I know the title sounds strange, I'm still open to suggestions as to how to tackle what I'm trying to do. But basically, I wanted to do a workaround to write metadata for some file types, namely, I wish to add keywords and some notes to audio files or file formats that don't normally support them. And I thought that I could create a file with the same name as the file I'm interested in, but append "-meta" at the end. So I'd do something like:- MyMusicFile.mp3- MyMusicFile-meta.jpg (still checking which file format has the best metadata compatibility). And edit the "-meta" file information accordingly, which works well enough for my purposes. The only issue with this, is that if I make a smart collection that targets the information for the "-meta" files, the non -meta file won't be added (as expected). My idea was that I could add this as a custom script to enhance smart collections, that upon finding a file named "-meta" before the extension, it will look for a file in the
What has caused my Bridge window, regardless of workspace, to appear essentially black (see screenshot)? And why does the name of a recently viewed folder appear in the title bar of this useless window? Is there something I need to reset? Reinstall Bridge? Thanks for a wise answer.Loren
A huge disappointment and a waste of time calculated in days because a basic functionality that does not work in Bridge. I wanted to apply a Copyright on several of my photos which already contained different information in several other fields. So I selected several photos, I applied the Copyright, in the field provided for this purpose and after applying, Bridge deleted all the information that was different from one photo to another, in all the other fields . It is, however, a basic principle. If the information is different, do not delete it, but only do not touch it and apply only the value to be changed only on the field that I have modified. I lost the equivalent of a week of work due to a ridiculous bug in a basic function that Bridge does not support. What disappointment and rage I felt when I saw this silliness of Bridge. I am really angry with Bridge and Adobe for that, which makes me pay for this product, which makes me very efficient all the same.
In allen anderen Bildbetrachtungsprogrammen habe ich ein normales Bild. Das Einstellung muss ich für Adobe ändern?Vielen Dank für Eure Hilfe.Martin
I try to unstall but still cannot open it.
Why did Creative Cloud symbol in appears on upper right-hand corner in Bridge?
Hey there, I attached a video to this post to show you what I mean. I would like to have my content window thats on the right side of the screen to be bigger and show multiple images in multiple rows, like it did when it was smaller. When I pulled to the size I want, it just dont want to show me multiple rows. This is driving me crazy because it is not very fast to just see 10 images at once in comparison to maybe 50 at once do sort them out . SincerleyMatthias
Bonjour. Merci Moved from Using the Community (which is about the forums) to the correct forum... ModTo ask in the forum for your program please start at https://community.adobe.com/
Bridge has started freezing today, not long after loading. Select one or two RAW images, maybe edit one, and then total lock-up of Windows - all frozen and have to re-boot. I can't tell if it's Camera RAW or Bridge that's at fault, but it's always in the image browser that it crashes, not Camera RAW. Loading images individually in Photoshop is fine, it's just through Bridge. I've purged the cache and just updated to 11.02, but it's still doing it, constantly - twelve times today. It hasn't done this for months until today and I haven't changed anything else on the machine.
The "drag and drop" stopped working in the middle of a session. If I try to use the mouse to drag a file in the content window to a different folder, Bridge draws a "selection box" instead of moving the file to a different folder. The same thing happens if I try to drag files into a different order in the content window to prepare for a batch rename. It was working fine then suddenly changed the mouse behavior. So far, I have:- updated to the latest version (11.0.2.123) of Bridge- restarted Windows several times.- uninstalled and reinstalled Bridge (twice) This included a sequence of 1) Uninstall, Run CCleaner, Restart Windows, ReInstall Bridge immediately after restarting.- Verified that the mouse works properly in Windows explorer, Excel, MS Word.- Cleared the Cache in Bridge.- Attempted to use drag and drop in several different folders. This occurs using with files on the main drive, not a removable drive. I am a new user, so it is quite
I use Bridge to download photos, and it mostly works well. But it is very annoying not to be able to reset defaults, so that preferences have to be reset every time photos are downloaded. It was apparently possible to reset defaults in earlier versions but this was eliminated. I complained about this before and apparently they aren't interested in fixing it - I got a rather snotty response from the administrator that if I didn't like Bridge I should use another downloader. This would be very easy to fix if they wanted to.
After updating to Bridge 2021 I can't get it to start. Bridge 2020 won't start either. I can see lots of "AdobeCRDaemon" processes running using Activity monitor. I'm running macOS Mojave 10.14.6. I've tried restart - still the same.
