I have rebooted multiple times, uninstalled, reinstalled, installed the beta version, and Bridge is still hanging up at 0% when trying to batch rename and move files.
Bridge freezes up much more often when I'm working offline. Oftentimes, I spend more time restarting Bridge than I do working in it. I believe the program (app) is trying to access the internet for some reason and freezing when it fails to do so. Are there any settings that I can use to help remedy this situation? I have no files stored on any cloud, so this is not the problem. For reference, I am using Windows 11 on a computer with an Intel Core Ultra 9 with 32 Gb RAM. Both Windows and Bridge are both fully updated whenever I am online (at least weekly). The problem occurs when I'm updating metadata, shutting down, opening a file, deleting a file, batch renaming, etc. Usually, the only other apps I have open are Windows File Explorer and Photoshop. Thank you for any suggestions you might have.
Installed Bridge 13.0.1.583 to fix all the navigation issues that Adobe introduced into Bridge with the last major release. That worked, but now the simple task of double-clicking a vector file (tested with .ai or .eps) fails to actually open Illustrator to work on the file. I have to manually open Illustrator then drag the file to open it. I swear I spend more time adjusting my workflows and having to report / monitor issues online than it takes to just work. Please fix. And please get it together. The conitnual breaking of normal features to fix something is beyond frustrating.
Hello, everyone. I have a little problem. I have started using Adobe Bridge for my day to day work cause I can edit faster than Lightroom and send out good edited photos fast as I work in the sports photography field. The software is great but I have noticed that it's patchy. I have a Canon 5D mark III and I usually add a star rating to my good images at any point of the game when there is any small breaks so I cut down on "editing/picking the images" time. The big problem is that in 90% of my shoots the software misses about 5-10 images that has a star on the photo. I put the sd card back in the camera and the star is there but when I plug it back in the computer some photos just doesn't have them and this whole workflow is busted because I lose shots. Is there a fix for this? I might try with a sd card reader if the same thing happens.
It woiuld be great if the list of things one could filter on in Bidge included Type, in addition to star ratings. I often want to display and work with only, e.g. PSD files. Sure I can sort on Type, but when I am scanning through in full screen mode, it's easy to circle through into another Type. Even better would being able to filter on more than one criteria, such as "show all PSD files rated 2 stars and above"
Today I open Bridge and it turns out that I don't have folders in the folder panel. I always had a tree of folders and subfolders, I also saw a preview of my photos there. Now it's gone. A lot of information has been hidden, it takes a lot of patience to find it. What happened? Did changing the system to Tahoe work that way, or the Adobe team can't keep up with Adobe's repair. I will also add that the Bridge application takes a long time to open. I also often receive a message that it has been closed.
I have two folders that I frequently switch between in Adobe Bridge (version 14.1.9). I want each folder to retain its own sort order:Folder A → sorted by Date Modified, most recent firstFolder B → sorted by Filename, ascendingHowever, when I navigate between them using Favorites or the Back arrow, Bridge applies the last-used sort to the new folder instead of keeping the per-folder sort. The folders are geographically far apart in the Folders panel, so scrolling to them each time is difficult. Isn’t this what the Favorites panel was created for?Is there a way to make Bridge respect each folder’s individual sort order when switching like this, without having to manually reapply the sort each time?
As title states couldn't find a clear fix anywhere. Have tried purging cache fresh install etc.Sequoia 15.6 M4 and bridge is up to date
On a recent trip, I used a 16-35mm lens together with a couple of other lenses. Adobe Bridge does not locate images using that lens with either the filter function or the find function. On the metadata of one image using the 16-35 lens which I located myself all the metadate is correct. I have exhausted all online advice which I can find. Anyone know why Bridge won’t locate the lens? Thank you.
I Have an adobe Bridge library that I am working on on Computer #1. I ended up switching to a second device and continuing to work on it exclusively on Computer #2 When I switched back to Computer #1, nothing I had worked on on the second had synced over. I have tried to update the app on both computers, sync the files again, I've restarted both devices, logged out and back into adobe on both. Despite adobe showing that the library on both devices is 'up to date' the items I added on the Computer #2 still only show up on that device, not #1. Additionally, the same Adobe CC account on Computer #2 shows the full library, and adobe CC on Computer #1 only shows what I had worked on on that computer. Does anyone know of a way to re-load manually, or another solution? The odd thing is that when I switched to Computer #2, all the files I had uploaded on Computer #1 showed up on #2, and now the files I added on #2 won't go back to Computer #1. Worth mentioning that the files are updated t
Hi, I'm having an issue with opening PDF files from Bridge. I've been used to just double clicking on the files and they just open but that no longer works (only occasionally). Mostly Adobe will open but not the file. It's really frustrating. I've been using the workaround of 'reveal in finder' and then opening from there but it's not ideal. I'm not sure if this is a bug with Bridge or Acrobat. I've deleted preferences on Bridge, rebooted, checked file association but I'm not having any luck. If any one can help, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks, Jo
I'm trying to process a set of wedding images into jpegs. Doing the same thing I've been doing for the past 20 years but they are not precessing and getting held up in Photoshop. The first folder worked fine last week but then I updated and now it's not working. Hoping to get these images out asap but not sure what to do.
