Bridge

Since doing a clean install of MacOS, my audio / video files no longer preview in the preview panel Do I need to install a plugin maybe? 

I just installed Bridge on my computer and tried to personalize the layout but everything went wrong. I undocked panels and it became a mess.  How do I reset the default layout in Bridge? FYI, I never save any layouts in Bridge. Thank you  

I am trying to rename a group of images using batch rename in bribge.my file names are as follows:0025_12548.NEF0026_15942.NEF0029_24965.NEF0032_32549.NEF0035_35492.NEF0038_85426.NEF...ETC The first 4 numbers are a sequince number and the last 5 numbers are a student ID number that was changed using a Tether program when the photo was taken. I am needing to remove the sequince number so we have just the student ID number as the file name.12548.NEF15942.NEF24965.NEF32549.NEF35492.NEF85426.NEFI have seen ways to do it with Regular Expression through the community just cant figure it out or is there an easier way?

Hello all! So I ran into this weird problem, when I used Bridge/ACR on an older MacPro with Mojave the other day. I was editing RAW files from my Nikon D810 which worked totally fine, certainly fast enough to be a pleasurable experience.Later I worked on RAW files off a Nikon D7100, which was absolutely horrid. Camera Raw kept slowing down with spinning beach ball and being unresponsive for several seconds. I would have assumed that those D7100 files, being smaller than those D810 files, would have worked even better and faster. How is it possible that Camera Raw is this picky, especially when the files should have put even less strain on the CPU?Doesn't make sense! I hope somebody out there has an idea, because when things are bugging me, I want to get to the bottom of it 🙂 Thanks 🙂 Ginger  

Since arbitrary sizes besides 1, 1.25, and 1.5 work for UI scaling, please allow those instead of constraining to only those three.Just out of curiosity, why switch between an integer and a real?

As of today, the shortcuts Bridge for labelling (either numerical or cmd-x) don't seem to work. I have both Bridge (beta) and Bridge installed and the shortcuts don't seem to work with either. Even when I manually add a label it won't show it.  Help!

Setting up a home network for file and media sharing using a 2014 MacMini as the 'server' with 500GB NVMe, 1TB SATA storage, and various external storage drives.Connected computers will be a 2019 iMac27, another 2014 MacMini and a late 2014 MacBook Pro. Everything will be running the latest version of Ventura, except the MBPro that can't natively go beyond BigSur.Will Bridge function as a shared application, and are there any things I need to be aware of, please? I've noted the comments elsewhere about enabling the Files and Folders and the Full Disk Access settings under Privacy and Security.Currently having no problems using Bridge 2024 connected to my iMac for my DAM (nearly all photography), and I use non-Adobe applications for my processing (e.g. Affinity, DxO and Topaz).

I filed bugs against this in the PR what, five or six versions ago? And its STILL not fixed? In Details View, metadata is truncated or hidden. There is no scrollbar, columns are both way too large and cannot be resized, and it renders the whole thing unusable. 

How does Bridge determine which Adobe Portfolio web site to upload the images to?I tried this feature once and it sent the photos to one of my four Portfolio web sites.How did it choose the one it chose as opposed to the other three sites I have created?Is the decision based on the last site I was working on ? or ... Thanks ...

When I update and install Bridge version 12 it never opens.  It just gives this error message.  What is the fix???

Hi!I am working on a Mac Pro 2012.I set up Adobe Bridge (AB) to view jpg image files in Google Drive (GD). The files are stored in a shared folder.The shared folder is linked via a shortcut to the My Drive folder in GD.I am able to access the files in GD through Google Drive File Stream. When I first worked with AB on the images in GD it was very functional. I shut down my computer for a couple of days and not AB does is not able to open the shared folder. I am able to see all the folders and files in Finder. My sense is that AB does not identify the shortcut in GD when it was able to previously.Can anyone give me a clue as to whether there are any changes in the set up to sort this issue. I have tried signing out, rebooting etc without success. Thanks for your help Stefan

Good morning All, In Adobe Bridge preferences I have Preserved File Name checked so I can keep track of the original image if I rename it.  The issue is that sometimes the Preserved File Name appears in the Metadata Panel and sometimes it doesn't and I don't understand why that would happen.Has anyone had that happen and, if so, do you know how to make sure the information always appears in the Metadata Panel.Thanks for the help and stay well.Sandra

Hi, I'm trying to use Bridge for my first time on a Windows laptop, but when press 1 it skips 1 photo and goes to photo number 3, if I go back to my first photo and press 2, it skips 2 photos and goes to number 4, however, I want it to apply a rating of 1 to the selected photo. I've edited the keyboard shortcut settings to allocate the rating (they seemed OK in the default) but there is no setting to skip x photos..? Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug?

I'm in need of a tool that can efficiently apply watermarks to a batch of over 500 photos. These images have varying pixel sizes - some are 1500x1500 px, while others are 1200x1200 px. Additionally, the images have EAN codes embedded within their filenames, which I aim to retain in the exported versions. Does anyone know of a tool that can accomplish this task effectively?

