Bridge

Since updating to Bridge 2020 I find that the slider will not resize images selceted to preview.  Moving the slider changes the size of the thumbnails in the filmstrip but not the selected image.  Can anyone suggest what I may have set wrongly? 

I’m cleaning up a lot of photos and I want to rename them all using a file naming convention. I want to store the original filename in the metadata so we will be able to find the correct file in case an old filename is referenced. Bridge has the a checkbox ‘Preserve current filename in XMP Metadata’ for that. Problem is, when this is ticked, Bridge also changes the ‘Modifed date’ of the files. This date is very important in our workflow and should not change. Any ideas how to store the original filename in metadata AND preserve the modified date of files? Using Bridge or other software (on mac).

 I downloaded Adobe bridge yesterday but when I right click an image in the main window of Adobe Bridge, the windows pop up menu appears. The only options that I’m offered when I Click ‘Open with’ are Adobe PS CS6 and Elements but no more. I want to access additional photo editors such as Affinity Photo and Qimage Ultimate. Can anybody tell me how to do this?All contributions welcome.CheersWilliam

After saving a JPEG from photoshop into a folder in Finder that image doesn't appear in Bridge's thumbnail view. Images I delete will not disappear from the thumbnail view as well. I have tried restarting Bridge and still no luck. I've also tried leaving the folder and then entering back into with no luck.  I apologize if this is not clear. Let me know and I can try and explain more! I use Bridge to view storyboard files. It's much better than hitting the spacebar in Finder and clicking through. Definitely smoother in Bridge.

Hi, i am a new Bridge user.usage for organising my source files, search tool and updating or creating XMP-sidecars. (first look is promising.)Lot of things to read to understand the posibilities but as start up i am interested in some differences.1) i understand i can make a "sjabloon" a auto fillin template.how can i make it a automated writing and can i make it work for all images i did createalready a xmp for? (Do i need to selected and write all images by hand piece for piece for folder by folder?)I made a sjabloon and  did a multi select images applied the sjabloon.That worked and folder not so much.brings up a other thing: i see sidecars like "dop files" in the folder thumbnails.- can i create "asociated file links" so when i replace a rawfile the dopfile and the XMP-file go with the rawfile?- can i hide the dop files?2) keywords, an other main thing i choose Bridge for.i have hieracical keywords like:"Family" then "my family" (in dutch "Gezin" as in the household) and then

I'm trying to install Adobe Bridge CC since a couple of Days now. Every time I click install in the CC App, it shows "installation failed" after a couple minutes. I tried the solving steps for Error 160 from the Adobe forum, removed the whole Creative Cloud Suite and all its files from my computer and reinstalled everything. All Programs got successfully installed again, but Bridge gives me the same error message again. I've tried removing all apps and creative cloud, tried the cleaner tool and then just reinstalled cloud and Bridge only.  Still won't work.  Can anywone help?

Goodmorning everyone,yesterday I installed Bridge 2020, when I opened it the first time, when asked to access the desktop folder and the documents folder and to the download folder, I mistakenly said no !!! Now I don't know how to fix the error.In the folders there is a prohibition sign, and a white arrow with the tip pointing downwards.Thanks to those who will be able to help me .. I use mac os 10.15

I have got a problem. My files appears twice with a usual name as " dsc_0808.jpeg" and another file which is locked and named "dsc_0808 (2019_09_04 1.......UTC).jpeg. I don´t know how the files have been two and how to deal with them. Who is the main file and what happens if I delete the UTC-file or the other file? What I understand is that this thing appears when choosing "Bildband" in the mainmenu. Can someone please explain this to me? Tommy   [email removed by moderator]    

In Bridge, I can't see my CC Libraries. I've signed in to my Creative Cloud Account but Bridge doesn't show my CC Libraries. It says sign in but when I go to the Help menu I'm logged in. I've tried reboot computer and sign out of CC and sign back on. What takes? Thanks!

Once upon a time in April 2005 Adobe launched a worderful program called Bridge, one of the best features was that it allowed you to label files- my favourite color was red..... It really was the best and fastest wat to edit files (back then "edit" meant choosing the good ones and post production was the other stuff you did to a file) You could plug in an external hard drive, work from the desktop and it all worked the same..Fast forward to 2020 and Adobe have decided that we no longer want to use that wonderful feature for labelling files when you are working from an external drive. There are several tutorials that they tell you to do to fix the problem they caused but these work until you try to re set your workspace back to how it used to be (ie having files open in Camera RAW from Bridge (instead of Photoshop)Initially I thought (naturally) that it was me or my computer that was at faultI know there are thousands of people that use Bridge for the same porpose as I and would really

When I add files to the layout in the Output module the preview of vertical images is stretched horizontally, although the images are saved in the pdf with the correct proportions. Beyond that, all the Output previews in Bridge 2020 look pixelated.Does anyone else have the same problems?

Hello all,(using Bridge 10.0.4 on macbookpro with Mojave)When HW acceleration is enabled in Preference the anti aliasing filter is not applied when pictures are displayed, while the zoom is smooth. When HW acceleration is disabled in Preference (software rendering) the anti aliasing filter is working but the zoom is very very slow. It is working however properly with Bridge CS 5.1 in the same conditions on the same HWMany thanks for any advice(or bug fixing 🙂 )

Hi,uses Bridge to change name on a serie of files that are going to be exported into a database. When I change the file I get a space before the name starts and I can't get rid of it. It looks allright but when I do import the files into the database it doesn't accept the files as there is a space before the name starts. If I try to rename manualy (not possible in the longrun as I have thousands of files to do it on) it doesn't accept it as the name is the same. But it is not! It is a name with and without an extra space.  