I'm trying to open a photo in Camera Raw (version 13.2) from Bridge (version 11.0.2) by right-clicking on the photo and "open in Camera Raw". I get an error message that says "The Camera Raw module cannot be use. There is no compatibility with this version of Bridge".I can, however, open photoshop from bridge. That's not an issue.Yesterday, I upgrade all (photoshop and bridge). Before that I had no problems of opening images in Camera Raw.Why doesn't it work anymore? On Adobe website it says that Camera Raw (version 13.2) shipped with Bridge (version 11.0.2)....
After updating to 11.0.2 the Filter panel does not show Labels. The setting for Labels is selected in the list of filters but the panel does not show them.I rolled back to 11.0.1 and labels are shown correctly.(I tried to report this as a bug, but there seems to be a bug in Adobe's bug reporting system, so posting here instead)
Just updated bridge and now it will NOT get photos from my canera's card. Lightroom can read the card, butb wantn to open the images in RAW from Bridge.Ant suggestions?
When I move a picture, of any type, from Bridge to Photoshop, and try to use the Super Resolution feature, I get a prompt that say "doe not accept jpeg, tiff, DNG, format. No picture format works. Can anyone explain this? It is frustrating since it is advertised to work with all picture formats.
Using Bridge 11.0.1.109 I usually download images with cable directly connected to my Canon EOS 5D M III and EOS R5 which starts Photo Downloader. I have now bought two different card readers. Using card reader Transcend for my CF card in 5D starts Photo Downloader as usual. But using card reader SanDisk for my CFExpress doesn't. In Finder though I can se the content on the CFExpress card through the card reader, so there is nothing wrong with the connection. How to get Photo Downloader to start when connected to SandDisk car reader with my CFExpress?
I always download photos to Bridge. When I was working on downloading photo files, a pop up box appeared and said something along the lines of, "Would you like Bridge to download removeable content?" and I didn't think much about it and clicked "No". Now Bridge won't recognize my SD cards. Any idea of how I can change this? I don't exactly remember what the pop up said, but I wish I would have screenshotted it now. Any advice would be great, thank you!
I am developing imagery in Adobe Photoshop 22.3.0 and also 21.2.6. When I export PNG files, Bridge is unable to read the sRGB color profile data and lists the PNG file as untagged. If I open my exported PNG file in Photoshop, it reads as untaged. The tag is there (I can see it if I open it using Preview in MacOS, ColorSync Utility in MacOS, and Get Info in MacOS). The only apps that display it wrong are adobe apps. All other non-Adobe apps correctly show the PNG as tagged with sRGB. This appears to be an issue on both Photoshop 2020, Photoshop 2021, Bridge 2021 and Bridge 2020. The issue appears to also affect the image color. The images look markedly different (and incorrect) in Bridge without the sRGB tags as opposed to all other standard viewing methods. I'm looking for ideas here. Currently, my only recourse is to use a different program to preview my images.
1.) I'm unable to uninstall Bridge.2.) Does Bridge automatically install when I update certain apps (ex. Premiere or Photoshop)? If so, is there a way to make it stop automatically installing?
Hello! I've just updated Bridge to 11.0.2.123 and suddenly there's no option to open several photos as layers in Photoshop. Could anyone advise please? Thanks
Hi I just bough a new Nikon D3500 raw files don't open , I just contact adobe support and they wont give me any solution for this , I would like to know if someone got an option to be able to open my files. Thanks a lot I need this urgently
Ever since I started many years ago now, importing my files from the camera / card with Bridge, and using the facility to rename the file to the date and time the image was captured, the file names for rapid fire sequences have not been created in the correct order of capture, and now that my camera is capable of capturing many more a second, the file name sequence disorder is even greater.Using other software to process the images in the true sequence is becoming impossible to get truly accurate results.Surely I can't be the only one struggling and suffering with this, am I missing something obvious, or is this a programming error? Will it be possible for the software to rename files with milliseconds to ensure accurate sequence of files?
I recently updated to 2017 Adobe Bridge, and it was noticeably slower, with lag when scrolling between images using arrow keys, applying ratings etc.It was so bad I downgraded back to 2015 Bridge but now the problem persists in 2015 as well.I am using 2015 Mac (for spec see screenshot)I have more than enough space on my laptop, have reset Bridge and purged cache to no avail. Is there anything I am missing? Thanks
I have tried updating to Bridge 11.01 but every time I do I get error messages (when first opening the new version of Bridge) suggesting I'm not connected to the web (I am) and/or Adobe servers cannot find my subscription details. I've tried working my way through the suggested ways of resolving this problem and none of them work. It's all taking too long – and I have work to do – so I have deleted the new download and reverted to the previous version of Bridge which works absolutely fine. But if Adobe can fix their Bridge 11.01 – or if anyone has a bright idea to get this new update working quickly – I'd be very grateful. Thank you.
