Hi, I'm giving Lightroom a try after years using Capture One. I've been doing some strong light still lives using Phase One's Extended capture, which adds 3 stops of dynamic range, blending two exposures in camera, which can give very dark files when exposing to highlights. The shadows raise fine in C1 but are turning magenta in LR. I haven't tried non extended capture files in Lightroom yet as I'm most interested in making use of the 18 stop (it is said) extended capture files. I've attached a screenshot which doesn't render the HDR the file was developed in, but shows the magenta cast which happens mostly in the corners, which is interesting, as if it were a lens cast issue... but the lens is a 90mm Rodenstock on a BSI, I think it's called, sensor which generally doesn't require a lens cast correction, but maybe a LCC would help in this case, but Lightroom doesn't offer LCC that I know of so I don't know how I would use a lens cast corrected file made in Capture one in Lightroom as t

I'm a wedding photographer who uses LR CC for culling extensively and this latest update did something to screw up the UI making culling unbearable. 1. Swiping between photos used to be snappy and quick, now it's almost as if it's holding the image during the entire swipe, which is making swipes much slower. 2. Swiping up/down for flagging used to be much more sensitive, and now the action has to be very exaggerated to register a flagging action. 3. Swiping up/down for flagging is often getting misinterpreted as a swipe to the left or right. This wasn't an issue before and now suddenly is. When using Lightroom in Google pixel 9 pro fold, the app performs as expected except for opening/editing images on the inside screen. You can browse albums, and such, and edit images on the outer screen, but it shows nothing but black (with side bars and editing tools still showing though)
My iPhone automatically add the GPS data. When I import these photos into Lightroom, Lightroom automatically fills in the City, State/Province and Country metadata fields. I than manually add the metadata in the Location field. I also add Title, Caption, Keywords and make adjustments to the photos. When I archive the album locally and view the archived album on Local Browse, all the metadata carries over except City, State/Province and Country (the metadata automatically added from the GPS location). I tested this on both on both heic and dng files. Please adjust the archive locally function so that it retains these three metadata fields upon archive. Thank you.
Issue: Adobe Lightroom Dutch translation error Lightroom Version Number: 7.4.1 (Mac App Store) OS Version Number: macOS 14.5 Steps to reproduce: Set the app language to Dutch Open the Adobe Lightroom (Cloud-based) app Observe the naming of Cloud/Local at the right-top Expected result: Cloud to be not translated literallyActual result: Wolk currently Cloud is literally translated: Wolk, in Dutch this is only an actual cloud in the air, not the internet cloud Please revise the Dutch localization and change Wolk back to Cloud. Hi, I use the LR mobile version. If i open a video in LR, one of my presets will automatically applied on the video... if i tap and hold on the video I can't even see the original one. I don't see any changes in colour or light panel... even if i save the video on my device like that, I see the original video. So it's only visible when opening the video in LR. I checked the app settings- import- Raw default setting and "Camera settings" is selected (no Preset) Could you please help me? Thank you in advance
Hello everyone. I have been using Lightroom Classic for a brief time, much to my enjoyment. What has been a very big plus is that LrC has always imported DNG files with the in-camera presets attached to them, so I can edit the DNG file with my camera settings, i.e. film simulation, already embedded.All of a sudden LrC and Lr show me the DNG files as if I had only been shooting raw, not raw+jpeg. It does not matter what settings I try fiddling with and I have been unable to find any answers online. I could find a setting in Lr for embedding the camera settings to the raw-file, and a similar setting in LrC, but it doesn't work even with the setting on.This used to be how the program worked by default but now it's gone. And this issue means I would have to edit the jpegs for printing, so this is quite a big problem for me.Any ideas on how to solve this problem?
In the past week something has changed. I've always shared the link to albums and check to allow downloads. As of last week viewers cannot hold down to save the image or save to device. It only gives the option to download and the you have to go into your downloads to save . Anyone else experiencing this?
I was editing this morning and everything was fine. Then I saw an app update, downloaded/installed, and went back to work. Now I can no longer resize my frames in masking mode which increases my workload erasing masking areas from the edges. iPhone 15 Pro Max w/ iOS 17.6.1 installed
I'm having issues with shooting raw with the iPhone 13 Pro in Lightroom Mobile. Whenever I try to take a macro wide shot using the wide lens it doesn't save at all when I'm in DNG mode but as soon as focus further back it does work. Seems like some weird bugs going on with the ultra wide angle raw on Lightroom Mobile. {title modified by Moderator; the issue is not specific to one generation of iPhone macro camera}
Today, I noticed that when exporting a photo, the same photo that previously had altitude information now has lost it. Now, I use the iPhone Camera app to take photos, which include altitude data, but after importing the photo into Lightroom and exporting it, the altitude information disappears. I’ve been using the “Export As” feature each time.
I can't select the white balance, using the picker. After clicking on the White Balance picker, any move to go graph it result in it disappearing. Lightroom 9.5.0 793255/164 iPad M4 Pro 13 on 17.6.1 Reproduced with: Magic Keyboard trackpad + Pencil Pro. Only way to work: using fingers. Basically, anything recognized as mouse movement (which the new Pencil Pro does when hovering) will cancel the picker. iPad M1 Pro 12.9: reproduced as well using external mouse. Video attached. First 2 tries: Pencil. Last: trackpad. Edit: i'm almost sure I selected "bug" when posting, but it doesn't seem to have kept it. If somebody can change it to Bug, thanks.
