If I tried to input a folder with backslashes like "D:\Photos\2018" the backslashes are not "accepted" as chars ... If I type the string into an editor and copy it via CTRL+C / CTRL+V into the input field for folders in Bridger, everything works fine.Is this a bug?
Hi, Please can you help me about that?I need to know how put an image in real Size.the program scale my image, but I need to cut it. is it possibile?thanks in advance for your cooperation.

Bridge CS5 v4.1.0.54 is launching when I startup my computer even though I do not have this setting checked in preferences, it is not in my startup group in Windows 10 nor set in the registry..Why is this happening and how can I get it to stop?I am running Windows 10 Home version 1903Thanks
Yes, as soon as I open Bridge it pops up a window saying that Bridge is blocked, and asking if I want to send a report, the window ask for my email address and then Bridge close.Any idea whats going on ?Thanks in advance
hiadobe bridge shows a circle, square, & triangle in the preview pane instead of showing the selected image. some images will render correctly, when selected, others wont. the same image that renders correctly in the preview pane one time may show as a square, circle & triangle the next time bridge is opened.software rendering is checked in preferences & i have cleaned out all the cache. all the files are tiffs. my computer is a 27 inch imac running os 10.12.6
I am seeking ways to make Bridge function faster.I have what I assume to be a large collection (450 images)Whenever I do anything with multiple files (add keywords to a selection of 130 files, for example) it takes 4-5 minutes, during which thumbnails disappear, reappear, disappear, and reappear many times.I am using Bridge ver 9.1.0.338Mac Pro6-Core Intel Xeon E5 Processor Speed: 3.5 GHz L2 Cache (per Core): 256 KB L3 Cache: 12 MB Memory: 64 GB1TB SSDAMD FirePro D500 VRAM 3GBAre there any Bridge features I can turn off the improve performance?Do I need to upgrade my hardware or graphics card?
Help! I've been using Bridge ever since I took photography seriously. And just recently when renaming a batch I loose all the edits I've done with Camera Raw. I checked all the settings and everything seems to be the same I had them before. Luckily I back up periodically and I was able to recover days worth of editing. But have been trying to rename different ways and the result is the same, I loose all the edits, all files go back to original as if I didn't work on them at all. Anyone is having the same problem? I am in the CC program so the apps are up to date. Maybe from now on, I will be renaming the files first, so that I don't have this problem again but my latest project needs to be renamed and I am unsure how to get around the problem at hand...?
I use the "Person Shown" field in Bridge. Bridge interprets this field different than other software which is creating issues for me. Names are separated by semicolons which Bridge interprets as line breaks. Other programs write the metadata as one line separated by semicolons.Person A; Person B; Person CBridge<rdf:li>Person A</rdf:li> <rdf:li>Person B</rdf:li> <rdf:li>Person C</rdf:li>Photomechanic<rdf:li>Person A; Person B; Person C</rdf:li>the workaround is to put the names in quotes in Bridge "Person A; Person B; Person C" but this is a laborious task to go through on every image so that it is compatible with all of the software that requires semicolons.
When I to to tools/photoshop and select "process collections in photoshop," it stacks HDR sequences properly but then processes them as though they are panoramas. They are 100% overlapped and have 1 stop exposure differences.[Moved from the non-technical Lounge to the specific Program forum... In previous versions of Bridge there was a way to pull the list of Workspaces on the top of the window to the left. This would expose most of the saved workspaces so they could be re-ordered. in 2019 there is no way to expose more than just a few of the workspaces. When Bridge updated from 2018 the custom workspaces I set up from 1-5 were reordered down the list. Since the list can't be expanded, I can't out them in the order I had and use the Command-Fkey shortcuts. Is there any workaround?Did anyone even try this in Pre-release?
I have previously used bridge to create contact sheets and low res drafts for my clients.I have just noticed that there doesn't seem to be a "page selection" option for multi-page pdf any more. This was usually displayed beneath the thumbnail view of the file you wanted to add. There was a scrolling page number selector.Has this been removed in the latest version or do I have a glitch / bug in my installation.Col
Hi, not had this before, but I can't see my images in bridge. They are named but are white blank square and they have a lock sign in the top right corner. How do I rectify this?
