This comes up from time to time due to the shortcoming of Bridge Batch Renaming having only UPPERCASE or lowercase options. It is possible to create a Regular Expression based Batch Rename to create Title Case , however, it isn't very flexible and can be complex to setup. The following script simplifies the process of renaming selected files to use a simple Title Case naming convention. For example, the following original filenames: the quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog.psd THE QUICK BROWN FOX JUMPS OVER THE LAZY DOG.psd Would be transformed to: The Quick Brown Fox Jumps Over The Lazy Dog.psd /* Rename to Title Case.jsx v1.0 - 26th December 2023, Stephen Marsh https://community.adobe.com/t5/bridge-discussions/script-to-batch-rename-as-title-case/td-p/14319096 */ #target bridge if (BridgeTalk.appName == "bridge") { var titleCase = new MenuElement("command", "Rename to Title Case v1.0", "at the end of Tools"); } titleCase.onSelec
When I let a photo be processed in Adobe Bridge by a created workflow, the creation date is deleted if I use the JPG file format. If I use the same workflow with the PNG file format, the creation date remains. How is this possible, I prefer to use JPG because of the file size? JPG file Same, but PNG
Windows 10 on a very souped up custom built for photoshop computer. I use a Canon R5.I used to be able to open Bridge, choose my card reader's DCIM folder and Bridge would begin rendering all the files immediately. It was wonderful because after a few seconds I could start looking through the images and rating them quickly. Now it only renders each file as I click on it and I have to wait for each one. I have selected:Preview size: embedded (fastest)preview quality: standardpreview generation: always generateI have not selected: always generate 100% preview Is there a setting somewhere I need to change?
in Bridge, Review Mode is unfortunately useless: if you select more than 4 photos, it displays a carousel and it's virtually impossible to get a clue of the photos you are going to take a look at. in Lightroom Classic, Survey Mode does the most intuitive thing: it tiles all the photos you select so you can, you know, review all the photos you are currently reviewing. Can the same layout be implemented?
The Trash in Bridge in infuriatingly broken. I had never understood the reject files option. What is the keystroke to do that, and where to the reject files go????Can I make a folder myself and control that. Thanks.
Batch rename isn't working even for a batch of 700 pictures. tried restarting multiple times.
Hello everyone! There has been a very useful modular export tool in Bridge for some time now. However, I noticed that it is still missing several file formats that would be really useful to add, like PSD and WebP for example. The last one by the way is only usable in Photoshop from the standard save menu, which is a bit inconvenient.Another thing that is missing in my opinion is the ability to keep as the export color profile the same profile already present in the source file.Would anyone else find these updates useful?I am curious about your opinion as well. Thank you!Translated with www.DeepL.com/Translator (free version)
In Windows 11, Bridge 2023 shows as installed and gobbling up 1.65 GB. When I try to uninstall it, the uninstaller says it's not installed...the Adobe desktop app also doesn't "see" the program as installed, yet there it is under the installed apps banner for Windows. How can I get rid of it? I thought to maybe re-install it and then uninstall it, yet Bridge 2023 isn't even available as a "previous version". The particular version I'm showing is 13.0.1. Any ideas?
Hello Everyone, We have been tracking the Performance issues reported on the earlier Bridge versions and have been working on fixing those issues. We are delighted to announce that the latest Bridge Beta build (#15.1.0.595), containing performance fixes, is now available. We have significantly improved scrolling performance in the Content panel, resulting in: Faster navigation using arrow keys, reducing lags between keystrokes. More responsive scrolling with the mouse wheel. Reduced drag scroll latency. Steps to install/update Install: Go to the Creative Cloud desktop app > Apps > select "Beta" tab. Then select install for Bridge (Beta). Update: Go to the Creative Cloud desktop app > Apps > click on View updates, and check for updates. Then click update for Bridge (Beta). Note: As always, the update will be rolled out incrementally. If you do not see the update in the Creative Cloud Desktop app, please wait for a couple of
After the latest update (14.1.1.274) Bridge states that it is 'Initializing video library' in the lower left hand corner, after which a circle start spinning. Nothing else happens after that. The app has been working great for many years. Help?
I've recently had a problem where filenames in Bridge get changed and differ from filenames in Windows Explorer. I used Bridge to do a batch rename which worked successfully. But when I leave the folder and return to it in Bridge, all filenames have been changed to a few seemingly random letters and numbers. The correct filenames still appear in Windows Explorer. This doesn't seem to happen on ALL folders, only on some folders. This causes a huge problem for my workflow because I obviously need accurately named images. I viewed the metadata to see if the correct name appears there (as suggested in a related post) but filenmae in metadata is the same random letters and numbers as the filename. I've tried the following fixes: purged the cache from Bridge. Uninstalled and reinstalled Bridge. Currently using Bridge 15.0.3 and Windows 11 Pro, version 23H2
Hi there! Could it be possible when uploading RAW photos onto Bridge that have been taken in a B&W profile to be maintained in that way?Although you've configured your camera and all profiles to show how your pictures would look like in B&W, Bridge automatically surpasses all these ticks and leaves them in colour, making the selection of the ones to be finally kept (and developed in Cr/Ps) somewhat cumbersome... :-(( Thanks in advance.
