Exporting layers to files -- no way to retain full layer name
I'm really tired of complaing about Photoshop developers' lack of awareness of the way that the program is used by people working with video and animation, e.g. no simple support for alpha channels.
Here's another one.
I needed to bring a PNG sequence into Photoshop for some hand cleanup of transparency, and the easiest way to do this was to load similar frames into a stack.
I now simply want to spit them back out with EXACTLY the same names the layers have, since those were the original frame names.
It seems that with Export > Save Layers to File this is not possible.
The tool insists on a prefix, first of all, even when the box is left empty it will prefix with a frame number starting at 0000 even though my layers all have unique names (including containing their original correct frame number).
AND, the tool then also suffixes the output frame names with the file format, even though my layers also contain the PNG extension already as well.
This tool needs additional functionality to allow for layers to simply be output with EXACTLY the original name.
