Bridge

Bridge allows you to edit, or to share to a preset, but there is NO facility to allow a collection of images to be sent to email, in any format.  Nor does it allow you to send it to, or share it with, winzip (inter alia) for compression purposes.      If I am wrong in any of this, and I suspect, and fervently hope I am, then please, by all means, correct me.   [Removed private informations by Moderator.]

As someone who primarily works in either Premiere, After Effects, or Lightroom Classic. I have so far never felt the need to download Bridge. However I gave Bridge a download to try and see if I could organize my library assets: stuff that I catalogue to use again in the future such as finished logos or animations from Illustrator or After Effects, stock footage, music, SFX, overlays, etc. The only issue I've found, is everything is really geared towards photos and documents, which I don't really need when using Lightroom Classic as my primary photo catalogue. Has there been any conversation surrounding being able to add any field into column headers, other than just the 10 or so that's available? For example, I'd love to have a Music workspace with genre, artist, and source. A SFX workspace with duration, source, and rights usage. Any utility that could help improve the cataloging of other media assets. I think the same could apply to what is visible in "Filter". While

When I go to the Output tab to drag RAW photo files into a contact sheet, all my portrait orientation files are warped because the program is fitting them into landscape orientation. The option to flip the thumbnail based on its dimensions is unresponsive. The only solution I came to, when in a time crunch to turn in an assignment, was to convert every single portrait orientation RAW file to TIFF one by one in order to have an acceptable contact sheet.This only start a week or two ago, and I have updated Bridge within that time, but nothing has changed.Is there a simple solution to this issue?

When I hit + or - to zoom in and out of an image all of a sudden the image starts to sloooowly animate up and down in size with the same 100% increments. It still goes up to 200% when I hit + and back to 100% when I hit - but it happens ridiclously slow. The whole process of increase and decrease is animated. It' totally annoying. It started happening after last update 5 days ago. What's up with this? W10. Bridge 10.0.4.157   PS: How do I zoom in and out in smaller incriments than 100%? Why are the images imported from iPhone 7 to Bridge (iMac, High Sierra) bigger size than after importing to Photos? For example JPG picture 3,1MB in Photos = 4,4MB in Bridge. And why are m4v formats converted to MOV (also much bigger size of files after importing via Bridge). Thanks for your reaction.   {Thread renamed by moderator}

When starts the video preview in Bridge (iMac High Sierra, external Sound Blaster RME Babyface) a terrible scratching appears in sound or the sound repeats or I hear a piece of sound of previous video. When I stop the video and re-play it, everything is OK. Can you help me with this problem, please? Thank you.   {Thread renamed by moderator}

I get "The Camera Raw settings could not be applied because there were no Camera Raw files selected or selected files were read only."  I have already tried the following:1.System Preferences--Security&Privacy--Full Disk Access and Accessability Access--Unlock--Add Adobe Bridge and check mark it.2. Photo Info is set to read & write for all three settings.3. I can open an image from my external hard drive files and immediately it opens in Bridge and I can begin editing.  However, when I try to open the same image directly from Bridge I get the above error message. Kit C.

PLEASE HELP I have cs5 and a Mark iii and was opening my RAW files fine for all these years then upgraded to Mark iv and when trying open the RAW files in Bridge or cs5 there is an error message that says: The Photoshop Camera Raw plug in did not recognise the format of one or more of the files. If these files arevfrom a camera you may need to update your version of the photoshop Camera Raw plug in. When I try open in Photoshop the message says: Could not complete your request because the file appears to be from a camera model whixh is not supported by the installed version of camera raw. I have tried to update and now the error messaage comes up for both cameras and all my RAW files I can still open and work on Jpegs Please HELP!  

Hey all, I was wondering where the comments section in the details tab in the properties window of a file shows up in bridge? I've scoured throughthe metadata panel and I can't find it. This is an mp4 file.  

Updated Bridge ... now I cannot resize images using image processor. Its dissapeared!    Under tools I have "process images in photoshop". After selecting images I choose this option. PS does a bit of thinking, then I'm put back into Bridge and nothing happens.   Whats going on?    

Hi Everybody.Have spent a full week reviewing every picture on one of my External Hard Drives in Bridge 2020 v10.0.4.157 to reorganise the directories and remove duplicates . . . . . . . . then the DISASTER . . . . . . "compacting the Cache" in Bridge 2020 appears to have totally destroyed my filing structure on the entire hard disk and removed my conventional alpha-numeric file descriptions and replaced them with an Adobe Bridge type number, e.g. "f365063138.cr2". I CAN NOT NOW SEARCH FOR A FILE BY SIMPLE NAME ! ! ! ! !Any Suggestions Please - - - - - especially from the Adobe Geeks who made the program changes.Brandolino

So about 20 minutes ago, Bridge decided it could no longer open PDF files in Illustrator 2020.  I get the standard "AIRobin cannot open files in the PDF document format" When opening PDFs from Finder, there is no problem. When using Bridge to open PDFs in Illustrator 2019, there is no problem.  I have already manually changed the bridge preferences to use Illustrator instaed of AIRobin, but still no success.

Hi there,sorry for my poor english, but I don't know what else to do. With command save under I saved the current ICC profile in an illustrator document. But it doesn't show in the metadata in Bridge. At "color profile" just stands "without tags". How can I be sure, that the ICC profile is embedded? 

