Bridge

Recently Bridge is recently becamequite slow in showing thumbnails when a new folder is opened. However I discovered when I disconnect my external backup which is always connected everything speeded up as it used to be. Therefore it appears for some reason Bridge has decided to ignore my internal drive.  How do I get it to look internally only as the default and let my backup simply operate in the background.Thank you Predstone

When I go to 'Get Photos From Camera' in Bridge, it gives me this message below, even though there are JPG images on my camera. I've never had trouble downloading images via other apps. Could anyone tell me why this is happening? thank you.Maddy

I updated Bridge to the latest version and I encountered a problem in the interface, when it expands to the right, the panel contained the other panels to the right of this (metadata, preview etc.) no resize, disappears even if a second monitor. I'm sorry for my english! Thank you.

iin the old Bridge I could send images to Photoshop and have them auto stacked into a timeline for making basic gif | animation files... does any one know where Adobe has hidden this option in the current build?

Cannot delete pics on bridge...??Just get this: An error has occurred during the delete operation. Some files may not have been processed.

None of the keywords I assigned in 2015 were carried over into either 2017 or 2108. When I installed it, I did select "transfer over prefs from previous versions".While I can export the keywords from 2015 and import them in 2018, the images I had tagged in 2015, did not retain that data in 2018.Am I missing a setting?

Hi all, Recently I've been having problems with Bridge hard-crashing my Mac: it restarts itself, gives me the kernel panic warning and then reboots. This always happens while I have a folder open on a remote volume (windows via SMB).I've uninstalled and all that, still happens. Hi, My Bridge 2018 crashes when I try to open the info panel on multiple files. I tried switching to 2017 and it still happened. I did not have this problem until we updated to the 2018. Any tips??

Why was the XMP property tree removed from Bridge 2018?Now when I select File Info, I can only view "Raw Data" with no ability to delete data as was possible in previous versions.Developers need these sorts of functions!

I have Bridge Metadata preferences set to display Indesign document size in millimetres. However the dimensions will not display in Bridge. Can anyone please help me get this working??

I recently updated to the latest version of Bridge.I select an image, press the spacebar to put the picture full frame on screen then press the left mouse key to enlarge to 100%. Before the update the image jumped directly to 100%, which is what I want it to do. Now it sloooowwwly glides up to 100%. How do I get it back to the previous behaviour ?I don't seem to be able to find any setting in Bridge>Edit>Preferences which might do the job. Any suggestions ?Andrew

I've been testing my new script application for JPEG export in Bridge. I'd like to have a progress indicator.On Windows, I can use the window.update function to write a new value to a text field during the for loop where I actually export the files.On macOS, I get a spinning rainbow (busy cursor) and the window isn't updated until the export is finished. Identical code.An alert WILL interrupt the export loop on either platform and allow the window to update.Any ideas? I'll post sample code later today.

Bridge 2017 is opening Adobe Stock by default and not searching my selected local folder. This is frustrating and I cannot find a way to change.

Recently purchased Olympus ODE  M1 Mark2 camera. I have Mac with OS X El Capitan 10.11.6. I have installed the correct 9.9 plugin is updated. Bridge CS5 and CS6 are both installed on computer but neither recognizes the camera. Please help as camera is no good if you cannot view the photos! Thanks

Our organization is looking to switch from Windows Photo Gallery to Adobe Bridge. Bridge does seem to recognize keywords that were tagged in Windows Photo Gallery but only for photos loose in our main "Pics" folder and not in subfolders within "Pics".The catch is that if I open a subfolder within Bridge, Bridge will then recognize the keywords within that subfolder. So we know Bridge has picked up our keywords but it doesn't seem to search all subfolders unless each folder has been opened. It is impractical to open hundreds of subfolders on multiple computers.Does anyone have any insight into this issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!Sarah{email removed by moderator}

Can I make a search limited to the field Person Shown? E.g. I need to find all pictures of person X. And the opposite, can I find all pictures that has the Person Shown field empty?

I wish to add my voice to the chorus complaining about this issue. Adobe please fix this!I have tried the suggestions many have suggested: purging cache, increasing cache size, software rendering on/off, etc.I have to edit thousands of images after each shoot. A blurry image in Bridge makes determining an image's sharpness much more difficult.

These days, when I search, it returns zero results. I have had to rebuild the cache every time I go into Bridge, which is a huge hassle. But now, I can't even rebuild the cache!Plus, I can no longer use spacebar to view full screen previews. In fact, there are several functions that are not available in the menus and should be, such as Move to Trash, Select All, open any of the panels, Full Screen Preview, Build and Export Cache, and others.  Screen shots of menus attached. Batch Rename is not working properly. I organize my files by name (which are sequential in the original image number and date/time the images were taken/created), but when using batch rename, the tool selects random images and renames them in a random order. Sometimes it doesn't select files even though I have selected all the images in the folder. I've reset my preferences, re-installed Bridge, searched forums, but haven't found a solution.Below is a screenshot of my settings. I've also included an example of the random ordering/incorrect renaming. This tool should have renamed images directly following 8:23pm, but jumped to images taken at 8:43pm.Any ideas are appreciated.

Many a times Adobe Bridge CC ,version 8.0.1.282, quits unexpectedly when I press space bar to see full screen image. Please advise me on this.

Hola, me llamo Carlos, y tengo una versión de prueba de Adobe Bridge CC, la versión del cual es 8.0.1.282*32, lo tengo instalado en un ordenador portátil con 2 gigas de ram y con el sistema operativo de windows 7 profesional de 32 bits.  El problema que tengo es que estoy haciendo unos ejercicios de un libro de fotografía digital, y en uno de los ejercicios se me pide que cargue 3 archivos a photoshop en capas desde bridge, según el tutorial del libro, desde bridge tengo que hacer los siguientes pasos para cargar los 3 archivos a photoshop en 3 capas;  en Bridge tengo que ir a:  Herramientas > Photoshop > Cargar archivos en capas de Photoshop.La sorpresa que me he llevado es que en la pestaña de Herramientas de Bridge, no está la opción:  Photoshop > Cargar archivos en capas de Photoshop, con lo cual no puedo realizar el ejercicio. La pregunta es sencilla, como es que esta opción no esta disponible?Si alguien lo sabe y no le importa decírmelo, estaría bien.

Despite years of posts Bridge, updated yesterday, still does not recognize ORF files on SD cards for downloading.Turning off the GPU acceleration, a work around for the consistent high quality of Adobe programming, does not work--shock of shocks.The files are all read by Windows 10 Explorer and Mac Finder so its pretty obvious where the problem is.As I have sorted to a hard drive downloads from other cameras using the Bridge downloader it is inconvenient, to say the least, to have to manually parse Olympus downloads.Is there a solution or just stop using Adobe for downloading files from other cameras as well?

When activating the Preference Window it is too big and cuts at at Labels on top. See screen shot below:I have an 17" screen laptop and use scaling at 150%. I decreased that to 100%. I now can see OK and Cancel, ​but at the top it still cuts off at Labels. See screen shot below:
