Having issues with adobe bridge CC19 creating red transparent squares with photos.I get this issue when previewing images, did think much of it because it didn't affect workflow until now.Output option and create contact sheets.Did the usual troubleshooting techniques, still no good.macOS Mojave V10.14.1iMac (27-inch, Late 2013)3.5 GHz Intel Core i724 GB 1600 MHz DDR3NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780M 4096 MBHope someone can help? Thanks for your time.Cheers
Hello! I frequently used the Adobe Bridge Merge Images feature and I am not sure what I am missing but I no longer see that available.I previously would just click on the multiple images that I wanted to merge in photoshop and then click Tools > Photoshop > Merge to HDR Pro and it would open the images in Photoshop and automatically layer them for me. Now I don't even see the Photoshop option under the Tools anymore. I swear I just used this feature recently (since the last time I updated my programs) hopefully someone can help me figure out what I'm missing or if there is something I need to do. I know I can merge them from Lightroom but in some circumstances using bridge is more convenient for my process so hoping I can get this figured out. Thanks so much for your help.
I want to re install my CS5 on a new laptop, but I cannot un install off my old crashed laptop as it is scrap And I am not sure if my CS5 student version if compatible with the new laptop's Windows 10 ???I would appreciate any help as Adobe do not seem give a support option for specific queries, just generic product buttons which do not apply.????
If I want to rename an existing file or create a new folder in Bridge CC 2019 and I want to name it e.g. "2018" or "5-years later" or something else with a number in it, Bridge doesn't insert the char in the filename (as expected) but instead changes the star rating of the folder/file.I assume this is a bug, isn't it?
I use Bridge to batch rename my photos. (ie: photo_001, photo_002) After updating Bridge to 2019, I can no longer use numbers to rename. If I try to use a number it doesn't show up but adds a star or rating. Your help is greatly appreciated.
Windows 10, lots of everything... Current version of Bridge. I don't RECALL it doing anything this bizarre in the last version, certainly didn't in the version I used a month ago. This HAS to be something incredibly dumb, 'cause there's NO WAY Adobe would actually make Bridge do this on purpose...Standard workspace, thumbnails on right. Filename is something like 180523_2325.jpg, and I need to change the filename to 1583 2325 goose.jpg... Previously I clicked the filename, then clicked again (not too fast 'cause then it tries to open it in Photoshop) to highlight the whole name then clicked again to put the cursor in the filename so I can edit it.NOW, I do the same thing, the cursor is in the same place, and I can use the numeric keypad on the RIGHT to change the numbers in the filename, but the numbers at the top of the keyboard don't change the filename, they cause a variety of bizarre behavior...For example, third thumbnail in the row, cursor in the filename a
Hello,I am using the latest bridge 2019 version. I can't type numbers when I want to rename a files. Bridge uses always hotkeys and numbers are not typed. Same thing in the search bar. In 2018 everything is ok.How can i fix it?thanks
Is there any way that I could see which (if any) indesign documents link to a specific image. I'm on a mac, so Ransack is not an option for me as mentioned here. Thanks!
Is there any script for Adobe Bridge which makes an archive from selected files?
There are several threads dating back years on making contact sheets using Photoshop, Bridge and Indesign. But nothing recent to add metadata to contact sheets for CC 19. There is script for Indesign, ImageCatalog.applescript, but it doesn't work. Can anyone point to a tutorial or website? Thanks.
Hi!I am attempting to "catalog" my design assets that include .ai, .eps, .svg files, etc.I have begun using Bridge as the program in which to do this. However, I'm not sure this is the best program for the job, and I'm not sure how to backup all the keywords, collections, etc. in case my computer crashes or I want to move to a new computer.I was reading about Lightroom (classic) and how you can backup its database easily.Which program is the one I should be using to build my catalog as I unzip the files? Is Lightroom feasible for the file types listed above?Any and all feedback, opinions and suggestions welcome.Thank you!Karen
Hi,having 1400 DNGs (formerly CR2s) and at the moment I am converting all into JPGs, 1800x1200px within Bridge CS6 (Windows 10) – after applying "automatic image options" (don't know English nomenclature) just before – on a workstation (Xeon E5-1650, 3.5 GHz) with 32 GB RAM:This takes very long... 3 seconds for one image.Do I need faster/newer hardware, better graphics card and/or another software (version) to accelerate this process? Thanks!mtemp
For many years it has been my practice to rename large groups of images in the form: xx-nn0, where xx is a Text Field containing a static numeric prefix for the entire group (enabling sequencing of groups), nn is the Sequence Number within the group, and the '0' is a Text Field that creates a numeric space between images that enables me to manually re-order images within the group. This worked in Bridge as recently as early 2018. This has been a powerful technique for presenting hundreds of images.Today with Bridge 9.0.1.216 the Text Field will no longer accept numeric characters. Why? What is the benefit of excluding numeric characters?nbbi3523ACC#
Today I downloaded some images from an image bank and then went to see and it was with those gray noise spots. I do not know if it was Bridge or Windows that caused this. Has anyone had this problem?Do you know what the cause is?
