Afterupgrading to V 11.1Bridge is virtually unuasable.1. Bridge unable to perform simple function like Kewording. Will freeze after 2 inputs.2. Open a RAW file in ACR and you have to close Bridge otherwise the system crashes.3. Photoshop and bridge cannot be open at the same time. System freezes4. Any Batch editing process is impossible . eg Batch renamingThere is more but this is a sample of Bridge having no functionality after upgrade.Prior to the upgrade the system ran perfectly!!
Still having snags with everything on PS and Bridge with Big Sur. This time, Big Sur 11.6, seeing what is in a folder on Bridge 11.1.1.185 can take 15 minutes. No logic obvious just when clicking on a folder the screen is blank, until I waste time going to other apps then coming back to Bridge occassionally to see if the files are visible yet. Is it Bridge or Apple? Moving from Using the Community (which is about the forums) to the correct forum... ModTo ask in the forum for your program please start at https://community.adobe.com/
I'm exporting footage in premiere with metadata from dublin core and iptc core extension. When I inspect the raw data of the export in Bridge it's there in all its glory, but doesnt show any of the metadta except some video and audio data which i specified in the premiere export. I dont understand why it doesnt read anything except what I manually input in Bridge; As it literally creates another xmp line with <dc:subject> with the same data as in premiere. Anybody know what is happening?
Hi y'all, New install on a new (well second-hand) iMac and Bridge looks to be having a fisty-cuffs with the graphics card. Have tried changing the settings in Bridge and Camera Raw setting to enable/disable hardware acceleration etc but to no avail. Any thoughts?
any one else getting "Unable to save the raw conversion settings" when opening/editing photos in camera Raw? Also rating tool isn't working. I've had nothing but constant glitches and issues with opening Photoshop and its super low processing and Bridge since updating to Big Sur - totally regret it
I have been having trouble with Bridge ever since I upgraded it to the current version (V11) I work with artwork for books, and so I know the colors on elements on various pages ought to be the same. But in Bridge thumbnails, sometimes one page will look more saturated than another. I did try looking it up and I know it has been discussed as a problem. I keep updating Bridge and it is on the latest version (11.1.1) but the problem keeps persisting. Does anyone know whether there is any actual solution? I also only can roll it back as far as V10.1.1 - Does anyone know if installing this version will get rid of the thumbnail color problem?
Simple question, hopefully, simple yes or no answer. To be clear, when I say write to file, I mean: are the tags/keywords written to the image files so that, when I look for images in folders in Windows Explorer, the tags show up in the details view of those windows.
If you knew how frustrating this is for a graphics designer using Bridge on Mac for browsing assets in huge folders. No, "Date Created" or "Date modified" is not what I'm looking for.Let me explain my situation so you understand. I have an "assets" folder for every client. Several assets folders is just one folder with hundreds and hundreds of files. I add old files to this folder daily. Now if I go to Bridge and try to have the latest added files display in the top - I can't. Am I missing something? I can't "Sort ny date added" Surely this must be an easy fix?
I lost an entire folder and its contents after dragging the folder in Bridge to the favorites column. The contents of the folder are suddenly empty. Can I get the files back somehow? Have sombody a solution, pleas?
In the new update, there is no ways to label my raw images in the sofware. as in example "recjected" or "picked".
Since the introduction of Apples M1 chip Bridge behaves strange. If I try to delete more than 15 pictures Bridge crash. Not once, not twice, not even only three times, but five or six or more times. I have tried to make Adobe notice this, but so far I've not seen any reaction. This, with the combination of Photodownloader being extremely slow – it freezes when reading the pictures on the card. It takes up to five minutes sometimes before I can make changes where the pictures are to be stored, virtually makes Bridge useless for professional use anymore. Even the amateur program Lightroom works faster nowadays. And, why does not Photodownloader remember the last folder used any more. Please, I need a fix for those problems.
Hi all. I do grocery ads, and I have to download lots of product art, and each piece is named for the SKU number, which is typically 25 characters in length. The company I work for only wants to use 5 characters from the name (which are located in the middle), because it's easier to find when placing in InDesign. For example, I want to change:00073105704203_CF__JPEG_3.jpgto70420_CF.jpgI used to use a program that would let me enter a number of characters to delete from a file name, and I could choose to delete them from the front or the back, so I would cut 8 off of the front, then 12 off of the back, and I could click a check box to add a suffix to keep the _CF in the name. Pretty useful when you need 200-300 images in an ad.The problem is that the program doesn't work in Big Sur, and the new version that does is by monthly subscription, and my boss is frugal. Does anyone know if Bridge can do this? I've looked at the Batch Rename, and I can't work out how to do it. Thanks in advance.
