Bridge

Hi, I was processing my images in bridge/camera raw, 130 from more than 300 (using filter) and suddenly the application crashed. The result was that all NEF files disappeared from the folder in my disk and the 130 files filtered appear as xmp. I am working on a Mac pro and no longer have the original files in my camera SD disk. The info in bridge mention no items to show, 131 files hidden. When I try to look in my disk for hidden files two folders appear, .BridgeLabelsAndRatings and .BridgeSort but both blank white. Any help on what happened and ways to hopefully get the originals again? thanks Rui

I did a batch rename of some videos then Bridge crashed. Restarted and did a batch rename of 22 images and it says it went through the motion but none of the images names are changed. why is bridge, my favorite Adobe App now having problems?

Bridge is very slow, taking about a minute to recognize any selection, from thumbnails, to tool bar. If I select anything else in that lag time, it goes to "Not Responding". There have been no software changes, no updates, no changes at all to the system. I have reset the cache, reset the preferences, uninstalled Bridge both with and without keeping preferences. Restarted machine in between each step. Adobe remotely worked in my machine for about 4 hours on Thursday. Still no help. Bridge was fine Wednesday. All other software is running great. Machine is well equipped with i7, 3.4Ghz, 32G ram, running SSD drives. Ideas?

Hello.  I attempted to open Bridge (versions 11.0, 10.11 and 9.1), which has been updated, and in each case the software froze with the message "Not Responding."  I have not seen this behvior before.  I'm on a PC.  Any suggestions?  Thank you

HiI am trying to batch rename files in Bridge - a process I have done thousands of times before, but it is insisting that I use a preset, and that I input a preset name, but when I do hit save the preset name  it just cycles through the process again and won't let me rename (the rename button is greyed out, as are the options to rename in same folder. ) Also, the only option available is to copy to another folder - which I don't want to do.This is the first set of files from a new camera and new SD card. The card was accidentally set to write protect.  Will this be affecting bridge and if so how do I unprotect them and get Bridge to allow me to rename.  It also won't let me append metadata. thank you!

Some images of CR2 files taken by the Canon 5D Mk Iv camera, are displayed in Bridge and Photoshop damaged. This situation only occurs in the Adobe software, because the camera or other software (Example: FastStone Image Viewer) appears correct.If you convert to DNG, the problem remains, with the DNG being damaged. (same as CR2 but in all software).I send the  visualisation problem (Jpg)

I used to be able to process my camera raw images with color correction and lens profile corrections, then when those 7 images were selected in bridge if i dropped my tool menu down i had a "Merge to HDR Pro" option that would then move those image to photoshop and begin the HDR Process were I could make adjustments to the photo before the HDR file was created. Now I am not seeeing my Merge To HDR Pro option under tools. Any ideas? Its really messing with my workflow as I shoot alot of HDR for real estate. 

Just a question for the Bridge Experts.  Does Bridge cache previews of JPEG files, and if so, why?  I mean aren't previews just another JPEG file?

I accidentally deleted a couple images from adobe bridge when trying to get rid of bad photos I took. I have tried to look for help on numerous websites to no avail. I have the newest version of bridge too.

Hello,I prefer using Adobe Bridge and ACR rather than Adobe Lightroom. However, I have noticed that lightroom will save you photos in the cloud and I can access them on my laptop and on my iPhone in the Adobe Lightroom app. Is there a similar cloud backup system for photos in Bridge and its edits?

I updated to Big Sur and Bridge CS6 is now officially dead. I am now stuck with whatever "improvements" Adobe thinks up every few months to the look of the latest Bridge. The most annoying improvement is the heavy black frame around all the thumbnails. I am constant reminded of the heavy eye makeup on Johnny Depp. Is there an option to remove those frames? Thanks.

For some reason, in the past two hours I haven't been able to directly open up a .tiff or .jpg file into Photoshop from Bridge. Just two hours ago I was opening them right into Photoshop. When I right click on an image in Bridge the only option to open a .tiff or .jpg is opening it into Camera Raw first. There is no option to open those file types directly into Photshop. Any clue why this is would happen all of sudden?

I've been shooting Nikon cameras forever and have never had a problem getting photo's directly from the camera using Bridge, until now.  With my Z7, D800, and older cameras Bridge will find the camera quickly and start the download immediately when I click to start.  With my new D850 I am finding mixed results.  The first time I used Bridge with this new camera everything worked as expected.  The next time, Bridge couldn't find the camera.  Sometimes I have to wait a very very long time for Bridge to recognize the camera.  Sometimes (rarely) it works normally.  Restarting the computer first doesn't seem to make a difference.  It has become faster to just remove the card from the camera and plug it into a card reader. This behavior is only happening with the D850.  My other cameras work as expected.  So I wonder if anyone else has experienced this same problem or anyone has a recommendation to try. Thanks,

With previous versions of Bridge you could set a registry key to add an "Open in Adobe Bridge" shortcut to Windows Explorer to open folders in Bridge. For some reason I no longer can see contents of a selected folder... I should be able to select a folder and in the preview pane see what files are in it.

I can't open a file in Bridge by double clicking. I have to go to File...Open. I think my trouble began when I enabled the following : "The Bridge extension "photoshop_v2021" has been added to Bridge. Do you want to enable it now? I am now at Bridge 9.1.0.338 and can't go higher.

I recently realized that Bridge 2020 ... and actually started with Bridge 2019 - randomly can't create previews of EXR (either on win10 xeon machines or win10 ryzen3900 machines). When opening in Photoshop 2020 the files are not able to open - because of an error.My first assumption was, that those files got corrupted somehow during the preview process. But thats not the case...It actually happens randomly - as i tried Bridge on other Computers to create a preview of those EXR and different Files were affected.Than i tried open them in Photoshop CS6 and it worked flawlessly. Saving those EXR is also no problem and finally Bridge 2020 were able to create previews and even Photohop2020 were able to open them.There must some issues with Bridge&Photoshop 2020 and Preview-creation.The Photoshop CS6 is a unpleasant work-around - specially when you have to deal with many images.EXR are Rendering-Results from 3dsmax&corona-render

Hi ?I was search a file from my HDD using Br menu (Edit-find?,  Ctrl+ F) with Keyword,  but I do not know where this file is located in my HDD (E:) How do I know my file location (folder) ? Thank you inadvance.  

Hello, I have an iMac, less than a year old. Bridge and photoshop are running at the same speed as on my 12 year old PC. I have updated my OS to 'Big Sur' as well as all my Adobe software hoping that would speed things up.Now Bridge is not showing some images when browsing the library... sometimes it won't show any images, just blank, black squares. 

Pointer too small and black. How to fix?

Is it? It used to be only in Photoshop in older versions, but now the Place menu has many apps. And Photoshop is last. Can I modify that list? (I'd like to just keep Ps in order to make my work faster as I do it only with keyboard commands).  

Really hoping to find a solution that will allow me to open metadata entered in Bridge to various files as a Excel spreadsheet.Thanks

Since update 2021 my Bridge is unusable.While scrolling throug my photos it crashes and the only way to leave the program is to force a shut down. Most of the times I can manage to use it with the first 6 photos in my directory and then it freezes.Hopefully there will be a solution for this problem, since it is the first time I cannot use Bridge anymore.
