Bridge

I cannot get Bridge to display all the metadata categories I have chosen in Preferences. If Bridge is to be useful, I need to see certain types of BASIC file info about the resources I'm browsing/viewing - like file dimensions and frame rate etc., but I cannot get Bridge to display this most basic and essential of info.  Why is it so hard to configure the app to display the desired info about a file?  Am I missing some basice step? Please help!

Short snippet that will remove duplicate terms in a list. I futzed around with this for a while trying to figure out the proper regex and methods to accomplish this. I start with a list of terms, copy the first to a new array, globally delete, copy the next, and keep going until I'm through all of them. I tried selecting them all and checking the keyword in the keyword paneldu. The clock spins and it seems as if the keyword is checked but then when I check an individual file, the keyword is not checked. Even if I try to assign a keyword to each file one at a time (VERY TEDIOUS), the clock spins and it seems to assign the keyword but then when I go back and check it is no longer assigned. What is going on???Thank you

Or in other words, what causes it to 'lose' the existing cache? Usually it keeps the existing cache from session to session but then sometimes it seems to have 'forgotten' this folder for seemingly no good reason. What is the decision tree here?

I am creating a genealogy book in Photoshop, using Bridge. I am on MacOS Mojave 10.14.6, using Photoshop 22.4.1 and Bridge 11.0.2.123. Batch renaming files in Bridge has converted files from psd to jpg, thus flattening all layers and downsizing from 8.5" x 11" 300mp to  .5" x .4" 300mp, and deleting original psd. I don't know where to start and may not have savvy to solve. 

As the title says my SD cards no longer show up in photo downloader. Mac mini M1 2020

Hi, I am quite new in Bridge. I am using Bridge 2021 in MacOS. I batch renamed several photos keeping them in their folders. I also preserved the original filename. Now I am traying to find them using advanced search. Neither using filename nor preserved filename, I could find those images. But the images are still in the folders when I manually browse them. How can I solve this problem.Thanks

Bloated files that contain “excess” Photoshop DocumentAncestors metadata have been causing a few users some grief (65mb down to 110kb)!   Photoshop saving issue (FILES TOO LARGE)   There is a script for Photoshop to remove this metadata, however as this requires an open/save it is not great for files that contain lossy compression. Bridge is the obvious place to remove this metadata. I have hacked a different script to remove this DocumentAncestor metadata.   I don’t understand why Bridge requires a 2 step process! All this time I thought that the code was bad, when it was “working fine”.   Step 1: Run the Bridge script to remove DocumentAncestors metadata (the file size does not change, when it “should”)   Step 2: Apply a secondary metadata change in Bridge, such as adding/removing a temporary keyword, or rotating clockwise and then rotating back counterclockwise again to “force the image to reset”   The second step for whatever reason will force the file

Hello, I can't enhance anymore in bridge? enhance requires a graphics card with metal support.I use it every day but today...

The only version that works well over network is v11.0.1.109, any version newer than that either hangs when generating previews or takes absurdly long. I have my settings set to "Embedded", "Always Generate", "Transparency" turned off. Running on Windows10 with all my files on a network drive. My workstation has 32GB ram with an AMD Threadripper.  Yes, I try every new itteration with completely fresh everything (using SHFT+CTRL+ALT) and resetting and purging all settings/cache and it either crashes, freezes, or just takes 20min to generate a preview for a file that's 300KB. Going to have to stick with 11.01 still until issue is resolved.  And just to clarify, most of the files I work with are Illustrator files that are lesss than 2MB, there's just a lot in a directory (usually 100-200).

When I want to download photos from my Iphone to my Macbook using Bridge photodownloader only shows a few photos on my Iphone, while there are many more.The only way I can now do it is through airdrop which is very time consuming.How to solve this? 

With all the Subtance integration with creaive cloud shown today, is bridge planning to support 3D files?

I batch-processed a couple of hundred RAW files by copy-pasting settings.Everything worked fine until I went back to the same images to make more changes.Now they won't open in Camera Raw. The wheel is greyed out.I've tried moving them to another folder. Same problem.I do not have this problem with other RAW files.This is driving me nuts.Any help would be appreciated.Thanks!

All old .mov and .mp4 files opening OK in Bridge, but 2 x latest files, 1.mov and 1.mp4, will not open from Bridge in Quicktime Player. When opening from macbook Finder file, they open OK with quicktime player. But trying even saving files to another Bridge folder with a different name and files still will not open from Bridge. When saving file to another Bridge folder, just shows as a blank with the word Exec in it.

I am using Apple Macbook Pro 16" 2019, all my pictures are in Photos application, when I used Bridge before on my Apple Macbook Air it would show all my pictures or albums in preview, and when I clicked I could see the picture in a particular album so that I can select which ones to edit with Photoshop or Lightroom.  Now I can only see the first picture of every album not the rest of them in that album.  It says at the bottom 477 items well I have over 8,000 pictures.  Why is not showing me the rest of them like before?Please help! I don't like exporting pictures to the desktop from Photos and then adding them to Photoshop or Lightroom that's why there is Bridge.

Hi there.I have been experiencing a weird behaviour when importing CR2 photos through Bridge software. After taking new pictures I extract the card from the camera, put it in a card reader in my pc and start the import process from Bridge. If destination folder is C: everything is fine. But if it's my Dropbox folder instead,not all images are imported, some of there are missing,most of times all of them. If I repeat the process again all images are imported correctly. The first time it doesn't work, but the second it does. Don't know why.Things I have tested:-change USB port in my pc for card reader: didn't make any difference.-connect the camera directly to pc and import from Bridge to Dropbox: it worked seamlessly.-copy and paste from camera card to Dropbox folder without using Bridge: it worked seamlessly.Could anybody give me a hand on what's going on?My camera is a CANON EOS 1200D, my card is a SanDisk Extreme Pro 32GB 95MB/s and I'm using a Windows 10 machine.Thank you in advance

Hi, since i updated to 11.0.2.123 on my Desktop Bridge seems extremely faulty and is not displaying thumbnails correctly (thin black border- won't image process to JPEG, just crashes) and it will not apply changes made in camera raw. Is there any reason for this? I have wasted alot of time. While there are no problems with the same files on my lap top running 8.0.1.282, that is not my preferred work space. Any help would be appreciated by myself and my waiting clients, thank you.

This is a first in the 13 years using Bridge. I'm deleting files, and those deleted files are not in the trash.(Mac High Sierra)

Hi!I'm o windows 10 a try to export a JPG with 4 MB to a smaller size - from JPG to JPG. But I always get an error message: "File type not supported".This is how I did it: I rightclick on the image > export in > custom export > same file location, create a unique name, size 1080px / 72dpi. Export panel is open.But the export doesn't start and I get the error message "File type not supported". I cannot believe that JPG ist not supported.Can anyone help, please? 

Transferred my files to a new computer.  Because of the way Win10 works all the folders get new Created dates.  This makes using Smart Collections in Bridge or LrC since there is no Document Type Criteria of Folder.  Bridge must know of the Folder document type since it can be used as a filter.  Why no Document Type Criteria of Folder?  This is critical for me and I will have to keep the old computer just for PS.  And using PS is hte main  reason I got the new computer _ CATCH 22.  How do I submit a request to Adobe to add Document Type of Folder for Collection Criteria?