Bonjour, Je dispose d'un imac iMac (27 pouces, fin 2013) avec High sierra, j'ai photoshop cc 2019 et Bridge 6.0.0.151 avec Camera Raw 16.5.1. Je ne peux pas ouvrir de fichier jpg avec camera raw dans bridge , j'ai une fenêtre une message d'erreur "la modification à l'aide de camera raw n'est pas activée" que faire je ne peux pas mettre à jour photoshop et bridge car ils ne sont pas compatible avec ma version OS. Que faire?J'ai également un autre problème dans bridge à chaque fois que j'essaye de mettre une etiquette sur une photo elle ne s'applique par immédiatement ou pas du tout. Another glitch I found today with Bridge 2024 (version 14) - the contact sheets that I use in the Output module did not transfer from Bridge 2023 - they don't appear on my Windows 10 machine or my MacBook. I spent hours creating several templates that include headers and footers - it is how I provide work to my clients.  I even manually placed them to the following location (which is where a new one I created saved to):C:\Users\johns\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Bridge 2024\OutputModule\ContactSheet\UserTemplatePLEASE Adobe!!!  Why do you do this???  We shouldn't have to have multiple versions of Bridge installed in order to use workflows we have developed over the course of years.  I currently have Bridge versions 2022, 2023, and 2024 in order to do my work.  And those interfacing with PS make a mess.  Please, please get this stuff fixed.  Don't break the old stuff when you come out with your new versions.  That completely negates and positive interact

I'm creating a set of Smart Collections that collate photos into their respective months rather than clicking clicking each metadata date in the Filter panel and manually keeping track of which date I've checked as perusing through. To the best of my knowledge, and what I could search in these and other forums, there doesn't seem to be a way to duplicate a configured Smart Collection so I can rapidly edit the criteria for each month and year. If that is the case, is there a better way to approach this task?

I'm wondering if anyone else is having this problem and if there is a fix I can pose to our IT department.  I work/connect remotely, doing graphics in a PC environment, and like using Bridge to scroll through our library of graphics. But it appears to be the root cause behind many issues and lost hours of work. It is causing Windows Explorer to crash, and perhaps causing other random issues across other apps--like Acrobat not wanting to open, Illustrator not letting me 'save as', messing with my Teams, and other random issues... I also don't know if it is behind my work computers dying early deaths. (I have been with the company 26 months and have gone through 3 physical PCs and 3 virtual PCs.) IT tells me no one else is having this problem, but I can't tell you if anyone else uses Bridge. After getting set up on my 3rd virtual pc yesterday, I started having problems today. I have a new (2019) MacBook Pro running Catalina 10.15.1. I've installed Creative Cloud, including Bridge, PS, Lightroom, and Camera RAW and they are all up to date. I can open PS and Lightroom just fine, but when I try to open Bridge I get a message that "The operation could not be completed. A write permissions error has occurred." This happens whether I open it from the Creative Cloud icon or going through the Applications folder. There is no suggestion as to how to fix this.

Hi I'm Tono, a non native english speaker but most of my work is focused on English language since I an contributor to stock photo marketplaces. I sometimes have dobuts about the spelling of certain words that I do edit in Adobe Bridge: Tittles, Keywords....  all my writings are under the "IPTC Core" tab which is the only tab that I need to integrate the text spell.I wonder if I could get any spell checking of my written words, as all the text editor apps have. Actually some apps allow to integrate certain plugins as Grammarly or any other. I worder if there is any adobe solution for this or actually any other third parties solutions for my needs. Actually any other parallel or alternative solution for my needs woruld be great to know if you had a similar issue and got a solution for that.Thanks in advance Tono

Since updating to Bridge 2024 every time I label or rate an image thumbnail in Bridge a XMP thumbnail is created beside the image thumbnail. I have never experienced this and it is a major distraction clogging upmy film strips. How do I turn off seeing the metadata thumbnails?

Hi all, I could really use some technical help. I have long used exyternal drives and Bridge in its older formats without issue. Recently, about a week, Bridge 2024 has been crashing as has new Beta. Prior to that, I have found that bridge cannot open one of my hard drives and I have to resort to looking at the files in finder which clearly show and open up. Why is Bridge misbehaving? If relevant, at times, The system memory low, please close applciations has come up for a month.  Thanks  

OS: Windows 10 Intended behaviour: Application bar and manu bar are dark in the "dark" and "darkest" theme.Actual behaviour: White menu and application bar even in the dark and darkest theme   

Hello, Something is wrong with my Bridge on my XPS 17 laptop. It takes 1 minute for it to close.  Sometimes it just hang forver or crash. I have to kill it. I am suspecting it the build in SD reader.  Also, my Window Explorer (W11) lags when the Bridge is open. Any idea on how to troubleshoot this?Thank you.
