The count for people in Lightroom CC only shows 3 digits unless you scroll over the count in which case is shows four digits. For example, I have over 1152 photos on my wife, but it shows only 115 unless I put the mouse cursor over the number.
When dragging photos to geotag them in the map module, it will work for a photo or two then nothing visible happens for subsequent photos. The map also does not respond to zooming, panning nor direct input of a place in the location filter/search box. However, the overview map top-left does respond. Further, if a photo is dragged to the main map, it does get geotagged, evidently based on what the main map window should be showing, based on the location shown in the overview. This bug existed in the previous version as well - very dismayed that it is persisting in 7.0.
Since the last LR update, images have been "stuck" in the Develop module. It happens regularly, but so far I've been unable to identify a triggering event. For example, I was editing an image in Develop this morning. Then went to the Library module and selected a different image. When I clicked back to Develop, the original image I'd been working on was still displayed. Clicking any other module displayed the new image I wanted to work on, but the Develop module continued to display the original image. (Note: I don't necessarily have to select an image in Library to make this happen - sometimes just selecting a new image while still in Develop will yield a stuck image.) If I try to make edits to the image, it is the new image that gets the changes, not the stuck image, so it's only an issue with the previewed image. The only current fix for this is to close and reopen LR. When I do, the image that I wanted to work on is now displayed.I understand from Victoria Brampton that you ma

I found a small bug in the program I think. When I start building smart previews for a wedding, everything looks okay. In the progress bar to the upper left, it shows the current photo it's working on (like 107 out of 3000) or whatever. However, if I go to smaller folder and begin a second round smart previews at the same time, then both tasks show the same total amount of photos. So the wedding album will start looking weird like "1000 out of 600" as if it's working on 400 extra photos that don't exist hehe. I've attached a screenshot of the issue.
When exporting from the print module - either via a printer or print to file - using the "Photo Border" setting results in Lightroom stretching images, distorting the final product. Using "Inner Stroke" does not exhibit the same issue and functions as a workaround. In the attached example I've included two screenshots. The file in this example is an image that was printed to a jpeg from Lightroom. On the left I used "Inner Stroke" during export, on the right I used "Photo Border." The guides seen were added in Photoshop for illustrative purposes. As you can see, the eye and chin guide are relatively unaffected. The side guides have not moved but the face has expanded far beyond the guides. I'm running Lightroom CC 2015.9 on macOS Sierra.
Whenever I open adobe Lightroom for Mac there is a small white dot in the lower left corner of my Mac display. I freaked out the first time because even when I minimized the app it was still there. Thought I had a bad pixel or something. Terminating the app makes the dot go away. I even youtube'd recent videos of people using Lightroom and that same white dot is there. Anyone know what this is? Im assuming its a simple bug and am wondering if both Mac and windows users are experiencing the same thing. Appreciate any feedback. Thanks!
Much of the LrDevelopController API is broken in languages other than English German or Swedish. When a user switches the language to one of the above, the plugins work normally. See https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/midi2lr/BSk7LVw7GTY for a conversation regarding this.[Update: see this reply for details and how to reproduce: https://feedback.photoshop.com/photoshop_family/topics/the-new-release-of-lr-classic-has-a-broken-ap.... -- John R. I have latest Lightroom CC, Sierra on Mac.When I move the slider or enter a new value to preselect gradient properties - for example increase exposure by 1.0 - Lightroom crashes. If I apply the gradient with the default value first and then change the value after it has been applied, Lightroom doesn't crash.

Videos used to import ok (unless they were recorded without sound, who knows why those didn't import), but as of about 1 month ago none of my videos import, and I get this error, "The movie files contain no video frames."Here is a link to 2 sample videos I recorded (4k and 1080p, each with different fps to see if that makes a difference for anyone testing this): https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0By2jdagg930aVUVudHlBT0s5MEE?usp=sharingThank you for any insights!
The filmstrip no longer works, the first time it is used in the Library module: it is visible and you can select images, but it does not show the corresponding image on the second screen, nor on the first screen in the grid view. The only way to get a new image is to click on the grid itself or use the arrow keys.I did reset my preferences, but that didn't help.Strangely enough the problem is solved once you switch to the Develop module and back. When trying to restart Lightroom it crashed upon exit using Ctrl Q. After starting it again the problem was not reproducible.
I realize the following problem with Lightroom V6.1.1 after migrating my MacBook Pro to Mac OS-X El Capitan: MacBook Pro Retina is the Main Monitor and NEC MultiSync PA271W is the 2nd Monitor. Both Monitors are calibrated using Xrite i1 Profiler and I verified that the correct ICC-Profiles are associated with the Monitors (Mac OS-X System Configuration space). In the Library Module everything is fine, but when I switch to the Development Module, the image on the 2nd Monitor gets dull after some seconds. Stepping forward one image, the image on the 2nd Monitor brightens up and gets dull again after some seconds.
