Bridge

HiI know I've done this in the past but cannot seem to work it out today.I have a series of images "_####_[layercompName].png".  I would like to remove the underscores and numbers.  The underscores removal is easy, but how do I remove the numbers (####) when they are different for each filename?  I would like the end result to be [layercompName].pngThe reason I have these filenames in the first place is that I have run the photoshop script "layer comps to files", and this adds a number sequence prefix.  I have tried to alter the script following various instructions I've found from trawling the internet (this one included How do you remove the number sequence when exporting layer comps to files? CS6. Windows 8.) but without any luck.  So now I'm resorting to batch renaming in Bridge.Thanks!

I mostly use Bridge to preview big tif/psd/psb files, nothing much else.  I have my preview settings maxed out for files sizes and it works fine most of the time.  Sometimes, a few of the files will never preview or stop loading a preview, clearing cache for selections doesn't work (sometimes it will trigger the preview to never load again).  I've tried making dupes, the duped file will act the same.  I've opened the files in PS, made a new file, copied the layers over, the new file will do the same thing.  I'm in a work/photo studio enviroment so these files are flowing through multiple computers before I touch them, but it won't be everything that's from the same shoot/other retoucher or something, it's just seems to happen randomly and it never comes back.I've been dealing with issue for years at this point, over multiple different computers and companies.  It just makes me want to smash my head into the wall sometimes as it's the only thing I really wa

When having two images side by side in review mode (ctrl+b), is it possible to get the magnifying glass to start at the excact same location on both images and have it's movement be identical? I recall in days of yore some Adobe software that did this, but can't for the life of me remember which or when..

Bridge Newbie here!I have several hundred hours of family videos captured over 3 decades, that have been professionally digitised (and therefore don't require much further editing to cut out problem areas, etc.) and are now stored all together in the Cloud in 3 main folders each containing over a dozen files. Most files contain 3 hours of video.What I am hoping to achieve is to create a bunch of key words - e.g. Country, year, activity, family members by name, etc. I will then watch each clip in the preview panel and as the video plays click on keyword(s) that are relevent to that portion of the clip. For example, if my son Peter is on the video from 14m 20s to 16m 5s, then I click 'Peter' on at the start of this segment, and click his name off at the end.My question is this, if I subsequently search for (say) "Peter" + "Italy" + "1997", will all the clips that meet these criteria be correctly filtered, and if I click any clip, will it start playing at the relevent point in the clip?Wh

Win 10...Updated Bridge to 14... In my previous version, I could Clear and Import my hierarchial keyword .txt file and it would bring in a nice keyword setup. But now, when I import that same file, nothing is even remotely correct...  and when I look at the .xml files it is using, one can see the difference... So, after Clear and Import... the .txt file that I've used for years in Bridge... if I go to user\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Bridge 2024 and open up the Adobe Bridge Keywords.xml file, this is what I see (beginning portion) Now here's what that same import of the .txt file imported, should look like... and has always looked like: (I rolled back my update... to Bridge 12... , 2022?) What the ___ is going on! If I look at the xml file in user\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Bridge 2023 I see the same deformed xml file but if I look at user\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Bridge 2022 the xml file is correct)Previous (pre-2023?) Hello. In Bridge is it possible to independently change the Interface Appearance color themes (Set the Brightness of the Work Area) of the different work areas/panes? It seems the only option is to have the entire page either completely Black, 2 shades of Grey, or White. I find the lack of contrast makes quickly reading this window very difficult. (I have CC 2019 using Windows 7 Pro.) Thank you.

Hi, Good morning.I don't know about you, but I feel helpless that the Bridge search isn't working. I've tried with several criteria, searching external and internal disks, searching subfolders and nothing. What's the point of being able to put in Keywords if nothing works afterwards? Any solution for this? Thanks. 

all of a sudden today bridge wont open PSDs in photoshop. All of the image formats now say use explorer settings. Which is just marvelous because my explore settings are to open picture formats in bridge.Not only that, but photoshop isn't even available in the dropdown, meaning I have to manually navigate to photoshop.exe for all my image formats. And about that. Why not group all the sodding picture formats? There is free software that does this. Why am I so cranky? BEcause dear adobe  - this isn't what you'd expect of a billion dollar company, but mostly because its endemic to every bit of software you make, and multiply it by 5 apps and there isn't a week that goes by without trying to fix or workaround a bug like this.

