Photoshop Beta 27.9 on Apple MBP M1 Max running OSX Tahoe 26.5.2When I look at an image in Lightroom it looks as it should, however when I open it in Photoshop it appears very bright, as if a curves or gamma has been applied to it. If I open the “covert to profile” menu the preview looks normal. If I turn proof colors on it appears as it should. However with proofing off it returns to it’s very bright state. Same as with anything that shows a preview, preview looks normal. I tried Sony ARW raw files and tif’s, no difference. It was ok on Friday, problem started with open today, July 13th.See attached screenshots Any advice on how to resolve this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
After updating Photoshop Beta to version 27.10.0, all RGB PSD documents appear significantly brighter/overexposed.The same PSD files display correctly in the current release version of Photoshop on the same Mac.SystemMacBook Pro 16-inch (2021) Apple M1 Pro 16 GB RAM macOS Tahoe 26.5.2External monitor:ASUS PA279 (4K via HDMI)The issue occurs on both:Built-in Liquid Retina XDR display External ASUS PA279Tests performedSame PSD files display correctly in the release version of Photoshop. Problem exists only in Photoshop Beta. Proof Colors changes the rendering and makes the image appear much closer to the correct colors. Disabling GPU Compositing does NOT solve the issue. Disabling OpenCL does NOT solve the issue. Disabling "Use Graphics Processor" completely fixes the problem.Expected behaviorRGB documents should display identically to the release version of Photoshop with GPU acceleration enabled.Actual behaviorWith GPU enabled, RGB documents appear washed out / overexposed.
Product: Photoshop Beta 27.9.0, 27.10.0 (and previous version .8?)OS: Windows 11 Pro 25H2 26200.8655If the image is in Greyscale Mode, choosing the Selection Brush shows a circular selection brush as expected, but holding down the mouse button doesn’t select anything - no magenta overlay is shown, nothing is selected. Switching to the Marquee Tool confirms that nothing was actually selected. Converting the image to RGB immediately makes selection brush work properly. Converting it back to Greyscale makes it stop working immediately, nothing else needs to be done. Selection brush hardness and opacity are at 100%, size doesn’t matter. This has been working fine for years but broke about a week and a half ago.It still works correctly in Photoshop Mainline 27.8.0.
Photoshop (Beta) — Remove Tool Performance RegressionI'm reporting a specific, reproducible regression in the Remove tool in the current Beta build (27.10.0) that I've diagnosed as thoroughly as I can from the user side.SummaryThe Remove tool, which previously worked quickly and well in this Beta build, has stopped functioning correctly. It now takes several minutes to remove even a tiny selected area, regardless of settings. The same operation completes instantly in the standard (non-Beta) release of Photoshop on the same machine, same file, same hardware.TimelineThe tool was working correctly. At some point it stopped — without any update on my part (no Photoshop version change, no graphics driver update, no known Windows update). I cannot pin down exactly when it broke, only that no deliberate change preceded the failure.SystemNVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti, correctly detected in Photoshop's Graphics Processor Settings, "Use Graphics Processor" enabled, GPU used normally elsewhere in th
Photoshop version: Photoshop Beta 27.10OS: macOS Tahoe 26.5Steps to reproduceLaunch Photoshop Beta 27.10. Open an existing TIFF file. The image appears heavily overexposed on open, despite the file displaying correctly in the regular release of Photoshop.Expected result:TIFF files should open with the correct exposure and match how they render in the regular version of Photoshop.Actual result:Some TIFF files open with a severely overexposed preview in Photoshop Beta. The image data itself is unchanged—only the rendering in Beta is incorrect.Additional information:The issue began immediately after updating to Photoshop Beta 27.10. I've been working with the new Light Adjustment layer recently, so it's possible there's a connection, although I haven't been able to verify that.