1) Click and hold a slider thumb under photo editing, for example in the "Light" or "Color" area, without moving or sliding the mouseExpected behaviour The thumb (the round button to control values by dragging along the track) should stay in it's initial position, wherever on the thumb the user clicks. Actual behaviour The thumb automatically jumps over to the right, suddenly changing the slider value. This is unexpected behaviour, it should stay put until the mouse cursor moves, and then follow the mouse cursor position in the horizontal movements. I'm guessing that in the underlying UI, on click the thumb is being set to the mouse cursor position without taking into account the width of the thumb (half the width of the thumb should be subtracted from the mouse position in order for the thumb to be centered on the mouse cursor). But actually that would not even work perfectly, if the user clicks slightly off center it would still jump a little bit to center the thum
When trying to import photos from my SD card Lightroom CC is stuck at the phase "Checking free space on disk". The local storage is on my LAN NAS (FreeNAS) with more than enough free space. Also local hard drive is full of free space. Windows can see the correct free space on both NAS and local drive.Import of the same files from the same SD card to Lightroom 6.0 is working without any problems.Update: after several minutes the import continued but was very slow.Working with LR CC is becoming unacceptable, if those issues are not fixed in a month I'm giving up on the subscription. It's not worth it. I lose less time with moving my files via USB disk and sharing on Google Photos rather than relying on Adobe Cloud...
I have the following problem. Lightroom app on my dekstop does start up, but if I select a random photo and then click on it to enlarge it, Lightroom closes immediately. I uninstalled and redownloaded it but the problem remains. I do not have this problem in the online photo editor Lightroom. Does anyone know a solution?
Hi everybody, think this is my first post here so please bear with me. I wonder why when I double tap on a photo in Lightroom on my iPhone I get a 100% zoom in pretty good quality whereas on my iPad Pro 12" and Lightroom CC on my Macbook Pro 13" I can only zoom in to about 67%? I only have SmartPreviews in my Cloud btw.
When I import one of my preset pack ZIP files into LRM v9.4 on my iPad Pro, it seems to import correctly. However, the individual preset names are wildly long. They adopt a [Group Name] / [Preset Name] naming convention. More importantly, none of the presets support the Amount slider. This is also true when the presets sync to LRD. None of the presets support the Amount slider there as well.Oddly enough, everything works as expected when importing the same ZIP file directly into LR Desktop. The Presets display the names I prescribed when they were first saved, and each preset supports the Amount slider.Steps to Reproduce:1. Import the attached ZIP file into LRM v9.42. Tap to apply a preset.Actual Result: The preset is applied but does not support the Amount slider, which should be.Expected Result: The preset gets applied AND supports the Amount slider.Any Workarounds: Delete the group and import the ZIP file using LRD.System Info: iPad Pro M1 - Lightroom Mobile v9.4 Build: 9.4
Hey 🙂 I am stuck for a few days on "Syncing 1 item". I have tried a lot of stuff recommended here on forums, like: - catalog re-download - restarting - filter by syncing items (empty) - checking deleted folder (empty) In a diagnostic report, under in Syncing and Error Assets it says: "NeedsDevelopXmpDownloaded" for one image that is not present in the catalog. It is same for my Windows and macOS catalog. Any ideas?
Hello, I updated Lightroom after updating the operating system to the Sequoia macOS 15 beta 2 developer version. Now Lightroom 7.4.1 goes into crash as soon as you click on the "blur with lens" checkbox. Any workaround, please? I would like to understand if it is a problem with my macbook pro M3 or a bug. thank you! Salvo
I use Lightroom on an iPad Pro. When I go to my feed after posting a picture on the Discover feed and select that picture it gives me the error "your edits are still processing. It might take a minute". now this message is constant. It's happening on my iPad and iPhone. Request the team to provide a resolution.
I am experiencing something and wanted to confirm if anyone else is. On the latest release Lightroom CC 7.3 Desktop and Web, once I create and apply a preset, the amount slider briefly appears and then disappears entirely. Third party presets do not show this bug. I can only see this with my own, created after the update. Can anyone recreate this? Additonal info: It doesn't matter how simple the preset is, sometimes just a single adjust like increasing shadows, for example. tested on DNG and ACR RAW files. Error when trying to open a photo from Lightroom into Photoshop. I was on a live chat with an Adobe agent for hours today. They remoted into my laptop and tried a bunch of things. They then uninstalled my Adobe apps and reinstalled them. During the installation, the agent ended the chat. Once the apps were installed I tried to open the Lightroom photo in Photoshop and got the same error. I got into another live chat with a different Adobe agent who started to look through the transcript of my previous chat. They then said they were looking through the troubleshooting steps the previous agent had taken. After quite some time (10 or 20 minutes) they disconnected the chat. So, I got on chat again and got a new Adobe agent. They asked me the same questions that the other 2 agents asked so I asked this agent if they were able to go back through my last chats to see the issue. After another 10 or 20 minutes this agent disconnected the chat. Needless to say I am pretty unhappy
