Bridge

Hi! I'm trying to rename a batch of images named similar to the following:POS1112_SS26_PHONE_170X300MM.jpgPOS1118_SS26_ARCH_170X300MM.jpgIt's a mix of JPGs and tiffs but they all follow the same layout as above. I only want to remove everything after the first underscore to leave them as-POS1112POS1118I'm aware of regex but sadly don't have a clue where to start with it. Thanks in advance!

Ps 26.10.0Br 1.2.737I use Bridge all the time to do Batch processing via the Tools>Photoshop> Batch menu.After working great all day it has suddenly quit being able to do so and I get the following error - Error: General Photoshop error occurred. This functionality may not be available in this version of Photoshop.I used Time Machine to revert to earlier versions of Ps and Br (this morning, which have been working with), but still I get the error ! I also tried updarting Ps via Creative Cloud. Still same error. It's the first time it's occurred.The Batch works from Ps>File>Automate>Batch  so I know iit must be a bridge error?Please help, I'm in the middle of a project. p.s. I may have fixed it by resetting preferences. I will report back if the problem persists.

I have previously used John Beardsworth's script Set Filename to Metadata which put the file name in the Document Title in File Information.  In Bridge 2020 under Tools, it is not showing up.  I can see the script in the BridgeStartup list.  Is just isn't available.  I just discovered this as I haven't used Photoshop for a while.Has anyone else experienced this problem?I have emailed John about this.Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.  It is a great little script.

Time and time again that Bridge batch renaming is glitching during the naming process, freezing the process and not naming correctly. The files end up named AdobeBridgeBatchRenameTemp1...etc with the intended name stuck on the end of it. Also, preview images flicker "on and off" in the workspace while reviewing images post rename. This continues to happen again and again even after multiple updates but it's not consistent.

It has been years in the making that arm64 is attracting creators like me, a photographer. I have no idea what to do as the first step of my workflow is no longer possible, my file management is all through bridge downloader. I will be using my old unreliable and slow computer to just do DAM, until I snap and abandon adobe creative cloud. Is there ever going to be even a hint besides "were working on it?" Whack.

Hi everyone - I would like to get a PDF guide for Adobe Bridge. I found the web page (https://helpx.adobe.com/au/bridge/user-guide.html) but I can't see where I can save/print. I prefer having a "paper" version beside me while I'm trying to sort out how I can organise my photos. Thanks in advance.

Bonjour,j'ai installé la dernière version de Bridge (15.1.2.737), il a bien récupéré toute ma liste de mots-clés créée dans Bridge CS4 mais la recherche par mots-clés ne fonctionne pas, ça n'affiche "aucun contenu". Quelqu'un peut-il m'aider ?

I'm mostly a still photographer and I use and love Lightroom Classic but I now have grown up to use Canon's R5 and R5C and their RAW video files with a suffix of .CRM.  Canon also has XF-AVC files with a suffix of MXF.  LR Classic doesn't import either of those. So I'm looking for something that can give me some basic house keeping functionality and Bridge seems to do this.  I've used Bridge before LR existed but I don't recall much about it.  Bridge appears to have keywords, collections, etc.  That is really what I'm looking for.  The question is what file formats does it understand? Added sweeteners on top would be the ability to select a set of clips and send them to Premiere Pro as a new project but that is way down on the list.  Right now I'm just looking for a way to keep track of all of my raw footage.

I have been exploring the slideshow feature in Bridge and am not finding any way to add music. Am I right that this is not a feature of the program? When I play my slideshow, I see "Loading High Quality Preview" dialog appearing at the top of the screen with most of the images. What is causing that? 

I notice that keywords are not automatically synced across my various computers.  Will I be able to find images that have the same keyword applied on one computer as on another?  For example: The keyword DOGS has been manually added (not import/export) to COMPUTER A as follows:KEYWORDS- 2025-- ANIMALS--- DOGS The keyword DOGS has been manually added (not import/export) to COMPUTER B as follows:KEYWORDS- 2025-- DOGS I applied the keyword DOGS to IMAGE 3456 on COMPUTER A. Will I find that same image on COMPUTER B?  

Hello,I draw your attention to the slow loading of the preview when scrolling through the previews quickly. This still happens in the new version of Adobe Bridge 14.0.2. Waiting for the preview to load is really annoying. I mean, before the preview is rendered, it's still kind of pixelated. My thumbnails are always cached. This happens even after clearing the cache. It was fine in version 14. I have it ttested. Please really fix do it! it seriously disrupts the speed of processing the order and, above all, it hurts the eyes! I didn't buy a $5000 USD MB to wait for something!Apple M1 Max, 32 RAM, 2 TBLatest Sonoma UpdatesI am sending a sample here. V14.0.0 Works well. previews are sharp and still loaded when browsing.   V14.0.2 They are broken and out of focus when scrolling. always takes time to render.  

