I am experiencing an issue with Adobe Bridge on my Mac.Adobe Bridge works normally when I use files stored on my desktop and internal drive. I can create folders, rename files, and save changes without any issues. However, when working with files on my external SSD, Bridge does not function correctly. I am unable to create new folders or save changes to photos. In contrast, Finder works completely normally with the same external SSD. I can create, rename, move, and delete files without any problems. To troubleshoot the issue, I have already tried the following:Verified that the external SSD is writable in Finder (read/write access is enabled). Confirmed that I can create and modify files directly on the SSD using Finder. Reset Adobe Bridge preferences. Granted Adobe Bridge Full Disk Access in macOS Privacy & Security settings. Restarted both Adobe Bridge and my Mac.Despite these steps, the issue persists. The problem only occurs in Adobe Bridge and only when working with files on the
Bridge keeps refreshing thumbnails and cache files, keeps flickering making it unusable. On full screen and browsing.
AFTER posting here...can I edit???
The loupe seems to be closing correctly now but it “FLIPS” when you lower it to the bottom of the screen. I’d like a way to STOP the flipping in Preferences.
I’m experiencing some buggy behavior that has persisted despite Bridge being up to date. When viewing photos, sometimes Bridge on its own decides to randomly jump around in the content browser. Often scrolling away from the photos I was just looking at. This happens without my hand touching the mouse, usually right after selecting a photo to view, or after hitting reject or rating an image.Sometimes I’ll see the files in the content browser jump around as the scroll moves to a random location but then moves right back to where I was. Other times it stays where it jumped to, making you have to scroll to find where you left off.I tried reporting this as a bug, but it seems the bug report feature itself on this site… is bugged. Won’t accept my submission, always says I have too many characters in the details submission field even if you only type a single letter. Anyone know if this is a known issue or if there’s a way to fix it?
Hi, I am scanning film and cataloguing it in Bridge before adjusting in LRC.I have all the exposure values in CSV format, is there any way of adding it to the Metadata in Bridge? When i create a template, the only EXIF field i can change is date/time captured, which is a real pain since I have all the EXIF data on hand.
Today my Bridge application will not show raw images for editing. I am not able to get the dropdown menu in Bridge Raw Preferences. I cannot complete any of none of the online help suggestions.
I am currently using Bridge Desktop version 16.0.3.21 (and I have two older versions installed as well). Periodically I attempt to customize the keyboard shortcuts to reassign keys to be more efficient to my review & cull process. I would like to be able to use my left hand to assign colored labels while my right hand flips though images using a mouse wheel, all from the Slideshow / Fullscreen window (panel). I notice that the default keyboard shortcuts assignments do vary from panel to panel - very confusing. I would like to bring the 5 or 6 label keyboard assignments to the extreme left of my keyboard so I don’t have to look down to find a key. I want to keep my eyes on the images.I say “periodically” because over the years since this feature of customizable shortcuts was introduced I have not been successful in setting this up. I really can’t understand the dialog box found at Edit → Keyboard Shortcut Ctrl+Alt+Sihft+K. I have read the section of the Adobe Bridge Help (several ti
Hi all,I’ve made a new script for Bridge called Lock Tagger that makes it easy to select and tag locked files, something that Bridge doesn’t let you do at present. When run on a selection, the script can do one of these things:Select only the locked files Unlock all locked files and tag them with one of these: 0-5 Stars "Reject" rating Any of the color labels (or no label) Usage Select a group of files that contains locked (and unlocked) files. Run the script from Tools > Tag Locked Files... A dialog opens, allowing you to choose how to tag the files On subsequent usages, the dialog can be bypassed by holding Shift when selecting the Tools menu item - the last used setting from the dialog is used (persists between program restarts).Installation Go to Preferences and select the "Startup Scripts" tab. Click "Reveal Scripts in Explorer" Place the script file in the folder that opens Restart Bridge When prompted upon restarting, choose to enable the script. If the script is not enable
Hi all! I wanted to share a script I've been working on - Text Substitutions! Inspired by PhotoMechanic's Code Replacements feature, this lets you add substitution [[targets]] to your metadata, and then have them replaced by any kind of text! About 50 substitutions are built in - letting you quickly swap in other metadata fields like the creation time, credit line, and location - and you can also create your own substitutions. You can find the script on Adobe Exchange for $5/month, or for free in my bridge-scripts github repo (the two versions are identical). Detailed information about how to use the program and its various features can be found on the wiki. This is still in development and it's based on my workflow, so if anyone has any suggestions I'd be happy to hear them out!
Bridge 2026 (16.0.3) stopped working on all three of our MAC computers at the same time. Working on Tahoe 26.4.1. We have uninstalled and reinstalled Bridge, have reset preferences and emptied cache, deleted startup scripts, all to no avail. Sometimes we can open a folder of images in Bridge, but get the spinning colored ball anytime we try to do something, so then we have to force quit. Sometimes we get the spinning ball immediately upon Bridge opening. Sometimes we can open a folder of images but only get gray boxes, so there are multiple ways Bridge is not working correctly. Also having the same issue now with Bridge 2025. Any fixes out there?
