Bridge

When I import RAW files from my Canon camera, Bridge duplicates each file so I get two of everything. File Manager (Win 11) shows, correctly, one file per shot on the card. This does not happen with my Sony camera. Its a real pain having to delete all these duplicates and, until this is fixed, I have to copy via file manager.

I "upgraded" to the latest version of Bridge, an application I've been using for decades.  Now absolutely nothing works.  I cannot open a disk that contains, of course, all my photos.  The folders sidebar shows the disk, but no caret to open it and the folders in the subsequent hierarchy to get at the files I want to work with.  What in the world is going on?I will be ignoring many of the too-frequent "updates" to the suite of apps in the future.  I'm getting tired of starting from scratch each time.  I need to get some work done.

Hi! I've just updated to Adobe 2020 and when using Bridge, I can't make the preview image big enough... it just appears as a small image. It shows you how to make the miniature size bigger, but no the Preview image.   ..any tips? thanks!

So, when I go to rename a single .mp4 or .mxf files in Bridge it (seemingly randomly) comes up with the "the process cannot be completed because it is open in another process" error prompt. For some reason, it seems that trying different ways to rename it helps. For example, clicking the clip and hitting F2 brings up the prompt. Click ok. Right click -> rename will bring up the prompt. Click ok. Hit F2, and it will let me rename the file successfully. Oh and the error comes up AFTER I type the name and press enter. I'm so lost at how and why this error keeps popping up. Eventually, it allows me to rename the file after cycling through a few times. Also the annoying part is I don't know if the rename will work until after I press enter. I've tried to "open in Explorer" and rename there and it allows me to rename. A previous post suggests that this means it's a Bridge problem, not a Windows OS problem. I also tried mapping a new keyboard shortcut to rename, and it didn't make a differ

If Bridge could have the option to start up clean without recalling the last folder I looked at. Preferably deleting all the cache on closing. It would be so much faster.If it does already, where is it in the setup?   

Hello Adobe Can you PLEASE stop adding new features to a broken foundation? We still use v12 because of the poor performance of 13-14. So, please stop active work on new stuff and fokus on fixing the horrible performance. Or have you just given up on it and try to let i slide?? The performance is THE number ONE priority. Thats the only thing the majority of us needs to be fixed. We look at 14 as experimental. As of now, no new stuff is needed. Please respond. // Magnus Svensson

I am exporting AI files to PSD without color profiles. Checking the color profiles for the exported files in Bridge shows some with Untagged (correct) and some with sRGB (incorrect). If I delete the file, empty the trash, restart Illustrator and Bridge and then re-export the file, the color profile shows Untagged for the first few newly saved files and then a few more files on and it switches back to sRGB again. When I check the document profile in Photoshop the files that are tagged with sRGB in Bridge show up as Untagged RGB in Photoshop.I have even had it happen where the file shows correctly as Untagged, but then if I rename the file in Bridge, it switches to sRGB.This is happening with exporting PNG from PSD in Photoshop also.Seems like a bug?

Bridge is not showing thumbnails for image files on Sony A7R5 connected to a WIndows PC running Win10 via USB. Can anyone tell please me how to configure Bridge to show previews for files stored on a memory card in this camera, or how to resolve this issue otherwise? Bridge does show thumbnails for image files stored on drive(s) internal to the PC in question. Hi there, I have an RTX3090 GPU and would prefer to use this to render images (and thumbnails) in Bridge, rather than to have Bridge use the CPU do so. Is there a way to create this preference? I have updated to v12.0.1.246 as of this post. Thank you #gpu #bridge #preferences

About a week ago, assigning labels started working only intermittently. Whether I use a keyboard shortcut OR right click on the image to assign a label. I tried uninstalling, installing previous versions, removing my cache and preferences, and nothing solves it. This problem is there no matter what kind of image I select--JPEG or TIFF--and where it is located. Crazy that this kind of bug is unresolved. Has anyone been able to fix it? When I called the tech support line and selected "help with another program," the phone system hung up on me because it said no help was available. Insane. Any help appreciated. Bridge 2023 has been a disaster for me, I need to go back to the 2022 release so I can get some work done. I've read I can do that from my products page, but it says I have no products, and it wants serial numbers to register them. I have the creative cloud photography plan, which as far as I know has no serial numbers. Does anyone know how to downgrade Bridge to an older version?