When I activate the "Show items from subfolders" option, Bridge doesn't show the thumbnails from the selected folder and its subfolders, but instead shows me thumbnails from one particular folder on an external drive. No matter which folder I had originally selected before, the thumbnails are always the same once I activate "show items from subfolders". The breadcrumb still shows the correct path, but the thumbnails shown are from a completely different drive. I have re-installed Bridge and deleted all preferences – no change. There is also no active Filter or search. Update: I have now purged the cache of the folder which contents were being displayed instead of the selected folder – now "show items from subfolders" yields in a "No items to display" message. Any ideas what could cause this? It's super frustrating, because this is one of the most useful functions in bride...
Found a few people with this issue with no response on the internets, thought I'd come ask here... We're trying to move to a shared cache and completely recreating a 100% preview cache inside of our repo, which is stored on an external drive connected to my computeThe issue I'm having is Bridge hanging up on the cache build on hidden folders. First it was .TemporaryItems and so we deleted that and now it's hanging up on .Trashes. I guess I could delete that too and start over but aren't I going to run into the same issue in the future. Is there a way to tell Bridge to ignore indexing hidden folders for the cache?Gd, I hate this program, but we have too many of us that use it in our workflow for various things.p.s. - Our entire team is running either macOS Catalina up to Big Sur
Good morning.I just ran a batch rename for about 600 images. they renamed correctly, however Bridge deleted the file extension. CNTL+Z did not undo. Any one have ideas why this happened? I duplicated a folder of images and tried to rename those. The same thing happened. This has to be a bug or setting.
Hi I am using Bridge on a Macbook pro with a Retina screen. I usually prepare photos suitable for Instagram (1080px x 1080x). Given that the retina resolution is much higher than that, it is frustrating not to be able to view (Full Screen Preview) upscaled to the max resolution of the screen. Would you please add an option allowing users to choose whether they wish images to be upscaled or not when viewing them in Full Screen Preview. That would be great. ThanksAsh
Would someone kindly advise me how to delete multiple unwanted image files (JPEG/Camera Raw) in Adobe Bridge on a desktop computer running Windows 10 after you have 'starred' the files you want to keep? I used to be able to do this on an IMac, but the keyboard commands for Windows computers are different, and I can't find instructions anywhere online. Many thanks.
I am brand new to this product. I want to be able to edit a photo (crop, sharpen, etc.), then apply keywords. Can I do this inside Bridge, or do I have to go out to edit and back in to apply keywords?
I just replaced my computer (running on macOS Big Sur), and lost my Bridge cache during the transition. I have a pretty extensive directory of RAW images and files sorted into multiple folders. I'm now trying to build a cache of everything so that I can easily navigate between folders and see the content without waiting for it to find the content and generate thumbs. Does anyone have any tips for doing this when the volume is high? I tried going to my main folder which has a few thousand files and it says it's processed 2 files and then seems to get stuck. I've had some success by going to smaller subfolders and working backward, but there are a lot of folders so this isn't really ideal. I would prefer to go into the primary folder and just let it run overnight, but I currently can't do that. Any thoughts?
Hello there How can I change the tags that are in the right panel of the metadata? I need "ID de Asignación" to appear instead of "TransmissionReference" (or Referencia de Transmisión) In the file info window I was able to do it, but not the metadata panel. GraciasAntonio
I’ve installed Bridge on a Mac (OS big sur). My images are stored on an external hard drive via a wifi network. The folder with the images is visible in the favourites section of Bridge. When I click on it I get the message ‘the item could not be mounted’. I’ve made sure that Bridge has full disc access and has access to files and folders. I’ve tried searching ‘how to mount a hard drive’ with no luck. Any assitance is appreciated.
Bridge 8.1 on my old Mac Pro (OS 10.11.6) won't read raw files from my new Sony camera. The computer is too old to upgrade my PS CC (19.1.9). The new DNG converter says it needs OS 10.14 to work. I've been told I can't upgrade the OS any further. What do I do?
I have a PDF that I need to replace the logo on. The problem is I have 200+ logos that I need to individually replace for that same PDF and save it each time as a different file name. Is there a way to do this in automated batches so I don't have to do one by one?
The Camera Raw Profile for the Canon 24-240 lens has an issue with landscape/foliage pictures. In shots with grass, trees and other foliage, Camera Raw has artifacts around the border of the picture. These artifacts do not show up when viewing in camera or when the lens profile is disabled. It happens at all focal lengths and only with foilage shots. This can be easily cropped out, but does appear to be an issue specific to Camera Raw.
