Bridge

Hello! In BRIDGE, all existing keywords always appeared and assigned them to files, thus not creating duplicates. But they no longer appear, only when I select one, and assign it to that image. They are there, I just don't know how to make them visible. Does anyone know how to configure?

I am shooting in Raw/Jpeg and downloading to Bridge.Have tried carrying images to Lightroom, still having issues with "sorting"  Keepers vs discards.In Bridge (version 14.0.1.137) one can sort by file name - this will place images in RAW and JPEG otherwise they will display side by side.  If one wants to see JPEG as the primary sort image, and chooses to delete an image, it does not delete the Raw Image with same file name.  Same result viewing the RAW and deleting it, JPEG then remains. Defeats the purpose of trying to sort and delete image by file name extension.   Chat support offered a URL, but I can not post it here.  Error returns. Posts to this issue and sorting date back years, something that could be helped in an update.Solution to this "issue" would benifit many users.I attempted to follow instructions to place for the team, yet it will not accept my user e-mail/password that is active.Solution would be most appreciated.CTS 

I have been using bridge for months with no issues.  Now, when I open it the preview function has quit working.  If I try to use any of the View options like full screen, slide show, review mode, etc. the program freezes.  I must then use the task manager to close the program. I have tried reinstalling, and the troubleshooting procedures all the way to step 11.Here is the link to the steps I was following.  https://helpx.adobe.com/bridge/kb/troubleshoot-errors-freezes-bridge.html The editing functions still work if I don't try to use any of the View options. Thanks for any suggestions.

Hello Adobe & Community,after selecting all (120) files in a folder and running "batch rename", (sometimes) it needs several attempts to apply correct sequence numbers. Please check my (1, 2 & 3) screenshots and the setting below. After renaming 30K pictures without questioning the results, now I have to go back and investigate each folder...It would be nice if someone could look into this problem. Why is Bridge so terrible ? Nothing seems to work like it used to ? Is is because of issues with Microsoft and NVIDIA ?  Bridge was recently removed from NVIDIA GeForce Experience.  POOF, just disappeared.  What is going on?

About 2 or 3 months ago, Adobe Bridge - Photo downloader slowed to a crawl on my system (Apple Macbook Pro with M1 chip). It takes a ridiculously long time for the thumbnails to generate. Pressing buttons such as UnCheck All, Choose, or Get Media often has no immediate effect (the button will gray out when pressed and nothing happens). For example, it took 16 minutes for photo downloader to generate thumbnails for the 1173 files (most of them basic JPEGs) on an SD card. Is there a fix or a workaround?

More of an annoying inconsistancy than anything, but on Windows, Adobe Bridge 2023 does not display transparency in the thumbnails of CMYK PSD (and perhaps others) files, whereas it does in RGB colourspace versions of those files (See screenshot), with the same alpha channels/transparency. This makes it an extra hassle to clarify whether CMYK versions of specific files have alpha channels or not.

Hey, I've just looked into improving my plugin further and I notice I still get these errors. Boa tarde comunidade, de repente o meu bridge deixou de visualizar thumbnails, seja sob a forma de raw, jpeg... não sei se carreguei em alguma tecla, aconteceu-me de repente. Já procurei informações pela net e nesta comunidade, mas o que encontrei não resolveu o meu problema. Para tentar ser mais esclarecedor, deixo um print screen de como visualizo os meus ficheiros. Neste momento não consigo fazer qualquer selecção com eles, só consigo visualizar de abrir no camera raw. Alguém consegue ajudar-me? Obrigado antecipado!

I am running a 2017 Macbook Pro with Monterey 12.6. Since 2005 I have been able to press Command+alt+shift+i to open the metadata dialogue, and add descriptions, keywords, copyright notices, location info, etc. to groups of images and videos. That option is still available in Photoshop when working on a single file, but it seems to have been removed from Bridge 2023. The metadata and keyword panels that open by default on the lower right of the Bridge 2023 interface are clunky, and add WAY more time to my workflow. Can Adobe please add this function back into Bridge?  Furthermore, I used to be able to press command and select a variety of images unsequentially by dragging my mouse over a few at a time. Now, that function doesn't work, and each mouse click clears the previous selection and selects anew, forcing me to click each image I want individually. The amount of time this adds is very frustrating.  Also, please do something about Bridge crashing