Photoshop Beta 27.9 - When invoking the Sky Replacement module (Edit > Sky Replacement) the brightness slider is not functional, although it moves freely, there is no visible change in the preview, nor is any brightness to the sky visible when applied. All other slider functions within the Sky Replacement panel function normally. The same feature (sky replacement brightness slider) works normally in non-beta version of Photoshop v 27.8.
Toolbar icons not rendering/showing blank after latest Beta update. Steps to reproduce:1. Updated Photoshop Beta via Creative Cloud last week2. Since then, all toolbar icons show blank/empty (left toolbar panel)3. Tried: uninstall + reinstall, Creative Cloud reset, Windows Essential reset — issue persists4. Photoshop Stable version works fine, only Beta affectedSystem: Windows, GPU set to Basic mode — still broken

Clone Stamp Tool brush preview disappears and turns into a mouse pointer on new layers (Windows Beta) It's both version 27.8 and 27.9. App version: Photoshop Beta (Windows)OS: WindowsIssue Description:When using the Clone Stamp Tool (S) on a newly created blank layer, the brush circle preview completely disappears and changes into a mouse pointer/arrow instead. This makes it impossible to see the brush size or the area I am sampling.Steps to reproduce:Create a new blank layer above the background layer. Select the Clone Stamp Tool and set Sample to "Current & Below" or "All Layers". Move the cursor over the canvas. The brush ring disappears and turns into a mouse cursor. What I have already tried (but did not work):Checked Caps Lock (It is turned off). Changed Layers Panel Options -> Thumbnail Content to "Entire Document". Closed and reopened the Layers Panel. Reset the Clone Stamp tool settings. The issue persists only in the Beta version when working on a new layer. Please hel
In Adobe Photoshop, the updated Canvas Size dialog fails to record relative dimensions when recording an Action. This works correctly in 27.3.1 (Release), but is broken in 27.4.0 (Beta). Steps to reproduce Open any document. Create a new Action (in the Actions panel). Click Record. Go to Image → Canvas Size… Change the units to millimeters (mm). Switch the size mode from Absolute to Relative. Enter values: Width: X mm Height: Z mm Click OK to apply. Stop recording. Expected resultThe Action records a Canvas Size step with parameters: With Relative Width: X mm Height: Z mm Horizontal: Center Vertical: Center Extension Color: Background Actual result (27.4.0 Beta)The Action records a Canvas Size step with: With Relative Width: (blank) Height: (blank) Horizontal: Center Vertical: Center The Width and Height fields exist in the recorded step, but their values are not saved (empty).Adobe Photoshop Version: 27.4.0 20260201.m.3398 df09e8f arm64 (b
Hi, why can't I use removal tool on-device on Photoshop beta 27.7.0 Release (the device option is dimmed) even I meet the requirements, the GPU I currently used is Geforce RTX 5070 Ti 16GB and have enough HD space ?
in the previous version they worked, but now there is no change whatsoever when applying any of the parametric filters to an image.
Photoshop 27.6.0 Beta - using Find Distractions General.....I often get this error "288b8e.122". It occurs when I run the General Distraction finder, and then select a particular kind, e.g. vehicles......then I used the ⌘- key to try and brush away the removal on, say, one of the vehicles leaving the rest - and it faults. If I let all the vehicles run, it removes them all - so it has to do with trying to remove part of the selection.Start the Find Distractions | General Tool - on an image with some vehicles and other distractions When complete, turn off / select none; then just select the vehicles option Using the ⌘--key, brush away one of the vehicles and then confirm with the check-mark Watch for the error “288b8e.122” Try again - but do not edit the generated masks…..seems to run okay
If you go into the channels, double click a channel and get this pop box for options. The way it used to work was, when the box popped up, you could press tab and it would move focus to the next section, “Color Indicates”. When it landed in that section, it would automatically select the first option, “Masked Area”. Using the down arrow key, it would select the next option, then the next. So you could move through this dialog very quickly, without using the mouse. It worked like that for decades. In the last 5 or 6 years, You double click the channel, you press tab, it jumps to the “Color Indicates” section, but does not automatically select the first option, it just sort of hi lights it. At that point, you could press the spacebar to make a selection. Then you could use the up/down arrow to hi light an option, then spacebar to select it. That worked well enough that I didn’t complain. It used to move through the options as fast as I pressed keys. Then, it got slow. I press
So as you can see, it's a PG-13 relatively inoffensive image of a woman in a bunny outfit. The top worked fine, and I was able to complete the top ear, which is cool. When I tried to extend the bottom with generative fill, though, I got this warning. They're just a pair of legs wearing stockings, and I wanted to extend it. It feels like a false flag - though I could be wrong? I find myself thinking it would do the same for women in swimsuits. Figured I'd share here.
