Bridge

I am trying to open images and video from my iphone 10 using bridge.  The icons open but the actual image and video do not. Please advise,   Thanks, Clay H. Wieland [Personal info removed by Mod]  

I use the Bridge Output tab to create custom constant sheets. Is it possible to automate this task so that when the thumbnails in Bridge are selected and a keyboard shortcut invoked, a contact sheet is created bypassing the Output tab (adding the thumbnails to the canvas and export the PDF)? OSX CatalinaBridge CC 2020

Against my better judgement (I've only had bad experiences in the last 2/3 years), I called tech support yesterday to ask how to undo a batch rename in bridge.  Seemingly simple question.  I got bad information that was ostensibly the answer to my question - only to have to wait 30 minutes on the phone to finally hear that one cannot undo that action.  Total waste of time. 

Hi there, I'm experiencing some lag when moving my mouse around in Bridge. I've seen posts from people having similar issues in Illustrator or Photoshop, but for me it only happens in Bridge.When switching to another app the mouse works fine again. It really only happens when Bridge is in front.Using latest versions of all apps, but the bug has been around for some time.(Bridge 10.0.3.138 on MacBook Pro) Thanks for your feedback 🙂Tom

Please, add feature to search files with two or more keywords  

Another problem in Bridge 2020 with Mac OS 10.13.6I have a set of custom keywords that I go through to check keywords to add to each CR.2 photo. In Bridge 2019 below my custom list there is a folder containing Other Keywords that are in italics. In Bridge 2020 now the keywords I have just added to a photo are in italics and mixed in with my custom keyword list. That makes it very hard to find the keywords I want from my custom list.

In the find panel, Bridge gives options for searching under a number of metadata items, but the list is not complete.  In particular, I need to search for a term under sublocation - I can't use the "all metadata" because the term I am searching for is in one of the copyright fields, and ALL of my photos thus have that term in the metadata.  Is there any way to add additional fields to the find panel?

I use my drone for GIS mapping. Because of the limitations of the camera and capture software I am limited to capturing .jpg files. I'm using a PC which still has windows 7. I can upgrade if necessary.I'd like to edit the images in Bridge and/or Lightroom but I need to make sure that the GPS metadata is not affected because the GIS mapping programs rely on the metadata. Which versions of Lightroom and /or Bridge can I use for this purpose?

Can't even get this program to open. When I click...the UX shows for half a second, and then closes out. No uninstalling / reinstalling fixes this, and same issue with version 9.1. Adobe log file provided if needed. This is a work / admin-locked computer, so I'll try to get anymore system info if necessary. 

I want to open Bridge for a demo and have the Home screen blank

Updated to Bridge 2020 and Photoshop 2020. The options in Bridge -> Tools to open multiple selected files in Bridge into Photoshop using a selected Photoshop action is missing. Is there a new work around or new terminology? This was an incredibly usefull tool in Bridge - Photoshop workflow.

I cannot see my .eps and .ai thumbnails as an image in Bridge. I know the ability is there because when I had the creative cloud before it worked. I have reset the preferences at startup.  Cleared the cache as well. I have also went into edit preferences in Bridge to "do not process files larger than" and increased the amount.  Doesn't work.  Nothing seems to work. I have a big library of vector art that I was always able to view in Bridge.   Does anyone have a fix?

I am still waiting for a option 'lenscorrection' Fuji XT-1 with a 23mm 1.4 lens in Bridge (or Lightroom/Photoshop). when can we expact this? Rick  

I used to be able to select specific images from Bridge and import them into Lightroom, but after the latest update all I get is the import box in Lightroom without any images selected. I'd have to manually find them again and import them the classic way. This defeats the purpose of even sorting my images in Bridge and trying to drag them into Lightroom.  Not sure whether this is something that went wrong on the Bridge side, or the Lightroom side but hopefully this gets fixed. Bridge: 10.0.3.138Lightroom: 9.2 Release  Edit: Is anyone able to test this out on the latest versions to verify whether it may be an isolated issue with me?

I have found that siometimes Bridge does not update the file associations page after updating Photoshop.  You click on an image and it will spawn an older version of Photoshop than what you have installed. My question is other then going in and reassociating each file type to the proper application one by one is there some other way to get Bridge to point to the latest version of PS automatically for those file types that it should open?  Manually having to repoint the file types one by one is a lengthy task to do and I have to beleive there is a more elegant solution. Thanks for any solutions - I get this question a lot recently. Mike LeonardFriday Night Photoshop

Yesterday I was trying to use batch rename in Bridge 2020 with Mac OS 10.13.6. Batch rename has always worked previously. Under new filenames, this screen shot shows what I wanted and typed in the first time. Current filename shows what it changed to. Also after I closed batch rename and opened again, the top sequence number opened to 33043 when it should have been 33033. And the lower sequence number opened to 18 instead of 19. I went back to the 2019 version and bridge had changed the file names there to the same ^SEQN^ that looks like HTML rather than the correct numerical. When I tried to rename today I got this in Preview.Then when I rename I get this again.

I have an iMac with 5K screen and I have the Filmstrip layout selected in Bridge. When I click on a thumbnail image, the preview image shows a truncated filename if it's more than 20 characters long. This didn't happen with my old iMac which didn't have the 5K screen. Is this normal or is there a setting that will show the whole filename under the preview image? Thanks

Hallo,ich benutze die Adobe CC, alle Apps sind am aktuellsten Stand unter Windows 10Ich möchte HEIC Dateien in der Bridge 10 bzw. in Photoshop öffnen. In Bridge wird keine Voransicht gezeigt. Wenn ich sie in PS öffnen möchte, bekomme ich folgende Fehlermeldung "Camera Raw unterstützt keine HEIC Dateien und Windows" siehe angehängte Screenshots. (Ich habe Camera RAW Version 12.2.0.386) Ist mir unerklärbar. In Lightroom Classic kann ich besagte Bilder problemlos importieren und anzeigen.Hat vielleicht jemand einen Tipp für mich?Liegrü Gerhard

why adobe bridge creating DAT File (.dat) in Windows 10 / Picture folder, each time a photo is edited ?

When using Bridge 10.0.3.138., avoid to activate the specific folder in Folder menu / in the Folders View Window and mouse click subcommand "remove". Instead of removing a particular folder and its contents, both commands removes/hides somewhere the whole Hard Drive and then You need to reboot the computer to get the HD back in use. Makes definitely no sense at all why this - the commad should be named "Remove the HD" if its meant to work this way. If You choose the icon of a specific folder in the content window and press the trah can, the removal of the specific folder works as should.

I am working through a few older shoots that are on an external hard drive.EVERY TIME Bridge needs to rebuild those previews and I have to wait until it rebuilds the previews.Why does Bridge lose the previews every time? It doesn't to that on a faster SSD drive, only on the older spinning hard drives. 

Bridge often crashes when I change the name for saving. Its not happening every time but often. I have the feeling it hapens mostly when I add a second section in the file naming.