Updated to the latest version although the issues has been around for months.Thumbnail generation: it just lingers inside a folder with raw files and does nothing or takes forever before generating thumbnails even if there are two or three of those. It sometimes hangs when it has to delete a few files.I remember it was very snappy a few years ago and wondering why it got this worse.Does anyone having the same issues? Hints?
When trying to do a Batch Rename, in window that pops up I am unable to select the Rename In Same Folder or Move to Other Folder options.Copy to Other Folder is the only option available to select.Am I missing a setting that got changed or did it get turned off in the latest update? I use this feature quite often (including last week, as in a few days ago) and this is the first time I've had this problem. I'm reading/using the files on an SD card. This is how I've always done it, without issue. I'm running Windows 10 Pro Version 12H2
It's still very difficult to let Adobe Bridge run e.g. the Image Processor or PhotoMerge in the current 'normal' version of Photoshop – not an older (earlier installed) or newer (public beta). Assigning extensions doesn't work, setting the Applications preference doesn't help either, and tweaking the startup scripts easily becomes a mess. Since the use of Public Betas is being stimulated more than ever (due to the many AI improvements), keeping or getting control again over Bridge's application connections is clumsy. Please come up with a sensible and useful solution for this. BTW: I'm on a Mac.
Hi,Bridge by default either shows you the full image (completely zoomed out), or gives you 100% magnification (going up to 800%). This is too big for my purposes. I need to zoom in at about 50%. But I don't know how. My question is if anyone knows how to zoom between 0 and 100% in any preview mode in bridge.Even if I have to mod or add an add-on to Bridge. Or petition Adobe to change it. I really need this for Bridge. Thanks
In grid and thumbnail view it will only ever have photos in the top row and I have to scroll right and left to view them, this has only been happening recently and not sure what's happened. I've re-installed Bridge and this is still happening, please let me know if someone has resolved this!
I seem to have this recurring issue with my Camera Raw Preset Favourites List keeps disappearing. I have to try to remember which ones I've been using, find them among the hundreds I have, and favourite them again. I thought it was an update, but it happened this week without one.Where does Raw save your favourite selection? I can find my Preset List and Ive even tried to create a folder with my Favourites, but it's not showing up.Is there any best practice?
Hi. I'm having trouble searching Bridge for file names. It is extremely inconsistent. Sometimes is doesn't find a file name. Other times, it is only finding some of the files and not others that I know for sure include the word in name. And sometimes it even works. I've tried various ideas I've seen on these forums -- adding non-indexed files, renaming "v36" to "v36_backup" and confirming that my Macbook Pro's "Privacy & Security" tab is allowing Bridge. None have worked. I really need this search function. I have been naming the files of my bird photos religiously with the relevant bird name since I started with Creative Cloud and Bridge a couple months ago. I've been doing the renaming using Bridge. Now when I want to find all photos of a certain bird, most times only a handful of the photos come up, with most or none at all coming up in search. The problem is the same whether I'm searching for the photos on an SD card, my Macbook hard drive or an external HD.One m
Bridge 15.1.0.625 under Windows 11A folder of images that I had previously viewed without any problems suddenly brought up the error: "Unable to multiply transform. GDI status: InvalidParameter". No idea what that means.I had to click OK several times, Bridge displayed several blank thumbnails, then appeared to go back to normal again further down the batch. Team, can you explain what caused this, please?
Hi! I'm trying to rename a batch of images named similar to the following:POS1112_SS26_PHONE_170X300MM.jpgPOS1118_SS26_ARCH_170X300MM.jpgIt's a mix of JPGs and tiffs but they all follow the same layout as above. I only want to remove everything after the first underscore to leave them as-POS1112POS1118I'm aware of regex but sadly don't have a clue where to start with it. Thanks in advance!
Muchas gracias
In Adobe Bridge, I am looking at a collection containing 1116 images. It shows 5 columns in 224 rows. The last row has a single thumbnail. Scrolling to the last row, it is briefly visible. Then, without additional user input, Bridge scrolls the thumbnails up one row. The result is that only the last full row (row 223) is visible. Row 224, containing the single thumbnail, cannot be shown for more than an instant.
Ps 26.10.0Br 1.2.737I use Bridge all the time to do Batch processing via the Tools>Photoshop> Batch menu. After working great all day it has suddenly quit being able to do so and I get the following error - Error: General Photoshop error occurred. This functionality may not be available in this version of Photoshop.I used Time Machine to revert to earlier versions of Ps and Br (this morning, which have been working with), but still I get the error ! I also tried updarting Ps via Creative Cloud. Still same error. It's the first time it's occurred. The Batch works from Ps>File>Automate>Batch so I know iit must be a bridge error? Please help, I'm in the middle of a project. p.s. I may have fixed it by resetting preferences. I will report back if the problem persists.
Often, when I enter metadata, there's a problem writing the metadata. I've tried clearing the cache, restarting, etc., but nothing works. What should I do?