When I choose “Export as” from the file menu, or rightclick in the layers panel to export a layer, the window that pops up for exporting just says “An unknown error occurred” and I cannot select anything. I just updated to beta 27.4.0, and this seems to be happening on every document. This also only seems to be happening if I have “Use Legacy Export As” Selected under preferences? I need the legacy mode to be enabled considering Adobe made some weird changes to how their PNG8 exporting works at some point, I need the legacy version to preserve the alpha channel on those. It still does Quick Export to PNG correctly, even if I have both “Legacy mode” and “export as 8bit” on the Quick Export as PNG option, so it at least seems like file type that isn’t part of the issue. No idea what is though. Extra note, I saw someone with a similar problem where theirs freezes when they switch to JPG, so it might be good to note that my dialog window is defaulting to JPG momentarily before the error p
Hi, since a few days when opening Photoshop, the keys don't work properly. I can't use CTRL+N or +O for a new file or to open a File. When I open an image by mouse, I can click on the tools and rename the layers for example. But I can't use the keys to select the tools or to increase/decrease my brush. The Function keys still work so I can show/hide my layers/colors etc. Anyone an idea? Already went to Preferences/Tools and turned on/off Spring-loaded Tool Shortcuts, that didn't do the trick. Also tried booting in Save mode and clearing all preferences to defaults.. Nothing works. If I open Illustrator, the keys work. Anyone an idea? This drives me crazy 😞
Nano banana taking longer / endless generation and sometimes showing "something went wrong"
Select layer, add layer mask (ensure layer mask is selected), select gradient too and ensure options set to linear and black to transparency with black in the foreground. There is no gradient to transparency - only a vertical line as shown in the attached. In addition adjusting the points of the gradient does not update the gradient positions. It used to work fine until recent releases.
When trying to add additional areas to the edges of an image using Generative Fill, it creates mismatched colors at the junction of the new and existing parts. It deviates slightly from the original areas, resulting in a grid-like pattern in those areas where new parts were created using the Generative Fill option, even if I fill them with 1024x1024 pixel sections. I have already uninstalled the app and reinstalled it, but the issue persists. I am using an iMac Pro running Ventura 13.3.1 system. Photoshop Beta 24.7.0

Following the recent update, the Hue/Saturation functionality appears to be experiencing issues. Specifically, adjustments to saturation result in a complete blockage, and the Hue and Lightness controls are unresponsive. Furthermore, there is an observed anomaly where the photo can be dragged horizontally and vertically. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dOl-797uXvE
Hi there, unfortunately this bug (https://community.adobe.com/t5/photoshop-beta-bugs/p-photoshop-doesn-t-use-30-bit-display-depth-banding-issues-in-light-grey-tones/idi-p/15224234?search-action-id=826312321878&search-result-uid=15224234) is still there and has not been resolved by Adobe. It temporarily worked with one NVidia driver (581.57) and reverted to the old behaviour with later drivers. The problem with the 581.57 driver was, that every display profile was ignored by Photoshop and set to sRGB by Windows which is not the correct behaviour. So please, Adobe, investigate and fix this!Thank you.