In Bridge CC 2019 the scroll bar is not visible enough. There is no contrast. I cannot find a preference to change it.Is there a solution?
I am very frustrated. Bridge 2019 now has big, unused gaps between images in the "content" window and between my keywords. This means there is a lot of unused space, and more scrolling. Bridge 2018 was MUCH more compact. Is there a preference for "classic" view, or something like that? I have no idea what purpose this change served. Please help.
Has anyone experienced this? The pdf filetype is associated with Foxit Pdf Reader, opening pdfs in windows 10 (64 bit) opens them correctly with the assigned app Foxit Pdf Reader. Bridge on the other hand does not give me the option to load via Foxit Pdf Reader; it's not showing even via open with (see attached).
Hi all. I just update Bridge to the 2019 version, and all my horizontal photos are now turning the wrong way. Anyone knows how to fix this? I have tried clicking all the options for layout but it just stays like this 😞
Hi there,We have a startup script (javascript) that creates a panel in Adobe Bridge CC (currently using CC 2018 but planning to move to 2019 soon). This panel and script helps us capture metadata into images and also a create new version of images from the selected image. We are in the process of changing this to a CEP 5 panel and associated javascript, but we seem to have a problem with non-ascii characters. For instance we have a field in the panel to capture metadata into an image - if we type in a unicode character outside the main '128 ascii character set' it gets converted to ?? question marks and so the not stored correctly in the image metadata. We have noticed this problem with the © symbol, — longer dash, and also smart/curly quote. It seems that when the JSX is loaded into the CEP panel, it is not treated as unicode? Is this a limitation of CEP or are we doing something wrong in our script? Does anyone else have this problem or do unicode characters work fine for you? Thanks so
Hi there,There has been a few discussions on this but still not sure if it is possible to copy the Bridge cache from one computer to another and have it work automatically on that second computer? Some background on the problem:We have a central image library on our file server on a network. We have several users that access this image library using Adobe Bridge from their local machines (Server is Windows, local computers are MacOS 10.12).Each user has a local Bridge Cache on their computer which is updated as they visit folders in the central Image Library. Searching and filtering the Image Library is very important so its critical that each users cache is up-to-date (new images are constantly being added) but this is where we hit a problem. When the user visits the top level 'Image Library' folder the cache gets updated with new items in that top level folder - this is good as this is our main collection. However the cache only gets updated with the items in this top level folder not
Recently upgraded Bridge from 2018 to 2019 and can no longer see the lines of metadata underneath thumbnails (file type, size, date created etc.). If hover is clicked the info pops up but i don't want that! I want the information to live visibly under the thumbnails permanently just as it did in earlier versions. Yes, I've clicked off hover. What's going on? Is there a preference I need to set? Is this a glitch? I've cleared my cache, refreshed, quit, restarted....help!
This is new since the latest update. No text, no error code, nothing. Just a spinning wheel.
hi there i still got trouble with the color management. no workaround worked, latest update also not working. get back to cc2018 its the only thing that works. doesn't matter what i do in bridge or what i change in the color management of photoshop, indesign and illustrator. i need my own color management and not what bridge gives me. see the screenshot. sometimes it also keeps resetting to emulated mode what's even worse. photoshop, at least, mostly doesn't reset. very sad i cannot use the new versions even when i pay for them...
For the past few months, Bridge has been given me issues of broken/corrupted thumbnails and constant freezing. I use a Mac, which is up-to-date, and Bridge is up-to-date, according to Creative Cloud.I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Bridge multiple times and the issues still occur.I've purged the cache multiple times and the issues still occur.Even though the shared server I work out of is quite extensive, that isn't a cause since the issues have only been occurring for about 2 or 3 months now and I've been working out of the server for about 9 months.