Hello Adobe Team,I’d like to request a feature that allows users to export and import Bridge collections along with their manual sort order.Currently in Adobe Bridge 2026:Manual sort order for folders and collections is stored in a central database with machine-specific IDs. Copying .filelist or collection XML files alone does not preserve the visual/manual order between machines. There is no user-facing way to export/import collections in a portable format. This limitation makes it difficult for users who:Work across multiple computers. (I use two computers at home and in photo lab at the college I may use a different computer each time.) Collaborate in teams Need to back up curated collections with specific manual orderingBy contrast, in Lightroom Classic, exporting and copying a catalog preserves the sort order, demonstrating that Adobe already has a functional model for portable, ordered collections. The Bridge approach would be somewhat different as Bridge uses the local computer’s
The find feature worked up to a few weeks ago. Now it can not find anything either using index or no index.
When I click on FIND and input the search criteria, Bridge does not find existing files.
To have the ability to color code folder icons instead of using the current labels would be such a great feature to help with quick viewing and finding folders in the left pane. Bridge is such a powerful hub for the creative cloud for organization in addition to being able to initiate calling up of needed applications. Color coding a folder to quickly recognize what you need would be an amazing update and from what I can tell having researched this a very popular feature request. I hope you will consider implementing this in a recent update to make bridge the perfect app for finding, organizing and the first step in a quicker workflow. Kind Regards - Patrick
Hi, I just updated my Bridge to the latest version and now it won't recognize any of the files on my Desktop or Documents. There are a LOT of files in both places. Can anyone tell me why this is happening and how can I fix this? Also, Bridges shows arrows on top of the Desktop and Documents folders. I've never seen that before. Yet if I click on either of these folders, it won't recognize even one file inside them. I've never had this issues before. Please help?

Is there an element of Bridge 2026 that requires the Inter-converter program (like photodownloader) to run? I keep getting warnings that elementss of Bridge 2026 will no longer be compatible with a newer version of the M1 macintosh OS. but it fails to tell me which element. I KONW PhotoDownloader needed the Macintosh specific converter to run previous PHotoDownloader. Can you please shed some light here as to why this error message is warning me? I’m running a Mac M1 Max OS 26.5.1. Thanks,Bob Olary
Hello Adobe Bridge team,I would like to report a possible regression in filename sorting for Chinese folder/file names. In the current version of Adobe Bridge, when I sort folders by Name, Chinese names do not appear to be sorted by pinyin or by the expected locale-aware order. Instead, the order seems closer to Unicode/code point order. For example, these folders are displayed in this order:皮衣睡衣破布童装However, if sorted by pinyin, I would expect an order closer to:皮衣破布睡衣童装This issue makes it too difficult to browse and manage Chinese-named folders efficiently.I remember older versions of Bridge handling Chinese filename sorting differently, so this may be a regression or a change in locale-aware collation behavior.Windows version: Windows 10Adobe Bridge version: 16.0.3.21System language/region: Chinese / Japanese / EngilishSorting mode: Sort by NameCould you please check whether Adobe Bridge is currently using proper locale-aware sorting for Chinese filenames?Thank you.
Are there plans to bring Adobe Bridge to Windows on ARM? Having Photoshop and Camera Raw is great, but without Bridge there is no way to have a legitimate photography-centered workflow. Also, wrong forum, but Lightroom Classic, please?
On my Windows 11 PC, When using bridge Photo Downloader and with Delete Original Files selected, after the download is complete and the "Files have need successfully copied to *********. Do you want to delete these files from your camera or card reader" window appears, I select Yes and the following pop up appears -"Device is not connected or is busy." It will not delete the camera files. Please don't give me all the reasons why I shouldn't do this please. I have a VERY robust downloading process with instant backups to both hard drives and NAS units and I don't delete until the NAS has confirmed receipt of the files. I've been using this process for 12 years and has never failed me. To confuse the issue, this problem arose after both udating to Version 16 of Bridge AND within a day or 2 also updated the firmware on my Sony A7Rm5 to the latest version. So I fully admit, I don't know if this is a Bridge problem or a Sony problem. I'm trying both avenues of support. I woul
Apro un file raw da Bridge od Photoshop, con camera raw? Bene, aperto Camera Raw, l’istogramma è assente.
I am using Bridge (latest version confirmed) to manually update the metadata on film scans (this detail may be important) of TIFF files. I am updating the creation date (which is the date that the lab scanned the negative / date delivered to me) - to an actual capture date cross referenced to a digital version taken on my digital camera or phone. I am doing this to create an actual chronological display of several thousand film images taken over the span of months and then sent to a lab in large batches. I use the metadata panel in Bridge to manually input the actual date in the “Camera Data (Exif) - “Date Time Original” field. For the most part, this works. However, after updating the metadata, random images in each folder will fail to display a thumbnail, and stop showing the color space in the metadata. and shows “Untagged”. The files are all originally 8 bit sRGB TIFFS. There seems to be no rhyme or reason to which images this happens to. Attempting to open the affected images i
Adobe has done an outstanding job adding support for new HDR image formats (JPG gain maps, PQ encoded AVIF, etc) to ACR and all versions of Lightroom. It would be incredibly helpful to add HDR display support to Bridge for those who edit their images in ACR rather than Lightroom (to make it easier to browse and manage these images). Ideally, support would cover both preview (large views) and content (thumbnails / filmstrip) in Essentials / Libraries / Filmstrip / Preview tabs. If prioritization is needed to add support incrementally, the most important is for the preview (large views) in the default view (Essentials).