How can I print a picture from Bridge without having to create a PDF?I just want something quick and dirty. I have been creating screen captures but then have to round up the files and delete.
HelloI have "kewords" in the metadata of my pjeg files coming from the days of using Picasa! When I moved to PSE, I did not select them at import time, and therefore they do appear in my keywords structure I manage under PSE... So far so good.Recently I decided to copy the metadata (PSE ctrl W) to my files and to install Bridge.Bad news, all the keywords (old and new) sit together and make a mess . PSE "crtl W" do not erase existing keywords but just add the new ones. The simplest thing would be to remove all the tags and do the "crtl W" again... But in Bridge I did not find a way to do that in batch mode but only file by file ... with 50000 photos a batch solution would be welcome (even working at folder level woul be acceptable).Does this function exist ? I could not find it in the user guide. Thanks for your help Alain
Why does Adobe Bridge show different dimensions and resolution for PNG files compared to what is shown in Photoshop, while other file formats (like JPG, TIFF) are consistent? How can I make Adobe Bridge read the dimensions and resolution of PNG files the same way as Photoshop does?
I'm not sure if this has been an issue for anyone else, but every time (starting last night) when I export CR3 files and turn them into jpgs, an error message pops up. It says "unsupported format," which I do not understand. I have been doing the same workflow for years without issue! Any insight or assistance would be greatly appreciated.
This not the first time - extremly painfull if youa are a working pro . The script is so old - yet the only one that saves images in different sizes / formats and includes proper actions on export Why is this script not included in standard install is difficult to understand
(Also see Stephen Marsh's post in the Photoshop Ecosystem topic)I'd like to see the XMP Plus "Data Mining" field added as a selectable parameter in Bridge's Metadata panel. It allows users to allow or disallow data mining of the image, such as for generative AI training. Other XMP Plus fields, such as the "Licensor" field are already supported in Bridge. Information from the IPTC can be found here: https://www.iptc.org/std/photometadata/documentation/userguide/#_data_miningAnd the Specification can be found here: https://ns.useplus.org/LDF/ldf-XMPSpecification#DataMining
Hi there,Can anyone help me with a script to change filenames from:SURNAME Firstname.psdtoSurname Firstname.psdThanks for any help.
Hi, I'm on released version 14.0.0.102 using Windows 11 Just realized that Labelling in full screen review mode doesn't work, just like in the early 13 version. This is making my selection and review workflow very slow 😞 Any fixes coming soon?
I have used "bridge cc 2017", and this application always "not responding" when I click for navigating the image in any folders. Waiting for 20 - 30 seconds, it will come back to be used and will back to "not responding" again forever. How do I solve this problem? Please.
Sort by Dimensions (plural) in Bridge doesn't sort by taking BOTH dimensions into account. If I want to find the images with the longest side, then the sorting doesn't work. It only looks at the image height. In other words, at this time, it should be called SORT BY PIXEL HEIGHT. Example: An image with a pixel dimension (WxH) of 7360 x 4912 gets ranked as a smaller dimension than one with a dimension of 7184 x 5310 pixels. That's because it's comparing the 2nd dimension, the width. (This has nothing to do with RESOLUTION, and there's already a sort for that. That one's all about the total number of pixels, or Length times Width.APPLICATION: I have a directory of digital images (scanned from film) and I want to rescan the ones that are at a lowest resolution. Thanks for your help with this obvious bug.
Can I select photos using a word within the full path on the drive as a filter?
When I try to edit and save the metadata (e.g. Description field) in a webp file, I get an error message saying "There was an error writing metadata to xxxx". This occurs only with webp files. Bridge version 12.0.3.270 on Windows.
Helo, I am experiencing a serious issue with color display in Adobe Bridge, which I have been trying to solve for a long time, but nothing has worked so far.JPG and GIF files display incorrect colors on both the thumbnails and the preview (for JPG, the thumbnail and preview show incorrect colors, while for GIF the thumbnail is incorrect, but the preview is correct).PNG and PSD files display colors correctly, both in the thumbnails and the preview. Here’s what I have tried so far:Cleared the cache.Reset the Bridge preferences (by holding Ctrl + Shift + Alt while starting Bridge).Cleared the thumbnail cache.Reinstalled Bridge.Tried color synchronization with Adobe Creative Cloud apps. The issue persists, but I’ve noticed that when I right-click on a JPG file thumbnail and select “Clear Cache for Selected Item,” the thumbnail color displays correctly for a second, but the preview still shows the incorrect color. Once I switch between applications or return to Bridge, the thumbnail color is
