Bridge

Hello--ever since I updated Bridge, when I drag and drop photos inside of the same folder, when I drop them in place the computer inverts the image order. For instance, I drag B1, B2, B3, B4--when I drop them, the program places them in this order: B4, B3, B2, B1. I have never had this issue before. It is driving me insane because I move images to be in chronilogical order for wedding days and this is causing SO much headache and I cannot figure out why. Please help!

This is just a rant but as a professional photo editor I become used to my tools and my workflow and then in their infinite wisdom somebody at Adobe goes and sticks their finger in and mucks everything up. If it ain't broke don't fix it!!!Grrrrr

I often move files to a shared server on Bridge. After the latest update I have found that when I drag a file/folder from my desktop to Bridge, it dissapears from my desktop and I have to re-drag it to my desktop to copy it back to my desktop.  This was not an issue before, I could just drag a file from my desktop to Bridge and it would remain on my desktopp as well as copy to Bridge. 

Hello, Anyone know how to fix this issue? :When I delete a file on Bridge (latest update version 13 000 562) I have to scroll all thumbnails again because screen returns to top of the folder. Thank you 

When I downloaded the new version of bridge I find that after deleting a file which is highlighted the highlighting disappears and does not move to the next thumbnail as it used to do and I have to click the next thumbnail before it will highlight. I can only fix this by reloading an older version. Anyone have a solution please?

So, wie ich es seit Jahren immer mache. Plötzlich geht das nicht mehr. dies ist ein neuer Rechner. Alle Cloud-Apps recht frisch installiert. Since yesterday 1/11/22 after the update the bridge 12 and 13 do not openThey start to open and close straight awayI restarted the computer several timesI uninstalled and reinstalled several times and can't openCan anyone help?

I'm using Bridge on Max OSX Monterey (up to date version as of Dec 7 2021) and the import dialog works nicely EXCEPT it imports everything on my SD card on my camera, including TONS of duplicates from imports that have already taken place. I don't delete my files from my SD card until the card is nearly full.  Its a simple effective backup in case something happens to the imports before they are stored in the cloud. But the impact of this is that everything I import from today's shoot is fine but the software also re-imports everything I shot yesterday and already imported. I'd like to keep my workflow simple and effective, and toggle the ability to not import files that have alraedy been imported.  But I cannot find this option in Bridge and the import dialog box.

Hi there, I just got a lovely new shiny Macbook Pro with M1 chip and have opened Bridge for the first time to organise a large amount of files. I'm running Monterey Public Beta but don't imagine that should make such a difference to slow things down to the extent that they are. My drive is pretty much empty, with just about a thousand jpegs in a folder that need reorienting, rejecting and renaming—should be pretty simple. Bridge is excruciatingly slow though. It takes ages to load the preview for all the images when I open that folder, and when I reject or reorient an image, it takes about 5 seconds for it to take effect and for it to load a new preview. The delay for loading is just a little too long for it to be workable. Should it really be this slow for just organising a few jpegs? The macbook is a fresh install, just downloaded all the adobe apps and haven't meddled in any settings. Is this just the Rosetta translation slowing things down or is something else up? An

I found that new version of Br2023 does not wrap thumbnails. You have to use the bottom bar to see all images.I am sure there is an option to correct that but I cannot find it!Thanks!

I have lost my keywords on the side panel of bridge .  when I search for them in-library-application support-adobe-brige 2020- keywords-xmlThey are there so why arent they coming up in Bridge ?can anyone help and how can i restore them ?thank you

I thought Bridge was supposed to handle the color profile used for all the Adobe family, but when I preview files on Bridge, I have a big shift in color/saturation which is making it really annoying to use (and I don't want to check my files using Photos on Windows for instance even if that one is giving me more accurate colors).Why? I am missing something? I've checked on (old) discussions started about that with no answers, so I decided to start a new topic when I came across this example today which is pretty striking and embarrassing (left and right are the same image - source file in PSD is also a JPEG so no risk of quality loss when saving in final JPEG):

hii have many eps files which dont have embeded thumb preview and no keywords in xmp metadata.i have keywords in txt files which havw same name as eps file.is it possible to use bridge via some script to embed thumb into eps and embed keywords from txt file?see picture for keywords field. thanks 

My brand new Macbook Pro (OS 12.5, 32GB memory, over 1TB available on HD) cannot run a slideshow in Bridge (2023) without issues such as flashing images, briefly repeating image as thumbnail, or complete chaos of static and images flashing. I just had the 7 week old Mac serviced thinking it was hardware but they can't find anything wrong.

When I switch from my custom workspace ('Dave') to Preview and then back to Dave, the preview window shows a vertically-stretched version of the selected image. This only lasts a couple of seconds then reverts to a normal size image. Even more pronounced switching between Dave and Filmstrip (that's stretched horizontally, and also briefly mucks up the screen layout). Screenshots below.This doesn't seem to affect operation at all and like I say only lasts a couple of seconds, but is visually very distracting and certainly doesn't happen in Bridge 2022.Dell XPS 8940 Desktop17-1070016GB ramGeForce RTX 3070

Is it possible to have two keyword panels open simultaneoulsy? I often have more key words to apply than can be displayed, and having to scroll up and down to apply for each image wastes time. Is there a way to have two keyword panels open at the same time, OR make the keyword panel have multiple columns? See attached video for the issue I have.

Hi,I just upgraded to Ventura 13.0 and upgraded Adobe Bridge to recent version, however, there are so far following problems:- when I go through my pictures in full screen mode, the screen keeps flashing, the picture is jumping back and forth, the bright parts of the picture are blicking, like it is unable to get the information of the file properly- labeling - I was used to label (starts - shortcut Command + numbers) in full screen view but its not working now properly - sometimes it labels, sometimes it labels the picture before the one currently opened - it looks like when I give the command (command + 5) Adobe Brigde selects 2 pictures at the same time and labels the firts of them. It is just so frustrating.Please do you have any advice how to fix this?Why upraging must be always so frustrating... Thank you.Renata

The simple 'open new window' action is now a convoluted content panel excerise.  Having followed a number of discussion threads and a tutorial, I am left with, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."I uninstalled 13.0 and will wait until the "open new window" action is restored.

I cannot understand why these kids at Adobe try to fix things that aren't broken.  The new Bridge is a step backwards.  I have used it for many years, but it's time to find another system.  For example, I need towork with TWO Bridge windows open in order to swap or duplicate files between disks - no longer possible.  Another example, I work with 6 folders or 6 files in a layout that works for my photography - but have you tried to get consistency in producing the thumbnail siz that suits you?  It keeps switching back to a random number of horizontal folders/files.  Every time I open a different folder it resets to a random number.  It is infuriating.  The lesson:  DON'T FIX A THING IF IT ISN'T BROKEN.   Is that "kind and respectful" enough?

I just upgraded to Bridge 2023 and while creating or modifying a metadata template it is impossible to edit the description field.The first time I tried I couldn’t even write or paste anything into it; now after rebooting I’m able to paste some text but the field is not responsive as it used to be in the previous versions, so the text is not fully displayed nor editable (see attached).Does anyone have the same problem? This is very disappointing for me not only as a photographer, but also as a teacher: coincidently I have to introduce Bridge and metadata workflow to my students next week, and I’ll have to recommend them to use the previous version, explaining why. I think these embarrassing bugs, occurring almost every time a new version is released, are turning more and more counterproductive and self-defeating for Adobe itself.
