mostly empty). Audition is installed on one of the HDD drives, if that matters. I attached a screenshot of my cache settings, in case I woefully misunderstood anything. My current problem is that during an OMF export, I still end up with enough temporary files on my C:\Users\Name\AppData\Adobe to fill up the drive, stopping the export and/or crashing Audition. I know having a 256 GB boot drive is asking for trouble at this point, but is there anyway that I can get Audition to just leave that drive alone, short of moving AppData somewhere else? Thanks so m
Hello! I have recently joined a team to produce podcasts and I would like a feature in Audition where we can all work together on the same project at the same time. This would be similar to the collaborative features of Premire Pro and would greatly streamline our workflow by allowing us to continue to edit the same file without having to save and re-download each time.Thank you.