Hi,I use Bridge CC for sorting/renaming/... of DNG files. By pressing ENTER for opening one or more of these files in Bridge CC via Photoshop CS6, I edit and save the DNG files. Having Photoshop still in the foreground, the thumbnails in Bridge CC will not updated – only aft6er switching to Bridge. Therefore: is it possible in Bridge to let it update the thumbnails/previews in the background without having to switch into Bridge ?Thanks!carlos
As part of my workflow, I have always duplicated a folder into a "proofing" folder, then viewed the images one by one using Filmstrip View in Bridge and made a decision to delete or keep each image. If I delete the image, I simply click the "delete" button on the Mac and proceed to the next image. Simple, right? Until now. What Bridge USED TO DO is select the image after the one I just deleted, making it show up in the preview pane, so that I can make the next decision to keep or delete, and so on.What Bridge DOES NOW is deselect the images entirely, resulting in NO image in the preview pane and no image selected in the filmstrip. This requires users to figure out where they were in the editing process (on the small filmstrip, mind you, with potentially hundreds of similar images). This is RIDICULOUS. I spent an hour on chat with an Adobe rep and they tried to figure it out and then just said I would just have to keep track of which image was next to be edi
It's a while I started using Wacom pen and it's giving me hard time. when I'm choosing photos on Bridge CC it seems i double click on a photo and it automatically opens in Photoshop and it happens for most of the photos so it slows me down , i went to file type associate but it's not a correct way because I want nothing happen when I double-click on a file but in that section it ask you what program to be used to open raw files.Thanks{Thread renamed by moderator}
I'm using the latest version of Bridge in a workgroup environment, with files stored on a server. When I select several images in Bridge and write the same keywords to the range of pictures, Bridge takes a very long time to complete the task. Tech support referred me to a forum session with a similar question. The reply stated that Bridge is not optimized for network performance and is designed to work directly on the local drive. This surprised me because so many users store files on a network. I could install Bridge on the server to make keyword changes, as the volumes are directly connected. Is there a better way? Thank you. Jim
Hello,I found a strange problem in Bridge. If I create (both export as... or save as...) a .jpg and a .png files from the same .psd file in photoshop, the .png file has different color in Bridge, but only in Bridge. In Preview or in Photoshop they have the same colour. Something wrong with .png files, because .jpg files are look the same in every applications. In the first screenshoot you can see the 2 images next to each other in Preview. In the 2. screenshoot the 2 files are in BridgeI measured the color in digital color meter using display native values and display in sRGB options1. png in native values (R: 0, G: 102, B: 204)2. jpg in native values (R: 45, G: 102, B: 196)3. png in sRGB (R: 0, G: 102, B: 212)4. jpg in sRGB (R: 0, G: 102, B: 204)The jpg and the original psd files has the same RGB numbers.Every files has the sRBG color profiles embedded. I use a custom monitor profile created by x-rite i1 display pro. I have an iMac 2017.Anybody has any idea what is wrong? Thanks!Vasily
I'm suddenly getting .xmp files associated with my Nikon Z7 .nef files. This is an issue that started a week or so ago. I was using the Nikon Z7 without any issues for a couple of months before the .xmp files started to appear. I’m using Windows 10 Pro 64bit, Adobe CC 2019 Bridge, Adobe CC 2019 Photoshop and Camera Raw. I've checked the memory cards straight from camera in Windows Explorer and the .xmp files do not appear on them so it would seem that this is an Adobe issue rather than anything to do with Nikon. I have tried altering the settings within Adobe Camera Raw and Adobe Bridge preferences, from Sidecar ".xmp" files to Camera Raw database and surprisingly it makes no difference whatsoever. The .xmp files continue to be created and associated with the .nef files on any new captures. The .xmp files only appear once the images are downloaded to Adobe Bridge and before they are opened in Bridge or opened in Photoshop. This leads me to believe this is an Adobe Bridge issue. If t
Hi. After a long struggle with the beach ball from hell I've decided to downgrade from Bridge CC 2019 to Bridge CC 2018 (8.1.0.383). It goes like a dream, however I've lost my collections. Is there a simple way to transfer them from CC2019 to CC 2018?
How do you MOVE Collections to new storage locations with Bridge? I have multiple collections consisting of original files that may reside on multiple external hard drives. I have a new high capacity drive that will become my working drive, as the existing drives are getting older (like me). I can't recall the procedure to do this so that Bridge will maintain access to the files in the Collections.I plan to COPY the files from the old HD's to the new HD's. I can either drag copy, or possibly use Carbon Copy Cloner. But I may need to change the folder hierarchy to a better system, and I'm concerned that an altered directory will confuse Bridge.Thanks.
I use batch rename all day on folders of images, and this new 2019 update has slowed down my workflow, due to sloppy or rushed design it seems.I've gone back to Bridge 2018 for now, since there's also the issue of "cut and paste" not working in the new version. However this isn't a long term solution because eventually I'll have to move to newer versions to keep up with the rest of Creative Cloud.I use a complicated preset to accommodate a client's naming conventions. In the 2018 and previous versions, all my fields were visible, the cursor was always at the top, and I could practically blaze through it without even looking. In the 2019 window, I can't see the entire formula, the cursor defaults to the third field (not even visible on screen), I have to take my hands off the keyboard to use the mouse, and carefully watch what I'm doing. If this is a temporary glitch due to a rushed deadline, that's one thing, but if the interface is permanently broken, that could cost me hours pe
Hello...I currently have Adobe Bridge v8.0 installed on a Windows 8.1 PC, and this is connected to an AD infrastructure that is NOT internet connected. In order to upgrade to v9.0, I obtained an 'offline' installation from this location: Download Creative Cloud apps After clicking the setup exe, I received the following message: "the installation cannot continue as the installer file may be damaged"As recommended by the message, I attempted a fresh download of the Windows x64 version and tried it on different PC that was running Windows 10, however I get the same error message.Initially I used 7-Zip, then I tried WinRAR, which made no difference to the extracted files. I also disabled AV to check if that was getting in the way, but still no joy.I'm rather out of ideas, perhaps someone out there can shed some light on this issue.Cheers,Steve
Is it possible to link a folder of images (on my Mac) to a Library in Bridge so that if I add an image to the folder it automatically shows up in the library?
When in the "Preview" workspace, the vital information on the bottom of the Content panel is lost. In Bridge 2018, this was permanently along the bottom of the whole Bridge program window. Now that it's INSIDE the Content panel, the file number count, etc, is lost because the Content panel is too narrow to display it. C'mon. Why move it? It was perfect where it was! Or at the very least, make the file count stay, and the thumbnail size slider disappear. I often use the file count when filtering images by rating, etc. I have no idea why this was moved.