Hi everyone,While Importing, I just want to rename the files in this order (see the added image);from: "orgfilename.ORF" to:  "yyyymmdd_orgfilename_seq_headline_creator.ORF"Advanced renaming is offering the option to do so, but there is no empty space to insert the "headline" or "creator" into the file name.Is this a bug or am I missing something? Thanx EDIT: The Metadate should contain the "headline" and "creator" so these can be read out and added to the filename. But where and when should they have been added? In the Camera? Is there a way to manipulate the metadata during the import (just like photomechanics)?

I just recently downloaded Adobe Bridge to import my photos from my old phone to my pc and i keep getting this error each time i try.how can i stop this?

When Apple released Catalina, I upgraded. That's when ALL my trouble started. PS/Bridge CS6 woud not operate - AT ALL! After a call to Apple Care Technical Support, the solution was to revert back to Mojave. Because the downgrade process failed, my only choice was to re-install Mojave from scratch. So I also had to reinstall PS CS6.   I had been using Dr. Brown's Image Processor Pro prior to the "crash". After downloading Image Processor Pro, neither the downloaded version nor the Bridge version Image Processor would work. Error message: could not find image processor.jsx. This lead me to believe it was time to re-install PS CS6. After Adobe sent me a link to the PS CS6 download because my order was No Longer listed in my History, I began downloading PS CS6. Now Bridge will only recognize earlier .CR2 camera raw files. I'm not sure where the time cut off is but recent raw file only dispay a Bridge icon to represent the file. In addition, the file will not open from Bridge to PS.&n

ACK!  Ok, so I am a photographer, not a computer person.   I'm a single middle aged mom going back to school and my minor is photography..... I am still learning all I can do in CS5....  I just recently noticed my computer slowing down and now I am getting a pop up when I launch Bridge telling me to purge the cache folder in preferences.  First off I don't completely understand what the cache folder is or what it does.Secondly I know enough to know not to trust all popups.... so i need to understand what I lose if I purge the system.Third... what options do I have to fix this problem?Any help in basic untechy simple minded mom terms would be fabulous.  I really need to understand what this cache thing is...and what problems I am going to encounter if I purge it.... and what options I have to stop the pop up but maintain integrity of my files.thanks!!!Jen

Hello,I used Adobe Bridge for metadata only. The program crashes everytime I'm trying to save "file info" window. It opens "file info" box, I can fill all the columns but when I put "ok" or "cancel" (doesn't matter) it always crashes. It started happend after upgrading system on mac to El Capitan. File info in Photoshop CS5 in the same system works fine. Anyone knows how to solve it?Thank you.

Okay, I installed all of the cc2019 updates and Bridge (worked normally on cc2018) started to behave crazy. I mean all works except preview thumbnails. I get some kind of "static interference" pattern instead of previews.I completely uninstalled and reinstalled Photoshop and Bridge to solve the issue but no luck.Computer is iMac Pro 27".On my old iMac 27" (2011) it works normally after the update. Any idea? Thanks!

I recently opened Creative Cloud after a longer time and there was a Adobe Bridge CC update to 2018.Couple of day later my hard disk space is disappearing like mad. I found loads of gigabytes in "C:\Users\myUsername\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Common\Media Cache Files" .I delete it all ;  Open Adobe Bridge CC 2018 ; Click on a folder that has about 4 gb of video files in it ( not doing anything with those files, not even clicking on them with the mouse ) and just watch the  "C:\Users\myUsername\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Common\Media Cache Files"start filling up with 10 gb of some .cfa files and much smaller .ims files. It's actually copying word for word the name of the video files, adding 48000 at the end and making them bigger ( 500 mb mp4 - becomes 1.2 gb .cfa file ).How do i stop this ??? After closing Bridge, those .cfa files are still there, taking up space. In Preferences - Cache  - i don't have anything checkmarked. But that caches location is in  "C:\Users\myUsername

 Rotating scanned 35mm .jpg images in Bridge destroys the Bridge Thumbnail. I am scanning 35mm slide film in .jpg and .tif formats.  Occassionally, I need to rotate an image in Bridge from landscape to portrait and vice versa.  Three times, when I did that, it destroyed the .jpg image by either presenting it totally black, partially black or partially a weird yellow color. It also does not rotate the .jpg image.   This has happened 3 times over sevral days.  It does seem to happen mostly when I am clicking to rotating images quickly and have rotated a series and then try to rotate both the .jpg and .tif file for a single image.  I have a iMac running the latest version of Catalina and am using the updated Bridge 2019 because the Bridge 2020 had bugs in it when first released and I tried to use it. 

Hi for a long time I have used bridge to view raw files and selected them to open PS raw editor before opening in photoshop to finish. My old PC gave up the ghost and I bought a refurbished Dell after which Bridge to photoshop froze and went slow. Thinking this might be because of the performance today I did a PC build with 32 Gb 3000 Ram Gigabyte B450 Mobo Ryzen 5 2600 6 core processor  and Radeon 570 8Gb GPU but this made no difference to the performance at all so I am guessing it is settings somewhere I have updated to the latest version of Bridge and Photoshop  so please help   {Thread renamed by moderator}

When i rename any file, Bridge2020 change it position in sort and i lost focus on this file... So i need scroll back to previos position and select file by mouse to continue renaming next file. Bridge2019 dont have broblem like this. MacOs 10.15.4 Sorry for my English 🙂