As far as I am aware this is a new issue with the new Classic version installed today. If you rotate an image, or group of selected images in the Library all appear to rotate, then some revert to their original orientation. Cannot at present spot any consistent pattern as to which of multiple images are affected. Trying to rotate these images subsequently over-rotates them. Opening a 'incorrectly rotated' image in Develop shows it in the correctly rotated orientation, but still shows it in the original position in the library. Subsequent rotation seems to solve the problem, but it's not a solution. How did this get through Beta?
If I select any image from library grid view, any operation always applies to the first image, be that setting flags, ratings or anything. Also selecting an image and switching to develop opens the first image and not the selected image. Selecting from film strip works, but grid view works like the selection is always just the first image, regardless of what is actually selected. The selection is shown correctly, but all operations are applied to wrong image. Also auto advance always advances to the second image and not the next to the selected one.Needless to say this has worked fine with all earlier LR versions since 3.0...
I've upgraded to a new Aspire V17 nitro 4K Ultra HD.I've had trouble with small text in Lr CC (fully updated) on the Aspire.I got around some of the small font size using Windows 10 settings. But still a problem is in the dialog box that opens when emailing photos from Lr directly. The photos appear so tiny they're not discernible. The icons for setting text appearance in the message area of the email are tiny as well and appears partially blocked out by the upper left portion of the box where text is written. Also the pointer actuated tools in Develop mode are tiny and barely discernable. I hope I made that understandable enough. This is not a problem in my old Toshiba Satellite laptop that has Lr CC as well. Enclosed screen shot of the email dialog box.
When I move the cursor from the Library grid view to the Keyword List in the right hand panel the cursor picks up and locks on to the horizontal double headed arrow used to change panel width. It doesn't change to the normal cursor as it should.
Photo import from iphone to Lightroom 6 fails after updating on iOS 10.2. I'm using Lightroom 6 for Mac running on Macbook Pro/El Capitan. Photo import from iphone to Lightroom did work properly until the last iOS update. Now photos are not listed to choose them for import when I choose my iphone as source in the import dialogue. It's funny but when I switch off and then switch on the iphone while it is connected to the macbook, photos will appear listed in the import dialogue. But: when I start to import the picture files, Lightroom will freeze. I found a forum post on the apple help page, describing similar problems with Image Capture. I contacted apple and they told me I have to wait for the next lightroom update. this is the apple forum link: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/7786461?start=0&tstart=0Please, Adobe, guys, help me, make me happy again. Release a Lightroom Update fixing this bug as soon as possible. I'm just a hobby photographer but nevertheless I'm taking my ph
This request pertains to Lightroom 3.4.1...In the Print module to add text, I click the "Identity Plate" and start typing my text...the problem comes when I want to skip a line or wrap to the next line. In Scott Kelby's book "Lightroom 3", page 340, paragraph titled "Step One" it says to ."...press Alt-Enter twice to move down two lines." This is for a PC. For MAC it says "...press Option-Return" I contacted NAPP about this and they say it is a bug that Adobe needs to fix for PC users (apparently it does work for MAC users but not for PC users). Can you please fix this or tell me if there is a work-around to the problem. I really need to add more than one line of text when printing my images using Lightroom3. Thank you.
I am attempting to create high resolution HDR Tilt-Shift Panoramas with Lightroom's Merge To HDR and Merge To Panorama functions. I have taken multiple images with a tilt-shift lens on a Canon 5Ds. Each finished photograph would be composed from 15 or 21 separate images. I take 5 or 7 photographs, 1 stop apart, from the center position then 5 or 7 from the shift right position and the same from the shift left position. Each set of 5 or 7 is merged to hdr to create one dng file. This process works fine. The resulting 3 hdr images are then merged to panorama which completes successfully. When I switch to the develop module or open the panorama file in camera raw I get a message stating "The file appears to be damaged". I have reproduced this error on different computers. My Lightroom version is the 2015.4 Release and Camera Raw is v9.4. Both computers are running Windows 10. It seems to me that Lightroom is struggling with the large file sizes coming from the 5Ds. Has anyone else experie
Right clicking on a Collection name in Library module and choosing Lightroom mobile Links > Private Link: View on Web does NOT take to the Collection in question but instead to the All Photos in Lightroom Web.Is this just me or is it a bug in LR CC 2015.12?macOS 10.12.5
I realize a little worry that could prove very troublesome:- Deve
Hi, Software: Lightroom 5.5Platform: Mac OS X 10.9.4 (I think I have the problem since 10.8+ and LR 5.0)Step to reproduce:Import photosPick a drive, and a directory in the Destination panelClick on (+) on the panel titleCreate a directory inside the selected directoryClick ChooseThe view of the current tree structure doesn't refresh with the change.Workaround: close the import window and re-open.
After upgrading to 2015.12 release on Windows 10, moving between Library and Develop causes Lightroom to stop working and shuts down. Happens every few seconds. Using AMD WX7100, with current driver and previous. Only solution is to turn off gpu processing.
The Add button is missing from the fields Location Created and Image Supplier in the IPTC Extension tagset of the Library Metadata panel. The standard allows these fields to contain multiple values, and LR correctly displays multiple values in imported images. But LR doesn't allow you to add additional values because of the missing Add button:
