Hello Support Forum,Recently when using Adobe Bridge I have found it to become unusably slow when it is trying to write any sort of metadata, i.e. tags, labels, star rating or changes made in ACR and my CPU usage jumps straight to 100%. To be clear, actually working on files within ACR is fine but when I attempt to save the changes is when the slow down occurs. At this stage I have:Reinstalled Adobe BridgeUpdated all drivers and softwareDisabled all startup scriptsCompacted the cacheClosed all other unnecessary programs to isolate Adobe BridgeHowever the problem still persists.Any thoughts or help to fix this problem would be greatly appreciated.Computer Specs:Operating System: Windows 10 Home 64-bit (10.0, Build 17134) (17134.rs4_release.180410-1804)Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 2700X Eight-Core ProcessorMemory: 16384MB RAMCard name: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 TiThe RAW files I am working from a Nikon D810 converted to DNGBelow is a screenshot of the CPU usage when trying to tag 20 images with o
What is the current version of Bridge distributed as part of the Creative Cloud suite? On the Adobe web site it says that 9.1 was released in June 2019 but does not indicate if that was applicable to the CC suite. I have one version installed that is 9.03.279. The version that launches from the Adobe Creative Cloud app / launcher is identified as 8.1.0.383. There are no updates indicated for either version I have on my computer. My system is Windows 10. On the start menu I noticed that both Bridge 2018 and 2019 were listed. I presume that 2018 corresponds to the version 8 product and that version 9 corresponds to 2019. I used Windows to delete the 2018 version. Now when I bring up the Creative Cloud app / launcher it shows that Bridge needs to be installed. What gives?Message was edited by: Sahil Chawla

Using Bridge CC 2019 on Windows 7 Professional. When making contact sheets I am using a file path as a header, but when I export to PDF the document is dropping all backslashes and subsequent characters. For example, if I input the header as:P:\Current\168The exported PDF header reads:P:urrent68The only solution I have found thus far is to input double backslashes (P:\\Current\\168) to avoid escape characters, but I don't want to manually add backslashes for every contact sheet as the file paths are quite long and I have many to copy...
The following error occurs when I try to open a Topaz Labs project from Bridge CS6 - although the project does open Topaz studio 2 and does appear there, but in Bridge, I also get the following error.Does anyone know how I can fix this? Thanks for any help!SheilaMessage was edited by: Akash Sharma
I download the files shot on the Sony A6400 camera from a memory card using Adobe Bridge CC Photo Downloader (I will call this the "Downloader" from now on). I check the box "CONVERT TO DNG" before I initiate the download. However, when the files are opened in Adobe Camera RAW and subsequently in Photoshop CC 2019 (latest update) they have not been converted to DNG and remain as an ARW suffixed file. When I am working in PS CC with a ARW file even if I subsequently save the ARW file to another file format such as JPEG, I cannot access my NIK Software via the Photoshop CC Filter Menu download. (PROBLEM #1)However, when I download the files from my Sony A6500 camera (also checking the "CONVERT TO DNG" box), The files open in Camera RAW as DNG files. I can then, when I have the DNG files in Photoshop CC, access the NIK software through the Photoshop Filter Drop down Menu.I realize that the A6400 is a relatively new camera and that the Downloader of Bridge CC 2019 may not be able to r
I have a folder with 1000s of images I'd like to grab the first image to make a thumbnail of.For example, the images are named like this:228837.jpg228837a.jpg228837b.jpg228837c.jpg228837d.jpgI need to figure out a script that would pull the first image (non-alphabetical sequential). In this example, it would be 228837.jpg and would like to select all instances of non-alphabetical sequential and copy it to a folder called "thumbnails".I've been searching and can't seem to figure it out. I would need it to check the active folder I'm in while in Bridge, and then throw into a sub-folder I'd call thumbnails. Any advice?
When I initially open a folder in Bridge (CC 2019) the colors are correct but within a few seconds exhibit an orangish/warmish color cast. The images display correctly in ACR, but reappear in PS and Lightroom. If the images are opened in Elements they are correct. Help please!
I've been using most of the Adobe products for years -- especially Lightroom and Photoshop. However, I've never quite understood the purpose of Bridge. Lightroom (slowly) manages most of my digital assets such as photos and videos, so why would I need Bridge? If I have content in Bridge, I would surely want to use them first in Lighrtoom anytime I ever wanted to do anything with them, so I'd have to open Bridge, move them to Lightroom and them edit them there or move them yet again into Photoshop ------ so why Bridge?I'm sure there's something fundamental that I'm not understanding about Bridge in regards to a healthy work flow. Could anyone help me understand why I would ever want to use Bridge and how I might best include it in a workflow? Thanks!!
I'm trying to organize keywords in a simple hierarchy, with a "title" keyword that's not "active," and then a list of subkeywords under that. For example:Color -Red -White -GreenIn this scenario, I don't want the word "Color" to be assigned to an image.According to the manual, "If you want a parent keyword to be used for structural purposes only, place the keyword in brackets, such as [Names]. Keyords in brackets cannot be added to files."This isn't working for me. At all.Anybody?

