Hi I am currently having a problem where After Effects ruins all audio that is imported in MP4'sWhen a MP4 is imported is shows the correct wave form in the project manager however whenever I bring it into a composition it ruins the output and the only thing I can hear is pure static and distortionIf i try to import a MP3 File the entire program  crashes or I get this error 

First of all, I've seen this issue from at least 2024.1 to 2024.3 on macOS Ventura 13.6, but I'd suspect that it's probably been present on both OSes for quite a while due to the nature of it. So, there's an odd, but very specific glitch I've run across a couple of times now. I've just figured out a fix, I think, but here's how to repeat. 1. In a precomp, set up a text layer and drag its source text to the comp's Essential Graphics.2. Duplicate that text layer. Add a text animator. I'm using opacity to reveal my text.3. Add any of the range controls from the text animator to the Essential Graphics panel.4. Put that precomp into another comp and animate the range Essential Property.5. Instead of animating smoothly, the text pops on from an arbitrary selection (i.e. not from the first character if you animate from 0-100%) and the selection glitches back and forth rapidly. What seems to be happening is that, instead of treating the source text of that layer as its own thing

I've been building a comp in AE with two .glb models in it using the Advanced 3D renderer...  Imported the comp into a Premiere Pro seequence and nothing would show up in the program monitor, just a black screen.  Tried using "render and replace" and it has been stuck at the "analyzing project" for 10 minutes or so.  I am guessing this functionality isn't supported yet? Guess I will avoid dynamic link entirely and just render out of AE...  I am on a 16-inch 2021 M1 MBP. 

Heyo, so the issue I have that keeps popping up is each time I go to make a new project in After Effects an image keeps popping up as the background no matter how many times I try to change the color of the background. It wouldn't be an issue, if it didn't also show up in rendering. Making me have to add a black or colored shape to hide it. I have closed the project quite a few times, but it still persists.I wanted to know if anyone else has encountered this weird bug, and how they got past it? Or if I have to uninstall and reinstall after effects.Any imput is welcome, thank you!Here is what a new comp looks like when I load one in. 

It's desperating that everytime I update After effects I lose all my setting: workspaces shortcuts, grid & label colors,... It's been years with the same problem and yet it goes on with this bug. Please, stop deleting existing settings! Or at least give us a chance to keep them! I lose one morning of work with every update trying to leave the app with the adjustements I feel comfortable with.

The lumetri color effect seems to be destroyed after updating from 24.2.1 to 24.3. on my MacBook Pro M1 Max (Sonoma 14.3.1). All colors of an actual project are washed out now without changing any settings so I have to switch back to 24.2.1. 

Hello all,I have the same darn problem everytime I have to update After Effects: it wont start/ it freezes. Later on there wil be a patch/update and than the issue is resolved. However, i experiance this every single time and this means I usually can't work with After Effets for about a week. And I am tired of this.  I would apreciate any help i can get. These are the steps to recreate my problem: 1. Just try and start it......2. It wont go past loading screen 3. if it does and I try safe mode or another option it just freezes This is what I try to fix the problem:1. Empty cache folder2. Re-install 3. Install older version 4. Instal new gpu drivers5. Update gpu drivers6. Complete unistall of adobe 7. re-install of adobe8. Ofcoarse restarting the pc   

Hello, I've been using after effects for years, the 2023 update made text editing and rendering really really slow. I sometimes have to wait more than 20 seconds to see two poor words appear. (with a standard comp 1920*1080 25fps) It is impossible for me to work in these conditions. I did the same test on after effects 2022 and I have no problem, text editing is smooth and rendering is fast. So it's not related to my computer. Please fix this. 

Though I love the idea of having a template load up when I create a new project (Preferences > New Project), its current implementation makes it kind of unusable.  The issue is that whenever I load up AE, it also loads up the New Project template and 99% of the time, I don't want to start a new project, I want to pick up where I left off on my current working project. All it's doing is slowing down AE's load time and forcing me to close out a project I never wanted in the first place. If I turn on the Home Screen option (Preferences > Startup Options > Enable Home Screen), that overrides the New Project setting but I don't want that either as it's just another screen that I never wanted in the first place to close out of. So the current workaround is to just turn it off altogether as it's that annoying. So I've basically been annoyed out of using a function that would otherwise be quite useful. The ideal functionality would be to load the New Project templa

My client gave me a video .mov to add in a After Effect comp. There is a logo integrated in the video. When I open the video in QuickTime or photoshop, everithing looks fine. Whene I import the video in After Effect or Première Pro, the logo is super pixellated but only the logo. The rest of the image is clean. Any Idea ?Thanks !

Hey guys, I'm currently making motion graphics for a client with AE and I imported a 3D object which I made via blender. As the file was a .glb it was compatible. It was working perfectly fine until it was time to export the video with media encoder. The 3D object had disappeared from the video, and when I went back to AE to investigate the 3D object had turned into a cube. It is meant to be the globe of the earth.Any suggestions on how to solve this?