September 15, 2025Usuing latgest version of BridgeMac- Montery 12.7.6Shoooting Canon 5d iii file is CR2I opened bridge and was importing Images from an sd card to a folder on San  Disc external hard drive.The images didnt show up in the folder I made.  I attempted to re import them and got the message that they were already there.  I had to close bridge and re open and then aboout half of the showed up.  I attempted to reimport them and they will display.  I have f5 refreshed.  I have cleared Cache, but the images still will not show up.  I know they are the there because ig you try to replace them it says you are duplicating.. Anyone else having this issue or know I fix?K

I have the same problem as a lot of people in that whenever I try to delete or move an image I get the dreaded error message. I have followed the advice in previous posts - changing permissions by unlocking the padlock but when I go back into the 'get info' tab the padlock is on again. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, purged cache but now I am all out of ideas. Please help. I am using Mac Sequoia 15.6.1. I can delet files from Finder but this is not a good option 

I bought a new MAC yesterday (see stats below). this morning before doing anything else on the MAC, I completed  a clean install of Photoshop and Bridge.  -Bridge is not reading the Western Digital external hard drive (EHD). -Photoshop reads the EHD with no problem.I can  import multiple images from the EHD via Script/Load Files into Stack to do focus stacking in PS.  -Even after giving Bridge permission in Security/Privacy in Settings (and rebooting), it still will not read the EHD. The EHD icon shows in the Content window next to the Mac HD, but when I click on the EHD, the message in the window says “No items to display”. I’ve waited several minutes hoping Bridge was needing to read the files.   -Accessing the EHD with PS shows up immediately with folders/files readily accessible.  I had this problem with Bridge 2024 on my 2015 MacBook. I'm running a Mac Studio, using OS Sequoia Version 15.6.1 (software updated today - 14th Sept 25), and using Photoshop CC 26.10.0 adn Bridge 15.1.1.729, both updated 26 days ago. When attempt a batch action from bridge, choosing Tools>Photoshop>Batch, it looks like it is going to work, but nothing happens.  I have tried TIOATIOA to no avail.  Any ideas?? 

Requesting best path to learn how to use Adobe Bridge, had it for years, just never went to it as did all with PSHP . Just saw so much on Bridge of mine, no idea how to put it in PSHP - is that what you do and so ....for me, this is new found fun once I 'get it' (howto) thank you to   anyone out there, kindred spirits in art. CDW.  I want to make a children's book ! 

When I make changes to photos in bridge using camera raw, it only changes it on bridge. I figured this is like any other photo editing application where it also changes the original source image. For example, when I use a photo editing app on my phone like Snapseed, once I make the changes on the app, it'll actually change the original image in my photos. Is it possible to make it so that when I change images on bridge, it also changes the original source images I have on file?

I frequently display a smaller sized preview when checking the balance of the overall image.I think the algorithm for this display has changed since bridge ver. 2023. The attached image is an enlarged screenshot of the preview panel with the smaller size.In ver.2022 and before, when "use software rendering" was checked, the preview was smooth.However, ver.2023 and 2024 have jaggies and are difficult to see. This is especially true for thin objects and objects with high border contrast, such as beards and wires. The problem is that the accuracy is changing between the reduced output and the preview of the same size in bridge.(That's why I used to use this option, but it no longer works and I can't update recent version) I would like a fix.   

Bridge opens .psds in Illustratror even though the file type association is photoshop 2025. psd did open in the photoshp beta version until we deleted the beta. Cheers Steve

Dear Community,  after manually setting InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, and Bridge (all up to date as of 10/9/25) to Europe Prepress 3, Adobe RGB (1998) and Coated Fogra39 (ISO 12647-2:2004) and clicking Apply in Bridge (having selected Europe Prepress 3), no synchronziation happens. After restarting all said applications, InDesign and Bridge say they are synchronized, Illustrator says they aren't, and Photoshop and Acrobat don't say anything. What am I missing here? Thanks!

Hi all, I use Bridge for the first view of my raw files. I rate my files to continue in lightroom later.Normally I love to work with the full screen, but I need the meta data like aperture, shutter speed and the ISO setting. Is it possible to show these datas in the full screen mode? Thx and regards, Moritz