Before getting my new PC I'd like to save my Bridge catalog to transfer it in the new machine. Where can I find it ? Thank you for help.
For the third time, Bridge has unexpectedly erased all my keywords. This seemingly happened without cause; I did not just update Bridge. Using Bridge CC 2019 version 9.1.0.338 on Mac OS 10.14.5. Does anyone know how to prevent this?Message was edited by: Sahil Chawla
Hi,I've chosen to keep using Bridge 2018 because the new version is so much busier in the Content panel (there's so much unnecessary boxes and highlighted areas which distract from my images) but now an issue I have is trying to use Image Processor in the Tools > Photoshop menu doesn't work. Nothing happens when I click it (with images highlighted).I have checked in Preferences > File handling and the correct Photoshop 2019 is selected for all relevant file formats. Please advise another tactic? Thanks!

All of a sudden I cannot move files within Bridge. The move option is greyed out. I can only copy.
The company I work for uses an app called "iView" to sort and review images for editorial purposes. This program was "end of life'd" quite some time ago and It's time to finally move away from our old program. A traditional DAM software, isn’t an option so we're going to use Bridge instead for our editorial and production needs. It seems like its going to work except for one part.... Saved sorting that can be viewed amongst different users. As of right now, changing file names is out of the question. We tend to re-use assets across different projects, so having to change the file name would break links on existing projects OR create many many duplicates of the same image. This is a short example of our current process: User1 (the editor) sets the order using meta data fields, in which the images should be placed in the working document. User2 (the designer) needs to open those images to see the same order that User1 set them in. In the old application, we are able to sort images b
I have been organizing my images by date, with nested folders like this:e:\2019-04-14 Photoshoot - Park\ [ contains all .net and .jpg files directly from the camera]e:\2019-04-14 Photoshoot - Park\wip [ works in progress ]e:\2019-04-14 Photoshoot - Park\wip\smalljpg [ copies of the jpg files resized to 25% and saved with a slightly higher compression to speed up browsing for the best pictures]e:\2019-04-14 Photoshoot - Park\wip\smalljpg\thumbs [ jpg files resized to 5%]And then repeat for more folders:e:\2019-06-04 Photoshoot - Lake\e:\2019-06-20 Photoshoot - Waterfall\e:\2019-07-05 Photoshoot - Fireworks\You get the idea. What I'd like to do is have a smart collection of all of my small jpg files from 2019 where the criteria are something likeFiletype: jpgLocation: e:\2019*\**\smalljpg [double * to indicate that there could be zero or more folders in the the path]Subfolders: noIf I had to list each location's full path and use an OR, that would be ok. Bridge2019/ Windows 10Whenever i double click an MS Office file in Bridge - it launches After Effects. What i did so far:1. Settings - Files Affiliation - does not list any Office applications so i can not change the afiliation here (hide unaffiliated formats is unchecked)2. All system bound affiliations are correct and working properly. Even the highest admin level connects office files correctly to its app.3. Reset preferences and restarted multiple times. What works is: drag and drop the Office file from Bridge into the launched Office application. But that hardly is a long term solution.Best,MDC
I have tried for 2 days (off and on) to try to get Bridge CS6 to copy the information from the Description field to the Title field in the metadata. I can get it into the menu, but nothing happens when I modify other scripts. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. If you want a good laugh, I can post my previous attempts.
Hello,I need to create a process of copying the filename of a tiff to the description in that same file's iptc. Ideally i'd like to be able to drop the script in to an Apple Automator process, but that would be a luxury. There's also an extra catch: i need the script to replace "=" with ":" and to add a prefix, for example "CMS:"Here's an example:inputfilename: 8737=6.tifdescription:outputfilename: 8737=6.tifdescription: CMS:8737:6It seems a faily basic process but i don't know where to start with this scripting business... Any help or advise would be much appreciated! Perhaps you know of a really similar one that i can modify??Lewis
Hi,I know this question has been asked and unanswered a few times, but I can't believe there still hasn't been a fix issued.I use the contact sheet/pdf very often as part of my workflow, to send clients a quick shoot overview for selection. For a couple months, in every pdf export the colors are way too saturated, and the images are darker and more contrasted. It looks awful. When is Adobe going to fix this massive issue? Could you recommend another software or solution to achieve the same thing - quick, easy, simple? Doing it with Photoshop is such a drag. Thanks!
