Is there a way to do this? I hit export, and it defaults to the last project I was working on. I mean it's just a few clicks, but is there a way to get it to relatively export? I'm on windows, i haven't tested this on my mac, but i feel like this would be default behavior and i'm just checking I'm not doing something dumb in my setup.
I'm so frustrated. For the second time since January, I've reached out to Adobe support when Audition (current version 22.6) has stopped playing only what's in a selection in the editor. This time I waited for months to resolve the issue, hoping an update would fix it (it didn't), but also hoping not to lose all my customization settings like I did the first time when the support agent told me the only way to fix the problem was to reinstall Audition. It also takes FOREVER to work with support, and I haven't had the time. Today, I had some time and decided to address it. The agent again told me the only option was to reinstall, and when I asked if there was any other way, because I didn't want to lose my customizations again, he said to try rolling back to a previous version. I did. And all my stuff is gone. He told me to look for a prefences folder in Documents>Adobe>Audition 22.5 (I'm using Windows 10 Home). I don't have that folder. I have Documents.Adobe>Aud
Hello all,Here is a topic that comes up periodically for me. I sometimes have to record interviews in a crowded bar or restaurant. I am familiar with how to minimize a hum or buzz through adaptive noise filtering or noise reduction. However when I try to filter in this way on a file with lots of background chatter it makes things much "tinny-er" than usual.Does anyone have a suggestion for ways to minimize the distraction of background chatter in these situations? A specific filtering profile or EQ that works best for you? Many thanks!
In Audition is there a way to lower all mixer faders at the same time and still keeping the individual levels the same? thanks
Hello all,I seem to have de-selected a function that I relay on quite heavily and now can't figure out how to retrieve it.Specifically, I used to have a window that would allow me to highlight a portion of audio within a track and then see the duration of the highlighted portion. ie. if I wanted to highlight and delete exactly 2 seconds, I could see that at the bottom of the edit window. Now, its gone. Any idea where I go to get that window back? Many thanks!-Adam
Hi! I have a brand new Lenovo Thinkcentre M80q gen3 with Windows 11. Using a Steinberg ur-44 sound card, but Audition is unstable when I record. It stops in the middle of recording. It may vary over time. It can take 30 minutes or 2 hours. This happens on both my computers. Have 2 exactly the same. Now I have gone back to Windows 7, it works fine there. Can anyone help?
I've got a presonus audio box, and for some reason, it plays audio back regularly in the left side. The right side is VERY quiet. It records it perfectly fine, but It refuses to play back properly. I've tried messing with my channel mapping, changing from stereo to mono, and looked for countless other solutions, and nothing. Any help? I know It's something in AA because everything else works fine.
Hello. When I try to export from Audition to Premiere it is greyed out. How do I fix this? I've tried clicking from waveform to multitrack and that didn't work. Also, I noticed when I switched over to multitrack, my audio was not there, like it is in waveform. I updated all apps today. I'm new at Audition and Premiere. Thanks.
I'd like to route the output of a clip's (or track's) Echo/Reverb effects through an equalizer in order to remove bass and treble from the effect signal. The original signal I want to be left untouched by the equalizer. The routing I'd like to apply is similar to the following: How can I do this?
Hi All, I exported a 35 min. podcast, and it took about 1 min. to export, and was about 56mb. I went back and tweaked a few things, tried to export it again. Now it's taking 25 min. to export, and the file is 1Gb. I reduced it to 16 bit. I don't know what's going on...
I recorded an interview using a rhodecaster. In garageband it separatedthe tracks. In audition it brought all the voices in as one track. Can anyone tell me where I went wrong?
Hei!