Hello. I've been trying to export a video from AE to AME (in H.264)  It previews fine but when I play the exported result it looks like this:         The video I've tried exporting has some rotoscoping and effects in it.I've tried:*exporting it without the effects and the rotoscoping*playing it on different computers and different software (e.g. VLC)*exporting it on different computers*exporting it from AE directly*creating a solid below all my layers in the AE comp*exporting a raw video with no edits*updating all software to the lastest version (v24.3)and nothing seems to fix the issue. Everything I try to export looks like this and I've browsed all Adobe Community trying to find a solution. If someone could please help me I would appreciate it.  

Boris FX Mocha does not work neither on After effects 2024 or 2023. Well actually, it does open but shut down immediatly.I tried to uninstall et install many versions of After effects, to disable all types firewalls, disconnect from the Wi-Fi. Can someone help me please?  Pc: Alienware, Windows 11 (updated) , AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX with Radeon Graphics 3.30 GH(upated) , 32,0 Go de Mémoire RAM (31,4 Go utilisable)   

Hello! I recently finished a motion graphics composition using After Effects 24.1, but as I went to render it out, I noticed it had a bug in it. The final render "stopped" about a third of the way in, but then the assets continued like normal. I originally chalked it up to being a result of high render settings, codec problems, Media Encoder, etc. until I actually checked the comp in After Effects. This is something that I don't think I've encountered before: I've screen recorded what the effect is intended to look like, versus what it looks like at full resolution. I've tried to embed the YouTube video, but it's unfortunately telling me I can't. Based on the preview resolution of my composition, the intended effect just doesn't seem to work? I didn't notice this until I went to export it in 4K as I was working in quarter res, but it's very frustrating as this is the last step. The effect that seems to be getting caught up is the Layer Styles effect "Outer Glow," wh

AE 2024 & AE (Beta) 24.4.0x28When you have multiple compositions open with selected layers, the effect panel glitches when you click on the top menu.The bug isn't systematic, it mainly occurs in large projects.   

I have uploaded the error message.Please advise us on which type of hardware we have to update.

When i save or import a preset for some reason the keyframes do not appear it shows the stopwatch being selected but the keyframes are not ther3e this has never been an issue before but is really starting to stress me out as im trying to edit right now and cant ive searched all over youtube and found nothing i had just made a shake and gone to save it i then tried to import it via apply animation preset but it didnt work and all the keyframes were lost at first i thought there was a problem with how i was saving it but then i went to import a preset which i had purchased from a friend and the keyframes did not appear on that either i was confused so i tried it on another preset where it worked this has left me very annoyed and i cant find an answer anywhere could anyone tell me what im doing wrong or how to fix this as i have re installed ae countless times and searched everywhere with no success any help would be extremely appreciated thak you.

Issue - The performance of After Effects drops significantly when attempting to change the fill and stroke colors of multiple selected shape layers while the Properties Panel is open and visible. When using the color picker, AE takes multiple seconds to update and has even completely frozen at times. The performance drop increases as more shape layers are selected. If the properties panel is open, but not visible, the expected performance returns. Adobe After Effects Version Number - 23.6.0 (Build 62) Operating System - Windows 10 Steps to Reproduce Open the attached .aepMake the Properties Panel active and visibleSelect all of the shape layers in the comp named "Scenery"Attempt to change the fill or stroke color of the selected layers using the toolbarRepeat steps 3 and 4 with the properties panel closed Expected result - AE will quickly change the colors of the selected layers, with little to no lag, with or without the Properties Panel being open.&

When I am doing 3D animation and change the Comp view from "1 View" to "2 Views" the audio won't play during previews.  Switch back to "1 View" and the audio will play.  Very sure it's a bug, just wanted to report it.  I'm on a 2013 Mac Pro  running OS 12.6.3 on AE version 23.2.0 Build 65

Really painfull Bug, when you add any keyframe with shortcut to (selected) layer automaticaly deselect all so if you want to add scale and then position to SELECTED adds scale property but when you add position you have to select them again. Also if you Ctrl+z the undo action steps into every single layer one at a time not all at once.Please Fix it

AE 23.4.0Windows10 When applying an animation preset to a layer, the .ffx historically sets the dimensionsSeparated property of the target layer when it is required to property apply the preset. AE 23.4 now fails to do this.Steps to reproduce:create a solidseparate position dimensionsadd a key to x, y, positionsselect properties and Save Animation Preset and save file.create a new solid with non-separated dimensions.Apply new preset. It will fail to take effect.Attempting on an earlier release will properly separate dimensions to the target layer to apply the preset.

I found multiple possible solutions to this bug (from clean cache to the change of renderer) but none one them worked. NONE.Yesterday I spent 4 hours with adobe support but no solution was found.This bug happens whenever I enable multiple effects to the timeline which multiple layers.This bug happens to all M1 and Intel Macbooks of the company. https://streamable.com/cb4fzw Can anybody find a way to fix it ?

I've been seeing issues with Cmd-H ever since upgrading to Ventura, but unlike the Save As… dialog cursor bug, I haven't seen this one mentioned elsewhere. AE often fails to hide when I use Cmd-H. The UI focus shifts to the Finder, but the AE window remains visible. If I minimize AE, undocked panels remain visible and cause issues. Using the menu command After Effects > Hide After Effects seems to work more consistently than the keyboard shortcut, though that may be coincidence. The problem as a whole is intermittent, not constant, so it's hard to test and provide specific detailed descriptions.