I'm running Bridge 14.03.2 on a Mac.  At some point in their updates, Bridge stopped saving it's size and place on the screen when I closed it.  If I complete exit the program it will load up the right size and place.  But if I just click on the upper left red button to close it, and run it again, it will open up relatively small and in the middle of the screen.  How can I fix this?

There appears to a a problem with Bridge and Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, using photos made with the highest resolution (200M).  Picture sizes are around 16320 x 12240 56.5 MB.Extremely slow to open and impossible to get the shadows right. I've been trying to edit some pictures with CameraRaw, but, no matter what the picture is, the app stops working. I tried everything I could: resetting preferences, the default workspace and purging the cache. I also uninstalled it and installed it again, but it won't work. Hope I'll be able to fix it soon.

I have a high performance PC but just to move through the folders on Bridge (version 14.03.200) I have to wait about 1 minute! I use HD western digital and in 10 years I have never had these problems. On very old versions of bridge there is no this problem! Is it possible to switch to a previous version? Best regards,

m3 max with Sonoma 14.4 and Bridge 14.0.3 freezes every time i tab out to finder and back; or, whenever i'm 'done' doing sthso i am checking a bunch of files, comparing processed out JPGs with RAW folders making sure all files are there and meta data appended etc bridge checks 1 folder with up to 7 or 8 subfolder that contain around 2500 jpgs not that muchill tab in to Finder to verify amounts are correct with corresponding RAW folder an when i go back to Bridge i get the beach ball and need to force quit. i waited up to 5 minutes for the beach ball to go / bridge to un-freezeit happens every timei only have bridge and finder open

I'm having problems moving pictures from folder to folder in Bridge on my Mac M2 2023. It's a super powerful computer and it really shouldn't be showong me the Apple spinning wheel of doom and taking 30 seconds to move files across.

It would be a nice featrure to be able to print  directly from Bridge.

Pressed a button in bridge and panels are messed up. adobe bridge help/instruction page lacks step-by-step instructions how to make a new panel. In both Essentials and filmstrip view would like to have two stacked panels on the left side of the computer monitor screen. Top left panel with Favorite Folders. Bottom left panel with Filters. Would like to choose which items to display in Filters. Have clicked on Window>Filter and nothing happens. Have clicked on Window>double click Filter and nothing happens. Have clicked on Window>highlight & try to drag Filter and nothing happens.

Hello everyone. I'm currently a BTS photographer, my mainly sofware i use is Bridge,it better workflow than Lightroom to me for sure. But the more love i have for Bridge the more i hate why Lightroom Masking is slighly better than Brige as those 2 came from a same company. As you may notice in Bridge you can't adjust the size of Radial Gradient, while Lightroom can. Does anyone know is this an issue or Bridge just difference than Lightroom.

Bridge needs more care and attentionIt is a great programme, but it could be much better and more useful with optional integration. Why can't it access my Lightroom catalogue to improve searchingWhy are the Bridge collections different from Lightrooms 

Aus den Metadaten (hier Beschreibung) möchte ich die Schrift immer in einer einheitlichen Größe übernehmen. Doch Photoshop macht die Schriftgröße nicht von den von mir gewählten Proportionen (20x30), sondern von individuellen Pixelwerten abhängig. Damit kann z.B. der gewählte Schriftgrad 18 zu total unterschiedlichen Ergebnissen führen. Vielleicht hat jemand dazu schon den richtigen Trick entdeckt.

How do you zoom in and out when in the Filmstrip mode, in Adobe Bridge.There is something which looks like a magnifying glass but this is not suitable. Firstly it's too small and zooming in/out using the "+" and "-" keys does not reach the zoom level required.I've tried installing different versions of Bridge including version 8 and 11.