Gosh, it's been over a year of struggling and hoping that this bug would be fixed... :  When getting to the Photo Downloader window and Advanced features to download and rename only photos desired, it often comes up with "No Device Detected." I retry, and often retry numerous times. And I make sure to quit and restart both the Downloader and Bridge, reconnect my phone making sure it is "trusted" by my computer... Yet still I end up clicking. and clicking, like a rat trained in some lab experiment to get the reward or prize.   Note: My Adobe apps are kept up to date. My computer runs MacOS MOjave 10.14.6   What is wrong? Is this a problem that Adobe is aware of with a solution one of you can give? If not, can this be prioritized to be solved (I've wasted so much time and the simple "Import from Device" is too primitive and it takes way too much time organizing and renaming files for my photo archive kept from 2007 on...)   {Thread renamed by moderator}  

Hi, I am not sure what I am doing wrong...I am on a Windows 10 PC, using Adobe Bridge 2020. I selected my color settings there (North America Genera; Purpose 2), but it doesn't synchronize with Illustrator. In fact, within the color settings of a document I get the message that my color settings are not synchonized across the cloud and that I need on set it in Bridge. But that's what I thought I did...How can I prompt Bride to synchronize? Thanks so much for any tips you may have.

I downloaded Bridge 2019 and now the drop down menus are not working properly.For example, for the crop tool, there's a drop down menu to choose the crop proportion. When I click on the Crop Tool icon, the drop down menu either fails to appear or it flashes on the screen and disappears before I can make a choice.Same happens to all the drop down menus for the program's commands on top: File - Edit - Image - Layer etc. This has never happened before, and I've been using Bridge since Day One.I hope you have a fix for this. It's impossible to work like this.I have the latest Photoshop and Lightroom versions installed, btw. And am not opening anything in Lightroom or Photoshop first. Running OS 10.12.6 on a Macbook Pro, late 2017.Thanks for your help!

Ok i have this problem, i've got a temporary fix, but that does not really help. I cant open all the Raw images in Camera raw, its just greyed out. I have files from a Nikon D610 wich is quite old and they should work. It actually works on all other photos, but the new images i shot just don't. i moved them now into another old folder with files i have already edited and there i can open them in camera raw, but WTF. Why???I have updated everything, (cc2019!!) camera raw seems to be ok...I’m actually pissed of...

hey, guys. hope everyone is well. this is a topic that has really caused me alot of aggravation. the adobe bridge quick search tool (top right corner) will not allow me to perform a "windows desktop search: computer". let me rephrase, its performs the search however it always yields "no items" as the result. i actually requested help with this problem before and one user suggested i try relocating the cache to a different internal drive and doing so solved the problem that time BUT that isnt working this time. ive tried resetting bridge to its default settings but that doesnt work. i checked my pc settings to make sure windows desktop search is enabled and it is. i uninstalled and re-installed bridge and that didnt help. i also re-indexed my entire pc and that didnt help either. im just at a total loss. this is the most frustrating problem bcuz i used that quick search daily to find items by keyword and i can no longer do that unless i search folder by folder using the other drop down

 Is there a way to batch organize thousands of photos on an external hard drive using Bridge 2020 the same way you can do with Lightroom (Attached Photo) ?I dont have lightroom anymore but I was able to organize and "move" my photos on my external hard drive into folders organized by Year and under each year folders organized by YYYY-MM-DD. Can Adobe Bridge do the same? if yes how?

Der Photo-Downloader (der erst seit einigen Monaten im der CC Suite "eingebaut" ist) interfieriert mit den Canon EOS Utilities, die ich für das bequeme Downloaden von meiner EOS Kameras und für das Benennen der entsprechenden Ordner/Bilddateien gerne benutze. Man kann den Downloader in den Bridge Voreinstellungen aktivieren oder deaktivieren. Wenn ich diesen deaktiviere und den iMac wieder starte, ist das Feld wieder aktiviert – und kann die EOS Utilities blockieren, weil ich im Hintergrund nicht erkennen kann, dass der Downloader wartet:Dies ist offensichtlich ein Fehler!

Hi I just receive an issue. Normally, I will rate my image in Bridge. Once complete rating desired image, I will select only that rating then Drag-n-Drop them to Lightroom Classic which will select only Rated Image. Currently, LR Classic does not select any image which I already rated in Bridge.Anyone face this issue?Thanks 🙂

Using the latest Bridge on a 2015 iMac, 32GB RAM and 10.15.4, and Bridge is usually on the second monitor.I've had a long-standing error previewing grayscale PSDs in Bridge. No problem with RGB or CMYK. Image attached with grayscale on the left and CMYK on the right. Some weird alpha issue, I'm guessing. Problem is consistent whether I use the iMac display on its own, or have the second monitor attached. Same thing with a 2012 MacBook Pro.   Resaved files, purged preview caches and so on. Seems to be a glitch I can't solve on my end.   Anyone else?   {Thread renamed by moderator}