Everything on my computer is on manual update. Bridge, Adobe Updated, my system OS. I've been running Bridge fine for YEARS with no problems. I started editing a few shoots yesterday and have come across 2 errors that I can't resolve: #1: When I rate a file, the thumbnail changes from the image to the white paper. And I can't preview the file anymore. The rate updates (exaomple: changing it from a 1-star to 5-star) and the filename stays the same, but I can no longer see the image. #2: If I select a few files to copy + paste them into a new folder (example: copying them from a "first selects" foler to a "final selects" folder) Bridge pastes them to my desktop. When I try to drag the files from the desktop to the new "final selects" folder it tells me that the file are already there, but I do not see them in bridge or when I view the folder in Finder. I have since updated my entire OS (to Sonoma), I was using Bridge 2022 but have now updated to Bridge 2024, and I have emp

Hey,I'm corrently developing a little CEP-plugin that helps my workflow with Bridge. It is a CEP Panel HTML panel.During development and use I keep noticing that the plugin isn't acting as expected on startup.See video example. When the plugin was "visible" before closing Bridge, it will also load the plugin after startup. But when the Panel is in the background during startup, you can see the localization load, but when it is focussed after startup - the panel is just empty. Hello,I am looking to open muliple windows in Bridge 2023. It used to be under file > new window .Does anyone know where to find this feature? Thanks? 

When I rename a file in Adobe Bridge, the I-cursor blinks in the context at first, but it disappears after a second or two. It appears again when I type a key or click on a spot within the name. I usually count how many times I pressed the arrow key on my keyboard to locate the current location of the I-cursor but it is very inconvenient, especially, when you are trying rename multiple files. Is there anyway that I can prevent the I-cursor from disappearing?

Ciao Adobe Community,  I have created 'Alias' from various RAW files. The issue is that I am unable to see their preview on Bridge. Does anyone had the same problem?I hope it makes sense and that some of you can help me to solve this issue. Thank you so much in advance! 🙂 

Happy that Bridge is being developing from that rudimentary thumbnail viewer it was for not a so long time ago! And lately, because it is possible to have several Bridge windows open. In that there is still a minor problem: Apparently Adobe uses some proprietary technique in Bridge's windows so that e.g. Witch, that is a very nice app for shifting from a window to another, is not functional. Therefore, I need just for Bridge a separate shortcut to shift between windows. For all other programs I can use Witch (except PS). But here is my question: Why cannot I choose Attributes to be shown in Bridge's metadata view when I drop several categories, leaving just some visible? It seems to me that I can choose all other panels at my will but not Attributes. They are not shown. I'm afraid that there are also problems in showing selections that do not comprise the main categories in Bridge preference panel (I didn't test this completely).

After using the new Bridge for about an hour, it started giving me "Not enough RAM" errors.  Task Manager showed Bridge consuming over 25GB of memory.  Bridge would not close.  Tried closing it in Task Manager - no luck.  Closed PS, then Bride closed.  Restarted Bridge, it immediately consumed over 24GB of memory.  I rebooted.  Bridge started out with a reasonable 4GB, but grew to over 25GB within 10 minutes.  I have PS memory max set to 21GB. After 30 minutes or so, the entire PC becomes unusable with less than 1% memory available.  Task Manager won't close Bridge - must reboot. PC:I-7 6800K32GB memoryWindows 10 Pro 19041.672

When i click on a keyword in Bridge keywords pane sometimes it scrolls to the bottom of the list. Sometimes it stays where i've clicked a keyword. I want it to stay at the position where i have clicked because it's time consuming to have to scroll back up to where I left off. Another bug to fix !!

Some of my Bridge keywords were inadvertently moved to be sub keywords. Directions say to pull the keyword down to the bottom of the list of keywords and it will change from a subkeyword to a keyword. This works in Bridge 2023 does not work in 2024. My 2024 version is 14.0.1. Mac OS Ventura 13.6.1.  Please fix this bug !!

Bonjour, lorsque je sélectionne plusieurs photos .jpg pour les renommer en utilisant l'outil "Changement de nom global" (accessble depuis le menu Outils), ce dernier ne fonctionne parfois pas.Je rentre mes champs pour créer les nouveaux noms de fichiers et appuie sur "Renommer" ; puis rien ne se passe.Quelqu'un a-t-il déjà rencontré ce problème ?Merci