I have made many 30 minute programmes using Audition, going back to CS6, and earlier. They usually use 6-8 tracks of Multitrack, with typically less than 10 music clips and a similar number of voice clips on each track, on average. I have never previously experienced any siginificant delays from the interface (eg waiting for the volume envelope to move when I click and drag it, or moving the time cursor to a different point on the timeline. I am now using a far more powerful pc than I was until last year, but I am getting 5" delays in the programme catching up with me. The only difference in the programmes is there are far more edits dividing up the clips on each track, eg c500 starts and ends of clips in each track (c.f. say, 20 previously). Could this alone be making the programme so sluggish? (It's really slowing my workrate! 😞 )Current PC:- 11th gen i5 @3.9GHz; 32Gb RAM; M.2 disc; game-rated GPU RTX 3060Task Manager says pc is barely ticking over.Inf
Hi guys, I'm faced with a problem that has really bugged me down and I'm not sure how to solve it. I have an audio file and I have recorded it on two occasions but there is no sound except for a small part that I have recorded it two days ago. I can see the whole waveform but when I switch to spectral display I only see the part that I have recorded two days ago. I've checked the community here but couldn't find a solution to this problem. Tried several times to change the hardware but without any success. Here is the file uploaded on Google Drive: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1d8D6hhtmIu66Fv812lAUlWJRfj2y-H6_/view?usp=sharing I hope someone will be able to help in this matter.
Every time I press record on AA 1.5 I get message exterior error, never used to do that
I have a new computer with Windows 11 and the latest version of Adobe Audition and the playback sound is muffled. Is there any way this can be fixed OR is it a Windows issue? I have updated the latest drives, but that did not help.
You should be able to hear the difference. The video speaks for itself, but what is the reason why my phone can record better audio than Adobe Audition? Earphone: Sennheiser CX 80SPhone: Samsung J7 ProLaptop: ASUS X515JFI believe it's something about my gear instead of the software because any other recording software gives more or less the same result. You can hear some noise with the mobile recording, but it gives a crispy result if I sample and delete all the noise. But this method just deteriorates the other recording. And no, I'm sure I use my earphones' mic to record instead of the laptop's built-in mic.
I was interviewing someone with a wireless mic. There was a really loud band behind us and the audio came back with a lot of distortion with the voice. Some had this crackling sound. I have uploaded the example. Please help.
Hi. In premiere Pro there is a shorcut/mode in the audio track mixer (Toggle control surface mixer mode) that allow to use the fader of my hardware control surface to adjust the gain of the individual clips in the timeline. With that option/shortcut I can switch from controling the track level with the fader to controlling the individual audio clip gain at the current playhead position. I'm actually mixing in Audition and I'm really missing this feature. Is it possible to do that in some way in audition? Controlling the clip gain via my external control surface? Thanks in advance for the cue.
I'm using Audition to convert CD tracks to wav's. I have a text file containing the filenames I want them to have, but have no clue how to format this data in a way that Audition will accept (via the "Import Markers from File" feature). Curiously, I tried exporting the default marker data to .CSV, (the only option..) thinking it might provide a template for importing and it didn't, it wouldn't recognize its output as import data, leaving me to feel that it could be anything at this point, and pretty irritated that it can't understand its own handwriting. I want to do this with a dozen or so discs, otherwise I would just, you know, manually copy and paste each track title, but I figured, 'since I have a computer.....'
I got my new X-Touch Mini today, and I have to say that I'm very disappointed with how little support Audition and Premiere Pro have for it. For instance, support is limited to Mackie Control (MC) mode, the encoder knobs are limited to panning, and the buttons to their default functions, some of which don't work. This device is relatively inexpensive and is extremely popular with Lightroom Classic users (using the midi2lr plugin). It is unfortunate that the developers couldn't invest a little bit of time to make this device awesome in Audition and Premiere Pro by creating one or more maps for it to make this and other control surfaces as useful as possible. Capture One, for instance, supports full MIDI mapping so you can easily map the controls to any function in their software.
Hi, is it possible to export an AAF from Audition?
I'm trying to make ogg file lighter by reducing the bit depth, but it seems that every time I re-open a file I've saved with the format settings specifically set to 16 bit, it says the bit depth is 32.Is this something related to .ogg itself, or is Audition unable to export it properly? Thanks!
I've been struggling trying to do multitrack editing in Audacity. I LOVE the Accusonus plugins. BUT after downloading Audition and saying, wow! This is more like it. KEYFRAMES!!!! It crashed repeatedly when I was using the pro noise remover plugin from Accusonus. Any workaround or, sigh, back to Audacity?
Can I record multitrack audio in Audition CC on a Mac and edit the project file in Auditon CC on a Windows 10 computer? Are the project files cross compatible?