I have a collection of about 600 images. How do I search within only that collection for a particular word in a title? I'd like to open the collection, and search for, for example, all files with "FMC" in the file name. Thanks, Phil

Updated to Sonoma (Macbook Air, M2) and folders no longer open when dragged to the Bridge doc icon except if Bridge is closed. In other words, it will do it once and open Bridge in the process but not again. I have to navigate through the "folder" window after that. What's up? Is there a fix in the works or one people know? JS

Hello, could anyone kindly help me, please? I use Adobe Bridge app, and lately I started having problems with the Photo Downloader app unasked opening, which is increasinly irritating. it pops up a few times while the Bridge is working. I haven't found any Settings on how to turn it off.How to disable or get rid of it (I am planning to keep using the Bridge itself though)?Any help would be greatly appreciated!Thank youAnna

Hi all.I scroll through images and very often I need to expand these stacks and automatically, when you do everything quickly, you need to think whether the photos are collected in a stack or not, since even with the expanded option, numbers are displayed on them, and the expand all option does not always work correctly.This functionality is very inconvenient for me. How to disable auto selection? for ever.

I have thousands of images assigned to collections in Bridge. How do I back up all this work so I can restore it on another laptop? At some point I will get a new laptop and I don't want to have to recreate all this work.  Thank you! 

There appear to be two new issues introduced into the most recent version of Bridge 13.0.4.755 1. Scrolling in the non-content windows is extremely slow, and has been made slower since the last update. It is so slow that I need to click and hold the side slidebar in order to effectively move up and down within the window.2. In the content window, after changing a file name, the tab key doesn't move you to the next file; instead it skips the next file and moves you to the one thereafter.

I can't import any presets from Bridge CC 2023.There's a message:After effects error: Can't import file"XXXX.ffx": unsupported filetype or extension. ( 0::1 )How to fix it??Thanks.Eric R.

I had just powered up my PC (latest release of Windows 11), opened Bridge and started to open the file hierarchy when Windows had a catastrophic failure (blue screen) and shut down.  When it restarted and I tried to open Bridge, it failed (Bridge has sent the details to Adobe) and will not load up.  I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Bridge, but to no avail, it still fails at the same place.Any advice on how to get Bridge working again would be gratefully received. Charlie

When I have multiple images open in the preview window in Bridge and use the loupe to zoom in, the loupes sometimes overlap.  Is there a way to rotate a loupe so that it doesn't overlap with another one?

Been down sick for the last couple of days and spent my awake time working on keywording all our 17,000 plus images in Bridge.  There's lots of "old" italicized keywords that I want to delete but I believe I need to unnattach them from their respective images, correct?  Strangely, when unselecting an italycized keyword, it also unselects the regular keyword that is the same.  My minimal OCD is kicking in hard on all this!  Is there a way of merging these italicized keywords with the same regular keywords? Is there some sort of "rhythym" I'm missing here? 

Hi there, I keep trying to find out how to make sure Bridge and Photoshop work together so I can Have Photoshop available in Bridge drop down tool pallette. I keep re installing versions and I still dont have PS available as a choice in Bride for image sizeing? Help!Also, is it a problem to have more than one version of ps on the system. ie: is that the problem?

I'm a wedding photographer and my second photographer and I sync our camera times right when we begin the day to ensure everything is lined up when I edit the photos later. She shoots with a Nikon Z5. I have an iMac using macOS Big Sur Version 11.31. When I view the file info of my second shooter's files in the Finder on Mac, the creation date shows the correct time that the photos were taken. But in Bridge, when I click "File Info", it incorrectly shows the creation date as an hour later than the photos were actually taken.As I can see on my iMac's Finder, it does show the correct time there. But Bridge is showing that the photos were taken an hour later, which means when I want to sort by date created, the photos don't sync up with my own camera's files. I don't understand why Bridge is showing an incorrect time but my Mac's Finder is showing the correct time. Anyone know how to fix this?

Should I delete Bridge version 13.0.5 and if I do will that affect how my version Bridge 14.0.1 will perform?  I am working with a Windows based computer---i.e. not Apple.  Thank you.

I have Bridge 2020 and a MacBook Pro.  I moved the MyPhotos directory to the iCloud. Now when I'm in Bridge I can't access the photos on the iCloud. I can access them in Photoshop Elements but I want to look of the photos to see if I want to delete any.  Thank you.
